Zum Litfass in Rostock

Wir gehen seit langem dort essen wenn wir in Rostock sind. Aber die letzten Jahre war es dort schöner. Die Bedienung usw. Die Preise haben sich ja auch stark erhöht. Undxdie Karte ist mächtig ausgedünnt. Nee wir gehen woanders hin. Sorry.

Freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen war in Ordnung. Das Lokal könnte besser gereinigt werden.

Essen war sehr lecker. Nur Männer werden von der Portion leider nicht satt.

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und wurden sehr gut bedient!

Waren zum Feiertag da. Hatten vorher aber glücklicherweise reserviert. Karte ist übersichtlich aber jeder sollte was finden. Finde es auch besser weniger ist manchmal mehr. Die Bedienung war freundlich und schnell. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt es hat allen gereicht. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder

The restaurant was half empty, yet there was no way to get a table for 5 people plus a child. No "Reserved" signs. We ate elsewhere, and it was still pretty empty when we walked by. So another restaurant must have made the money.

The food was prepared quickly and was generally decent and tasty. There was no salad, even though it was advertised on the online menu. The pumpkin cream soup wasn't available either. The entire wait staff stood outside smoking for a long time, and the chef just stared at me at the counter but couldn't bring me any drinks.

I snagged a spot spontaneously. The service was very courteous and quick, and the food was delicious. The Greek tarte flambée is highly recommended, as is the solyanka. Each appetizer comes with two slices of garlic bread, which taste fantastic.

We had dinner there on July 15, 2025. It wasn't great. I had fried chicken with matcha. I was asked if I wanted a senior's plate, and I said yes, that was a good idea. But a large portion was deducted.

I can't remember ever having such a delicious Strindberg steak. And the fried potatoes are also fantastic, golden yellow and crispy. I'll definitely be back! Excellent value for money, unfortunately missing a star: I sat outside, it was quite warm, and the dog was under the table. So he would have certainly appreciated a bowl of water. Update: Today, the two of us were here and had an excellent meal. The first thing the staff did was bring the dog a bowl of water and some extra treats – his owner is happy! So, there are no complaints at all, the food, the atmosphere, the service – everything was very, very good. Thank you very much!

Great experience – highly recommended! The food was incredibly delicious and arrived surprisingly quickly – I'd barely ordered it and it was on the table. The staff were consistently very friendly and attentive, which made the experience particularly pleasant. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I'd definitely be back!

We had reserved 45 places for dinner for a large group months in advance. When we arrived at the agreed time, not only had our reservation been forgotten, but the staff were also extremely rude, making no attempt to resolve the problem, and offering no apologies.

We enjoyed our visit two years ago. This time we were disappointed. We weren't satisfied. The wild rice is cheap long-grain rice; they don't tell you this beforehand. The veal cutlets were almost burnt and very meager. The value for money is no longer there. What a shame.

The food itself isn't the best. The staff rudely asks you to leave the restaurant about an hour before closing time. If you're looking for a relaxing evening or a peaceful meal, this isn't the place for you.

We took Pentecost as an opportunity to reserve seats for six people at Litfaß. I was last there 11 years ago. It won't be that long again; we were thrilled! The team is amazing, always friendly and committed to providing the best service. From the delicious main course to the ice cream sundae, everything was perfect. We'll be happy to drive from the other side of Rostock to Litfaß again soon to enjoy a great meal at a great price.

Ich war am 8.4.25 mit ein Kumpel da.Habe ein Mojito bestellt der war ohne Limetten und ohne Crasheis die Minze nicht gestoßen als ich darauf hin wies sagte die Baar Frau die sollen es so machen ohne Worte.Danach bestellte ich ein doppelten Baileys mit Eis die Eiswürfel mit der Hand in mein Glas.Und zu letz sollte ich mein zweites Glas direkt aus dem Stühle boy bekommen da fehlen ein die Worte.

I was there for the second time after a year and I have to say that I am disappointed. I took a meal with me, a portion of chicken schnitzel Jäger style with fried potatoes and a side dish. I paid a whopping €18.90 for this, so you would assume that it is a correspondingly large portion and that it should taste really good for such a price. But it's not. It was half a handful of fried potatoes that were everything but not fried, there were two small schnitzels breaded so dry that I couldn't eat them at all and the mushrooms were from a can with a dollop of sauce that tasted like Maggi fix. This was another attempt for me to give the whole store another chance, but nothing improved. The waitress was nice, but nice doesn't mean "I like working here and I enjoy doing the job". Unfortunately, the beautiful ambience cannot make up for the disappointment. In addition, it is never well attended and they place more value on the regular guests who come there every day but usually just have a drink than on other guests (there aren't any there either). That says it all. I'd rather go to the Peking duck and have a lavish buffet for 5 euros more where I can eat as much as I like and for as long as I want. All the best

Nice ambience. Top service. As soon as the glass was empty you were asked if you wanted anything else. (Recommend the house beer freshly tapped) Unfortunately, I also know it differently that you have to wait over 20 minutes for a drink. Food was ok in my opinion.

Been there twice now. The place is super nice. You don't have to wait long to be served. The food comes very quickly and is super tasty. I give out 3 extra ⭐️⭐️⭐️ because dogs are very welcome there and are also given a bowl of fresh water. Both furry friends really enjoyed the treat. Price/performance are completely consistent. Real German food. Delicious! North German sour meat and East German steak au four with spiced meat are highly recommended. Friendly service and a cozy beer garden. Be sure to reserve in advance.

A big compliment to the kitchen and service! I haven't been able to enjoy German cuisine this well in Rostock for a long time. We had lunch there today. My chicken steak was hand-breaded, juicy and just great! The fries were crispy and delicately seasoned. The others were also very happy with their food and the friendly and quick service. We'd love to come back! Keep it up!

We were really looking forward to visiting you, but unfortunately we were disappointed this time 😞 The new waitress has no plan for her job, no nice greeting, no eye contact, no customer orientation. Wanted to sell us Pepsi as Coca Cola seemed very insecure and helpless. The last time we were here the schnitzel aux four was super tasty, but today it was very sober and the fries had a strange aftertaste. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to make a complaint in advance because the waitress didn't even come to us and ask if everything was okay. When clearing the plates they asked if everything was good, I said the fries didn't taste good, no response, no apology or anything. It's a shame we know it differently from you!

So rude staff. All of a sudden the whole force went out and sat down to smoke in the outdoor dining area... I can't comment on the food as we didn't get a table, despite many free tables. But the beer was good and cheap.

Arriving spontaneously to eat without a reservation is of course not possible at all and that's okay, no problem. When the weather was great, we asked if we could sit on the terrace, a short snappy answer, there was no service on the terrace, no staff, which would have been okay, and then we moved on to the potato parlor. On the way back past the Littfass and lo and behold the terrace is open, but no problem, we won't be visiting this local establishment anymore. I can also do without unhappy staff because they come from the same industry. Waitress has completely missed her calling as a service worker. Thank God there is still hope in other restaurants.

I had a tarte flambée and couldn't complain at all! Size and taste great! Service great! Unfortunately it was at least 8 degrees too warm outside!

The food came very quickly and the fish seemed very fresh to me, everything was very tasty. The ambience in the restaurant is very nice, but the surroundings are not. There are alcoholics and junkies there (and not just a few). That really bothered me but the restaurant can't do anything about it. If you're lucky, there's "peace" there. You have to make a reservation to eat in the restaurant, but you can also order something and take it with you to your accommodation. We were satisfied.

We reserved seats in the Litfass again today. Super delicious 😋. Veal cutlets with cream mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes are highly recommended. Really great. Very friendly service. We felt very comfortable again and would love to come back.

Despite there being free places, we were turned away. We just wanted to have a quick drink, which is what I said. But without a reservation it was probably not possible for us to stay for 15 minutes. We are now leaving our holiday money somewhere else. A pity.....

The place itself is very nice and nice beer garden. All I can say about the food is that I ordered the Jägerschnitzel and what can I say, the schnitzel wasn't seasoned at all, the croquettes were very good, the mushrooms were fresh and the sauce was delicious. All in all for the food 3 stars location 5 stars service also 3 stars. The service was very friendly but she felt caught because she had apparently made a mistake because my wife had ordered schnitzel twice and she apparently didn't understand it.

A Valentine's Day meal took us back to the Litfass. The restaurant scores with a good ambience, very friendly staff and good food. We were always full. We were just unlucky that after dinner a noticeably drunk man first walked across the room and then sat down next to us and didn't want to leave. Luckily we just had to pay quickly and “escaped”. Not a nice end to the evening, as we would have liked to stay a little longer. He then turned to other guests. We will still come back because we have only had good experiences there.

Trotz vollem Haus bekamen Wir (zwei Personen) einen Platz am Runden Tisch. Ein sehr hübsch eingerichtetes Speiselokal,mit einem jungen freundlichem Team. Die Cocktails waren sehr lecker und wir bekamen trotz des vollem Lokal noch etwas zu essen. Vielen Dank wir fühlten uns sehr wohl im Litfass/ Lütten Klein
