The food is delicious, the selection is huge, and there's something for everyone. We've always had a very friendly and attentive waiter. We'll definitely be going back, as it's really worth it. The value for money is excellent.

How did these reviews come about? The food arrived after at least a few minutes. The meat was tough. The spaetzle were soggy. The salad wasn't fresh. My stomach was rumbling immediately after eating. Never again!

We dined at Klosterwirt on November 29, 2025. Making a reservation online with confirmation was perfect. We felt very comfortable. The food was impeccable, tasted absolutely delicious, and offered excellent value for money. The exceptional service surprised us; everyone, including the young man at the bar, was very attentive. We felt completely at ease and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Here, they still cook properly. Whether meat, fish, or vegetarian, everything is perfect, and the service is always excellent.

We had our Christmas party there. Everything was perfect :-) The service was great, the food delicious and super fast :-) We were all served our meals at the same time with 17 people and had a wonderful mulled wine reception in the beautifully decorated beer garden. And everything was perfect here. As a multi-award-winning chef with international experience, I know exactly what I'm talking about. Seriously – the menu was pleasantly concise, incredibly creative, and wonderfully balanced; the food was truly outstanding. Finding a lunch of this quality, including water, wine, and coffee, for under €500 for 17 people is quite rare in this region, which is sometimes outrageously overpriced. We will definitely be back. The super friendly and pleasantly relaxed service, the cozy atmosphere, and the excellent food completely won us over. 9.5 out of 10 points

Amazing cheeseburger with salad and an espresso martini 😍 We were there with a large group and received a warm welcome and excellent service. The truffle fries were also delicious 🤤 We sat at a large table in the extension; it was a bit drafty there, but it was still very cozy and lovely.

Thanks to a tip, we walked here. Good thing we had a reservation. We would have loved to come back the next day, but no chance... We'll come again next time we're in Friedrichshafen. We were there again, and it was delicious and pleasant once more. That's exactly how it should be.

I went to the Klosterwirt restaurant with a friend, and we were both absolutely delighted! The food was excellent and served very quickly. I was particularly impressed by the wide selection of vegetarian dishes—no boring, standard fare, but truly creative and unique options. The service was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. We felt completely at ease. Regarding parking: The website stated that parking was available in front of and behind the building. Unfortunately, both spaces were occupied, and the free parking space behind the building apparently belongs to an employee, so we couldn't park there. However, as an alternative, you can park for free with a parking permit in the nearby ZF parking lot—this worked well, but it would be helpful if this information were communicated more clearly beforehand. All in all, a fantastic experience—we will definitely be back!

We were very satisfied, as always :-) Great food, super friendly service, and warm hosts. We especially liked the selection of vegetarian dishes, as well as the steaks and Swabian specialties. It's wonderful to find homemade food these days. The cocktails and spritz variations are also very good, not just the standard selection. The whole experience was rounded off by the incredibly friendly service staff, making us feel very comfortable. We're looking forward to our next visit!

1 Star Disappointing since the change of ownership – disrespectful treatment and unpleasant attitude towards guests For many years, I was a regular at the Klosterwirt, not every day, but regularly enough to know what it used to be like. For a long time, it was a place I happily recommended – the atmosphere was pleasant, and the previous owner was proper, friendly, and customer-oriented. Unfortunately, since the junior owner (R. S.) took over, a lot has changed. This isn't just based on my personal experience: A look at the Google reviews confirms that things have gone downhill since the change of ownership – prices have risen significantly, while portions are said to have gotten smaller. Whether that's worth it is a matter of personal opinion. If the food is good, you're happy to pay a little more – that's not the issue. My problem is the way guests are treated. During several visits, I noticed an unpleasant, sometimes even derogatory, tone. I was reprimanded twice for something completely harmless – redeeming a voucher – in a manner I find simply inappropriate in the restaurant industry. The tone was brusque, unprofessional, and had nothing to do with normal customer service. Particularly disappointing: The owner himself sent me to the brewery, telling me to "complain there." I did so openly and transparently. Shortly afterward, he had someone else tell me I was "talking behind his back" and shouldn't come back. Instead of addressing me directly, the whole thing was conveyed indirectly through third parties – a sign, in my opinion, that criticism isn't accepted but taken personally. There used to be a saying: "The customer is king." Unfortunately, this lesson seems to have been lost here. Looking at the current reviews, it's clear that my experience isn't an isolated incident. The respectful service that used to characterize this establishment seems to have disappeared under the new management. I don't usually write negative reviews, but in this case, I think it's important that other guests know what to expect. I can no longer recommend the Klosterwirt under its current management and will avoid it in the future. I used to recommend this restaurant to many people – I certainly won't be doing that anymore. It's truly a shame what has become of what was once a very pleasant inn.

We go here regularly. The food is always delicious and the portions are perfect. The lunch menu is especially recommended. They always have a variety of dishes and they're incredibly fast. And that's without compromising on quality. The only downside is that the acoustics can be quite loud when there are larger groups or lots of customers, especially in the winter side room.

Absolutely thrilled. If I could, I'd give it six stars. Truly authentic, honest cuisine without any unnecessary frills. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back.

The restaurant is a cozy, rustic eatery; no designer has yet moved in with modern lounge furniture and backless benches. Reservations are highly recommended, even during the week, as the restaurant was quite busy. The service is extremely attentive, and the dishes were served promptly. Vegetarians also have a substantial selection of dishes. Overall, the menu is very well curated. There's an interesting selection of aperitifs, cocktails, etc. The dessert menu is also impressive. Delicious food and drinks; a varied menu with something for everyone; super-friendly staff. The noise level is a bit high when the restaurant is full (which is almost always), but otherwise everything is perfect.

The food was excellent. The service, unfortunately, was merely adequate. The waiter immediately addressed us informally, was very pushy, and even put his hand on one of my friends' shoulders to make it clear that he thought her dessert selection was well-chosen. That's completely unacceptable.

It's the best German restaurant in Friedrichshafen! The beer is excellent, and most importantly, we met Alessio, the Italian waiter—he's super friendly and personable.

We were absolutely thrilled: the roast beef with Zeiebel was legendary, and the salad was absolutely delicious! The entire atmosphere and staff were very friendly, and on top of that, the food was very quick. It's also conveniently located on the B31! We would go back anytime!

We were there quite early in the evening, which meant we had our own seating and were served extremely quickly. The staff was consistently very friendly. Among other things, they offer typical local dishes, such as Maultaschen (swabian pasta) and Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle), which were delicious. There's also a small selection of delicious desserts. The prices aren't cheap, but they're quite reasonable for the overall package.

It was a surprising discovery. I ordered a swede roast braten and the meat was delicious. The portions are huge, so be careful how much you order. We couldn't even get to the desserts, which also looked spectacular. We'll be back if we have the chance.

Our visit to the Klosterwirt proved to be an exceptionally good decision. Although the restaurant is somewhat remote from the city center, the ambiance and cozy beer garden more than made up for it. All the dishes were a culinary sensation, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive.

The service was super friendly, the food arrived quickly, but... The fish plate turned out to be a vegetable plate. Two thin, barely palm-sized pieces of fish for €27! The monastery host was more than disappointing here. The succinct response to the complaint was that fish is simply expensive. A visit will be reconsidered for the next vacation. A real shame!

Awesome restaurant!!! They also offer gluten-free burgers. Ten of us were there last night. Apart from the exterior, which initially made us fear something terrible, it was a fantastic evening. Our waiter impressed us with his charm, expertise, and wit. The food was all freshly prepared and delicious. Even though all ten of us ordered different dishes, all the dishes arrived at the same time. Anyone in Friedrichshafen absolutely has to go there.
