Apparently, the restaurant makes enough money. I've tried calling several times to order something (during opening hours), but the phone hasn't answered several times. There are plenty of alternatives for good, traditional German cuisine.

We went there for the first time with a group of 8 people and had great expectations. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We ordered various dishes including roulades, schnitzel and liver dumplings. The roulade was extremely tough, the liver dumplings had a much too intense clove taste, and overall the taste of the food didn't impress us. Added to this was the unfriendly service, which made the stay even more unpleasant. We also found it particularly negative that they charged €1 extra per dish just to have leftovers packed up - that's absolutely unusual. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant and will definitely not be coming back.

This was our first time here. The service was friendly, and the ambiance is rather rustic. The portions are large, but I found the food to be only average in terms of taste. My schnitzel didn't quite impress me, so I only ate half. The appetizer salad was unfortunately very oily, so I had to throw some of that back. It's okay for an occasional meal, but it's not a place I'd return to regularly. The value for money is average, with one minor drawback: they don't accept debit cards.

I've eaten here several times, and everything has always been great! Today I wanted to reserve a table by phone...I called on repeat for over 40 minutes, and no one answered! Do you no longer need to take reservations? I'm very disappointed!

Had dinner at this restaurant today. I ordered a rump steak and was absolutely thrilled. You get good portions for your money. Keep it up. Wasn't the last time I was there.

Here you can find Palatinate dishes in large portions at a fair price. The service is friendly and competent. We really enjoy eating here.

I actually came here with high expectations, great reviews, so I thought it could only be good. Service was also great, very friendly, attentive and quick. The food also came very quickly. Ambiance is absolutely okay, it was just incredibly cold. Unfortunately the food wasn't that special. The schnitzel came out of the deep fryer and was breaded way too thickly. Instead of the gypsy sauce it was actually a gravy and then a few pieces of paprika on the schnitzel. . The side salad was boring, a bit of cabbage and carrots and green salad, barely dressed. It's a shame, I don't think the price-performance ratio is right, at least for this dish. I can't judge other dishes, they might be better

I've been there many times and have always been very happy with the service, taste and price. I really enjoy eating here and so do all of my friends. So... let's go. ... But it's better to reserve in advance. It's always well attended, no wonder given the taste.

Consistently good and, above all, very generous portions have been available for decades. Prices are also absolutely justified. We had the rump steak and cordon bleu. The side salad was both excellent and particularly praiseworthy. White cabbage, radish, carrots, potatoes and green salad, all freshly made and not canned. A special thank you to Mrs. W., who was able to offer us a table with enough space for the stroller despite being full. I would highly recommend it and we would be happy to continue to be guests for decades to come

Wanted to visit the restaurant yesterday. But when I saw the prices, I turned back. It's a disgrace to charge such prices.

Anyone who likes home-style cooking is in good hands here. The restaurant is rustic and comfortably furnished. The menu offers a number of schnitzel dishes, rump steak, but also typical Palatinate dishes. We had the Jägerschnitzel, the Rahmschnitzel and the Paprikaschnitzel, each with fried potatoes and salad. All were good, only in my cream schnitzel the meat itself could have been a little more seasoned. What has to be emphasized is the size of the schnitzels: they are incredibly large, the portion is difficult or impossible to manage, but you can have the leftovers packed up to take away. What should be highlighted is the very nice and attentive service. We'd love to come back. It is advisable to reserve.

We had dinner there today. A restaurant that is unfortunately very rare to find today. It is very bright and comfortably furnished. The food is made with a lot of love and everything is homemade. The cook even comes outside and asks if everything was okay and sometimes takes an empty plate into the kitchen. The waitresses are very friendly. You can also take home-made sausage, canned or fresh. There is also a small side room for celebrating in small groups. The menu is not very large but it is very tasty. There is a changing lunch menu throughout the week. On Sunday there are schnitzels, steaks, sauerbraten and skewers. All in all, I can only recommend the restaurant. But you should reserve in advance. Even if you stay open a little longer than planned, you still feel welcome and not thrown out.

Sehr gutes Essen, große Portionen und sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. 👍

Manchmal schwer einen Platz zu bekommen, wenn man aber einen bekommt, wird man belohnt. Tages Gerichte in einer Qualität die man sonst fast nirgends findet. Von der Karte ist mein Favorit das Cordon Pleu. Wahnsinn. Dazu die Pilzrahmsosse, ein Gedicht. Für jeden eine klare 5* Empfehlung.

Das Essen ist sehr, sehr gut und die Portion wirklich üppig. Das Ambiente ist rustikal, mitunter geht es lebhaft zu. Das Schnitzel ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Das beste Speiselokal vor Ort seit Jahren, mit einer abwechslungsreichen Karte und qualitativ hochwertigen Speisen und Getränken. Die Portionen sind groß und die Preise dafür angemessen. Kleinere Kinder- und Rentnerportionen gibt es auch. Ein sehr freundlicher und familiärer Service bestimmt die zwanglose Atmosphäre. Das Ambiente ist schlicht, alles ist sauber und gepflegt. Im Lokal sind alle Altersgruppen vertreten. Kinder sind gerne gesehen. Auch Hunde sind kein Thema. Wer die deftige Pfälzer Küche liebt, der ist hier genau richtig und sollte für Mittwoch einen Tisch reservieren, da dienstags am Ruhetag geschlachtet wird. Von der Größe der Schlachtplatte werden Unkundige immer wieder positiv überrascht und zuweilen überfordert. Hier werden oft zwei Personen satt. Was nicht gegessen wird, kann auf Wunsch hin eingepackt und für den Folgetag mitgenommen werden. Empfehlenswert sind alle angebotenen Gerichte. Meine persönlichen Favoriten sind das Cordon Bleu vom Schwein und das Rumpsteak mit Zwiebeln. Vegetarier werden hier nicht glücklich, wir befinden uns klar im Reich der Karnivoren. Die Baulichkeiten sind älter und leider nicht für Menschen im Rollstuhl ausgelegt. Treppen am Vorder- und Hintereingang versperren den Zugang, eine seperate Toilette fehlt. Speisen können aber auch mitgenommen werden. Im Sommer wird eine Handvoll kleinerer Tische im Freien angeboten. Fazit: Wer gut und reichlich Essen will und sich an vollen Tischen nicht stört, der ist beim 'Wagners Fritz' goldrichtig aufgehoben. Klare Empfehlung!

Ziemlich große und leckere Schnitzelportionen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ambiente erinnert an die 70er Jahre, sehr altmodisch dennoch gemütlich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, zuverlässig und schnell.. das Essen scheint zu schmecken wobei die Auswahl als Veganer sich auf Pommes und Salat beschränkt, dennoch gut improvisiert und einen veganen Salat erstellt! Ich erhoffe mir vielleicht 1-2 vegane Gerichte!

Die Schnitzel sind gut und bei der Größe wird man definitiv satt. Auch die Beilagen wie zB die hausgemachten Spätzle und der Beilagensalat können sich sehen lassen. Verbesserungspotential gibt es allerdings bei der Pilzsoße- diese ist sehr dünn und die Pilze sehen nach Dosenpilzen aus. Der Service ist jedoch top und das Ambiente „wie früher“ - zum Wohlfühlen.

Sehr leckeres Essen und die Portionen sind ihr Geld mehr als wert, kann ich ohne Bedenken weiter empfehlen. Mein Tipp besser ein Tisch Reservieren lassen !!
