The terrace is very nice, and the beer garden is also very nice. The service is very friendly, and even if you have to wait a bit for the food, it's worth the wait.

Very tasty food, definitely worth repeating

We were truly impressed by the delicious food and the friendly service. It's open on Mondays when almost everything else is closed. We've become regulars there now. A visit is absolutely recommended. You won't be disappointed by the food, nor by the absolutely lovely owners and the attentive service staff.

I highly recommend it; everything was excellent, and the price-performance ratio was right. What more could you want!

Stopped in for an early dinner during the week. A very nice restaurant located right on the canal. Large private parking lot. Lovely beer garden terrace. Delicious food at a reasonable price.

The schnitzel was delicious, the portions were generous. The staff was very friendly. All in all, it's worth a visit.

This rustic country inn with a beer garden is located a little off the beaten track. Friendly service, delicious food, and good drinks make it always worth a visit. Lunch is unfortunately only available on Sundays, but we'd be happy to return.

After 45 minutes with 7 people we still didn't have any drinks and drove off again. We kindly reminded the waitress about our order, but several other visitors who came later got drinks sooner. Actually 0 stars and not again

A beautifully located place to sit comfortably and eat on the terrace. The food is freshly prepared and presented with love. Plus it tastes sensational! The service is absolutely courteous, lovely people work here. I would eat here again and enjoy the time. Absolute recommendation.

I can recommend this place because the dishes so far were all very tasty and there wasn't a piece of meat that was tough. Extra requests will be gladly fulfilled. The owners are very welcoming and we are happy to come back again and again. Came home full and happy.

Had a delicious meal here yesterday and drank two beers. Everything my family and I ate here tasted great. Also highly recommended as a stopover while cycling or walking. The team/owner is very nice and lovely. Oh, here you get herb butter, delicious like it used to be - and not that Metro stuff. It's open here on Mondays when everything is closed

It was an invitation. We had a steak with mushroom holondais sauce and french fries. I can only recommend cooked to perfection!!!

We went to the schnitzel offer yesterday and had a delicious meal. The young lady from the service was very friendly and attentive. If this continues, there is a clear recommendation

Sunday afternoon, no coffee, no cocoa, no cake. Unfortunately, only two-thirds of the extensive menu was available. Unfortunately not recommended.

It doesn't work at all! My parents' diamond wedding, table for 6 people ordered on the terrace. Table dirty, without decorations but with used ashtrays, all chairs broken and worn out. The schnitzel frozen goods were dripping with fat. Rump steak hard and impossible to chew. The whole time the smelly drain kept bringing a stench to the table. Toilet dirty and only Zewa roll to dry hands. When I gave the boss feedback, she immediately became aggressive and called me rude. Unbelievable! Never again in the forestry house!!

This time it was the biggest failure I've experienced in a long time. We were there with 4 people on Saturday July 20th. When we came to the table and ordered our drinks, they didn't come. The tables next to us didn't get any drinks either. Then the food came all at once: main course, starter, salad, bread dip. But still no drinks. Very great food without drinks. The other guests have left. So really poor.

Unfortunately TK schnitzel. Also drowned in sauce. Salad was a bit carelessly prepared, but the dressing was delicious. Service friendly, a bit slow due to the high number of guests. Ambiance could be a bit nicer, but acceptable. Fresh flowers on the tables appear to have been left over from a funeral due to the selection. Unfortunately there were also a lot of flies inside the restaurant and dead flies on the window sills for a long time. You could hang some traps and clean the window sills more often. All in all, you can eat there, but there is still room for improvement 😉

Delicious food, normal prices, nice staff, nice terrace whether in sun or shade.

Staff friendly and good food at a fair price

The forester's lodge was well attended and is a good destination for cyclists. The service was very attentive. It's a shame that you can't pay by card. This should be mentioned on the website. We were lucky that one of the three of us had cash with us.

The food is really delicious and a decent portion... unfortunately the service needs to be improved.. you wait too long for drinks.. Nevertheless, we would like to come back.

Unfortunately there was NO card payment possible here, so we left again. Bad customer service!

Food a la carte was tasty, service was understaffed and overwhelmed with five occupied tables. Coffee machine failed, drinks took a long time or were not available at all. Actually a nice excursion restaurant next to the canal underpass.

Delicious schnitzels, decent portions, nice staff, what more could you want. The entrance with the bar still has the old charm. We are TOP satisfied.

We were there with 15 people for our special birthday, so we had ordered the menu in advance. Everything was excellent from the wedding soup to the dessert, very tasty sauces for the schnitzel platter. The staff was friendly and accommodating, special praise for the kitchen. Ein älterer Landgasthof. Familiär gemütlich mit Terrasse. Freundliche, aufmerksame Bedienung. Essen sehr lecker und auch für das Auge zubereitet. Werden gerne wiederkommen. Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Vielleicht nochmal überdenken! Auf einer Radtour nimmt man wenig Bares mit. Karte passt dann. Der Hunger ist auf jeden Fall da.

Wir haben hier mit unserer Familie zum Abend gegessen. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist sehr gut. Leider muss ich einen Stern abziehen, weil wir auf das Trinken und Essen länger warten mussten. Die Speisen waren aber sehr gut serviert und haben uns auch gut geschmeckt. Es gibt auch eine gemütliche Terrasse.

Ordentliche Portionen und lecker war es auch. Man kann schön draußen sitzen.

Immer wieder gerne fahren wir zum Forsthaus zum Essen, Mittags oder auch Abends. Nette Bedienung, aufmerksame Wirtin und das Essen ist immer mit Liebe angerichtet und schmeckt hervorragend. Die Karte ist vielseitig, aber nicht zu groß, so dass man sich in der Küche auf die Gerichte voll konzentrieren kann. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist voll okay. Wir hoffen, wir können noch lange zum Forsthaus gehen.

Leckeres Essen. Für jeden Geschmack was dabei.

Wir kommen sehr gerne in dieses Restaurant. Das Essen schmeckt uns hervorragend. Ob Schnitzel oder Fisch Die karte hat für jeden etwas. Auch eine kinderkarte ist vorhanden. Preis Leistung ist absolut korrekt. Keine langen Wartezeiten und immer sehr freundlich. Die Lage direkt am Kanal ist wunderschön um danach noch einen Spaziergang zu machen.

Mein Mann und ich gehen häufiger im Forsthaus essen, meist am Sonntag Nachmittag. Bisher wurden wir immer sehr zuvorkommend bedient und haben nette Gespräche mit der Wirtin gehabt. Das Essen ist einfach super und mit viel Liebe gemacht. Geschmacklich und optisch ein Genuss. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hierher, weil einfach die Atmosphäre, das Essen und der Preis stimmt.

Die Gerichte sind frisch zubereitet, von hoher Qualität und entsprechend selbstbewusst zubereitet – die Küchentür ist offen. Die Atmosphäre ist familiär und typisch ländlich. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!

Schöner Landgasthof , den wir spontan heute Nachmittag auf einen Kaffee besucht haben. Auf Anfrage war es sofort möglich, unsere 5 Hunde mit hinein zu nehmen. Daraufhin waren wir noch am gleichen Tag zum Abendessen dort, sehr freundliches Personal, gute Speisekarte und hervorragendes Essen. Gerne wieder!

Hatten heute dort eine Geburtstagsfeier mit 8 Erwachsenen und einem Kind. Waren alle super zufrieden. Essen war sehr lecker und heiß und das Preis-, Leistungsverhältnis passt. Wir haben gleichzeitig alles serviert bekommen. Danke an das gesamte Team. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren vor einiger Zeit als keglerverein 2 mal ihr gast. Es gab wenig Grund etwas zu beanstanden.leider hat sich unser Verein aufgelöst.ihr essen war klasse und es gab auch einfache Speisen wie Currywurst oder Matjes. Alles gute für sie

Eigentlich 5 Sterne für das Essen. Sehr lecker. Preis passt. Nettes Ambiente. 1 Stern Abzug für die Bedienung. Kipt Getränk um und musste erinnert werden es weg zu wischen. Es wird einem wenig Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt.

Gutes Restaurant in ruhiger Lage mit freundlicher Bedienung und wirklich leckerem Essen. Die Portionen waren waren reichlich und die Preise in Ordnung.

Das Essen war lecker. Hätte aber heißer sein können. Es war sehr sonnig, da hätte das Personal die Schirme aufspannen können. Pralle Sonne auf der Terrasse. Geben aber eine zweite Chance.

First time trying out turkey schnitzel and it was mind blowing. Never knew curry goes so well with Hawaiian sauce.

War dort zum Essen eingeladen. Das Essen war sehr lecker,es gab Deichselhirsch mit Kartoffeln und Klöße und Rotkohl.Es war absolut top.(Deichselhirsch)=Pferd.Ich kann das Forsthaus nur Weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren mit 5 Pärchen zum Spargelessen angemeldet.Als wir nach einer 10 km Wanderung dort hungrig und durstig eintrafen und man uns unseren reservierten Tisch zuwies wurde uns eröffnet,daß es keinen Spargel gibt!!! Stattdessen reichte man uns eine Speisekarte auf der wir die Auswahl zwischen 3 Schnitzel-, 2 Steak Variationen,1x Pute und einen Salatteller hatten. Nachdem meine Frage, ob hier gerade eine Folge Verstehen Sie Spaß gedreht wird mit "Nein" beantwortet worden ist, wurde uns der Ernst der Situation schlagartig klar. Service: Getränke nach 30 min und auch erst nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen Esssen über 1 Stunde Wartezeit, gerade einmal Pommes-Buden Niveau! Wer also nicht gerade seiner "geliebten" Schwiegermuitter einmal einen Gefallen erweisen möchte,dem ist zu raten: Finger weg

Leider hat sich die Qualität der Speisen verschlechtert. Man muss schon recht lange auf Getränke warten ( wenn diese nicht gerade vergessen werden ). Was einen am meisten stört ist die Tatsache, dass sich die Speisekarte sie ewigen Zeiten nicht geändert hat. Nicht einmal an den Wochenenden ( Mittagstisch )gibt es etwas anderes. Immer das Selbe. Schade, war mal ein super Restaurant. Die jungen Mädels, die dort zur Aushilfe arbeiten, geben sich Mühe. Aber halt nur Aushilfen und kein Fachpersonal. Dass merkt man aber auch. Gebt Euch doch wieder Mühe. Es war mal echt toll bei Euch. Vor allem die Uraltkarte.
