It's no fun eating here. The conservatory is incredibly loud. The sound reflects off the bare ceiling. To have a conversation, you have to speak (shout) louder and louder. And what does Zorba do? Since you can't hear the music anymore, he turns it up even louder! The magic word is: TURN IT OFF.

Excellent restaurant with delicious food and super friendly staff. Top-notch!

We went to Zorbas with a group of 12-13 colleagues for our Christmas party. While we generally understand that larger groups can take longer, the wait times here were simply too long: both the appetizers and the main courses took over two hours to arrive. What disappointed us even more, however, was the service. Empty glasses were barely noticed, and we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Especially in the restaurant industry, where drinks make up a large portion of the revenue, we would have expected more attentive service. Instead, we often felt ignored. The restaurant's ambiance is actually very nice and quiet, but due to the poor service and the extremely long wait times, we unfortunately won't be returning. A real shame.

Back in the day, there was always a little salad with the meal, or at least on the menu. It's probably not worth the effort to please the guests anymore. But you shouldn't miss the best appetizer: eggplant cream – perfect.

Zorbas is a long-established restaurant. They serve the same food you'd find at any Greek restaurant, only more expensive. The service lacks warmth.

I booked a table online for October 12, 2025. We were greeted very warmly and shown to our table. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. One of the wines we ordered didn't arrive, and then we paid. However, I would like to mention that the metal chairs are not suitable for older people, even though cushions were provided for our backs.

Every dish I've tried is excellent and fresh. Perfect place, atmosphere and very good and fast service!!! I highly recommend it if anyone wants to spend a beautiful evening.

.. how wonderful that this Greek restaurant stands out refreshingly from the classic Greek restaurants.. very tasteful decor, relaxed lounge music and a menu that has really been reduced to the essentials, because less is sometimes more.. I had a flavorful TARAMAS, a super-tender BEEF LIVER with ONIONS, plus various drinks and espressos.. served with warmth and charm.. I will be back!!

Four of us were there on Sunday after the town festival. I've never felt so unwelcome. The very nice beer garden was half full. There were enough servers. The drinks/food order was taken quickly. Changing the order while it was being taken was supposed to be subject to a charge. After the food was delivered, the waiter didn't come to our table again. I imagined the service to be different... The ouzo plates didn't come with the drink, and there was nothing beforehand either. I would have expected at least a slice of bread and tzatziki. Thanks. That's it...

Highly recommended, a lovely restaurant with a wonderful terrace that exudes a holiday atmosphere. We received a friendly welcome and received consistently excellent service. We enjoyed the food immensely; we will definitely return.

We ate at the restaurant with a group. Generally, the food was fine, but unfortunately, I have to strongly criticize the service of one particular member of staff – specifically because of her disrespectful treatment of me as a guest. The waitress, Nilgul, reacted completely inappropriately to a perfectly normal, polite question I asked – whether fish and meat (especially pork) are really prepared separately in the kitchen. Instead of showing understanding, she became rude and said my question was "worse than her daughter's." When I calmly explained to her why this was important to me, all she got was the condescending remark that if I thought that way, I "wouldn't even be allowed to leave the house." I clearly told her that I've worked in the restaurant industry myself and know exactly what can happen in kitchens – that's why I deliberately ask. But even then, she provocatively said she could simply lie and claim everything is prepared separately, "It's obvious that's how it's done." Later, I learned that she had just rolled her eyes behind my back. If I had seen this directly, I would have immediately gotten up and left. This kind of behavior is an absolute no-no in the restaurant industry and casts a very bad light on the restaurant. I would like to emphasize that the other waiters responded very kindly and professionally. They listened to my complaint and showed understanding. Unfortunately, the manager wasn't present, otherwise I would have spoken to him directly. I sincerely hope that management takes this incident seriously. Disrespect, condescending comments, and behind-the-back eye-rolling have absolutely no place in service—and certainly not from an employee who has direct customer contact.

The food there is good, but like everywhere else, it's gotten a bit expensive, and the selection has been somewhat reduced. The problem is that there's a lot of smoking there; non-smokers might find it annoying at times. Overall, it's OK.

The taste and quality of the food was good. The restaurant is rather expensive for a Greek restaurant. Despite apparently having enough waiters, drinks were constantly forgotten. That wasn't pleasant in temperatures over 35 degrees Celsius. Well, at least we managed to get one glass of non-alcoholic beer in the almost two hours.

The food at this restaurant is truly outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu offers a great selection, and everything we ordered was a delight. The atmosphere is also pleasant and inviting. What disappointed me, however, was that I learned that not all servers here receive the tips they are supposed to receive. For me, it's part of rewarding good service directly, and it's a shame when this money doesn't fully reach the service staff. This unfortunately casts a shadow on an otherwise great experience. Conclusion: The food is top-notch, but there's a desperate need for improvement in terms of organization – especially in the way the staff treats the restaurant.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed today. We used to love going there because of the pleasant ambiance, the relaxed atmosphere, and the super-attentive, well-dressed service, all of which, of course, complemented the delicious food. We haven't been there for two years, and today is the first time back. Unfortunately, the service and relaxed atmosphere aren't much left. The employees run around the room like startled chickens with headsets in their ears. There was no smile, no sight. We weren't even given the time of day. There was no communication at all; simply throwing cards on the table seemed to suffice. We waited a very long time for the food; no one even looked at us, and no further drinks were offered. When we wanted to pay, the machine was practically held out to us without a word. No one asked if we enjoyed it, if everything was OK, or anything like that. For such little service, it was a pretty expensive evening. The only thing that remained exactly the same as before was the food, which was delicious again. Unfortunately, after this experience, we are no longer interested in going there.

We ordered the food. I know a lot of Greek restaurants, and my Greek friends also like to cook. The stuffed vine leaves were a disgrace! They were haphazardly rolled and poorly wrapped, the leaves still very al dente. There was also a smaller portion than expected. The rest wasn't that good either, as it was cold by then. A real shame.

I ate there with my boyfriend for the first time today, and it was simply fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. The value for money is top-notch! ☺️ I'd go back anytime.

Ordered via Lieferando: The stated delivery time was 35-45 minutes. A short time later, the expected delivery time increased to "1 hour 45 minutes," and the order was then canceled. I guess I'll stay hungry then...

Ordered a delivery order from Zorbas today - everything was fine, but... I've been eating there for over 30 years and always, without exception, I eat one dish: bifeteki! But what was it today?!? A machine-made "pressed meat pocket filled with something slightly cheesy"? After 37 years, this was a total disappointment, and I hope it was an exception!

Everything was really good. Friendly staff, delicious food, and reasonable prices. The drinks selection could be a bit larger (Sinalco products aren't to my taste, unfortunately, and a lemonade alternative would be nice), and after a while, you notice the hardness of the seating in the conservatory area. But that's just complaining at a high level!

I've been trying to eat at Zorbas for months now. Disastrous! The service was disorientating. I ordered a Puls, but was given a non-alcoholic drink straight to my glass. The salad with chicken strips was completely soaked with salad dressing. They forgot to bring rice to my meat dish. The outer windows were put in around 9 p.m., and now it's slowly closing time. It was a very successful evening.

Simply beautiful! I was at Zorbas with my sister today, and we felt very comfortable from the start. The welcome was super warm, and the staff were consistently attentive and friendly. The food was truly delicious – only my chicken fillet was a bit too salty, but that was really the only minor negative. Overall, a wonderful experience with fantastic service. We would love to come back and highly recommend the restaurant!

Pretty expensive for pork. You can sit comfortably here and easily get a good drink.

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The welcome was very professional. The food was very good and delicious. While the selection may not be as extensive as at some other Greek restaurants, it was still very good quality. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. This won't be the last time we're here. Highly recommended.

Years ago, we would watch live football here with our friends and discuss whether PAOK, Borussia Dortmund, or Bayern Munich were the favorites. Now, or rather, years ago, Zorbas has transformed into a more upscale and fantastic restaurant. The food, service, and ambiance are of a high standard, and you can see that with every visit and every meal. I'm not a fan of appetizers, but the saganaki is always a hit here, followed by top-notch meat dishes. Efcharisto Zorbas - We always enjoy coming back!

Unfortunately I have to say that the Bifteki at Zorbas was probably the worst I have ever eaten. The consistency was reminiscent of vacuum-packed meatballs from a discount store and the cheese must have come from an ancient goat. Luckily we had a voucher, otherwise we would have been more than annoyed about the money we spent on this. The service was good, there's nothing to complain about. However, we will no longer visit Zorbas.

We have been to Zorbas several times and have always been completely satisfied. The food is usually always very good and plentiful. We once had the problem that the gratinated gyros had been in the oven for too long and therefore the cheese was burnt. But that was the only time the food wasn't successful. On New Year's Eve we had a table right next to the toilets. That wasn't very appetizing. When we asked, we couldn't be offered a new place because it was already fully booked. The restaurant itself is very modern, cozy and warmly furnished. A visit is definitely recommended. 4.5 stars is the best here.

We went to Zorba's bachelor party last weekend. At first everything seemed very harmonious and nice, but this impression quickly changed. The plant corner where you sat was lit by broken lamps that were constantly flickering. The request to turn it off was not complied with. The service took longer and longer, so that you had to wait 30-40 minutes for an employee. A waitress promised to take care of an order immediately, and after 30 minutes she went to the next table and sang a birthday song for another guest. When she came to our table, she said she had forgotten us and would take care of the order quickly. I'm still waiting for my drink today. The food varied between bland and drowned in fat. The toilets, when we visited, were unfortunately wet on the glasses. On the whole, you are on your own at Zorbas and should take a packed lunch with you, sunglasses for epileptics and a camping toilet, as well as a bunch of money for lousy service.

In my opinion, fried pepperoni are fresh and not the pickled ones from a jar that you sometimes have in a farmer's salad... I don't think the tzatziki was homemade, but from a bucket, the meat and liver were cold, the baby calamari wasn't crispy and was lukewarm because it was thrown on top of the soggy arugula salad... Sorry, guys, but there was a gourmet with you today who is used to better things from the Greeks in Ratingen... Also: For that price I would have eaten like a goddess somewhere else... Never again...

Thanks to a gift voucher, we ate in this restaurant today for the first and probably only time. But right from the start: after reserving a table in advance, we were allowed to sit at a rickety cat table the size of caravan furniture. No time was given to study the menu and an order was pushed vehemently. The starter looked great and was really tasty. If only we had had time to eat these in peace... Even though we hadn't finished yet, the main course was simply served and the table was so full that we couldn't eat any more. Only upon request were the dishes that were no longer needed removed and the opportunity to pack the remaining part of the starter. By now our main courses were only lukewarm. The guest room is a kind of winter garden with artificial turf, which is attempted to be warmed up using patio heaters. We were quite cold and were then able to warm ourselves up at home with an electric blanket. But the bad end came during the payment process. Our voucher was initially not accepted with the words that it had not been paid for? After some back and forth, the absent boss gave his consent so that it could still be redeemed. All in all not worth another visit.

We were invited there for Christmas Day. Parking spaces nearby are in short supply and require a 2-hour parking permit. Reception at the door was very warm and friendly. The inside of the restaurant is very cozy and stylish, with plants on the wall. It felt like you were in a lodge on safari. With a heater in the room and small lamps on the table. Unfortunately few toilets. Prices are very high for the small portions. You get white bread without butter or anything to dip it with. Ordering drinks took a while. The food was really tasty, including the dessert. Just nothing for those on a budget.

The restaurant is located in Dinslaken's old town. Very nicely located, but parking spaces in the nearby area are rare. Perfect for going out afterwards, as there are some nice dance bars in the area and the old town is ideal for taking a walk. The restaurant looks good from the outside and the impression continues inside. We were there with a large group and were quickly greeted and shown to our tables. The waiters were quite attentive and well placed, but too few to ensure the evening ran smoothly. So some regulars had to wait longer for their drinks. The fact that the food wasn't served promptly was also not ideal. For food, the quality can be described as average, upper limit. The preparation too, as several guests had complained about overcooked meat, which I was also personally affected by. That shouldn't happen, and the portions were small and expensive. 22€ small grill plate about 200g pork and a small handful of fries. Everything tasted good, the seasoning was, in my opinion, perfect. I wouldn't visit this restaurant again.

No shop is as beautifully decorated as Zorbas in Dinslaken. Great food, great ambience. More expensive than other Greeks but portions are sufficient and extremely tasty!

We went there for dinner with the family. The food was quite good but it was dripping from the ceiling and there was a bit of mold on the ceiling. I passed it on to the service staff and hope that they will take care of it, otherwise there was nothing to complain about. The staff is very friendly.

Today we went to Zorbas for Christmas Day as a family. The welcome was very warm. The door was held open for us and every employee we met greeted us with a friendly “Merry Christmas”. Our service was very friendly and attentive. Both the drinks and the food were brought quickly. Every effort was made to ensure that all visitors were well and felt comfortable. The food was very good. There were six of us and we each had a different dish. We were all super happy with our food. Delicious. I can recommend this great restaurant with a clear conscience. The prices are a little higher, but it's totally worth it! We'll definitely be back!

Wir waren heute als Familie zum 1. Weihnachtstag bei Zorbas essen. Schon der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Uns wurde die Tür aufgehalten und jeder Mitarbeiter der uns begegnet ist, hat uns mit einem freundlichen "Frohe Weihnachten " begrüßt. Unsere Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Sowohl die Getränke, als auch die Speisen wurden zügig gebracht. Man war durchgehend bemüht, dass es allen Besuchern gut geht und sie sich wohl fühlen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir waren zu sechst dort und hatten jeder ein anderes Gericht. Wir waren alle super zufrieden mit unserem Essen. Sehr lecker. Ich kann dieses tolle Restaurant mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Die Preise sind etwas höher, aber es lohnt sich absolut!

We were there yesterday with friends, not for the first time. The warm welcome alone is worth highlighting. You immediately feel welcome. The ambience gives you a holiday mood. The service was very friendly and quick. People kept asking if they wanted a drink. The food was great. We were all more than satisfied. I can only give full marks here. Service excellent, friendly, courteous, nice and quick. The atmosphere is very nice. Everything coordinated with love. The food was perfect. We had a pork fillet in Metaxa sauce with vegetables and tomato rice. Very tasty, the vegetables cooked to perfection. An ouzo plate, souzuki, meat skewer souvlaki gyros cut very thinly and very seasoned. Plus fries with tzatziki, onions and a spicy red sauce. The starter was tzatziki with bread. All recommended. You should reserve a table and you should be patient when you want to pay. Our place wasn't that nice, we had a metal table that you could walk past on both sides and it sometimes felt like a flight path. If you can hide it it's nice, but the food makes up for it. That was excellent.
