We were just there. It was very crowded, but no problem. An older lady was serving outside. When I asked if there was room for two, I was rudely told, "I don't know, you'll have to ask somewhere else." Absolutely unacceptable! There were still tables available. Pure arrogance.

Great food at fair prices, lovely ambiance, and very friendly staff. We'll be back! 😊

We always enjoyed our time here and loved it. We're both chefs, but today will probably be our last visit... The portions were very small, our husbands weren't really full, the rice was very salty, and there was no salad or ouzo either. It was noticeable that the prices were higher and the portions were smaller. It's a shame that you've changed so negatively!

We were a little stressed, even though we weren't completely full. I can't understand the lack of round liver, but a Greek restaurant without coleslaw and moussaka is unacceptable. And this was a Friday at 6 p.m. Oh well.

As always, a fantastic experience here! The service is excellent; our waitress, a lady in her prime, always keeps an eye on things despite the restaurant being full. We were shown directly to a beautiful seat with the best view. The food was, of course, incredibly delicious, and the portions were wonderfully generous; everyone was stuffed. And today, George and Maria's free ouzo is flowing again. Eating Greek food is simply a pleasure 🥰🤩Thank you so much

We were there today for the first time and also for the last time. We've never had such bad Greek food.

The food tastes good. Unfortunately, the service has some areas that could be improved. Especially when you're not on a first-name basis and are engaged in loud, private conversations about, for example, vacation plans (sometimes even unpleasant when someone overhears you), the hospitality seems somewhat limited. A friendly inquiry to see if everything was okay came too late (during clearing), and honest feedback was unfortunately not taken seriously. Reorders are difficult with the waitresses staring at the floor or turning their backs. The prices are high relative to the quantity. Portion sizes are small. I understand that the restaurant business isn't easy and hope the service can improve. Should serious competition ever arrive in Nordkirchen, Zois will have problems. The winter garden is well done. Guests who use the first-name form sometimes get a second round of ouzo on the house.

Disappointing Change in Our Former Favorite Restaurant We enjoyed visiting this restaurant for years. The food was always excellent, top-notch, and the portions were reasonable – even though the prices were always a bit higher, it was definitely worth it. However, in recent months, we've heard increasing negative comments in the area. Today we wanted to see for ourselves – unfortunately, the rumors were confirmed. Where a fresh salad used to be part of the main course, it now has to be ordered (and paid for) separately. The portions are now shockingly small – a tablespoon of rice, a handful of fries. The taste is still good, but the price-performance ratio is no longer up to scratch. Our feedback was not taken seriously – on the contrary: The manager shrugged, referring to the full house and said, in essence, that it couldn't be that bad. This restaurant has always been a special place for us – but after this visit, it's clear: We won't be coming back anytime soon. It's a real shame.

I was here for the first time today. Great service, absolutely delicious food, and all the staff were super friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Due to a severe staff shortage, students, in my opinion underage students, were assigned to the service. The head chef was on vacation. Waiting times were long, and the menu selection was limited. Given this approach, I cannot recommend this restaurant. I have always enjoyed eating there. Unfortunately, today was the last time.

Food was very good, maybe a little overpriced.

We arrived home from work one evening and were extremely hungry. It was 9:00 p.m. We called and wanted to order something. They told us the kitchen was closed, even though the website says it's open until 11:00 p.m. I personally don't think this is right, to be honest. What's the point of getting information online these days when everything's different? Unbelievable.

This wasn't our first time there...the menu has become much more concise, and the flexibility has decreased. "Could I have vegetables instead of fries?" "No, that's not possible...vegetables are only available with the fish." We took this into account when it came to service...and that doesn't apply to the waiters, but rather to the owners! Well then...it will be the last time for now. What a shame!

I used to be a huge fan of Zois Taverna. The food was always authentic, fresh, and delicious – thankfully, that hasn't changed. The kitchen knows its stuff, and there's little to criticize about the taste of the dishes. What has unfortunately changed significantly, however, are the prices and portion sizes. While a generously filled plate with side dishes like salad and fries used to be a given, today you have to pay for everything separately. Even the obligatory ouzo, which is usually served before or after a meal at a Greek restaurant as a nice gesture, suddenly appears on the bill here, even though it was brought to the table without comment. One particular annoyance: The side dishes are not only subject to a charge, they are also tiny. The rice, for example, which used to be a decent portion, is now just a meager blob, barely bigger than half a scoop of ice cream. This seems a bit stingy, especially for rice, one of the cheapest foods. The drink prices are also very high these days, making you think twice about ordering a second one. Conclusion: The taste is excellent, but the value for money is unfortunately no longer there. It's a shame that Zois Taverna has changed so much in this regard. I hope they return to their former virtues at some point.

2018 - 2025 Today we decided to go out for Greek food. Since a restaurant in our town has changed ownership, we decided to pre-book a table there. The previous owner wasn't that great. My sister had pre-booked a table. I would recommend this to anyone who plans to dine there. The restaurant was well attended. It also left a very good impression regarding the cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the owners. We were served quite quickly. We were greeted with an Uzo. The menu is quite clear but not overloaded. There was beer on tap from Krombacher. We ate gyros gratinated on a grill plate and courgette gratinated with fries and tzatziki. In addition to the grill plate and the gyros, there was also a small salad plate. Everything tasted great. The meat was all well fried. The fries looked like they were homemade. They also asked if everything was OK. Super friendly service and owner. That's how it should be. I and my family would go here again and again. Even in times of the pandemic, food could be ordered there but had to be picked up, which was ok. Afterwards we also had dinner there and can't say anything negative about the restaurant. I held my farewell dinner (retirement) there for my colleagues in November 2024. All my colleagues were thrilled and we spent a lovely evening together here. My conclusion after 7 years is always great to eat there. I give it 4 stars and a thumbs up...it's worth recommending.

We went there for the first time today, based on a recommendation. The service was okay, but not attentive and we were served the wrong drinks twice. The food was good, the portions at our table were okay, but we are used to richer Greek food, which meant that the price was not in line with us. It was far too cold in the restaurant for us and the person next to us at the table.

Zoi's plate is particularly recommended!

We were there spontaneously today at 6 p.m. and were warmly welcomed. It was no problem getting a free table even without a reservation. The service was very courteous, quick and attentive, the ambience was typically Greek, modern. We felt very comfortable! Drinks & food were served quickly, the portions were filling and tasty at very reasonable prices. I had the excellently tender, well-seasoned beef liver. There was an ouzo on the house as an aperitif. So everything was great, highly recommended!!!

Food tastes good, but unfortunately the price/performance isn't right. For 20€ gyros, the portion is unfortunately not as big as expected. Service is not on point and sometimes forgets orders.

Unfortunately, I was hoping for a little more. Service was nice, restaurant also cozy. But value for money is simply not right. I think 19 euros for a souvlaki plate is quite a lot when the portion is relatively small. Super few fries, and two skewers. In my home country I pay 5 euros less and have 4 skewers, and the quality seems higher to me. I also get pita there. Here we had regular white bread, which I can actually get in any supermarket. I really expect more. If you have the comparison, it's unfortunately not worth 5 stars. Sorry.

Stopped here on the way from Münster to Dortmund, felt very comfortable and had a delicious meal! We would love to come back...

Friendly nice staff great service

Very correct shop owner. Even though it was shortly before closing time and the coffee machine was clean, he made us a coffee for free. A really good shop can only be recommended

Sitting outside was very loud, unfortunately right on the road to the castle. 1 star deducted because I had the feeling that you had to give a tip, in this day and age and skyrocketing prices you shouldn't rely on tips anymore. For 2 starters and 2 small drinks over 30 euros, I think tipping is unnecessary.

We had met as a planning committee for a meeting on the occasion of a planned large reunion party. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was fantastic. Very well seasoned, everything at its finest. Toilets also very clean and well maintained. Since the restaurant has a very good reputation, as I was told, which now extends to Dortmund, you should book the table in advance. So if someone is looking at Nordkirchen Schloßpark and feels hungry, there is only one way "Zois Taverna".

A very good offer, especially the squid was really awesome. Overall the food was really good and perfectly prepared. The service was quick and friendly, even though there were a few guests in the restaurant. Covid check was carried out perfectly. That was reassuring that the review was being taken seriously here. It's a shame that we rarely come to Nordkirchen. Visiting this restaurant is now one more reason to stop by here more often. The whole family was very satisfied.

This evening we spontaneously went out to eat here and we drove home full and satisfied 😋👍

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, die Getränke und der Service waren auch gut. Die Atmosphäre insgesamt war katastrophal. Die Lautstärke in dem Lokal nicht zu toppen. Unterhaltung selbst mit dem direkten Tischnachbarn fast nicht möglich. Einen gemütlichen Abend stelle ich mir anders vor und werde das Lokal nicht wieder aufsuchen.

Bester Grieche im Umkreis von Selm. Sehr aufmerksamer Service, schönes Ambiente und das Essen ist erstklassig. Lediglich die Pfeffersauce war nicht so prickelnd. Vielleicht sollte die Küche sich da um ein anderes Rezept bemühen. Ansonsten waren wir 4 Personen sehr zufrieden und kommen sicherlich wieder.

Mein Mann und ich waren gestern mal wieder im Taverna essen. Wir haben uns mal etwas anders als Gyros bestellt. Mein Mann hatte das Rumpsteak und ich eine Fleischplatte mit dreierlei Sorten Fleisch, darunter auch ein kleines Rumpsteak. Das Essen war super, der Garpunkt für das Steak perfekt und die Kartoffeln waren auch sehr lecker. Auf den Kartoffeln war ein Gewürz bei dem wir uns nicht sicher waren was es ist. Da mein Mann eine Allergie gegen ein bestimmtes Gewürz hat haben wir also nachgefragt. Der Chef hatte uns das Essen gebracht und kurz den Küchenchef befragt. War alles in Ordnung mit dem Gewürz. Also konnten wir Essen. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Alle waren wie immer sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Obwohl es voll war. Als wir dann zahlen wollten ist der Bedienung aufgefallen, dass wir einen besondern Tag hatten. Sie hat sich nicht gescheut danach zu fragen. Natürlich gab es auch die Antwort. Wir haben unseren 13. Hochzeitstag gefeiert. Sie war erfreut darüber und sagte uns sogar, dass sie das nächste Mal für uns den Tisch besonders eindecken wenn wir ihnen bescheid geben. Das fanden wir schon sehr schön. Dann bot sie uns einen Roten Ouzo ( unsern Lieblingsouzo) aufs Haus an. Den wir auch annahmen. Aber die Krönung war dann noch, dass sie uns nicht nur den Ouzo brachte sondern auch einem sehr leckeren Nachtisch. Wir waren überwältigt und sprachlos. Und sagen nochmals Danke ! Zois Taverna hat uns schon vor 4 Jahren überzeugt und wir bleiben weiterhin Kunden und empfehlen das Haus immer gerne .😃

Wir waren das erste Mal bei Zois Taverna und können es nur empfehlen. Sehr schönes Ambiente, angenehme Hintergrundmusik, sehr nette Bedienung und das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Da werden wir bestimmt öfter hingehen.

Top Portionen und Geschmack! Der Service war, trotz Rush Hour sehr Hut und man musste nicht lange auf seine Bestellung warten. Sehr empfehlenswert !

Essen Ist soweit ganz okay. Für den Preis habe ich mir ein wenig mehr erhofft. Vorallem die Tintenfischringe haben mich enttäuscht. Sie lagen in Fett und waren noch schlabbrig. Vorspeise war o.k. Auch sehr schade, dass es keine vegetarischen Gerichte gibt. Lediglich 2 Salate.

Außerordentlich sauber,eine gute Auswahl an Speisen auf Wünsche wird wenn möglich eingegangen , die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet, geringe Wartezeiten das freundliche Personal rundet den Besuch positiv zur vollsten Zufriedenheit ab.Ob zu zweit oder in großer Runde mit Freunden wir haben uns immer wohlgefühlt und freuen uns aufs nächste mal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Zuvorkommend,aber nicht aufdringlich. Sehr sauber!!! Tisch wird desinfiziert und Besteck mit Handschuhe eingedeckt. Das Essen war sehr lecker !!!

Sehr nettes Lokal im Zentrum von Nordkirchen ! Wir hatten zusätzlich zur normalen Speisekarte noch eine extra Fischkarte! Als ich nach einem Fisch fragte, holte der Restaurantchef kurzerhand eine Platte mit dem rohen frischen Fisch und erklärte die Vorzüge jedes Fisches! Top... Als dann noch alle Bedienungen Sirtaki tanzten, war der gelungene Abend perfekt! Vielen lieben Dank

Dieses griechische Restaurant liegt an der Schloßstraße und hat uns überrascht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und aufmerksam bedient. Trotz der gegenwärtigen Situation und den damit verbundenen Einschränkungen haben wir uns sicher gefühlt. Wir haben diverse Mezedes bestellt. Alles war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Es ist sehr zu empfehlen.
