Zillestube in Genthin

Very good Mediterranean restaurant, extremely friendly staff. All our dishes were delicious.

We waited an hour for two dishes. The staff couldn't bring themselves to say that it would take a little longer.

Discovered by chance, now always a stopover on the way through. Absolutely retro!

The positive reviews piqued my interest, and expectations were even exceeded: - the beef roulade was excellent, just like my mother's, - the service was exceptionally hospitable, - the ambiance was rustic, simple, and unpretentious in the best sense of the word, and - the price was very reasonable. Conclusion: If I ever pass through Genthin again, a stop there is a must.

The wait time is abysmal. We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food, even though not all tables were occupied and only three tables before us had ordered. And that's despite the fact that there's essentially only one dish (a variety of schnitzels) on the menu.
