Delicious breakfast enjoyed on Sundays in a lovely atmosphere. In terms of price it was also absolutely fine. Special respect for the service staff, who was able to memorize every order without any mistakes in a large group of 8 people.

Today when I was in the central with my family and a friend, I ordered a ceaser salad, which I found very tasty. A few minutes later there was a small error in the kitchen. When I reported this, I was offered a new salad, which I declined. As an apology, I was given a cocoa, which was also very tasty. Darius sweetened my evening. Many thanks to Darius for his nice reaction and support. Nicest and best waiter who shares his job with passion and motivation.

Everything OK. My noodles were delicious, the service was good. Everything was good and without complaints, nothing special beyond that. Good for an honest normal meal. What bothers me is the narrowness. Even at tables for two, the people sitting next to each other sit so close to each other, not a hand's width apart, that it is not possible to say a few words that are not intended for anyone listening.

Clearly recommended when meeting up with friends. This is where the somewhat more mature Bochum meets. Everything is a little quieter. Food is good, portions could be a little more, then it would be appropriate for the price. Ambience nice. 100m from the parking garage.

I mainly know Central from lunchtime. The lunch menu is always very interesting and I have always been very happy with what I have chosen. It was tasty, filling and more than worth the price. The service is always friendly, quick and very helpful.

Good atmosphere and good coffee, but it felt like cheap white bread was used for the toast with Benedict egg, which didn't taste that good. In general, the dish was also quite heavy. Otherwise good place with good selection

Why does her employee have to wave the plate of olives 20 cm in front of my nose, my face? Nobody wants anything at this sensitive distance. It's like the plate is flying so close in front of you. That makes you frightened. That's disrespectful. Be mindful of distance, respect, and feelings and perceptions of others. This generation needs to learn some things that others learned at 12. 3 days later: Different service, super competent. With just one coffee, which was placed in a "low flight", and a 20ct tip, there was still a beaming smile. THANK YOU you saved it mentally!

The acoustics in the guest room are miserable, if there are a lot of people in the room you can't understand your own words. The service is hectic and creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. As a guest you feel under pressure. The "pulled salmon" is not "pulled" and the side dish is below chip shop level. More than disappointing in the price range. But well, sometimes you need to be reminded why you haven't been there for a long time.

Very friendly service; Even if the restaurant is practically full, you take your time to find a seat. Despite the full house, you get your food quickly. Good value for money at lunchtime, a bit overpriced in the evening.

Welcoming café and restaurant. Courteous service. The coffee, tea and cake are tasty and the salad is fresh. You can sit inside and outside. Despite the entrance to the parking garage, you can have a discreet conversation without major disruption from traffic.

Easily the best meal I had in Bochum, and possibly the best meal I’ve had during any visit to Germany! The food was gorgeous, lovely atmosphere with the doors open on a summer evening, and most of all fantastic service from Milena, who was absolutely charming and made sure we were well catered for all evening.

Even one star is too many. I would like to briefly describe the situation that happened to me and leave it to you to judge. There were two of us and we each ordered an iced coffee. We spent about three hours outside talking. Suddenly we were asked to leave by the staff because we had apparently consumed too little and we needed to make sales. (The restaurant was only half full.) The employee's tone and behavior were hostile and unacceptable. As two students who work in the catering industry ourselves, we have never experienced or heard of such behavior towards guests. I can only advise everyone not to choose this place if you want to spend a nice time with friends or family.

My absolute favorite café in downtown Bochum, you can sit both inside and outside, the service is always quick and also takes special requests into account :). The breakfast is wonderful, I recommend the Eggsbenedict and the breakfast wish list. The lunch and the season menu are also very convincing, I can really only recommend the shop.

Located in the heart of Bochum's center this bar & restaurant offers nice atmosphere with kind waiters. The food is OK But not place best feature. The pasta was a bit overcooked. The octopus was OK but special.

Had lunch here prior to going to watch England at the Euros. Beef tartare was spot on! Might be back again this weekend for more.

Great restaurant/café in Bochum. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or just a drink, we definitely recommend it. Great ambience and nice service. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside.

One of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. We made reservations for 10 people and were almost the only people in the restaurant. We waited about 2 hours (!!) until the food came. At some point after 90 minutes and when asked, they said, “Sorry, we’re having problems in the kitchen.” That can happen sometimes, but then you serve a small appetizer on the house - even if it's just bread and olive oil - instead of letting people stare for two hours. But here they apparently skimp on every last cent - which is also reflected in the portions. Pair of tomatoes, mozzarella, pesto and bread for ~13€. Absolutely no respect for the customer. That was our first and last visit.

CENTRAL in Bochum really impressed me! The urban atmosphere 🌆 combined with stylish furnishings immediately created an inviting atmosphere. The cocktails were excellent, every sip was a pleasure 🍹. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the evening perfect. I particularly liked the variety of the drinks menu - there is something for every taste. In terms of price, ZENTRAL is in the fair range, especially when you take into account the quality of the cocktails and the excellent service. A great place to relax after a long day.

Unfortunately it is often very full and therefore very loud. But the staff and the food are top.

Went to Café Zentral for breakfast. We had free choice of seating as the café was not that busy in the morning. The service was friendly and served us promptly. We opted for the English breakfast as well as a juice and coffee The food was delicious and filled you up enough. The juice was fresh. The atmosphere was very cozy. However, I unfortunately have to say that in the end I find the prices a bit expensive for a breakfast with a juice. I would still come back again. PS: Neither of us liked the “orange jam” at all. We couldn't taste anything like an orange here.

There's too much dessert. They thaw the frozen product and serve it. It was stale and tasteless. The shop is very nice and spacious, but unfortunately the waiters are not friendly.

Yes, Café Zentral is hip and nice and the food is good. Towels in the toilet would be nice, the music would be less loud and the service would be attentive at the right moment.

It is very nice. Good price/performance ratio. You have to book in advance otherwise it will be difficult to find space.

Urban atmosphere, average food quality. Completely overwhelmed and at the same time unmotivated service staff. According to the kitchen, egg dishes offered after 3 p.m. are “impossible” and more than 20 minutes pass between ordering and serving a piece of cake. Overall, no longer a recommendation since the central used to be an institution.

On weekends you should reserve a table. Very good selection of breakfast options. During the week there are wish lists for breakfast, at the weekend you choose from the menu. You can't go wrong with anything.

The food was very tasty even if there were things in the meal that weren't on the menu. Then I expect something different from the service as it is always the case that there is something in the food that is not on the menu. I can't imagine this being taught to staff like this. A pity

I think is one of the best coffee in town. Finally a nice atmosphere, MUSIC, good food and normal prices. Many caffees here in Bochum they dont play music so i loved that. The best think was i was there monday morning and i could hear the Chefs laughing from the kitchen. Being a chef myself i was very delightfull i heard that..

Went to the cafe for breakfast... table reservation was great! Staff very friendly and attentive. Breakfast selection was extensive and it tasted very good. Everything freshly prepared. We will be back ...

Update February 15, 2024: been there several times last year and again today👍👍👍. Update January 17, 2023: The breakfast for 2 people with Prosecco was not cheap, but good and plenty for two people. Yogurt with fruit perfectly suited my taste. Coffee very good and strong. Service very friendly 👍👍👍. Update on July 14, 2020 Unfortunately, we are disappointed today. Breakfast price/performance, not okay. You shouldn't allocate the seats outside on the day/time (Luisenstr.) of the garbage collection and the background noise from the trucks in the morning is very unpleasant. 2019: Trendy place to have something to eat or even just drink. The background noise is sometimes unpleasant

Very nice staff....nice atmosphere....unfortunately the room is far too warm, but everyone feels that differently.

In terms of the overall quality of stay, it is a nice and valuable alternative to the many cafés in the system catering industry.

I had pasta and wine here and loved it, only the cream of the pasta could be better😋

High prices, I decided on an iced coffee that was advertised on the table. According to the waiter, it can only be ordered in summer. I think all the ingredients would have been there. Service looks different to me. I then ordered a coke for €5.50.

We recommend the raspberry cream cheese cake. All types of coffee are also very tasty. The service staff are all very, very nice and polite.

Zum Glück gibt es in Bochum das Zentral und das Tucholsky. Beides sind geschmackvoll beleuchtete und eingerichtete RestaurantBars. Die Kellnerinnen sind freundlich und aufmerksam; die Musik akzeptabel. Das Publikum im Alter gemischt. Toiletten sind gepflegt.

Das Essen war gut , etwas wenig Soße , aber das wurde nachträglich verbessert :) also ein gelungenes Mittagessen . Und wirklich netter Service :) hier komme ich gerne wieder .

Macht etwas her. Ambiente ist warm und gehobener, doch dennoch ehrlich. Der Service war gut und das Essen toll. Nur Brot extra berechnen fand ich etwas befremdlich. In der Gesamtheit 5 Sterne.

Ein sehr nettes Lokal, die Kellnerin sehr aufmerksam und die anderen beschäftigen sehr engagiert. Das Frühstück ist da sehr gut und preislich Verhältnis stimmt. Da es klein ist, sitz man wirklich sehr nahe beinander und ist sehr laut. Vor allem jetzt im Winter wo es keine Möglichkeit gibt draußen zu sitzen. Dennoch sehr empfehlenswert

Super freundlicher Service, sehr leckeres Frühstück. Das einzige kleine Manko ist, dass es im Gastraum relativ laut ist, was aber natürlich die restliche Qualität nicht schmälert.

Wer die Minestrone nicht probiert hat, ist selber Schuld! Die ist verflucht gut, und die Portion völlig angemessen für eine durchschnittliche Mahlzeit. Ich habe aber auch schon andere leckere Sachen dort gegessen. Fiege Pils gibt es, für mich ein Mindestanspruch an jedes Bochumer Lokal. Die Weinkarte ist aber auch richtig gut. Alles in allem ein toller Laden: Gutes, geselliges Ambiente, ein bisschen Schick, ein bisschen Bistro-Kneipe, für die meisten Geschmäcker und Geldbeutel ist was dabei. Kehre dort eigentlich immer gerne ein, wenn ich das Glück habe, mal wieder nach Bochum zu kommen. Die Lage ist auch ganz praktisch.

Ungewöhnliche Atmosphäre an diesem Ort. Coole Lösung mit Spiegel 😉 Aufgrund der vielen Leute ist es immer etwas laut. Manchmal kann man seinen Gesprächspartner nicht hören und muss schreien. Haustiere sind erlaubt, man kann sich die süßen Hunde jederzeit anschauen. Das Essen ist köstlich und wunderschön.

Es gibt leider keine w-lan Verbindung und Espresso schmeckt nicht mehr wie früher …

Wir waren früher oft im Zentral und natürlich mussten wir dort hin, als ich Bochum besucht habe. Wow, das hat sich aber verändert! Das Essen war unteres Mittel, der Salat unwürdig und die Schokotarte eindeutig in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt. An der Bedienung haben wir schmerzlich gemerkt, wie schwer es ist niveauvolles Servicepersonal zu bekommen.Ein Trostpflaster gab es noch: Von den Preisen her habe ich mich wie in meiner Heimatstadt Düsseldorf gefühlt.

Immer wieder toll, hier Mal eine Pause einzulegen. 😊

Essen und Ambiente waren Gut bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten. Service war OK aber ein bisschen lustlos. Alles in allem zu empfehlen
