Zen Zen in Aachen

Very tasty large portions at a fair price.

It was our first time there and it wasn't the best. We got the food quickly but it was only warm.

Went to eat all you can eat sushi for 30mins. Good option for such price option, however very disappointed with vegetarian options, we mostly got cucumber sushi and barely got any other sushi options. Further, at one point we kept on getting a mix of veg and meat sushi in a single plate on the belt which made it difficult to have it(we had it for almost 10mins) after telling the waitress they changed it (after approx 5mins)

I've tried many buffets, but I've never experienced such disappointment! This “Japanese” restaurant is an insult to Asian cuisine. In reality, it's just a cheap copy of a Chinese conveyor belt buffet where the food on the belt is almost worthless. Meat? A rare luxury! Everything that comes on the line is rice and more rice, plus some noodles with soy sauce. And the sushi? Sushi where you have to look for the meat with a magnifying glass! On the tape you can see tiny, almost meatless pieces. Just enough to sell it as sushi, but not enough to actually taste it! For an “all you can eat” buffet, this is a bad joke! I asked the cashier why there was hardly any meat, but she acted like she didn't understand German. An absolute disgrace! You also get a time limit! You pay for 30, 45 or 60 minutes. I've eaten at real buffets in many European capitals for the same price, but I've never experienced such a rip-off! The mess on the table is a disaster! Nobody clears the plates, so you have to sit with a huge pile of dirty plates. Unhygienic and simply unpleasant! Even the drinks are not served properly! Instead of bringing a sealed bottle to the table, the drinks are poured from a large plastic bottle from which multiple guests are served! What reputable restaurant does something like that? The food on the conveyor belt is an absolute disaster! Sushi with a “trace of meat” or meat that you have to look for with a magnifying glass is ridiculous! It's unbelievable that this store even has guests. Probably just because there are no better alternatives in this city. This buffet is a disgrace to the concept of an all you can eat. Minus 5 stars! 👎

Food was relatively monotonous and hardly any rice was served.

We already knew Running Sushi from Australia. But Zen Zen is in no way inferior. Food very tasty. It is a bit smaller so I would recommend making a reservation in advance for lunch.

The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly! Absolutely recommended!

We ate from the running sushi buffet there. The food was fresh and hot dishes were really hot. Vegetarian food is also offered in the buffet there.

Very bad All employees are unfriendly

We went to the all-you-can-eat food belt. Nice concept, probably, amazing for kids. Food was okay. If one pays for 30 minutes, a great variety of food could be missed, as they add new dishes once in a while. The quality was okay, well, a lot of batter and rice but still okay.

We used to enjoy eating here, but today it was a complete disappointment. We were greeted by a listless, unmotivated service person who took our order without even looking at us. We had 2x running sushi for 45 minutes, but we lost our appetite after less than half an hour. The sushi was rolled very carelessly, some of the rolls were very dry and the salmon had a strange consistency and strange taste. The whole shop and the kitchen weren't particularly clean, especially the "shelf" where the sushi goes was dirty everywhere. It was loud and uncomfortable. Our table was definitely not washed before our visit and the sauces that were on the table were so greasy on the outside that they almost slipped out of your hand. We are very sad about the turn this place has taken and will not be eating here again.

Unbeatable for the price. We always like it very much. Quality is also very good for the price. Drinks relatively cheap. We'd love to come back.

Nice food! The only downside is that we went to eat there and that the waitress only talked german and not english or another language ... communicating was difficult but the food stays great!!

Everything is ok, but what happens to me afterwards... At some point I got a noodle box with crispy chicken, it was also delicious, but I wake up at night with stomach problems. It hurts like hell and borders on gastrointestinal symptoms. I even got a fever. Apparently I didn't tolerate something because the next day it was gone and everything was normal... Ok, all well and good. Yesterday I went to running sushi. Everything was fine, it was delicious, but our drinks came super late. Now I'm sitting in my bed, 5 o'clock and can't sleep because I just spent an hour concentrating on not emptying the contents of my stomach. I don't know if this is all just a coincidence or if it has something to do with ZenZen. But I rarely feel sick and rarely have stomach problems. Funny that this happened both times after eating there :(

Visited and tested a lot of restaurants and stuck here. Whether plated meals or treadmill sports, you will be well served in both disciplines and the price-performance ratio is unbeatable.

The food is quite good and the price is absolutely moderate. One star deducted because of the toilets. Little paper and often only one sink/faucet works

El peor restaurante chino que conozco. Pedí pato en salsa de curry rojo y pollo en salsa de mango y coco. Nos dieron el pato y el pollo con exactamente la misma salsa. Ambos eran picantes, donde no debería estar el mango coco. El cocinero vino a nuestra mesa diciendo que tenía 2 salsas diferentes en nuestra mesa. Visualmente y por gusto era una misma salsa. Aún así el cocinero continuó diciendo que eran 2 salsas diferentes. Salimos de nuestra mesa sin terminar nuestros platos. Nunca más volveremos a ellos, mienten en lugar de corregir un error. ¡No vayas allí a menos que quieras estar muy decepcionado!

Fast food, quality of the sushi not high but tasty. The assembly line is a nice concept.

We wanted to eat the running sushi as normal until I saw a mouse running around in the tunnel where the plates of sushi go. Absolutely disgusting. Then they immediately got up and left. We'll never eat there again.

Me and my boyfriend we went there on Saturday, and the all you can eat food options were quite a lot. From different style of sushi to rice, noodles, chicken, seafood and etc. We paid 13.9 Euro per person for 30mins all you can eat and we can't complain about it under the inflation surrounding nowadays:) We only can recommend it!

Unfortunately, Zen Zen has diminished greatly. So much so that it was my last visit. The selection of running sushi has shrunk dramatically in recent years. Why not raise the prices a little instead of reducing the quality and selection so much? There is something to be said about the “cleanliness” in the toilets: absolutely subpar and a reason to close the restaurant. Too bad. ☹️

Rice is very hard and dry. Beijing duck fried very hard. Shaken 1 large bottle of Fanta in the glass and there is no more sting, I thought I won't get a bottle of Fanta and the toilet is really dirty. The next day I have diarrhea

Absolutely recommended. Very good value for money. Fast, friendly service and delicious food. The ambience is very sober, not necessarily recommended for a cozy meal, but the rest makes you want to visit again. 👍👍👍

Running Sushi Restaurant. The food tastes good (of course it's not top-notch sushi, if that's what you're looking for, you've come to the wrong place in the Aquis Plaza), it comes to the guest without being asked (that's ongoing sushi), and you can eat as much as you want. Few people can continue eating for more than 30 minutes without interruption.

Was my 1st time here. Brought sushi. These were tasty. I am new to the concept of a conveyor belt between the tables, but I will definitely try this.

Ok, I would say that the employees were really nice

Sushi is actually like pizza, it always works somehow. But Zen Zen is already operating at the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to quality. Not to mention the service and ambience. You don't have to go.

A fast-food restaurant in the shopping center. We took 30 minutes of running sushi, always a highlight for the kids! Everything was delicious and the waitress was very on point!

Unfortunately, the selection of treats on the treadmill varies greatly. Once we had a very large selection, but the following times there were unfortunately none of the specific things we had actually come for.

We were at running Sushi today and when we entered the shop the atmosphere was rather dull. The shop was very dark. When we asked if there was still a place for two people, all we got was “wait”. We actually didn't have to wait long, but the service was very unfriendly. After 20 minutes we noticed a cockroach, so we shortened the time to 30 minutes and left immediately. Actually, it's a shame...

This restaurant is really very good, we were hesitant to come because of the comments but it was a very nice surprise. The choice of sushi is a little limited but for the price you have sushi, fried foods, noodles, soup, small dishes as much as you can! It's not great cuisine but it's far from bad. It's definitely worth it if you're a student and you come after 4 p.m. -> you get 10% off.

After a lot of hesitation caused by the few negative comments, we decided to go there anyway; and there, the big surprise: all things considered, the quality, like the variety and the service is very good for the asking price! We left their buffet lighter by only €19 but with a full stomach and a great souvenir. We will return there without a doubt, I highly recommend the place to people looking to eat well without looking for great gastronomy.

War nach langer Zeit wieder mal bei ZenZen im Aquis Plaza. Hatte mich gestern für das auf der Kreidetafel angepriesene Gericht: Gegrillter Lachs mit Gemüse und Reis entschieden. Das Essen war vollständig enttäuschend. Das Gemüse war kalt bis lauwarm, der Reis hart und auch bestenfalls lauwarm. Die 2 kleinen flachen Stückchen Lachs hatten nie einen Grill gesehen, sondern kamen aus der Fritteuse. Also: das war nichts und das Geld nicht wert. Hier könnte man wirklich sagen: früher war alles besser.

I was deeply disappointed with my visit to this sushi restaurant. The prices are absolutely outrageous for what you get. The food was simply disgusting - the fish tasted old and the rice rolls fell apart. The service was also unfriendly and slow. Definitely not a recommendation to come here. Save your money and find a better restaurant!

We spontaneously got a table at Sushi Budget. The staff was friendly and the food was good. The ambience was completely fine. The price is also very good. We would be happy to come back and recommend it to others.

By far the worst store in all of Aachen. What I experienced there on Friday surpassed everything. I was there again with my family after a long time. But that turned out to be a big mistake. The food on the conveyor belt was ice cold, burnt, and in my opinion no longer good, so that wasn't enough. I politely asked an employee behind the sushi bar if he or someone else knew if fresh food was coming in again or maybe something else eo approached with a condescending tone. There's still enough left in it. Whereupon I again kindly informed him of the defects and was then told. If I don't like it, I should go eat somewhere else. If I had known this beforehand, I would probably have been happy to do so. For me it was the last time I was there. With the best will in the world, I don't need anything like that!!!

Zenzen Aachen is a unique all-you-can-eat concept that I enjoyed. Sitting in the front row was great because we were able to get everything right, including the half liter of drinks like the 2 colas we had. The only downside was the hygiene, please fix this. especially under the tables and near the place where you grab the food. Despite that, the experience was super fun and the prices were good!

Hardly any choice at running sushi, the warm dishes are lukewarm at best and everything tastes like you forgot to use spices.

The atmosphere is extremely depressing. As soon as you enter the store, you notice the off-white lights, which are neither white nor yellow, but something in between. Add to that the slow, boring music that sounds as if you were playing classics twice as slowly... Not a good combination. Especially not when eating. Underground. Hardly any choice of sushi or hot dishes, and all the dishes are somehow poorly prepared in their own way. The edamame wasn't fully cooked, sushi was thrown away so that everything oozed out on all sides, Asian noodles had no taste. In general, it seems like spices don't exist in this restaurant. Everything was tasteless... breading, noodles, even the sushi. The sesame balls, for example, were over-fried so that they took on a brown color instead of a beautiful golden glow. You can fill up on sushi at a reasonable price. The problem, however, is that it is not uncommon for only relatively boring or not tasty sushi to pass by on the carousel for several minutes. A visit to this restaurant always has a certain chance factor.

Staff not friendly. All you can eat sushi was ok for the price. The variety of sushi in the all you can eat was not big, but there were other things beside sushi which I found nice. After eating we saw a bug inside the running tray. It wasn‘t big but it’s still disgusting. Never going back (or at least never eating the from the running sushi again)

Disappointing! The selection is very limited and the quality is very poor. Dry sushi consisting of 98% rice. Unfortunately, the atmosphere and hygiene are also poor.

All you eat concept done today. The food was really not tasty. The food that comes along is the same every 4 plates. The hot food is really disgusting, everything tastes like it has been drying out vegetables for a few hours. And to top it all off, hair in the chicken wing. so this was definitely the last time.

Cleanliness is not their strong point. All you can eat. In terms of eating, all fast food products come from fries. Sushi very simple ok. Warm products well, octopus on sushi was very tough. We were waiting for a product but it didn't come. It was only there at the beginning, but the guests at the beginning of the band were able to take everything out beforehand and nothing was added so quickly. You can do it once, but you don't have to do it again.

As students, we enjoyed coming to Running Sushi. Today we were there again after a long time and ordered a la carte. We were not welcomed, rather we were made to feel unwelcome and a nuisance. My husband got chicken instead of tofu and my food was cold so even the sauce wasn't runny. We kindly brought our plates to the front, then my husband received his tofu dish, but quickly discovered that there were still pieces of chicken under the surface. My food was warmed up and then was ok. Wouldn't come back.

In other words, the food was rummaged around and not even all of the chicken was removed. Conclusion: I will never go to this store again

If you spontaneously want to eat cheap sushi, this is the right place for you. The food and sushi etc are freshly prepared. Of course you can't expect 5 star sushi for the price. But it's definitely always delicious here and the small plates on offer are always different. Thumbs up !!! 😀

The runing sushi is a must if you are in Aachen. Afordable and super "Lecker".

It's cheap, but that's what the food is. It's perfectly fine if you just want to eat all you can at a low price. If you have requirements on the taste of food, I suggest you consider other places.

I am very disappointed. With each visit I became more dissatisfied. You get worse every time. Today I only ate 5 bowls of all-you-can-eat running sushi despite being hungry. There is only insufficient refilling and there is almost no choice left (no more chicken/meat at all). You may also want to replace old, dried-out foods from time to time. I rarely say this, but today the selection was a disgrace and the food was really disgusting.

Had delicious sushi here and not expensive.

Have never tried the sushi, I have just eaten the takeaway menus and they are really good. Specially the duck.

Ich war mittags zum Essen da. Zunächst musste ich eine Weile auf einen freien Platz warten. Ich wollte mir ein wenig Zeit lassen und habe eine dreiviertel Stunde gekauft. Für mich war es enttäuschend. Die Auswahl war in den 45 Minuten sehr eingeschränkt. An Sushi kam nur Maki übers Band. Und wenn mal ein Nigiri auftauchte (einzelne nach gut 25 Minuten) kam bei mir nichts an, da ich leider nicht am Anfang saß. In den 45 Minuten kam am Anfang und am Ende mal frische Orange vorbei. Das warme Essen war lauwarm oder kalt, das konnte ich nicht essen. Die gebacke Banane die vorbei kam war frisch und lecker. Mein Fazit: Ich bin satt geworden. Lecker war es nicht. Die Auswahl war nicht gut. Das Personal war in Ordnung. - Ich komme nicht mehr wieder.

I always enjoy coming here to eat, but today's service was the very last thing. Chewing gum with your mouth open, taking 10 minutes to bring the drinks at low capacity and being absolutely rude to customers. We were teased by her that she couldn't (won't?) walk more often to bring cutlery or sauces. It's not my fault if the sauces don't refill themselves at the table. I won't come back in the future if this service continues to work there. A pity.

Been there again yesterday for a long time. Originally booked for 1 hour. After 10 minutes we reduced it to half an hour. The selection has diminished so much, some of it was dry or you could tell that the food had been making its rounds for a while. Our conclusion: That was the last time!

The food is delicious, but I was once served sushi with rotten avocado at the table even though you could clearly see that the avocado was black!! I was then made sushi again but received less than I ordered. The waiters are also very unfriendly and if the order was wrong you have to take it to the front yourself!!! Also, the tables are often not clean and they constantly change their prices. I wouldn't recommend it to you, just cheeky how you treat your customers.

ZenZen ist leider nicht mehr so wie es mal war.. Absolut lieblose Teller und kaum Auswahl.. ständig läuft das selbe übers Band. Ist leider nicht mehr zu empfehlen.

Fertige Gerichte sind unglaublich lecker bei ihnen. Meine Partnerin aß Running-Sushi: das Sushi war unangenehm zu essen, das Nigiri sah aus, als hätte man lieblos ein Stück Lachs auf einen Haufen Reis geklatscht. Die Auswahl an Dessert war minimal.

Es geht besser, sauberer und vielfältiger. Besser im Ablauf, sauberer im Lokal und Toiletten, vielfältiger beim Essen ( insbesondere für Vegetarier ) am "Sushi-Band".

Gewoon lekker, even betaalbaar eten, tijdens een dagje shoppen in aken.

Geweldig, schatten zijn echt heel bijzonder handwerk, borduursel met steekjes van 1 millimeter, wassen beelden en gouden voorwerpen (kelken, monstransen). Ook zijn medewerkers heel behulpzaam. Warme ontvangst! Een klooster waardig.

I saw cockroaches crawling next to the sushi dishes and IN my sushi. TWICE. First time there was a big one. Second time there were two small guys. Unhygienisch. Do not recommend.

Service. Ging mn konnte die Mitarbeiter kaum verstehen. Erklärungen wie das Prozedere da von statten geht. Fehl am Platz. Das Essen an sich also sushi nich zu empfehlen. Ich war sehr enttäuscht 😞. Man schmeckte das sehr vieles aus der Gefriertruhe kam . Einiges war sogar noch gefroren.

Pas bon du tout. Tout est hyper gras et cuit trop longtemps dans la friture. Casi que plus que des assiettes a base de friture d ailleurs. Les assiettes chaudes sur le tapis tournant etaient froides, la soupe egalement. Ecoeurant. Il y a 5 ans que nous y allons a peu pres 1 x tous les 3 ou 4 mois, la qualité est devenue mediocre alors qu avant elle etait bonne et le prix a augmenté. A eviter.

Sense bei Zen Zen! Als Teil von einer Gruppe von 12 Leuten, hatten wir eine unfassbar schlechte Erfahrung. Zen Zen wusste nix von der Reservierung. Bedienung total unfreundlich. Mussten 30 Minuten warten bis uns Tische dann doch zugewiesen worden ist. Die Toilette sah aus wie die widerliche Mie Suppe auf dem Laufband. Man wird die ganze Zeit böse angeschaut von der Bedienung.

Die Erfahrung im Restaurant begann mit einer dreisten Ignorierung der Kunden von Bedienungsseite aus. Nachdem wir unsere um 20Uhr gebuchte Reservierung nicht einlösen konnten, da die Bedienung uns 15min lang ignorierte, mussten wir dann mit Entsetzen akzeptieren, dass die Bedienung UNS vorwarf, dass wir zu spät seien und die Tische deswegen nicht mehr reserviert werden konnten. Dazu sei gesagt, dass alle der vermeintlich reservierten Tische stets besetzt waren und daher bewiesen dass unsere Reservierung schlicht vergessen wurde. Nach langer Diskussion wurde uns dann unter Griesgram ein Tisch gewährt. Vom Essen muss man gar nicht erst anfangen. Das einzig erträgliche sind die in Fett ausgebackenen Sachen, da diese nur nach Frittierfett schmecken und den widerlichen Eigengeschmack des vermeintlichen Hähnchens überdeckt. Eine umfassend enttäuschende und widerliche Erfahrung sowohl vom Essen als auch bei den unsäglichen Kellnern, die der eigenen Sprache nicht mächtig sind! Schade!!!

Liebloses Restaurant im Einkaufszentrum, ein Tisch war an einem Freitagmittag sofort zu bekommen. Wir sind für das Running Sushi gekommen, 30 Minuten waren völlig ausreichend. Die Vielfalt - gerade an Sushi - war extrem gering und das Sushi sah weder einladend noch liebevoll zubereitet aus. Es war essbar - das ist aber auch alles. Die warmen Gerichte wurde immer wieder aufgefüllt und waren in Ordnung. Für 14 Euro wurde man satt, aber eine tolle Erfahrung ist das hier nicht.
