Zapata in Saarbrücken

Well, all in all we only liked it mediocre. Long waiting time for food, seating quite tight for large groups of over 12 people. Food was tasty but not cheap. 1 glass of wine from 12-15 euros. Each slice of bread is charged individually, although it is always included elsewhere. Poor lighting, menu not clear, dessert selection weak. Others can do it better...

Food was ok. The last time we were more excited. The Felsich was very good, but it's less special for vegetarians. Unfortunately service wasn't that good. A drink was forgotten twice, the wrong dessert was served and in general hardly anyone came to the table to reorder.

Unfortunately, the food was rather mediocre (the croquettes were very greasy, patatas were more classic potato wedges, the alioli had little to do with garlic) and the price-performance ratio was not good. Everything was quite expensive, but the portions were very small (basically not bad with tapas, but eating for €45 and still not getting full is stupid). Service and ambience are great. Absolutely not barrier-free

The food tastes ok, the service is friendly but very careless. Empty drinks were ignored and instead the service staff mostly chatted. The owner could earn significantly more if the service was more motivated/interested. Next time we'll dine somewhere else.

We had a table of 15 people and some special requests in advance. The Zapata has them all! The evening was wonderful because of this and because of the fantastic food! I have always been a Zu apata fan and will remain so 😁

The portions were very manageable, but unfortunately the price/performance ratio wasn't right for us. The service staff was very friendly. We can only rate the inside restaurant, the ambience is very appealing!

Nice atmosphere and very friendly service. The food is good, BUT the dips had probably been in the bowl for a long time so that a skin had formed on them. Unfortunately, there is also a lot of fried food. It's not typically Spanish but rather Mediterranean! The meatballs with the very tasty sauce were the best. In the summer it's nicest when you can sit outside.

The quality of the food is not good. Nothing is homemade, everything is frozen. Far too expensive for what is offered. Service and ambience are perfect. But I won't go there again. My first thought was: I've never eaten so bad (for the money) before... it's a shame

Ferry and his team gave us a great evening. Great attentive service, super nice staff, incredibly nice manager, very good food, nice ambience. We come regularly and can highly recommend Zapata! Unfortunately, this time I didn't take any photos of the fantastically prepared food.

What a fantastic tapas restaurant! Everything just fits here. The tapas were absolutely delicious, the atmosphere in the courtyard was very cozy and the service - especially Ferry - was very courteous and confident! We were there for the second time after 2021 and are thrilled that the standard has not only maintained, but even increased. Price-performance is completely okay.

Super delicious tapas restaurant in Saarbrücken, near the pedestrian zone. The food is really a dream and the ambience is also harmonious. The whole thing is only topped by the good-humoured Ferry. Matching sayings with the right food - the team from Munich will be happy to come back!

The outdoor courtyard makes you feel like you're on vacation. The tapas are overpriced in my opinion and the aioli was without garlic and not that good. It's also a shame that there is no offer for a tapas variation.

Beautiful outside area, but also successful inside. Conveys holiday flair. Unfortunately, the seating inside is very tight. This affects the good feeling somewhat. The two of us were squeezed into a mini table in a corner, which I thought was a shame. But the food was good, perhaps a bit overpriced in some cases. Very nice service staff.

Sehr schöner Innenhof und mediterranes Ambiente. Vielleicht haben wir einen schlechten Abend erwischt. Aber nach 30 Minuten kam immer noch keiner um die Bestellung aufzunehmen, obwohl die sehr freundliche Dame uns schon signalisierte, dass sie gleich komme. Dann wurde ein Gericht vergessen und erst nach Nachfrage gebracht. Die Gerichte wurden in unsinniger Weise serviert. Zuerst kamen Sie Spareribs und die Süßkartoffel-Pommes und einige Zeit später erst Vorspeisen, Brot und Salat. Auch gewöhnungsbedürftig, dass man ein paar Scheiben Brot kostenpflichig extra dazu bestellen muss. Die Qualität des Essens ist unterschiedlich, wobei die Antipasti-Variation sehr säuerlich und geschmacklich Einheitsbrei war. Die Frittatas schmeckten wässrig und nicht mehr frisch. Babaganusch und Spareribs waren geschmacklich sehr gut und authentisch. Guacamole lecker, aber nur Mini-Töpfchen. Um tatsächlich satt zu werden, brauchte es pro Person 3 Gerichte, da die Portionen klein gehalten sind. Für uns 4 Personen mit je 2 Getränken und Wasser kam dann eine Rechnung von 130 Euro zusammen. Insgesamt eher enttäuschende Erfahrung. Beim Service und der Qualiät der Speisen ist noch deutlich Luft nach oben. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist optimierungswürdig.

We had reserved for 2. Since we were the first guests, we were still able to vote and didn't have to sit at the entrance. The cards were on the table. Unfortunately, the menu showed that it had already been used several times. Despite the clipboard, dirty pieces of paper were not replaced. Drinks came promptly and people took their time ordering food. Prices too expensive for the quality. Bottle of mineral water €8.50, shrimp aglio olio, 5 pieces with more shallot than garlic €8.90, vitello €9.50, I had to look for tuna sauce, but lots of capers. Inside there is a Berkel slicer of the finest quality, but the Serrano comes out of the pack for €6.90. The sweet potato fries were good, but €5.90, with a small guacamole dip. Something doesn't add up. We also have to earn our money hard, but the price-performance ratio is not right here. We're not coming anymore

Super cozy restaurant with very nice service and very tasty tapas! The only point of criticism: the price for a Sprizz is quite expensive at €12. But overall, happy again!

Very friendly service and a wonderful ambience with a Mediterranean flair. When you enter the backyard you immediately feel like you're on vacation. The selection of tapas is excellent. Everything is very fresh and flavorful. When I'm back in Saarbrücken, I'll definitely come by again.

Incredibly beautiful little tapas bar and great outdoor area. No matter whether inside or outside, everything has a Mediterranean flair, which brings a bit of vacation into everyday life to switch off. Of course, the various tapas are all very tasty and highly recommended.

Leider stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht ,die Portionen sind viel zu klein,die Burrata für zwei, ist lediglich eine Portion für eine Person und die Datteln im Speckmantel sind mit vier Stück für 5 € einfach zu teuer. Der Service ist freundlich und bemüht, aber ausbaufähig.

Great ambience both inside and outside in the yard. The selection of food is good and the individual tapas taste good, although the price/performance is on the border of acceptable. The staff is friendly and hard-working but very overwhelmed with their tasks. Drinks and food come late or not at all, sometimes they stand around chatting with each other instead of serving. This is not service or customer-oriented. There is only one card reader so you sometimes have to wait a long time.

Great service, nice beer garden. However, I don't think the food was okay for the price, the food was warmed up, lukewarm and the taste was below average. The portion size is also really small, even for tapas.

The food was excellent and the service was worth every cent of the tip. Unfortunately it is very loud when the store is full. But a full store is also a good sign.

The food was good (it used to be bomb), you have to order the bread basket separately, well it could be included in the prices. An entrance sign would also be appropriate. Service disappointing, when the used dishes are cleared away (stored on a table inside) and you still want to order tapas, not everyone can take the order, but the fact that no colleague is sent is more than disappointing, well then the staff does ( with the black and white checkered shirts) first a cigarette break between the guests who were still eating. We were there with several people and the courtyard was at most 70% occupied.

Unfortunately, even the perfect ambience and the beautiful courtyard can no longer compensate for the negative points. The last two visits I was very disappointed by the poor service and the sobering quality of the food. Since I really enjoy the special atmosphere, I spontaneously wanted to try it again today. That was my last visit. The service is extremely overwhelmed - you have the feeling that everyone is experiencing their first day in the restaurant industry. Even if everyone is very nice, for me that doesn't replace the desire for attention and competence. The tapas miss every goal of price-performance and quality. For 4 olives, 4 daddeln wrapped in bacon, burrata (which we had to season ourselves) & pulpo as well as 2 gin and tonics you pay €70.00. I love good food and am happy to spend money on it - but not on bad food and poor service. Therefore, I cannot and will no longer recommend the Zapata.

I'm sorry to say that I was very disappointed. We had tapas there years ago and I really liked it, but apparently a lot has changed. The “Spanish” meatballs looked and tasted exactly like Metro frozen meatballs. And unfortunately this continued with other dishes. Even the aioli that came with all sorts of dishes tasted really bad, there was nothing homemade or freshly prepared about it. The ambience of the location is very nice but the waiter preferred to smoke a cigarette or talk on the phone in the courtyard instead of serving us, who were almost the only guests in the room. We arrived and felt out of place. We paid quickly and got out and definitely won't be coming back. It's a shame, it used to be a nice, cozy shop, but it looks like it has new owners

Very disappointing - unfortunately the price-performance ratio is no longer right here. Smaller than average tapas, most of which are ready-made products, are served at disproportionately high prices. Unfortunately, the whole thing has absolutely nothing to do with authentic Spanish cuisine. The only plus points are the nice service and the nice ambience when there isn't too much going on.

I was there with a friend and it was very nice. The service was very friendly, the food was delicious and there was a great atmosphere. In the end it was quite expensive... Maybe we could introduce a flat rate for several tapas, just as an idea. Then you could come more often. Overall, highly recommended and therefore deserves 5 stars.

We were there for the first time yesterday. It was quite difficult to find (we are not from Saarbrücken) but then we were all the more surprised at what a gem we discovered here. Really good. You feel like you're on vacation. We had a table for two by the window and had it to ourselves. The tapas were all super tasty and, above all, fresh. The mojitos were great! We will be back definitely!

We were there yesterday and I was very disappointed. The menu and my drink glass were very dirty. Our table was cleared before we could get there but not cleaned. Price performance is not right here at all. The portions were very small and too expensive for the quantity. The wine was overly expensive. There was no bread to eat. Our order also came wrong when we asked about it and they said we had ordered it. There wasn't much that evening (no draft beer, no cola without sugar). The service seemed unfriendly. Any extra request e.g. b another dip, not additional but in exchange, cost extra. The taste was good but you shouldn't go there too hungry. With three people we had 10 different dishes and a dessert and weren't really full afterwards. 5 drinks and we paid over 125 euros. The cheese is the size of a small scoop of ice cream. I didn't think it tasted like Spain either. a lot of stuff was finished. Almost all of the plates were broken (on the edge). For us that was the first and last time.

Nice ambience, delicious food. Unfortunately the service was overwhelmed! After 20 minutes and multiple requests, the two large water bottles we ordered finally arrived. But on the bill at the end there were 6 large bottles of water that no one had ordered

This was my second time there, unfortunately we had two hairs in our food. The first time we didn't want to say anything because of embarrassment and stuff! But the second time I decided to say it. We were not offered anything. (That's not true. The question was asked which food the hair was in. There were three of us and we ate everything together. And my son had the two hairs. And we couldn't assign it to any food. Because we all ate together. Which is normal with tapas., Or should be) There was no reduction in the bill!!. I was very disappointed. And unfortunately I won't be visiting the restaurant again. Although I was thrilled and actually wanted to reserve twice more for the future. Sorry, but that doesn't exist. The bill was €136…

Finished eating has nothing to do with Tappas, a lot of money for little food. The prices are underground for what you get. The space you have to eat there is far too small and not comfortable and there is no privacy either. We spent €90 for two people and went home hungry. We won't come back, I can have something better, nicer, tastier, cheaper and much more comfortable at home.

Special restaurant in Saarbrücken! Really delicious tapas and desserts. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately the restaurant is quite small, so the tables are quite close together. Priced in the upper sector.

The restaurant was very busy that evening and that was justified, at least in terms of the ambience. Overall, I found the service to be professional, but still somewhat anonymous. The food was good - but the selection didn't stand out from the standard tapas. However, the prices do - and significantly so. A premium of more than 200% was recorded in wines in particular.

Quality cannot be found here. Almost all products are from wholesalers. No homemade aioli, the calamari from the subway, the olives are mushy, the chocolate cake is from the freezer... €9.80 for a dessert with a hint of cream, the plastic was still stuck to the ham, what a ham From what the package says, the dip was a small dollop for a mere €2.50...I'm happy to spend a lot of money for good quality, but here you can find freezer and ready-made packaging on the plate at outrageous prices. The service was really extremely friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately for me it's still the last visit...

The dishes on offer were consistently very well prepared and tasty. In terms of price, it was also completely okay. The orders were brought to the tables quickly. The service was initially very attentive, friendly, quick and yet not hectic. It's not worth mentioning that one or two drinks were lost due to the quantity. We found the gin and tonic to be too expensive at well over 10 euros. In the end we had to ask four times to finally be able to pay. We were there as a group with a total of 11 people. We had reserved a week in advance. The ambience of the restaurant is quite nice, but at the same time a bit cramped. The fact that we and our rather large group were seated at a long table, where the bench on the long side was also interrupted by a support, somewhat spoiled the good impression, especially as the restaurant became more and more numerous as the hour went on became increasingly loud, making conversations at the long table difficult.

Very nice atmosphere, you feel like you are in Spain. The employees are very accommodating and friendly. And in an open and authentic way. You get the impression that they enjoy it. The many different tapas taste excellent and are a treat for the palate. Sometimes the journey from the kitchen to the table takes a bit of time, but you're happy to accept that. A moving atmosphere with many acoustic and visual impressions. Not for anyone who wants to eat in a quiet environment. The Zapata thrives on the lively, dynamic atmosphere. You have to like that. We'll definitely be back. Thanks to all the employees for the wonderful evening they made possible for us.

We had dinner at Zapata with a small group of 5 people. The recommendation came from me because I have eaten there several times. The service was great, the food came to the table in a reasonable time. The food was absolutely delicious, there was nothing to complain about. Highly recommended

Super süße Tapasbar, mit einem sehr schönen Aussenbereich. Der Service war sehr gut und das Essen war super lecker, die Portionen sind allerdings teilweise ziemlich klein (auch für Tapas). Dennoch zu empfehlen! :)

Is vor allem im Sommer gemütlich wenn man draußen sitzen kann.

Leider zu viele TK- und Fertigprodukte, Tische zu eng gestellt und zu laute und unruhige Atmosphäre, Service unaufmerksam, komme nicht so schnell wieder!

Super sympathisch, zuvorkommend und - das was ich probiert habe - tolles Essen. War allein dort, und bekam "trotzdem" sehr guten Tisch. Insgesamt gelungen, gerne wieder!

Ein tolles Restaurant in zentraler Lage. Super Essen, toller Service, schönes Ambiente. Herr Ferry und das Team sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir kommen sehr gerne her. Im Sommer durch den tollen Innenhof natürlich noch toller. Man sitzt draußen wunderschön.

Super gemütliches kleines stimmungsvolles Restaurant. Man fühlt sich dort sehr wohl. Fast, wie in Spanien.

Tolle Location mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, aber leider sind manche Tapas sehr klein im Verhältnis zu den Kosten. Sehr gut fanden wir die ganze Artischocke und den Mango-Avocado-Salat. Von den Weinen und Cocktails haben wir die Finger gelassen, weil die Preise einfach zu hoch sind. Daher blieb es beim Bier. Einen Nachtisch hätten wir auch gerne noch genossen, aber unsere beiden ausgewählten Nachtische waren leider nicht verfügbar. Begründet wurde dies damit, dass es bald eine neue Speisekarte gibt. Über den Service konnten wir uns nicht beklagen. Insgesamt muss man wissen, dass man hier auch mit lediglich ein paar Tapas und ein paar Getränken ziemlich viel Geld ausgibt, aber ein gemütliches und romantisches Ambiente sowie eine gute Qualität dafür erhält.

Sehr schönes, gemütliches Restaurant. Das Essen war perfekt und die Bedienung sehr freundlich, und schnell.

Mit authentischen Tapas hat das Essen leider nichts zu tun. Die Portionen sind dafür relativ groß, Preise gerade noch akzeptabel. Apfelschorle mit reichlich Eiswürfeln im Glas hat effektiv vermutlich nur 200ml und kostet 5€, viel zu teuer. Die Bierleitung augenscheinlich infiziert, das Bier hat einen sehr ranzigen Beigeschmack -> als Biersommelier kann ich das gut beurteilen. Hier wird wohl an der Reinigung gespart. Tapas geht man besser woanders essen.

Beide Servicekräfte an diesem Abend völlig planlos. Cremant wurde für Wein gehalten, auf einen Brotkorb trotz mehrmaligen Nachfragens wurde 15 min gewartet, eine Bedienung in Jogginghose und entsprechend lustlos. Kein Lächeln, kein Elan, die Karte kannten beide nicht. Und um 11 schloss dann auch schon die Küche. An einem Freitag Abend! Sehr schade, denn ich hatte hier schon sehr viele schöne und lange Abende.

Das Essen hat sich aus meiner Sicht qualitativ verschlechtert.

Kleinen Desert für großen Preis. Brot müssen Sie extra bezahlen, in Saarbrücken!!! Nirgendwo sonst! Außer den Wein habe ich ein Glas Leitungswasser bestellt , ein kleinen winziges Glas, mit der Aussage: wir haben kleinen und große Mineralwasser!!! Unglaublich!!! Weiter so! Haben wir die nächste selbstverschuldete Pleite!!

Super schöner mediterraner Flair, Essen war einfach sehr lecker und qualitativ sehr gut . Besonders lobenswert war der Service. Keine lange Wartezeiten und ein super freundliches zuvorkommendes Personal.

Ein ziemlich perfekter Abend. Das Wetter war prima, das Essen fein und der Wein hat geschmeckt. Aber warum gibt es Parmigiano Reggiano in einem spanischen Restaurant? Und dem neuen Kellner, der offensichtlich gerade seinen ersten Abend hatte, müsst Ihr noch sagen, dass man eine frische Flasche Rosé nicht einfach auf den Tisch stellt, sondern gern die letzte Flasche im Weinkühler austauscht. 😉

Super schöne Atmosphäre, nettes Personal. Allerdings sind die Preise für die Getränke sehr teuer. Das Tapas nicht günstig ist, ist verständlich. Aber für einen Mojito knappe 12€ ist schon sehr stramm. Wenn ich soviel ausgebe muss es aber ein sehr guter Mojito sein und das war leider nicht der Fall.,

Essen war wir immer sehr gut. Der Service war jedoch katastrophal! Trotz Reservierung mussten wir ewig auf unseren Tisch warten. Als wir dann schließlich saßen haben wir weitere 20 Minuten gewartet bis wir die Karte bekommen haben. Die Kellnerin hat unsere Nachfrage, ob wir denn jetzt bestellen könnten, einfach ignoriert. Sie hat die Kerze angemacht und ist wieder verschwunden. Sie war generell extrem unfreundlich, sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Die Kellner waren jedoch freundlich und haben die soziale Inkompetenz ihrer Kollegin versucht zu kompensieren.

Der Biergarten hat Atmosphäre, ist supergemütlich, ruhig und trotzdem stadtnah. Das Essen ist absolut nichts besonderes, die Portionen klein; dafür sind die aufgerufenen Preise deutlich zu hoch (gilt auch für die Getränke). Der Service war anfangs ok, später schleppend. Einiges musste nachbestellt werden weil es von der Bedienung vergessen wurde. Schade, ich hatte das Zapata in besserer Erinnerung!

Keine Ahnung was hier passiert ist.Früher eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants ,da gab es dann auch mal ein Tapasmenü durch das man sich herrlich einen Abend lang durchfuttern konnte.Das gibt es leider nicht mehr ,stattdessen empfahl uns der Kellner mit den kalten Tapas zu beginnen und uns dann nach und nach durch die Karte zu arbeiten.Kein Problem dachten wir und bestellten die Vorspeisen.Dann begann das warten … .Nach einer halben Stunde kamen wenigestens die Getränke.Nach einer weiteren halben Stunde machte ich mit Mühe einen Kellner auf uns aufmerksam und fragte nach ,er meinte: „kommt gleich „.Nochmal 15 min später machte ich noch einmal auf uns aufmerksam . Der Kellner entschuldigte sich sehr nett und versprach das die Vorspeisen aufs Haus gingen.Diesmal ging er dann mal in die Küche und nach einer weiteren viertel Stunde kam die Vorspeise –allerdings unvollständig.Naja dachte ich der Kellner geht halt zweimal aber nein es kam nichts mehr ,ich wies den Service auf die fehlenden Dips zu den trockenen Brotstangen hin .Dieser sah mich verständnisslos an und brachte dann auf das Stichwort „Aijoli „ ein Mini Schälchen mit dieser.Mittlerweile war uns wirklich die Lust vergangen und wir brachen ab.Der Kellner der unsere Bestellung aufnahm war nett und bemüht der restliche Service eine reine Katastrophe ich hatte den Eindruck das diese weder Ahnung noch Lust hatten.Wir fanden Gott sei Dank noch ein super Restaurant etwas weiter die Straße hoch sonst wäre der Abend ein Reinfall geworden.
