Very pleasant, very delicious!!

Delicious food, excellent and very friendly service, and a lovely story about the owners make Zafar truly special. The ambiance is also very nice, however, it's located right on the main road, hence the one-star deduction for the ambiance.

You walk in and immediately feel like you're visiting friends. It's incredibly cozy, not too big, and soft Arabic music plays in the background. The service, provided by the owner's son, was warm and friendly. He offered recommendations and did a fantastic job all evening. We wanted for nothing. He also told us that his mother prepares these wonderful dishes. And you could taste it: tradition, full of flavor, and made with love. We haven't eaten this well in a very long time. Thank you for a wonderful evening! ✨ We'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious and authentic. It's one of the best restaurants in Findorff. The portions were just right – not too small, not too large. An added bonus is that the plates arrived beautifully presented and decorated. The service was very friendly and pleasant, even engaging in a nice chat. I would highly recommend Künefe; it was truly unique.

Zafar Restaurant is a feast for all the senses! We had a few mezze dishes and a main course each. Everything was absolutely delicious! The owner is also very welcoming and friendly. A true delight for the heart and palate.

We were a group of seven and ate at Zafar today, Monday, February 2nd, 2026, and wanted to thank them again for the wonderful food and excellent service. Zafar is a family-run restaurant located in Bremen/Findorff. We started with the large appetizer platter (12 hot and cold appetizers) for €49.90. Every single appetizer was incredibly delicious and highly recommended if you're a group looking to try something new. We highly recommend Zafar and will definitely be back.

Sorry, but it really didn't taste good. The wait for the food was also long – especially considering the place was empty – and the service wasn't great either. I'd rather go back to Kismet or Ali Baba.

A fantastic little restaurant. Delicious food, very warm and friendly service. The son patiently explains each dish, while the mother cooks sensationally fresh food with lots of spices and wonderful types of rice. Very authentic. The selection of appetizers is highly recommended.

The three of us were here for the first time (October 25, 2025) at Zafar Restaurant. We received a very friendly and warm welcome. The restaurant is rather small but nicely decorated. I personally always find it odd when a candle is left on the table but not lit. Furthermore, there were small, real plants everywhere on the tables. Since the restaurant was closed for a week, they must have forgotten to dispose of the plants, as they were very wilted. A short time later, after our arrival, the restaurant filled to capacity, which a) is a good sign, and b) the young gentleman who welcomed us handled all the guests in a stylish, relaxed manner. Now for the food, the most important thing in the restaurant. We had five different appetizers. They were served with fresh, warm, thin flatbread. They were plentiful and well-seasoned in a variety of flavors, and most importantly, they tasted absolutely delicious. The main courses were also more than sufficient, and we both agreed that everything tasted incredibly delicious. We were, and still are, extremely impressed. It was a shame that the cashless reader didn't work so well and I had to get cash with my full stomach. We'll be back 🙋‍♂️

A very warm welcome, an interesting menu, and plentiful, very good home-style cooking. The upside-down eggplant and lamb goulash are highly recommended. Prices are very reasonable. The food and service here are cooked with passion and dedication! We'd love to come back. Finding a parking space is no problem!

Great fresh food. Not convenience food. Delicious meze, outstanding meat skewers, and eggplant dishes, the eggplant dish available with meat or vegan. Fantastic desserts. We were there with four adults and two children; everyone was completely satisfied and would go back anytime. The service is also excellent, attentive, friendly, and quick. Including starters, main course, desserts, and drinks, the price is a reasonable €40-45.

We are very enthusiastic about Zafar Restaurant. They serve Arabic specialties. The welcome and service were exemplary. The grilled meat was tastefully prepared and served with a very varied salad. Rice and bread are standard with the main course. There's something for every taste. The restaurant is very hospitable, and we can definitely recommend it!

The food was truly delicious, and I would gladly return. However, the prices are rather high, and it would be helpful if the staff would point out in advance that extras cost extra, especially since they weren't listed on the menu and weren't really worth the extra charge. A quick note for future guests.

We had a very good Kurdish-Syrian meal – the Fatoush salad with Zumac and pomegranate syrup was particularly delicious! Ocalan was a very welcoming host. Our little insider tip in Bremen!

The starter was delightful, followed by the main course, with its sweet and sour flavor, which was the cherry on top and a very pleasant surprise. The service was also very friendly and conjured up magical mojitos for us. Finally, we had a cup of çay to round off the wonderful evening.

This restaurant was a real stroke of luck for me. There were so many vegetarian starters, all of which were exceptionally good. I was particularly impressed by the stuffed vine leaves; they were simply amazing. Among the main courses, there are (as far as I could see) two vegetarian options. I ended up having a fish dish with wonderfully seasoned rice. The portions are very large (and very reasonably priced), but they happily packed up any leftovers. The staff were super nice, very friendly, and made you feel completely at home. At the end, they offered a delicious chai tea, which really rounded off the meal and, in my opinion, was a very refreshing change from the usual alcoholic nightcaps. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who's in the area. It's worth it!

We ate here on our first evening visiting Bremen, and it'll be hard to top that. Luckily, we managed to get a table today. A fantastic selection of delicious starters that can be flexibly combined to your liking. Absolutely perfect for us. The choices we made were also excellent. The main courses are also delicious and a large, wholesome meal in themselves. Given the quality offered, it definitely has to be emphasized that it's good value for money. We definitely ordered too much for two people and luckily got the rest packed up. Afterwards, we had a delicious tea. The ambiance was great. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has authentic music. The service was wonderful. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and we felt very valued as guests. If it weren't so far (as we live in Karlsruhe), we would eat here many more times. Highly recommended, a fantastic experience.

I was really looking forward to something different. I called twice and left a message about a reservation and asked for a call back... nothing happened. I also used the contact form that same day. I called the evening of the next day (the day of the reservation) to find out what was going on. "No, I don't have anything there, but I haven't looked yet..." What can I say to that: sorry, I was and still am really annoyed when someone is so unprofessional (and then admits it on the phone).

The best Falafel I ate in my life! Food was fresh, delicious and worth every penny. We ordered baba Ganush, falafel, lamb, dessert seen in the picture. We left full and satisfied. Really recommend the tea as well. The service was also great. Thanks for the recommendation to the waiter!!

Totally nice people, mother cooks and son runs the shop. Alone! The food tastes great, is excellently seasoned and is not just plain grilled food. The food is fresh and takes time. Despite the stress, everything is very friendly.

First of all, I would like to clarify that the restaurant is not bad in general, but I have important comments to keep in mind. 1- The quantity of food served is not appropriate, for example for five people consisting of a falafel plate and only two pieces of falafel. This is unacceptable, or a kibbeh plate with only two pieces for five people is absolutely unacceptable. A plate of fried potatoes is better made from unfrozen potatoes. The mixed grill plate... its appearance is generally not nice... the taste of the kebab needs to be checked as it is either made of old meat or the mixture is not good at all... Finally, the tabbouleh lacked acid and oil...

Im September stand ein Städtetrip nach Bremen an! Natürlich wurde wieder geguckt, was es an besonderen und vor allem kulinarisch außergewöhnlichen Restaurants in der Hansestadt gibt. Gestoßen bin ich auf das Zafar durch Zufall bei Google. Hier, bei TripAdvisor, gab es noch keine großartigen Bewertungen, bzw tauchte das Restaurant in meinen Suchparametern gar nicht auf. Das ist nicht akzeptabel, und muss schnellstens geändert werden, denn das Zafar ist einfach nur zu empfehlen! Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr gemütlich und viele Tische gibt es daher im Innenraum nicht. Daher definitiv reservieren! Die Mama steht in der Küche, und der Sohn bedient! Ergo Familienbetrieb! Die aAuswahl an Gerichten ist perfekt und es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei! Es gab zuerst eine unfassbar gute Vorspeise! Die Falafeln waren bis dato die besten, die ich je gegessen habe! Das gefüllte Brot war ebenfalls unglaublich lecker! Kostenlos dazu gab es noch eine kleine Einführung in Infos zum Gewürz Sunak. 😉👍 Der Hauptgang war ebenfalls fantastisch, authentisch und schmeckte einfach nach mehr! Alles in allem kann ich dieses kleine aber feine syrische Restaurant in Bremen nur wärmstens empfehlen, und jeder, der einmal authentisch orientalisch essen möchte ist hier goldrichtig! Lasst es euch schmecken!😋

Very tasty cuisine in a family traditional restaurant. Optionally you can also find out something about the background of the dish and you will feel like a welcome guest and not someone who is just being eaten for breakfast :) Highly recommended

Highly recommended! is the lunch menu, price per dish around €12.50 (4 to 5 are offered, changing weekly), very tasty, freshly cooked, served hot. Black tea is served before the meal. The service is extremely friendly, but not intrusive. When the weather is warm, we also serve outside on the slightly higher "terrace", and ice cream will soon be available too! Unfortunately, when you sit outside you have to accept that you will notice the traffic.

Best fatoush salad ever! Hidden in the bread balloon, this salad is also a visual highlight. And that's not the only thing that's so delicious. We have been to Zafar for lunch several times and have been impressed every time. You can simply taste that they cook there with love and lots of fresh ingredients. Absolute recommendation to try out the delicious menu there in peace and quiet!

Terrible. Totally unhygienic... everything so dirty. I'm really sorry, but even the food wasn't tasty either. It just looks good. A lot of things are not freshly made, such as the starters, the dips or the bread. We were inspired by the reviews. Now I can't understand it at all and I'm shocked by it. When you're there, it's enough to check the cleanliness of the place. Make up your own mind! The reviews do not reflect what we saw, smelled or ate (!).

Unfortunately very bad food and disgusting... that was the first and last time. Never again 🤮. The employees also walk around in their pajamas and smoke occasionally. Also pay attention to the dishes, they didn't seem clean!

Hearty dishes, very gentle service, attentive to the customer, very pleasant. We had a great time during our stay in Bremen and we will remember this wonderful restaurant for a long time with our two young children!
