Very, very good Thai food. We always order take-out “Khao Phad Sapalos” (fried rice, #37) and “Phad Thai” (fried noodles, #40), each with duck. The best fried rice and the best fried noodles far and wide - we've only eaten at Zääb101 since we've known the place. The portions are very large. In my opinion, it's a little insider tip in Gießen that you definitely have to try.

The food is excellent, simply great. Unfortunately, the pictures show a nice restaurant, but the decor is like a snack bar and seemed untidy. The young woman who serves walks around with headphones in her ear and isn't exactly friendly; she seemed rather absent. However, the food was outstanding and delicious as well as fresh and made for a great dining experience.

Ordered something here by phone for the first time yesterday. Picked up after just under 20 minutes. Another 20 minutes later we were all 100% happy and grinned at each other with satisfaction at our decision to order here. Before I write a comment, I always read the ones that have already been published, often before I go somewhere or order...this time, for once, I would like to explicitly point out that I advise commenters who give less than 4 stars for the food, not to write any more comments about restaurants in the future, as they obviously have no idea about food and may deter others from the enjoyment that awaits them here. 💯

Best Thai in Giessen. Zääb was recommended to me by a Thai woman about 1.5 years ago. The dishes are authentic and delicious. Unfortunately no delivery service.

I am deeply disappointed, especially this goes to the owner of the business. How can you greet your customers so badly? First of all, there is no hello, no goodbye, they tell you on the phone that if you don't know the dish numbers, you shouldn't order food? I thought I did not hear right! How can you be so rude!!?? Then this local operator gets annoyed and treats every customer like a bunch of people. I definitely won't let a lady who can't even speak German tell me what to do. When I asked if you could pay by card, she responded rudely with NO, and unfortunately I didn't get an invoice either... so I'm already thinking about my part. It's a shame that exactly such people can't even stand up and appreciate that you should treat people with respect, especially your own customers!!! Unfortunately, I then had a hair in my rice dish. I despise this place and can't recommend anyone to eat here! It's a shame that I thought this was the best Thai in Giessen (thanks to Giessen advert). Unfortunately, one star is too many! We have pre-ordered food for pickup as our lunch break is limited. We were told 25 minutes until pickup. When we got there exactly 25 minutes later, we were greeted with gasps and unfriendly comments saying that it would still take a while and that we should wait outside. (temperature 4 degrees) Then it took another 15 minutes. Instead of an apology, there was just more wheezing and unfriendly treatment.

The food is super delicious! Must be the best Thai from Giessen. I think the Pad Thai is highly recommended!

Ausgezeichnete Qualität und der beste Geschmack Thailands in Gießen. Eine Mega-Überraschung, denn auf den ersten Blick sieht das Local etwas unscheinbar aus, eher wie ein Schnellimbis. Wir waren zu acht und alle hellauf von dem Essen begeistert!

Nach langem suchen ein Thailändisches Restaurant zufinden, sind wir durch Zufall auf das Zääb 101 gestoßen. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, der Service ist super und sehr freundlich. Auf den ersten Blick denkt man es wäre ein Schnellimbiss, ist es aber bei weitem nicht. Das Restaurant ist zwar klein, aber wie oben schon angegeben, das Essen sehr lecker.

Ich habe zum ersten Mal das thailändische Essen probiert, war echt lecker.

Geschmacklich ganz weit vorne, sieht dabei noch lecker aus und handwerklich top mit gesunden Zutaten.

Mega lecker!! Mein Lieblingsrestaurant! Ich kann aber den anderen Kommentaren zustimmen 😅 manchmal ist das Personal etwa unfreundlich und ab un zu sehr besonders nett, man weiß nie 🤓 aber das Essen ist IMMER wunderbar!

Das Essen ist richtig authentisch,es ist für jeden was dabei …zu empfehlen ist der Thai Eistee …und der Fisch ist richtig lecker

Essen ist wahrscheinlich das Beste Asia/Thai was man in der Region bekommt. Wahnsinnig gut und lecker. Der Laden ist nicht sehr groß und nicht besonders fancy eingerichtet - Aber auch nicht schlimmer als Andere. Ist halt mehr ein Imbiss als ein Restaurant. Dafür schmeckt es wahnsinnig gut.

Das Essen ist ok, das Drumherum ist unterirdisch. Wenn ihr euch überlegt, euer Essen dort zu verzehren, trefft ihr auf eine maximalunfreundliche Betreiberin - man hat das Gefühl, dass Gäste ihr lästig sind. Da kann einem relativ schnell der Appetit auf die halbwegs authentische Thai Küche vergehen. Da ich dort schon relativ häufig war, denke ich, dass diese Unfreundlichkeit der Chefin ein Ergebnis deutlicher Überforderung ist. Nach wenigen Minuten merkt man, dass im Betrieb keine Arbeitsabläufe eingespielt sind, man hat das Gefühl dass improvisieren mehr Regel als Ausnahme ist. Als Gast rate ich daher aus Erfahrung, die Hülle der Höflichkeit abzulegen und ebenso unfreundlich zu reagieren - diese Sprache wird recht gut verstanden. Wem bis dahin der Appetit vergangen ist, kann sich das Essen gerne zum mitnehmen einpacken lassen. Die zwei Sterne gibt es für das Essen, beim Service ist eher null Sterne angebracht.

Ich bestelle regelmäßig und wurde noch nie enttäuscht. Hier gibt es original Thai Küche die wirklich wirklich lecker ist. Das Ambiente ist sicherlich eher eine Mischung aus Imbiss und Restaurant, aber geschmacklich mega.

Leckeres Essen. Gastfreundliches Personal und der grüne Thai Milchtee schmeckt genauso wie in Thailand.

Schon seit nun mehr als 4 Jahren unser Stamm-Asiate! Hier bekommt man richtig authentische, thailändische Küche. Wir sind mindestens einmal die Woche zu Gast. :-) Zum Vor-Ort Essen durch die kleinen Räumlichkeiten nur bedingt geeignet, vor allem Abends ist es schnell voll (aktuell ja sowieso nicht möglich). Qualitativ ist das Essen immer hochwertig und frisch zubereitet, auch nach 15 Minütiger Heimfahrt schmeckt es noch super und ist heiß. Die Preise sind etwas höher als beim 08/15 Asiaten, aber durchaus angemessen. Definitv eine Empfehlung wert!

Super leckeres Essen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top. Große Portionen, man wird auf jeden Fall satt. Der Eistee mit Milch ist ein absolutes Must-have, wenn man bei Zääb101 essen geht. Nettes Personal. Ich habe 15€ für eine große Portion gebratenen Reis mit Ente und einem Eistee mit Milch ausgegeben. Wenn man Pech hat, bekommt man keinen Sitzplatz, da Sitzplätze begrenzt sind. Leider ist die Kartenzahlung vor Ort nicht möglich.

Lange nicht mehr so gutes Thai-Essen bekommen. Die bewusst gewählte Schärfe (2 Chili-Schoten) war angenehm. Die Zutaten sind frisch und das Essen wird sehr lecker zubereitet. Das Ambiente ist ein Imbiss, kein Restaurant. Jedoch ist alles sauber. WIr können es sehr empfehlen und werden wieder dort essen.

Wichtig: Essen sehr gut, Service gut. Das Ambiente ist nicht zum schick Essen gehen geeignet. Sowohl Tische, als auch Stühle und sogar die Teller haben sichtbare Macken. Take - away ist eine Option. Essen für zwei plus Getränke nur ca. 27€. Fazit :Gutes, günstiges, frisches Thai Essen, schnell serviert, geringe Wartezeit. Auch Thai Eistee Zitrone war sehr lecker. An die Begrüßung "zum Mitnehmen? muss man sich erst gewöhnen... 😉
