Yaprak Grillhouse in Kornwestheim

Hiermit komme ich dem Wunsch der alten Dame, die in diesem Restaurant arbeitet, nach und gebe somit mein Feedback als Bewertung ab. Unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant war eine einzige Enttäuschung! Wir waren heute zu zweit in diesem Restaurant und haben zwei Döner, Getränke und eine Portion Pommes bestellt. Nachdem wir die Döner gegessen hatten, fingen wir an, die Pommes zu essen. Plötzlich wurden wir von einer älteren Dame, die dort arbeitet, aufgefordert, unseren Platz zu räumen, damit angeblich wartende Gäste Platz finden könnten. Das Ganze war ziemlich unangenehm, zumal wir gerade noch mitten im Essen waren. Als wir dann nach etwa fünf Minuten fertig waren (insg. ca. 30min im Restaurant) und zur Kasse gingen, nutzte ich die Gelegenheit, um dem Sohn der Dame ein freundliches Feedback zu geben. Doch bevor er darauf reagieren konnte, kam die alte Dame auf uns zu und reagierte sehr aggressiv. Sie behauptete in scharfem Ton, dass wir unhöflich gewesen seien, obwohl wir bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt überhaupt kein Gespräch mit ihr hatten. Ihre arrogante und laute Reaktion mitten im Restaurant war unangemessen und hat uns das Gefühl gegeben, unerwünscht zu sein. Schlussendlich forderte sie uns auf, unsere Beschwerde online zu äußern und den Laden zu verlassen. Ein solches Verhalten trägt leider nicht gerade zu einem positiven Bild der Community, zu welcher sie gehört, bei. Wir werden dieses Restaurant in Zukunft meiden und auch unseren Freunden und Bekannten von einem Besuch abraten. Gäste sollten respektvoll behandelt werden – leider war das hier nicht der Fall. Wenn ich die Erfahrung in Stichwörtern zusammenfassen sollte, würde es folgendes ergeben: Unverschämt, untragbar, Agressiv, Arrogant.

One of the best kebab shops there is in Germany. The meat is perfect, homemade skewer which you can also taste. Great bread and vegetables very fresh. Great sauces. Very friendly staff. The perfect kebab shop.

We are. Drove 800 KM to eat one of the best DÖNER DÖNER we have ever eaten with our son. Simply super delicious and can't be topped. If we're in the area again, we'd love to come by.

The kebab is homemade and that is probably the reason for the hype. However, the staff and the owners are completely overwhelmed. We were there as a family with 2 children and got a table straight away. While we were eating, our neighboring table was already asked to leave - there would have been other people 😳. Then the next table next door. We already knew it would be our turn soon. The staff watched us the whole time and came to the table four times to check whether we were ready. Our youngest child still had half of it on his plate when the waitress tried to take it away from him. You can't beat it for audacity! Never experienced anything like this. When he finally went to the toilet with mom, I went to the cash register to pay. As soon as I turned around, our child was there with all of our jackets and backpack in his arms. She was “chased away” from the table 🤦‍♂️. Conclusion: Never again!

Döner is not bad. Service failed. There is no service with a smile, and you are constantly being followed to get up from the table. It is very shameful to try to take the plate even though my child has not finished his meal and is still eating. Take a little longer and go to Alaturka to eat real doner kebab.

Very tasty, highly recommended. Had a kebab and a kebab plate. Unfortunately, the prices are also lavish, but as we all know, quality has its price.

I've been a regular since day 1 and am there at least once a week. I was there again today for the first time in 2 months, due to vacation, renovations, etc. I have to say it still tastes great and I can recommend it to everyone. The location looks great now 👍🏼 Of course the owner and the staff were very friendly and cheerful.

The waiting times can be very long, but the quality is very high. The meat is 10/10, very intense and juicy, also a lot of meat in the kebab. However, the bread is very standard and not worthy of the kebab, which unfortunately ruins the overall picture.

Well…..don’t understand the hype

We were here today and ordered a meat kebab and a vegetarian kebab. When we ordered, we were told that it was an insult to the shop to eat a vegetarian kebab here - then don't put it on the menu and, in my opinion, such comments from a waiter are inappropriate. The vegetarian kebab was just the “normal” kebab without meat, so there was no falafel or anything else in it. The kebab with meat didn't convince us either, there are better ones.

**Not recommended – especially for vegetarians** I've been here several times and have eaten meat kebabs, but today I wanted to opt for a vegetarian kebab because I eat a predominantly vegetarian diet. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but pleasant. The service was extremely rude. I was actually told: “You know that ordering a veggie kebab from us is an insult.” This makes you wonder why such a kebab is even on the menu? The contents of the veggie kebab were disappointing: just lettuce, tomatoes, sauce and cheese. Elsewhere you can at least get falafel, bulgur or other filling ingredients. To make matters worse, after half an hour - after we had ordered a kebab for a friend - we were asked to leave because we had apparently sat there too long. Instead of perhaps asking us for more drinks, we were simply shooed away to make room for other guests. Overall, a disappointing experience that I definitely cannot recommend.

I don't understand some of the bad reviews at all! We took a trip to Stuttgart last Saturday and ate a kebab here because of the Youtuber Holle (which was by far one of the best kebabs) The meat is of incredibly good quality (I'm very picky about meat products), the kebab bread is homemade, the side dishes are fresh and the homemade eggplant sauce is highly recommended. The staff is particularly friendly.

We spontaneously went to Kornwestheim right when the store opened and were in the mood for kebab and heard a lot of good things. Unfortunately our expectations were disappointed, not in terms of the food, which was good, but in terms of the service. We went into the store full of joy, the first thing we were told was that it would take at least 20 minutes, even though we were the very first ones and no one was there. We then decided to wait and sat down. 5 minutes later other customers came and were allowed to order directly, why is that?? I then ordered and suddenly it worked? I showed a picture that was sent to me by a colleague who had already eaten there and what I would like. The employee said it was the combination plate, so I took that and a quarter of a kebab with it. We then had to wait about 30 minutes and during this time another employee came up to us and said that it wasn't okay to take our own water?? Since when is something like that not allowed?! We came spontaneously and had just been somewhere else, so why should I buy drinks again! That's just unfriendly! In the end I paid for the meal and said I have a combo plate and quarter kebab and paid by card. When we wanted to leave, the boss told me that he had miscalculated and that I had had the more expensive steak plate?? Huh? The employee previously said it was the combination plate, and I ordered that too! Then they actually wanted the €2 from me... It's certainly not about the money for me, but about the treatment of a customer. We came into the store friendly and full of joy and left disappointed. We don't come anymore, service should come first, even if the food is good, the bad treatment of the customer makes everything bad again. Too bad!

Delicious food, family run, beautiful garden

Anyone who bites into it and is completely absorbed in the taste will forget themselves because of this wonderful taste. Better than Alaturka. But Alaturka is also great, but unfortunately not as well seasoned as in the Yaprak Grillhouse Kornwestheim. Update on September 4th, 2023 The kebab from the grill skewer tastes very good as always and the price increase was overdue. Everyone raised. Update on September 17th, 2024 For €9.50 for a kebab, it's really delivered here. It should actually cost more.

Not recommended for lunch break as you have to wait a long time for your food (25 minutes). And after you're done, you're literally chased off the table.

There were three of us there. 2 kebabs to eat at once and one was taken away. The meat and bread are very, very tasty. Unfortunately, the portions are very small and the sauce is a bit stingy. The problem was that we all had stomach problems afterwards. For €9.x there are better options with larger portions and no stomach problems. If you ignore the price (and assume that the upset stomach was a one-time thing) then the kebab is worth it. The taste is really very good! The staff is also convincing.

The mother of the sons and father are outrageous until it's no longer possible, let them wait outside for 20 minutes, then wait inside for 30 minutes and other people are allowed to push their way forward. If you just ask them about it, they will cheekily sit down and say nothing!! Never again!!!

Yesterday on September 6th, 2024 I went to dinner with my family. Initially we were informed that there wasn't enough meat for us even though there was still some on the spit, the explanation was that it needed to be saved for customers. We then decided to order something else. The waiter who served us was very hectic and when my cousin wanted to order something and thought about it for a moment, the waiter was directly unfriendly and told us to hurry up and answer faster because he didn't have enough time even though there wasn't much going on in the store Time. I then wanted a thirst quencher with lemon and pomegranate, but the waiter told me they didn't have anything like that. Later, when I went out, I looked in the fridge and happened to see an iced tea just like that, and the waiter said I was wrong. We also ordered 2 pide sucuk but only one arrived, even though he had written down 2. Last but not least, I would like to emphasize the unfriendliness again because my aunt wanted an extra hot paste. She asked the waiter what it was called and the waiter replied in an unfriendly way that she wasn't interested and that he knew exactly what it was and would definitely bring it. The joke is that he also forgot the paste. To summarize: I actually like going to this restaurant because I've been a customer there for 5-6 years, but this was my worst visit to a restaurant ever!

10/10 Everything is fresh and made on site - unfortunately it's becoming increasingly rare and for me it's definitely worth the price. Homemade rotisserie and also the bread and the lahmacun are fresh from the oven. Were there between 6 and 7 p.m. and the waiting time was about 20 minutes - sitting at the table. I had a lahmacun and a kebab - both highly recommended! Next time I have to try the kebab plate. All the staff were friendly and competent - I will be happy to come back often!

Very nice staff, where the family is still behind the counter and the boss makes the first cut himself. The kebab meat, which is layered, tastes very delicious. I can also highly recommend the rest of the dishes. I would like to be able to order a lavas with the kebab plate. The store is always busy, so everything is always fresh. The kebab bread is very thin and slightly crispy. The bread absorbs the juice from the meat well, so that it is very juicy until the last bite. The pizzas are great too!

The worst kebab plate of my life and I've tried a lot of them from north to south and from west to east Germany... The meat was very dry and absolutely not seasoned, so I mean there was zero on it, not even salt and pepper, the were fries thin like Mikado sticks, probably ones from the supermarket, the salad was completely carelessly prepared and tasted of nothing, the sauce tasted just as bad. Absolutely not recommended. We were very disappointed because this was recommended to us as the best in town. If you want to eat good kebab, you should visit Mannheim!!!

Really not bad but there are better ones in terms of taste, for example Big Babas in Stuttgart next to the Porsche factory, the meat there is just as high quality layered meat but it just tastes better and you get a little more. Can't understand the hype. Despite the good meat, the overall package is nothing special for me, like a good train station kebab. My number 1 is still Kebabchi in Rüsselsheim - many kebab shops there could still learn a thing or two.

Mmmm great, the employees were simply fantastic, we didn't even really enter the property and we were taken care of immediately. We got a seat straight away, took the order in less than 5 minutes and our food was ready. The meat is phenomenal and the employees are the best. The colleague really makes a top-notch kebab. The bread is almost perfect and simply crunchy and fresh or still warm from the oven. That alone is no longer a given. The meat really exceeded my expectations. I haven't had such good meat quality in a kebab for a long time. The meat is juicy and very tasty. Vegetables were also fresh and crunchy. The sauces were good, but overall they were overshadowed by the good taste of the meat. They really know how to prepare kebabs. The organization and division of labor at the checkout alone show that the absolute focus here is on the good quality of the kebab and thus the customer's taste experience. Deserves 5 stars.

I drove here specifically because the YouTuber Holle etc. praised this kebab shop. I ordered Mercimek soup as a starter. Apparently the soup was warmed in the microwave. At least the taste is standard. Nothing special. Probably packet soup. The bread served with it was cut into strips. However, everything didn't look connected. Maybe leftovers? Because when my main course (Dürüm) was brought, the waitress came straight away and immediately took the bread basket and its contents away. Probably for the next guests🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Another hit of the day was that my Dürüm was incorrectly filled. I ordered extra with onions, tomatoes and yogurt sauce. Instead of tomatoes, they used iceberg lettuce 🤦🏻‍♂️. After I complained about this, I was accused of saying iceberg lettuce. I was labeled a liar in front of all the other guests. Not the fine English way. Where I come from and have been everywhere, a new Dürüm was made without any problems!!!!! They seem to rely on the income. May God judge who lied here. The meat was ok and the Dürüm bread was unfortunately tough as leather. The price of 10.50 euros is absolutely overrated. Nothing fit together 🤷🏻‍♂️

The best kebab I've ever eaten. Despite other top kebabs that I have tried in Berlin, Cologne, Munich, etc., Yaprak in Kornwestheim is my favorite. Keep it up.

The kebab meat here is really delicious. Unfortunately we had to wait here at 4 p.m. for more than half an hour for a kebab and a kebab box. For a €9.50 kebab, I expect things to go smoothly. We also queued for a while to eat inside. Five people who came after us were allowed in because they were friends of the owner or something. Then we gave up and ordered takeout. I really don't have to come here again now.

The service is underground. The owner is arrogant and arrogant. Due to apparently many pre-orders, I wasn't served and they couldn't sell me any more kebabs. I sat in the coffee shop next door and watched walk-in customers being served. Even though the food tastes good, I will never set foot in this store again.

For two, you got 3 thin slices of bread for 2 kebab plates - definitely not enough for the price. The salad was below average. The Yaprak Grillhaus in Kornwestheim is not so easy to reach for non-Kornwestheimers who are traveling by car. Nevertheless, the journey is definitely worth it. The kebab is particularly delicious. The roasted aromas in combination with the herbs and spices in the kebab harmonize very well. The kebabs are well filled with meat. But the distribution could be better, as in the end there is actually only meat and bread left. It's tasty, but without the freshness of the tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients, it's too seasoned. The bread is nothing special, but it is constantly made fresh, so you don't get the morning bread in the evening. Orders are processed extremely quickly and professionally. The employees are super friendly and accommodating. The prices are really high. We paid 9.50 per kebab. You don't actually pay that anywhere else in the region. The atmosphere in the restaurant doesn't really invite you to stay. It's the typical kebab shop vibe. It's not bad or anything, but with the kebab and the prices you could do something more contemporary. If you're anywhere near here, definitely check it out. One of the best kebabs in Stuttgart and the surrounding area.

The kebab tastes good, but is not worth 10 euros. What irritated me the most is that your own people are served first. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our food.

Yaprak Grillhouse is an absolute recommendation. Looks very inconspicuous, but the ambience is really nice, well-kept and tidy. All the employees were very nice and the waiting time with a pager was definitely reasonable. The kebab was one of the best I've ever eaten, and I deliberately only chose meat, onions, cheese and sauce. This way the meat (should be from the young bull) is shown off very well.

Before this huge start-up, it was still a great shop. Waiters are absolutely unfriendly, there are now waiting times of an hour when ordering a kebab or you are told off early by the waiter that there is no meat even though there is still enough on the skewer. If you want to eat in peace and quiet, you can stop by here at most at lunchtime, otherwise it's absolutely not worth the trip if you don't even come to eat.

We have been with Yaprak since the beginning and are regular customers 😍 So far the kebab has never disappointed us and has always been a 10/10. With the best and freshest ingredients with the tastiest bread and meat Everyone is always very hospitable We have been to many kebab shops, including what is said to be the best kebab “Ferhat” in Vienna. However, you can't beat the taste of Yaprak kebab and it is and remains the best kebab! Yaprak 👑

It was just an average train station kebab - it was all just an illusion. It tastes like an ordinary kebab that you get everywhere. In comparison, the kebabs at Allaturka or Etye are worlds better. They probably got down on their knees when celebrities (Holle, Willy) were there. If the kebab cost 6 to 7 euros, the price would be justified. Also, they don't even offer fresh ayran, they only sell packaged ayran from the fridge.

Important: Grilled meat is not available once it opens. Sundays and public holidays only from 12 p.m.!
