YAKOOLZA in Berlin

❗️I LEFT EXTREMELY VIOLATED AND UNCOMFORTABLE ❗️ writing to formally report disturbing behavior by one of the staff members. During my meal, the waiter [asian male, short with earrings ] repeatedly touched my waist without my consent. At first, I assumed it was accidental, but it happened multiple times, leaving me feeling extremely uncomfortable and violated. This was entirely unprofessional and unacceptable. I expect to be provided a safe environment for guests, and I’m deeply disappointed by this experience

I've been here so many times now and I'm always happy to come back. The food is always very good. The staff always friendly and quick.

Probably the best sushi buffet and for sure value for money!

Warm sake with a foreign taste. Question: Can I see the bottle? The answer I got was not possible, it comes from a large barrel. I think mixed with water. Get a new drink for free. When billing, the amount was higher than the bill on the credit card machine. Man claims there was an additional 4% cost because I didn't use a European card. (Master card from Spain)!. They preferred to have cash. When I refused, I got the extra costs back in cash.

The place is very nice and quiet, and the sushi was very good from the vegetarian perspective (some interesting options in the menu). The staff, Japanese guys, were all very friendly. The Moscow Mule felt like without vodka, but after making a little comment, the vodka was immediately added. Left the place satisfied!

We ate there twice during a city trip and ate from the menu both times. Food is super tasty and the ingredients are fresh. Next time in Berlin I will go there again!

We had very good Sushi here. Freshly made and distributed on a treadmill over the tables. Great fun for the kids! My husband had a very good entrecote teppanyaki. The service was very welcoming and a nice and friendly atmosphere. Recommend to go there!

The mango chicken was a real treat. I can't even put it into words. Be sure to try mochi. I hate coconut like the plague, but this was great!

Really good sushi, top food and a very nice atmosphere

The overall interior layout of the restaurant environment is very Japanese style, with bright colors. There seems to be a lot of conveyor belt sushi. The actual variety is monotonous and there are not many choices. There are only those categories that come and go. There is no Manyu sushi, etc. After sitting down, take a closer look at the red lanterns on the ceiling🏮, which are covered with a layer of ash and spider webs. I hope the store can notice these details. The selection of sushi categories does not match the price!

The food was extremely tasty and the price-performance ratio was absolutely right. The location is stylish and inviting, and the host impresses with his humor and charm. A really nice restaurant – ideal for a successful evening in a relaxed atmosphere. I can definitely recommend a visit!

Super nice, competent employees! Food was very tasty. Restaurant itself very authentic and beautiful. An employee noticed that we only take vegetarian sushi from the assembly line and gave us a complete plate of veggie sushi. They generally pay a lot of attention to the well-being of their customers.

Delicious all you can eat, great cozy Japanese location

If I could, I would give zero stars. This was by far the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The quality is poor. The sushi consists of around 80% rice - the rest is mostly canned tuna. Just disappointing. I ordered a Moscow Mule, but there was no alcohol in it - just Schweppes with an extremely strong ginger flavor. Absolutely inedible and charging €11 for it is just cheeky. I understand that everything has become more expensive, but this restaurant is just a disrespect to the customers. €80 completely thrown out the window. Never again!

Very cheap sushi, which beats the quality. We came for the running sushi, and although our expectations were not high, we had expected more variety and fresher ingredients. Salmon and crab are the only things that run around on the conveyor belt and their chili mayo is downright toxic. Luckily we didn't pay for it, as we said we thought it tasted rotten

A real must! Perfect end to a beautiful day with delicious sushi, a large selection of lemonades and many delicious Asian dishes. The boss is attentive and pays attention to every detail – first-class service!

Do Not try the running sushi Good service, but bad cheap Sushi and expensive too.

Love the all-you-can-eat menu here. It's an experience every time and for an all-you-can-eat sushi offer, the quality and variety is simply exaggeratedly good and the price is also completely reasonable

Wonderful "walking" sushi buffet

The all you can eat sushi is very limited in your choice of fish. It’s basically salmon, avocado, cucumber, and imitation crab in different combinations. If you eat more than 12 plates it might be worth it. The sushi itself wasn’t that bad.

I went to eat last night, with the AYCE menu. I felt quite bad. Always the same things on the tape which, among other things, were not good at all. I had two glasses of wine. This was good, but it cost 8×2=16€. Place to forget.

I can only recommend the all you can eat option to a limited extent. There isn't much choice. Almost everything is exclusively vegetarian, with imitation crab meat or canned tuna. The costs are kept very low here. A lot of rice is also used to fill guests up more quickly. There are no options with shrimp. Little with salmon. I probably wouldn't go again. If you just want to eat your fill and don't care about quality, you can go there.

This place is a rip off- they will give you the dinner menu and refuse to offer you the lunch menu if they think you look like tourists and when you complain they will shout at you and be very rude the manager is clearly a very sad and unhappy man and his business must not being doing well to treat his clients with so much disrespect I pray for him that he can find happiness elsewhere and not continue to rip off costumers

We are there regularly at lunchtime... always excellent food, great Aperol, very friendly people

Avoid this restaurant if you are a tourist!! They made us order from the dinner menu and sat us far away from any other diners so that they could make us pay more. The companion I was eating with spotted this and when asked, the manager said that it was "for members". This was in fact not for members, but the manager had deemed that we "were not business" and should not use the lunch menu. We looked it up, this is in fact legal in Germany to not offer everyone the same menu as long as anyone can receive one, but lying to our faces about it and shouting at us when we pointed it out is absolutely terrible service. We could have payed 20 euros for the same 50 euro meal we ended up paying for because of this scam. We had a terrible time, I would not recommend this place for tourists or otherwise.

Super super delicious sushi with a large selection at the running table. There were also spring rolls, wakame and baked banana. For €26.90 you should bring an empty stomach.

I took my daughter for a special sushi lunch for our last afternoon in Berlin. We had been eyeing this restaurant as we were staying in the area and decided to give it a try. Upon entering we decided against the sushi Buffett option as for 26 euros a person the options looked extremely limitled and did not look fresh. So we decided to order off the menu- the manager made sure to seat us away from the other clients and gave us a dinner menu, when I asked for the lunch menu that everyone else in the restaurant was ordering from - he said that was just for the ´club’ members. He said I had to work in the area to have a lunch menu. When I asked the table next to me they said they were tourists too. I think it should be illegal to charge two different sets of prices to people - based on what? The way they look? and he was extremely rude to us on top of that. He also charged my credit card twice after yelling at us. My daughter actually cried when she left the restaurant it was so traumatizing. We have never ever been treated so poorly. I highly recommend going anywhere else.

Good location and easy to reach on foot from Potsdamer Platz or the Mall of Berlin. The food was good and the service was friendly.

Came for the all you can eat conveyor sushi, it was very nice and good value. My only complaint would be that the selection of sushi was quite limited and a lot of the sushi was just cucumber and avocado. I get that you with all you can eat you don’t get everything but I still felt it was limited. Plus side was that the odd time they had noodles or something as an option but this is not frequent. Overall if you want a nice conveyor sushi experience, I would recommend trying here but I don’t think I would come back.

A nice diversion to have the floating sushi go by in front of you. Not the best sushi but it mostly fresh and in great variety.

This is exactly what you need if you want to eat rolls😁 The idea that the rolls float in front of you in a stream, and you just take and eat whatever you like is incredibly tempting. The whole family dined here and were satisfied. Not very cheap, but at any other sushi bar you would probably have to pay more for food for four people. The rolls are different, some tasty, some so-so. Well, eyes are given for this purpose: to choose 😉

We ate “all you can eat”. Honestly speaking the sushi is not the best one. First of all fish is less in the sushis. The noodles and other foods are becoming cold after some tours. And I think what you are getting by “a la carte” order and “all you can eat” is not the same quality. I paid 27 Euro + the drink what you are ordering separately.

The very idea of ​​moving ribbons of sushi is very cool, plus it’s fun to sit at the same table with different people, but the sushi itself is not very good, a lot with cheaper products. There are no rolls with die and shrimp for example. So for those who like to gorge themselves on rice, you will like it, but for those who support more dietary foods, not so much.

Very tasty, fresh and high quality food. Inexpensive and in a nice atmosphere.

The sushi used to be amazing. However, the quality has now become significantly worse. You can tell that little salmon is used to save costs. Two years ago I came every weekend, but unfortunately that just doesn't make sense anymore. Please increase the prices and make high-quality sushi again instead of saving on quality. I don't come back for vegetable sushi anymore.

With a heavy heart I can only give this two stars. The reason is that the all you can eat for €27 simply fails in terms of taste and the selection of dishes. Unfortunately we wouldn't come back.

Wonderful place with great all you can eat sushi, if you can eat your fill! The owner is also very nice and got us some fried banana on the conveyor belt as we were wanting to get up and pay.

The ambience at Yakoolza is modern and inviting. The stylish furnishings and the pleasant lighting create a relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for enjoyable food. Service was friendly and courteous, and staff were always available to answer questions and make recommendations. However, the real highlight of Yakoolza is undoubtedly the sushi buffet. The selection of fresh fish, vegetables and other ingredients was impressive. From classic roles such as California and Maki to innovative creations with exotic aromas - there was something to discover for every taste. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients. The fish was fresh and tender, and the various rolls were artfully and lovingly prepared.

It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but it's 45,000 won per person, the quality isn't great, and they only sell sushi rolls, not regular sushi. The sushi rolls are even filled with cucumbers.

You can definitely visit this Japanese place. Central location between the mall and the memorial. Since I don't like sushi myself, I ordered individual (starter) courses, which were nicely prepared and tasty. Unfortunately, the food didn't blow me away. Our sushi friends at the table were also rather moderately impressed; there was even sushi left over. Nevertheless: I would recommend doing a test meal here.

Some of the staff seem slightly overwhelmed and the atmosphere takes some getting used to as you sit close to each other and across from each other around the treadmill.

We went here for all you can eat, €27. Various sushi, spring rolls and other small snacks run on the conveyor belt. A total of 108 plates are on the move at the same time. The sushi is tasty, but not top quality. Although it is freshly prepared by the chefs, it still doesn't taste quite as fresh.

Very good all you can eat offer, nice cozy atmosphere, three of us ate there and everyone was very satisfied, would like to come back!

Great place to fill your belly with all you can eat

During the waiting time (30 minutes) until we sat in our reserved seats, they could have at least offered something to drink! I found it really unnecessary to spend half an hour and just sit at a table with nothing! I didn't think all you can eat was that versatile either! But you'll definitely be full! It also tastes 3.9/5.

Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait 25 minutes. We then left without eating and went to the nearby “Peking Duck”. Highly recommended, nice service and good food.

Nice Asian restaurant with rotary sushi and a decent a la cart menu.

30€ per person all you can eat without drinks. But a loud environment and unwelcoming staff. You sit at the table between strangers. Background noise is a disaster. We left straight away.

Food was not worth the price. We were 5+ people in the group and noone really like the food very much. It wasn't bad, but it was lower than average. The drinks were served in dirty glasses and two glasses had actual food residue in them. We asked for two new drinks but they just poured one of the drinks into a new glass, rather than actually giving us two new ones. The waiter acted in a rather delusional manner and didn't understand why he'd serve us two new drinks when the previous two had food in them. Service was basically non-existent. The restaurant looked very nice but it was just another tourist trap, as suspected. Wouldn't recommend. There are better Asian restaurants in the city for about the same price. If the staff would've been more acommodating, then maybe they'd deserve at least three starts, but this is basically a perfect example of how to not run a successful restaurant. Wouldn't recommend to anyone who cares about hygiene and cleanliness.

We came here without a reservation and were still very well received and the food is simply great… never had such good sushi… all in all a great restaurant and a great team… very, very friendly… will definitely come again but with a reservation…

The all-you-can-eat sushi from the assembly line is great and definitely worth it. When you sit on the floor, the warm clothes are always a bit cool. Highly recommended.

We went there for the all you can eat on a saturday, it was a bit filled but nothing that’s not to be expected. The all you can eat is alright, and you can make suggestions and wishes for what comes next, which is amazing. The staff was very lovely and the atmosphere pretty comfortable. The only thing that lacked was the variety of sushi during the all you can eat, other than that no really solid experience for a good price !

We had dinner at the roll, but for the two hours we were there only 4 or 5 types of rolls came out of the kitchen, only 1 hot appetizer and the seaweed salad. Very little variety and very high cost for what it offers. Too bad, because the environment is nice.

There is a lot of attention to detail in the restaurant. Shortly after the store opened, the store quickly filled up. All the staff are very friendly and strive to ensure that you as a guest have a pleasant stay. Everything was very nicely prepared. At the end we were even allowed to give a little feedback and request sushi. Shortly afterwards we found our wishes on the tape. Highly recommended. All of the kart dishes were also very lovingly prepared and delicious. A recommendation for everyone.

Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with Yakoolza. The selection of sushi types for All You Can Eat was very limited - it felt like there were only a few different types that were repeated over and over again. Classics such as shrimp, tempura or varied desserts were completely missing. For the price of 25.90 euros per person, I would definitely have expected more variety. Even for dessert there was only baked bananas. Overall, I don't think the price-performance ratio is justified.
