Yakii Sushi in Lobberich is our absolute favorite restaurant when it comes to fresh, high-quality sushi! We come here regularly and almost always order the "Love for Three"—a perfect menu for two that's not only visually stunning but also incredibly delicious every time. The selection is varied, the portions are generous, and the value for money is truly excellent. The sushi is always freshly prepared, the rice is perfectly seasoned, and the fish is of outstanding quality. The restaurant's ambiance is modern and cozy, ideal for a relaxed evening for two or with friends. The staff is always friendly and attentive, ensuring you feel completely at ease. At around €35–40 (depending on the selection), the "Love for Three" is absolutely fair for the quality and quantity you receive. You can tell that they put a lot of love and care into their work. In short: Yakii Sushi Lobberich is a real hidden gem—always fresh, always delicious, always welcoming! 🍣💖

The food delivered was worth a maximum of three stars. The fries for our daughter were so soggy they were almost like mush. We had no choice but to throw them away. Furthermore, there were only 10-15 sticks of fries. The food for my wife and me was okay, nothing more, nothing less. But for the price, it wasn't really worth it. The highlight was the man who brought us the food. He was holding the receipt. But when I asked, he refused to give it to me.

I was truly surprised by the restaurant's new look. The food is still just as delicious as ever. We had a wonderful birthday, with delicious food and friendly, attentive service from the staff.

Very tasty food but a bit expensive

The warm sushi rolls and coconut soup are simply unbelievably delicious! The dishes are presented in a very interesting and appealing way, making every meal a little experience. We love coming here again and again because of the excellent food and the atmosphere. Reservations are essential on weekends, as it fills up quickly. The terrace is located on a street, but there's little traffic, so you can still sit outside and relax. Highly recommended!

Location: very appealing but simple and cozy. Food: super tasty and plentiful. Staff: friendly and really quick. There were six of us there, and the food came quickly and for everyone at the same time. I can only recommend it. Simply superb value for money. The food is cooked with passion and served with love. The food is beautifully decorated with special effects.

I think the only place where it's more authentic is Japan itself, because they pay in yen there. By far the best sushi place from here to Düsseldorf.

The food looks appealing, but a glance at the restaurant's immediate surroundings spoils the impression: There's always a dilapidated chair next to the entrance, where the staff smoke. Furthermore, there's always food stored there, some of which, in my observation, has been left outside for extended periods. Since the change of ownership, the sushi has significantly declined in quality – it no longer tastes as fresh or special as it used to. The restaurant's prices are also in the higher range, but it offers little comfort: The tables are very close together, creating an unpleasantly loud atmosphere where it's difficult to enjoy a relaxed meal. Conclusion: I no longer recommend it – there are better sushi options in the area.

Regarding yesterday's incident, I wanted to say that I made a very helpful and friendly driver wait and that the fault lies with me.

Nine of us (seven adults and two children) had dinner at Yakii. Almost everyone chose different dishes (starters and main courses). The food was incredibly delicious, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and prompt. It was a lovely evening. Our entire family was very satisfied. We will definitely be back soon.

Unfortunately I have to withdraw my 5 stars. There are new owners at Yaki. Since then, every meal has always been missing something, herbs, sprouts and so on. It's a shame. If you criticize, you are promised a voucher. Nobody knows anything about it on site...The wait staff is still very friendly. The food looks good and tastes good too.

Previously you sometimes had to wait up to two hours for delivery, but on Saturday the food arrived after just an hour - a significant improvement! Although the prices have risen slightly, the quality is still top. For me the price-performance ratio is right and I will order more often in the future!

We placed an order at 5:30pm as we were celebrating a birthday where children were also present. So far we have been enthusiastic and loyal customers for years. We ordered there regularly. But what we experienced on Sunday disappointed us across the board and destroyed all trust. All guests - especially the children - were looking forward to the food and waited eagerly. But instead of making the evening a pleasant experience, we waited for over 1.5 hours until we called for the first time at 8:10 p.m. We were assured that our order would be taken care of and that we would get back to you straight away. But this recall never took place. At 8:40 p.m. we desperately tried to call again – six times in total. Nobody picked up the phone. Finally, at 9:10 p.m. the order was delivered. However, by this point all the guests had already left, disappointed and hungry. We therefore refused the delivery

Unfortunately I was disappointed for the second time. A sushi plate was missing from the delivery. Unfortunately they couldn't help me or deliver what was forgotten. After waiting for 1 hour all I could say was. Unfortunately we couldn't reach our driver, which I find totally annoying and totally unprofessional. Now we want to refund the money, let's see.

We have been ordering since it opened. And we have noticed that the food delivered is no longer as good. I often see the last 3 times the food is only lukewarm, today even a roll is barely fried. The avocados in DennT63 are often musty, which is a shame because the taste of musty avocado is not pleasant. The edamame have become much less and the sauces on the crunchy rolls are barely visible. Unfortunately, the sauce combined with the sushi make the meal for me. Since it has now happened more and more, I think I would rather order from the other Asian restaurant in Lobberich. Too bad…. That you save on little things... because it's not cheap.

After we waited 3 hours for our food for our last order, we were assured of a discount for our next order. Our next order was today, but no one knew about the discount. Well, we ordered anyway. What can I say, 1.45 hours of waiting and the food was cold. If you can't get the delivery service sorted, you should consider leaving it alone. Not customer focused and unfortunately lost a family as a guest.

It was nice, but the miso soup was too salty.

We had ordered here with several people and since we had often eaten sushi, including in different countries... in my opinion, you get exactly what you get for a lot of money here that you can get for a little less everywhere else. For example, we had tartare, which was actually more like shredded meat. So it had nothing at all in common with a Tatar. The sushi and sashimi were okay, the portions were really small but still tasty. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the ambience there. The service, in this case the driver, was very friendly and relatively quick after ordering on site. The food was good, but we would still not order here again and would rather use alternatives in Mönchengladbach or Düsseldorf.

We recently ordered delivery and were overall satisfied. The veggie crunchy rolls and the edamame were very tasty and fresh - although a pinch of salt with the edamame would have rounded off the taste a bit. Unfortunately, the sweet potato fries were quite soggy when they arrived, which took away some of the enjoyment. Nevertheless, the delivery was quick and reliable, and the food was generally recommended for relaxed enjoyment at home!

Ordered at 7:15 p.m. and the food should be with us around 7:45 p.m. THINK..... We thought we still had a bit of time. Our doorbell rings around 7:30 p.m. and the food was already there. And it is also delicious and tasteful. So I haven't eaten fries, kebabs and pizza for a long time. Hopefully this great team will stay with us for a long time. I can't say anything about the ambience, except that it is very well attended. When I find time, I'll take a look.

Es war ein tolles Erlebnis. Sehr schmackhaftes Essen in gepflegter und freundlicher Atmosphäre. Die Teller und die Zubereitung des Essens ist sehr ansprechend. Saubere Toiletten. Ich habe das erste Mal Kirin, japanisches Bier getrunken. Es schmeckte mir überraschend gut. Das Lokal bzw das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man asiatisch essen möchte.

Super racist employee, we came from the Netherlands and asked for a table here yesterday but were literally rejected at the door!!! While the entire restaurant was empty, we were told that it was full. Came back after 1 hour and the restaurant was still empty!!! Highly recommended and rude lady who refused to give us a table.

Nettetal is fine as a stopover point, tough it boasts nothing of any great cultural, architectural or touristic interest. Thus it was a very pleasant surprise to stumble upon Yakii. The décor and atmosphere were unpretentious, and the food was very fresh and beautifully presented, with copious garnishings that were there as more than just an afterthought. The menu is extremely extensive, with much choice for vegetarians, vegans or pescaterians. I would describe the food style as traditional with panache. The restaurant was basically full on the humid Sunday evening of a hot summer weekend. The server nevertheless found me a table, and was super efficient and courteous - not just to me but to everyone. If you are travelling in these borderlands I’d recommend Yakii as A+, in fact the best Japanese/Asian restaurant I’ve ever dined in, and that includes many establishments in Japan and California. Thus I am a bit baffled as to why it is currently only ranked #10 in the town on Tripadvisor.

Very nice, relaxed service and we had a lot of fun while we ate together. On the one hand, this was due to the really great food, which not only tasted great but also looked great visually, but also because of the great ambience. You can say small but nice here. We spontaneously made a reservation about an hour in advance and were able to sit down straight away when we arrived. It was a successful visit for us and small mistakes both on our part and on the part of the restaurant were taken with humor by everyone involved. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely come back soon.

Good Asian cuisine made from quality ingredients. Staff courteous. Almost always fully booked in the evenings. It's worth reserving in good time. Always happy when I'm in Nettetal!

When I called to make a change to my order, a young girl answered and promptly said please. 6 minutes later I was on the phone to hear the same girl having private conversations with her colleagues. When I hung up and called again because I thought they had forgotten my call, no one answered the phone. I've called again a total of 16 times and no one answers the phone anymore. 😂

The food is incredibly tasty! Unfortunately, we have never seen the restaurant, let alone eaten there ourselves, but we can say positive things about the various orders. We ordered here for the fourth time when we visited our friends in Nettetal. The portions are quite generous, the fish is of good quality and the crunchy rolls still arrive warm. In my opinion there is nothing to complain about. In the meantime there was wasabi packaged in small bags, which irritated me a little, but this was probably normalized again due to other complaints. The sushi is delivered beautifully decorated in the pre-packaged cans. Bravo, the eye usually eats too. Our first point of contact in Nettetal!

Are very dissatisfied with the service and increasing quality of this restaurant. Orders that cannot be served will be accepted. Either there is no delivery at all, or more than 2 hours later, the duck meat smells spoiled or food is forgotten. Yesterday, after being disappointed several times, we tried to order there again because unfortunately it is the only sushi shop in the area. Another absolute disappointment. Waited over 2 hours for our food and made 4 calls from us. Not a word of apology, but in the last phone call we were told that we weren't a machine and that mistakes were being made, that our order had been delivered to other customers and that we had to pick it up again from there. Making mistakes is absolutely human, but you should react a little on your own and inform the customer about late deliveries instead of simply making them wait for hours. Last time, despite several calls from us, the order was not delivered until we discovered on the third phone call that the order had been forgotten. Last year, duck meat that smelled rotten was delivered. After a complaint, the same spoiled duck meat was delivered from the same batch. The rice was forgotten to be delivered several times. Sometimes deliveries were made, sometimes not. It was definitely the last time we ordered anything there. Only sushi shop or not. At the very beginning, deliveries worked better. Now, as I said, orders are accepted that cannot be served to the customer's satisfaction.

Ich bin so froh, dass es so ein tolles Restaurant in unserer Umgebung gibt, endlich!!! Das Essen ist wirklich ganz hervorragend, die Portionen sind wirklich gut und die Preise vollkommen angemessen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich sehr willkommen. Am Wochenende besser reservieren, da ist es abends relativ gut gefüllt. Könnte unser neues Lieblingsrestaurant werden ♥️

Just across the border at Venlo, in Germany, Nettetal. (Immediately refuel cheaper 😄). It is important to make a reservation in advance via the website or by telephone. Choices on the menu are good, we came for a wok/griddle dish (plate service). The salmon on a bed of stir-fried vegetables in mom's curry sauce with rice was very tasty! Another tablemate had the grilled chicken fillet, same sauce, was also very good. Toilets very neat, overall hygiene good. Beautiful wall painting. Everyone does their best and the kitchen produces tasty dishes. Didn't try sushi, but looked nice. Small restaurant with mainly takeaway. On Saturday evenings this is especially reflected in the activity of the waiting staff. They are busy switching between guests at the table and preparing all takeaway orders. The takeaway guests also have to go through the restaurant to the bar. Management is constantly busy placing orders in Styrofoam cooling boxes, then taking them out again and moving them. Have all orders for takeaway in hand 3 times. Maybe buy large refrigeration with a clearer ordering system? We noticed it because our table was right next to it. Large parking lot almost around the corner, remember the parking card!

Spending over 50€ for a food with a delivery and half of the order is wrong! I understand that everyone is making mistakes but solution of the restaurant is to wait again for a half order again without going extra mile is just very low. One supposed to eat and the other one wait again?

das Ambiente des Lokals ist sehr ansprechend, eine Mischung aus Asiat-Style und Fabrikstyle... sehr cool die Bedienung ist sehr nett und sehr hilfsbereit wir hatten uns für Sushi entschieden... die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich... die Sushi waren sehr schön angerichtet und waren sehr lecker... einzig einige Varianten waren mit zu viel Soße/Creme überzogen... aber das ist natürlich wie immer Geschmacksache Preis/Leistung passt auf jeden Fall.. Sushi sind nie preiswert

Ordered sushi to take away. We have ordered here several times and were disappointed this time. 20 minutes became 45 minutes. But the food was delicious.

Wow. What a find! Yakii has great atmosphere, staff and food. I had a Vietnamese beer, Miso soup with tofu and the crispy chicken roll with finely sliced cucumber and perfectly ripened avocado. It was enough food for lunch for one and it was absolutely delicious. Hats off to the sushi chefs. I would recommend a visit. They also have some Vietnamese dishes but they looked too big for lunch. :)

Sehr lecker und sehr aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Sushi schmeckt richtig gut und ist handwerklich wunderbar gemacht. Preis Leistung absolut in Ordnung. Auch die Pho ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Schnuckeliges Restaurant, alles wird frisch zubereitet, auf Allergien wird Rücksicht genommen, geht nicht, gibt es nicht. Das beste asiatische Essen, was ich je gegessen habe. Die weltbeste Kellnerin, sehr freundlich, sehr aufmerksam und flott. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Zwar nur Essen dort bestellt, der Laden macht aber einen gemütlichen Eindruck und die Leute einen freundlichen. Das Essen ist lecker und frisch. Gerne wieder.
