Highly recommended Vietnamese cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere, with friendly staff and reasonable prices. I'd happily return.

The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was simply top-notch! 🥰 We had flowers with us, and the lady immediately brought us a vase without asking so they wouldn't wilt. Such a thoughtful gesture. It made the visit even more special. 💐✨

I highly recommend this place. The four of us were actually attending a concert in Mönchengladbach and extended our weekend. While looking for a good restaurant, we came across Xiclo, partly based on the positive reviews, and we were not disappointed in the slightest: the service was good, the food was delicious, and the kitchen was open. We were absolutely thrilled! Thank you so much!

I think you can enjoy almost perfect Vietnamese cuisine. The starter platter includes everything you want to eat, including fresh spring rolls, and is enough to satisfy you. Personally, I thought the meatball sticks were delicious. For the main course, I chose the peanut sauce curry with crispy chicken, and my colleague ordered red curry and stir-fried duck and vegetables, and they all looked delicious. The peanut sauce curry I ordered was exactly what I imagined it would taste like, and I was very satisfied. The staff were very polite and I was able to enjoy my meal.

I always enjoy coming here. It's my favorite restaurant in Mönchengladbach. The service is unmatched in Mönchengladbach in terms of friendliness.

Cosy and good service, but the food has little to do with Vietnam. I lived there for eight years and know what it tastes like. With these meals - which were well prepared - I only tasted broth or a kind of goulash flavor.

Unfortunately quite disappointing, there aren't that many dishes that are vegetarian, especially pho soup, which is what I actually came for. The food was okay, but not spicy, I've had better Vietnamese food, and much cheaper. And since my portion was so small, I'm not really full despite the dish costing over €18. But service was really very nice and the lamps on the ceiling were pretty too.

The restaurant has absolutely nothing to do with elegance and price, which is comparable to the prices of great restaurants in Dusseldorf!!! To start with, I ordered tea with fresh mint and, as in the attached photo, I received water and 8 pieces of leaves - a huge disappointment!! Pho soup has absolutely nothing in common with Vietnamese Pho soup (the soup was accompanied by a plate with green lettuce and 2 sprigs of coriander, a tiny part of lime) another disappointment, no herbs, chili, soya, hot sauces. I am half Vietnamese and I know perfectly well what Asian cuisine tastes like. The young staff in the room absolutely contributes to the negative opinion of the restaurant. No we wanted to post a negative opinion before reporting dissatisfaction, but the response to the question whether it was good was met with the answer "cash or card." I do not recommend it! P.S. attached is tea with fresh mint and lemonade and Ingwa and lemongrass - it's a joke!!!🙉

On the back of the menu it says that if something was wrong, you should address it directly. We were asked if everything was OK and we said no. In particular, the price-performance ratio is not right front and back. The answer was whether we wanted to pay in cash or by card. In Düsseldorf you pay around 14/15€ for a good Pho. The soup is then served with soy, lots of coriander, lime and chili. Nothing here at a proud €18. The icing on the cake is that you charge €4.50 for a cup of hot water with eight mint leaves. We have no problem paying good money for good food. Here, however, the great disappointment predominates

We reserve a table for 5 people, call there specifically and get there on time, but then there is no table for us and all the employees act as if they have no idea. Absolutely unprofessional, I've never experienced anything like that before. Saturday evening went well, thanks for nothing.

The restaurant impresses with its simple, open ambience. The simple dishes were solid, although the noodles were a bit overcooked. The highlight was the tea in a miniature dollhouse teapot—a charming surprise, but one that should have been mentioned on the menu. Overall, a satisfying experience.

Twice now, our orders were simply forgotten – and it only became apparent because we inquired about it ourselves after a long wait. Instead of quickly correcting the mistake and preparing the order promptly, we were told the first time that the kitchen was closed, and the second time it turned out that the desired dish was no longer available. Incredibly poor and disorganized service – absolutely unacceptable!

Auch dieses mal hatten wir einen schönen Abend. Die Online Reservierung hat reibungslos geklappt. Der Service war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das gesamte Essen, Vorspeisen, Suppen, Curries und gebratenes Reis mit div. Gemüsen, war stets frisch zubereitet und wurde heiß und ansprechend serviert. Auf jeden Fall eine Weiterempfehlung.

Our group consisted of 5 people and although the restaurant was quite busy and the wait staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, the freshly prepared food made up for the longer wait to order. In the end everyone was happy with their meals. We are already looking forward to our next group meal there!

We were able to enjoy a delicious evening meal today. The online reservation went smoothly. The mango curry is highly recommended. In general you can say that fresh ingredients were used. Food was brought to the table very quickly. Gladly again. A recommendation from me.

I could just buy red curry or yellow curry paste at the supermarket, add some vegetables and rice (more than they add), and the taste would be much better and richer. But nothing really matters as long as there are mice in a restaurant

Nach längerer Zeit mal wieder mit Freunden im Xiclo gegessen. Frühlingsrollen okay, Ente war schon besser. Leider roch es im Lokal unangenehm nach Abfluss, was wir alle feststellten und auch der Bedienung mitteilten (ohne Reaktion). Treppenhaus zum Wc war sehr schmutzig, die Waschbecken auf dem Damen-Wc ebenfalls so sehr, dass die Frauen auf den Toilettengang verzichteten, außerdem roch es extrem. Deswegen auch der „Duft“ im Lokal, der durch die schlecht zu schließende Schiebetür vom Treppenhaus hochzog. Schade, war kein schöner Abend!!!

Wir waren spontan zu einem Abendessen hier. Die Größe des Restaurants ist sehr übersichtlich und schön eingerichtet. Da zu Beginn aber sehr viele Gäste, besonders Familien mit kleinen Kindern, da waren, war es etwas lauter als erwartet. Das legte sich aber mit der Zeit. Wir wurden schnell bedient und auch gut beraten. Die Getränke haben verhältnismäßig lange gebraucht bis sie an den Tisch gebracht wurden. Zeitgleich kamen aber auch schon die Vorspeisen. Das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt und die Portionsgrößen waren so dass man gut satt geworden ist aber gerade so nicht das Gefühl hatte zu viel gegessen zu haben. Ein Punkt der mich extrem gestört hat und zu dem Abzug ganzer zwei Sterne geführt hat, waren die Toiletten. Die Toilettenräume und auch der Weg dahin waren sehr klebrig, es waren keine Handtücher vorhanden, die Seife war leer und es roch sehr unangenehm. Dies war bei den Damen als auch bei den Herren so. Aus meiner Sicht kann das Restaurant noch so gut sein, solche Toiletten sind alles andere als in Ordnung! Insgesamt kann ich also sagen, dass es ein schöner Abend war, aber die Toiletten müssen dringend überarbeitet werden. Wir werden dem Restaurant sicher noch eine Chance geben

Our visit was less than pleasant. After 15 minutes without service, we got the menus ourselves and were told that we would be sitting outside. We chose the starter platter for two, the pho and udon noodles with duck. The appetizer platter was very manageable and not good value for money. After we finished the appetizer we were told there was no pho today and to order another dish. After what felt like an eternity, the order was taken. We would have expected the notice that a dish was not available when we placed the order. The substitute dish “Vietnamese goulash” was below average in terms of taste and quantity. 15.90 euros were charged for this portion. A reasonable price would have been around €8. The cleanliness leaves something to be desired and the outside area is dirty. There are cigarette butts everywhere. The service is extremely expandable. Unfortunately no recommendation.

The food, especially the spring rolls, tasted very good. We had ordered two dishes of baked chicken, unfortunately this was not as crispy as advertised and advertised - a bit disappointing. Food tasted ok, absurd amounts of meat that indicate the quality of the same. You usually only pay 6 euros for a juice spritzer in gourmet restaurants. But what is absolutely not acceptable are dirty tables and floors, which are, strictly speaking, a case for the WKD. Not a place you have to visit twice.

Wir kommen immer sehr gerne zu Xiclo, weil wir das wirklich gute und hausgemachte Essen lieben, aber seit einiger Zeit wird das Lokal nicht mehr gut gepflegt. An der Sauberkeit mangelt es ganz gewaltig. Die Toiletten riechen streng, am Boden bleibt man fast kleben und überall steht Unrat herum.

Well... Nice shop, service friendly and fast, menu is standard, you should be able to find something for everyone. Unfortunately, in our opinion, the food was a bit "Germanized" in terms of seasoning, i.e. rather reserved, the full flavor that we know from other restaurants was missing. You are also welcome to cook with more fresh, different herbs. Unfortunately, the meat in both the starter and my main course was too well done, even though the tables were only half full. I would have expected more here. A pity. If you don't have the time or desire to go to Düsseldorf, I would recommend it for a nice evening. However, I would rather take the further route for a great, authentic meal.

We have been coming to Xiclo for years. Our little dog is also very welcome there. During this time, the food is always of the same good quality and tastes fantastic. We have taken a lot of friends there and so far everyone has loved it and continues to eat there. You should always only book a table in advance, but that also shows how popular Xiclo is. Bus soon!

War mitten in der Woche da. Ab 7.00 Uhr proppevoll. Die eine Bedienung hat alles problemlos gewuppt. Essen echt gut, zur vollen Punktzahl fehlt die Garnelenzubereitung im Tan und die Hoisin-Sauce mit zuviel Fischsauce. Komme gerne wieder.

Auf Basis der positiven Bewertungen habe ich einen Tisch reserviert, was online sehr einfach funktioniert hat. Da Ambiente ist nett, die Bedienung freundlich, leider nicht immer aufmerksam. Für die Getränke-Nachbestellung mussten wir doch länger auf eine Reaktion warten. Vom Essen selbst war ich nicht wirklich sooo überzeugt. Sowohl Temperatur als auch der Geschmack waren nicht überzeugend. Ich werden einen zweiten Versuch wagen, vielleicht war es die Tagesform.

Essen seit 3 Jahren immer lecker, Service freundlich und wenn man scharf bestellt ist es auch wirklich scharf.

Ein wirklich sehr schön eingerichtetes Restaurant in direkter Nähe zum Alten Markt, schnell erreichbar per Bus & Co. Das Parkhaus unter der neugebauten Markthalle bietet einen nahen Parkplatz. Auch per Bus ist die Verkehrsanbindung ideal. Mein Mango-Curry Gericht war leider an dem Abend nicht so gut, und sehr salzig. Ich würde Xiclo aber trotzdem noch eine Chance geben und werde wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung meiner Freundinnen, sind die selbstgerechten Frühlingsrollen, welche ich aber nicht probiert habe.
