Don't give enough change back. looks at the receipt as if for the first time and can't calculate exactly how much change she should give. This is the case in various branches, in Essen and here. Agreement? wanted to sit outside. took the pillows. A worker ran out and started shouting, "It's going to rain." Is it going to rain? Let's get the pillows. Or the workers will collect it. You are in Germany. It rains here three times a day and three hundred days a year. What was the terrace even built for?! Idea is good. Service - German.

There was a time when it was considered that going to a self service buffet,that it was cheaper than being served personally in a restaurant. Not now, even though the food is mass produced,it costs roughly the same as personal service with a 3 course and drink.😳

If you want to drink cocktails, it's best to bring your own straws. We ordered 3 cocktails and didn't get any straws, especially with a cocktail like the Ipanema (where the cane sugar is at the bottom) it's no fun to drink this cocktail without a straw. A glass straw costs €0.50. I find this very outrageous and ridiculous, especially since you already pay €30 for the all you can eat. I don't pay 50 cents for a straw!

Unfortunately only 2 stars. Very little selection of Asian specialties, but some Italian. However, I expect Chinese food from a Chinese restaurant and not pasta like that. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn't convince me either. The pasta was overcooked and the chicken was dry. Charging €0.50 for a straw is a disgrace. 2 stars for the high-quality ambience. No risk of repetition.

The xiao in Pulheim is a wonderful restaurant. The ambience is very nice, the ceiling decoration is very creative, and the place is also very clean. The view is very beautiful and you can look out over Lake Pulheim if you sit at the window or on the roof terrace. The food is very tasty, the food is warm and there is a large selection of different dishes, the special thing is that there are two chocolate fountains. The toilets are mostly clean and very nicely decorated. The only thing I don't like is the music in the toilet. The service is very friendly and nice. The drinks are also very tasty. The price-performance ratio is very good.

We like to eat often in Asian restaurants and I was very excited about Xiao because there were so many positive reviews. But I have to say that for us, the price performance is out of all proportion to the offer. The presentation of fresh meat in the pots is ok, but you take a piece of meat from the pot with the lid closed and the tongs have to be pushed past the knob (the tongs keep touching this knob), which means meat remains from the tongs are hanging on Lid knob that everyone touches and that touches the knob again and again by pushing it. Any food that was prepared on the grill was mostly burnt. Some dishes such as fried rice dried out. The dessert buffet and the sushi area were appealing. It was very hot that day, but the air conditioning was off. After we had eaten something anyway, we quickly regretted it (it already started in the restaurant) and just arrived home where we couldn't stop ourselves from hugging the toilet bowl. The welcome at the entrance and the service at the table were positive.

Our visit was an absolute highlight. The quality of the food was outstanding - every piece of sushi was fresh, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. It was obvious that a lot of value is placed on quality and precision. A big compliment goes to Sany for the excellent service and the loving preparation of the dishes. You really feel welcome and in good hands here. We would definitely like to come back!

It was a great experience! The food was fresh, incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. We were particularly impressed by the variety and quality of the sushi variations on offer. We ate there with ~10 people during our vacation in mid-August. The XIAO has become one of our favorite restaurants, and the restaurant in Pulheim also impressed us. We sat there for a long time and at the end we were very kindly informed about the “last round”. The food was of good quality and very tasty. Although the staff was under a lot of stress, they were still very friendly. There is enough space for wheelchair users. Dogs are also allowed, but this should be discussed in advance. Highly recommended!

The food is delicious. There is something for everyone. Asian, fish, meat, vegetarian, fries and dessert. The location is very nice with a view of the water. You can sit inside and outside. But now this is coming. The lunch price is indicated until 4 p.m. But if you get there at 3:20 p.m., you can only take the €10 more expensive price. Reason: Higher quality food is served straight away. That's not true. When asked, they said that if you only went to the buffet before 4 p.m., you would pay €18.90 instead of €29.90. No sooner said than done. When checking out, they suddenly said that you had to pay before 4 p.m. It's clear.

Nice location, nice service, nice view. However, we personally didn't like the food at all. The warm dishes were very dry. Price performance not good from me a clear no!

Directly on the topic: Location Location is amazing, beautiful view and nice facilities. The food doesn't look appetizing because the heaters are so hot that you get burns (see picture). The dumpling container is positioned so high on the heater that if you lift the lid you will burn the back of your hand (see picture) The heaters are so hot that every dish dries out. So the bottom line is, if you want to drink a cocktail or coffee and enjoy the beautiful view, it's fine, but the food (sorry), I know some Asian snack bars that do it better. What I have never experienced until today is that when you pay the bill via EC, you are already informed on the display that you can deposit a tip money🤔.

Update August 24: Children helping themselves to the dessert bowls at the buffet with their bare hands, dried old lime peel on the €7 cocktail, peppers that tasted moldy, sushi rice that was too dry (probably stored in the fridge), incorrectly seasoned and too cold, etc etc... unfortunately not everything we had to complain about on our last visit. We ate here very often, but unfortunately the standard is no longer what it was at the beginning. Unfortunately our last visit, the daughter used to look forward to it every time.

Food is okay. All you can eat. Everything else is great

From sushi to pre-cooked to self-assembled and two types of chocolate fountains, the selection is gigantic. Cozy seating areas possible despite the large amount of space. Bamboo terrace and view of the lake provide holiday character! The only thing missing is the deck chairs ;-) Fast service and an interesting selection of drinks.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 4 Personen und wurden nicht einmal beachtet als wir Platz genommen haben. Die Kellner/Kellnerinnen sind an uns vorbei gelaufen und es wurde keine Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Wir haben 10min gewartet und dann jemanden angesprochen ob wir denn auch bestellen können weil wir sonst gehen würden. Dann kamen unsere Getränke und wir haben direkt neue bestellt damit wir nicht wieder so ewig lange warten müssen. Das Essen war nicht dass beste , es war teilweise kalt, viel zu hart frittiert (Zwiebelringe) und die gebratenen Nudeln und der gebratene Reis haben geschmeckt als wären die schon 5 Tage alt. Von dem Schokobrunnen ganz abzusehen. Es ist ekelhaft wenn es niemanden kümmert dass zwischendurch das Buffet so wie der Platz an dem die Schokobrunnen stehen gesäubert wird. Ein schöner Anblick war dass auf keinen Fall. Genauso wie die Suppe die leer gewesen ist und nicht aufgefüllt worden ist , wo es auf Nachfrage hieß dass diese aus sei, dann sollte man eventuell ein Schild dranstellen. Die Herren Toiletten waren teilweise vollgeschissen und Toilettenpapier wird anscheinend auch nicht aufgefüllt. Auch wenn es Sonntagabend war finden wir dass es trotzdem keinen Grund gibt , die Gäste so zu behandeln und einen so schlechten Service anzubieten. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht und werden den Laden nicht weiter empfehlen denn der erste Eindruck zählt und der war miserabel.

Very nice atmosphere, service very friendly and open-minded. I've really liked the food so far. The only point of criticism would be refilling the food, as unfortunately some of them remain empty for a very long time.

Ate here today for the first time, but honestly, it was pretty bad food. It wasn't like Asian food. Although the atmosphere is good and the design is nice, the food is still pretty bad. It was very salty and burnt with crickets. I requested a straw for my child, it costs €0.5. It happens to us first. But still waitress forgot it. I don't write reviews that often, but it was a pretty bad experience for us and the whole family. We won't come like this anymore. Sorry for the review but was very disappointed with 4.6 reviews for the restaurant. Never see you again!

One of the worst Chinese food I've ever experienced! Dry meat, the lowest level of taste. Only the grill station saves it. No wonder guests have to be offered a cocktail for a good review. Good restaurants that impress with their food don't need anything like that. The service is slow and overwhelmed.

You can do it, but you don't have to. Service is really friendly, but air conditioning seems to be broken. However, the guest is not informed about this.

We've tried a few buffets like this before, but I liked it best here. The selection is huge and all the dishes seem to be of very good quality, which was confirmed when eating. Everything seems fresh and appetizing. There are reduced prices at lunchtime, even until 4 p.m. We took advantage of this and ate very well and plenty of food. Definitely not for the last time.

We had dinner at Xiao's in Pulheim this evening. After the extremely friendly welcome, our waitress Saly made our evening just that much sweeter! The food and selection can't be beat! Live cooking and much more invite you to have a really good time. The way we deal with the issue of food waste is also very exemplary. We would love to come back and can only recommend it! ✨

One star for the ambience. Unfortunately, the service is really bad and the food is no longer what it used to be. We ordered 2 cups of coffee 3 times and it took a total of over half an hour until we had our coffee, which was cold. Unfortunately not (any longer) recommended.

Yesterday I was at Xiao for the second time and was again very, very satisfied. Delicious food, professional and friendly staff, very pleasant atmosphere.

The four of us stayed at Xiao Pulheim for the first time. I hadn't informed myself beforehand because I was invited. The location has a nice ambience and a great view. The drinks came very quickly and the buffet made a very high-quality and fresh impression. It tasted the same, far better than in similar restaurants. It was also great that a large card was given out at reception about food intolerances. That's why I'm very surprised about the bad reviews. Maybe it was because we were there at 12:30 p.m. and the food hadn't been out long and there wasn't much going on. Based on my first impression, I can recommend the restaurant at least for lunch.

We chose the location for a class reunion. Even though it was a Saturday evening, the buffet was always well stocked and the service was always attentive. Sally, who served us all evening, was always friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable. It was definitely nice and everyone was happy. Oh yes, it was a Saturday evening and the restaurant was full, but the toilets were still clean until the end and could be used without any problems. This is very rarely the case. You have to give credit for this to the operator because of the organization.

We always enjoy coming here. Great diverse selection, nice atmosphere and the food is always freshly cooked. For me the heroine of the evening was and is the waitress Sally. Extremely attentive. Even after a mishap with my Lillet (according to the motto: broken pieces bring good luck), she was there immediately and cleaned everything up quickly and friendly. Also a big thank you for the free Lillet, which was very accommodating.

Best Asian restaurant I have eaten in to date. Very tasty and fresh and the quality of the food is very high.

The food deserves praise, I know everything from the countries of origin, and if it was really made without glutamate (as promised), then the offering was really good. Cooked very differently and seasoned authentically. The service was friendly and overslept, but two clear announcements were enough. The ambience: Well, the place is huge, much bigger than it looks on the web. Therefore it is very busy, a lively buffet restaurant, really not for a quiet meal. Strong smell inside, needs better A/C. But when the weather was good, we sat outside, where you have a beautiful view over a lake. My opinion: An honest C+.

On a mild summer evening, you can end the evening on the terrace with a view of the lake. Perfect. Very nice service.
