Excellent service and delicious food

A Chinese buffet with a twist. The food seems higher quality and fresher. Fair: 3 price options for children. Atmosphere: Elegant on the outside, but inside it's like an airport departure lounge. But cool. And different.

Seven of us went to Xiao for Christmas dinner during the pre-Christmas season – my first visit, but certainly not my last. The buffet was high-quality and tasted absolutely delicious. I was particularly impressed with the service: the staff were consistently attentive and kept us supplied with fresh, tasty drinks. A special shout-out to Reza! Since we were there on a Friday evening, it was predictably busier, and the buffet was a bit more expensive than during the week. Nevertheless, we didn't have to wait long for our food, which was really nice given the crowd. The freshly prepared grilled dishes were the absolute highlight for me. A little tip: Parking is a bit tricky. I couldn't find a free spot right there and had to look around – so it's best to arrive a little early. 😉 We'll definitely be back!

We've been here several times now, and I have to say it's been absolutely fantastic every single time. I've rarely experienced such a wide selection and variety. Everything I had grilled was truly excellent. Definitely worth a repeat visit. If you want to save money, you should eat lunch before 3:30 pm, as the evening price applies from 4 pm onwards.

It's a very large, modern restaurant. We were there for brunch. There was a huge selection of food, as you can see from the pictures. The service was very good and friendly. The restroom was clean.

The food was okay, but we weren't happy with the cleanliness of the buffet. For a while, there was hardly any dessert, and when it was replenished, it was carelessly thrown on top, as was the case with the tiramisu tongs, which were completely smeared with dessert. They were simply put back on top. Other tongs were also dirty. Of course, a lot of it is due to the other guests! We've learned that the all-you-can-eat system isn't for us, especially not on days when the restaurants are packed.

Even the best food is worthless if it's lukewarm or even cold. Unfortunately, that was the case with almost everything, hence only two stars for the food. The ambiance (a large "hall") wasn't to my liking, but that's certainly a matter of taste. The service was okay; if I understood correctly, orders are placed directly by the customer (exclusively?!) digitally via smartphone. Conclusion: I wouldn't go there again.

As a chef, I say never again. The salmon was dry, the duck was dry, the sauces were dried out, the edges of the pots and many bowls were empty... no thanks.

Excellent for individuals or groups of any size. Electric vehicle charging stations and ample parking are available. Very friendly service. Delicious food with a huge selection. Even those with numerous allergies and dietary restrictions will find plenty of options.

A very pleasant place for an Advent brunch with the family, well-organized, and above all, the waitress (Lana) was extremely attentive, dedicated, and friendly. Despite our large group, she served us excellently, quickly, and always with a smile. We were all very satisfied and would gladly return. Overall, a wonderful afternoon and highly recommended.

So, the food was okay, but nothing special. The restaurant looks nice, but... I found the service abysmal. The man at the grill station was playing on his phone instead of maybe tidying up the buffet. The young man who served us has room for improvement. He's young, but I think with proper guidance he could do well. He had trouble remembering things. The clear plastic lids for the food are really questionable; almost all of them are broken. If the food inspectors see that... All in all, it was okay once, but I wouldn't go back.

We haven't had such a cozy meal with three small children in a long time. Our youngest still remembers the dessert fondly. We all really appreciated the spaciousness at the table and the opportunity to move around freely. The food was excellent; we wanted for nothing. We'd love to come back again.

I spontaneously went there for dinner with my husband and our three children (5, 7 & 9). It's huge, spread over two floors, but that doesn't detract from the cozy atmosphere. The food was consistently delicious and the plates were quickly replenished. The service was very friendly and absolutely child-friendly. Justin served us, and since then, our children only want to eat at Xiao's and Justin's. So, a huge success! We'll definitely be back and recommend it to others! We've been to Xiao's in Pulheim several times; the food is always delicious and regularly replenished. The heat could be turned up a bit in some of the containers (the food wasn't cold, but sometimes lukewarm). We've never seen empty containers at the buffet. The system where you can continue ordering drinks via a personal QR code after your initial order is brilliant, and the drinks arrive very quickly. Today we were served by Aleyna, who was consistently friendly. As always, we were very satisfied.

Xiao in Pulheim is a really good Chinese restaurant, modernly furnished and with very tasty dishes. It's not your typical Chinese restaurant, but rather has a European flair, yet the food is absolutely top-notch. I especially recommend the smoked salmon with honey sauce; it was fantastic. I'll definitely be back.

We went there for brunch on Sunday. The food selection was more than ample, always hot, and there was something for everyone. The only thing to complain about was: If sparkling wine is included, then there should always be sparkling wine and appropriate glasses available. Since there were only two bottles for the entire restaurant, they were always empty.

We'd already been to the restaurant in Recklinghausen, and it was great! However, in Pulheim, despite reservations and a long wait, we were offered a filthy table with plates and glasses left by the previous diners. The buffet was very empty on Sunday evening, and the service was inadequate. The sushi was gone, the dessert was empty and unappealing. The hygiene was far below restaurant standards. When ordering food from the grill station, the desired sauce should be included, which wasn't the case. The food finally arrived at our table after 70 minutes on the grill, by which time we'd lost our appetite. For the price of €110 for two people, you can find better food and a more pleasant atmosphere than this cafeteria-like setting.

We went there in the evening specifically for the freshly grilled food. Unfortunately, that was the biggest disappointment! We suspect the food was thrown on the grill once and then, after 5 minutes, put back on the plate with a dollop of sauce. It wasn't even turned or anything. At least, each time, some pieces were burnt or dry, while others were raw and cold. The sushi and the large salmon were great, though, so at least 3 stars for the food. The service was excellent, but the music was very loud and bass-heavy. Presumably so you couldn't talk about whose shrimp were drier ;-)

The meat, especially the salmon, always tastes consistently delicious. The evenings are always exceptionally good, and the dessert selection is simply amazing. The staff is always pleasant and friendly. A bit more variety would be nice, but otherwise the quality is consistently excellent.

Viel Auswahl aber viele Behälter leer, das Essen festgebraten und unansehnlich. An der Theke wo man Fisch, Fleisch und Gemüse frisch zubereiten lassen kann, dauert es zu lange und auf dem Teller war Fleisch welches ich nicht ausgewählt habe. Das Essen wurde dann irgendwann zum Tisch gebracht aber es war kalt und somit ungenießbar! Für mich der erste und ganz sicher letzte Besuch!

Mega awesome all-you-can-eat, especially the chicken is highly recommended. Ambience great, probably even better outside in summer.

It's not a typical Chinese restaurant. The ambience is completely different than that of conventional Chinese restaurants. The extreme size is cleverly concealed by the arrangement of the tables, partitions and the different table sizes. The sanitary facilities are really. Neat and clean. The range of food on offer is huge and goes far beyond the norm. There are a lot of things that I have never seen in a Chinese restaurant. You would rather expect this large selection to be in a hotel. You can also have food freshly grilled. I haven't used it myself. The dessert selection is also huge. The typical Chinese dishes have a fairly spicy base seasoning, which wasn't necessary as there were a number of sauces with spiciness. I can highly recommend the restaurant, also because of the generous time slot when using the buffet.

We've been there more often! Shortly after opening and a few months later! This visit was now after about a year... during that time the food had really deteriorated! Food looked like it had been in the container for hours, noodles were too dry, burnt...everything didn't look so fresh and appetizing anymore...the only thing that looked fresh was sushi and fruit...we stopped at that! If you want to reorder drinks, you should do so using a Qr code... personal service is no longer important!

The location of the restaurant deserves a higher rating, a wonderful view from the windows and from the terrace. But the products are not very fresh, which worsens the impression

The people in the front were really rude. They told us they are fully booked, which turned out to be a lie because I made a reservation after they told us that for right away and they had plenty of availability online. The restaurant never exceeded 50% capacity during our dinner which means that for some reason they just wanted to turn us away. They kept also asking weird questions throughout the dinner. Side note: the drinks were really bad tasted like perfumes and chemicals.

A typical branch of the chain, but unfortunately with some deductions. The buffet often had empty stations and we pointed this out. In our opinion, compared to other branches, there is probably not enough staff here. Nice staff but too few. There is definitely still potential for improvement here. Since we already have experience with other branches, we cannot give an absolute recommendation here and something should definitely be improved here.
