Unfortunately, the food between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. isn't as great as it is from 4 p.m. From 4 p.m. onwards the price is significantly more expensive. We went there once in the evening and later once at lunchtime. If you want to go in the evening, you should make a reservation. Overall, it is tasty but also quite expensive. The ladies and gentlemen who work there are super nice, service is top.

Today we went to the Xiao restaurant in Pulheim and ate there as a family. The ambience was very nice, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was really tasty. The place is cozy and overall we had a nice time. But all of this was ruined by an incredible act of cheek: we were charged €30 too much! Something like this is absolutely unacceptable and shows that the work here is not done with honesty. As good as the food was, we definitely won't be coming back. If you eat here, I strongly advise you to check the bill!!!

Very nice restaurant and lots of space

Nothing special. Eating is well, if you like eating sushi you're in the wrong place, unfortunately it's tk goods. Staff friendly, but long waiting times when it's full.

When we were there for the first time, a long time ago, it was pretty good. Unfortunately, it got worse every time. This week we were there around 3 p.m. The tables looked like a bomb had hit. Everything was full dirty plates, but no guests left. The food was lukewarm and partly overcooked. For us it was definitely the last time there.

Today, November 27th, 2024, we were in the beautiful restaurant Xiao in Pulheim. We are very enthusiastic about the large selection of dishes. There is something suitable for everyone. The waitress, Lana🤗 is very nice, very personable and brings a very good atmosphere, thank you for your conditions.❤️

After eating at another Xiao location, we wanted to try this restaurant in Pulheim. And I have to say we weren't disappointed. There is a very large and, above all, varied buffet, the service is attentive and it also tastes very good! I can only recommend the Xiao chain.

Been here for the first time. The buffet was quite appealing and varied. Service ok. Quite a large guest room with a high noise level from many guests. That spoiled the whole thing a bit. Otherwise, another visit is planned in the summer with terrace space.

The only thing that was good in this shop was the ambience, with over 50 guests only one cook, simple noodles take 30 minutes, the vegetables were undercooked. Food stalls are always empty, only two service employees, simply not enough! Not recommended.

We were here on a Saturday evening, unfortunately 50% of the buffet was empty most of the time and the quality of the food available left a lot to be desired. Of course, it is understandable that something may be out of stock on a busy day, but not permanently. We had prepared and handed over plates from the "raw" buffet, only one of which found its way back to us, the other came an hour later, when we had already finished the desserts. The service lady was very nice, but completely overwhelmed. Ordering drinks is quick and easy thanks to the QR code, but the drinks are totally adulterated and don't taste good at all. The store was completely full and therefore very loud. You could hardly have a conversation, it was more like a full cafeteria. Comfort is zero.

Had a stomach bug all night. Fresh counter unhygienic. The rest of the family didn't cook from the deli counter and stayed healthy. Mass instead of class. Cruise ship atmosphere and mass processing. Beautiful interior design and lake view. Nice service.

Asian food at its best. Everything fresh. Fish, meat and seafood are grilled live and brought to the table. The sushi was also delicious. The atmosphere and the very friendly staff round off the visit.

You can make pasta warm... You can make pasta cold... Joking aside. Great load, lots of space for large and small groups. You can put together a plate with fresh ingredients and sauces, which are then freshly fried, or help yourself to 3-4 buffets. Great selection of drinks and even our own dessert buffet. Dear

Update: today, given a second chance after a long time. The floor and our table were sticking. The food has deteriorated even more. The Peking soup tastes like diluted sweet and sour industrial sauce with canned vegetables. The duck was dried out. The offer was not appetizing. The service was again very attentive. Our waitress Lana was very accommodating and even advised us on our choice of drinks. The food has noticeably decreased, e.g. the carpaccio was very watery, the now very small scampi were frozen and the salad was wilted.

First the positive, the staff at the table is really very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the other staff who take care of refilling the buffet don't care. Things were often empty and only refilled after a long time. The sushi buffet is relatively small and the selection is less than expected from the pictures. In addition, some of the sushi items were very cold and the edamame was even frozen. In my opinion, there are much better alternatives for the price and performance.

Unacceptable behavior from the waitress – disappointing visit I have visited this restaurant several times and I am sad to say that my experience was greatly marred by the behavior of one particular waitress. I've been served by her every time I've visited, and it's always been the same problem: she's pushy about tipping. It was particularly noticeable on the last visit. The waitress calculated her own tip and accepted it without consultation. This behavior is not only rude, but also disrespectful to guests, who have the right to decide how much to tip. When I asked her about this inappropriate behavior and asked for the money, she reacted with visible irritation. After a short while she came back and asked us if we wanted to get up and leave as the next customers were there - even though there were several free tables around us. This unprofessional behavior is unacceptable and ruined our entire experience. It's unfortunate that a single waitress can have so much influence on the overall impression of a restaurant. I hope that management takes this situation seriously and takes steps to ensure that future guests do not have to endure the same negative experience.

We were looking forward to a nice evening with the family. Food was okay, but the buffet is just too small for so many guests! You're always standing in line and as soon as you reach the buffet, the food is already gone, so you wait again. The selection is fine. Regarding the grill station: the food is not prepared in/with the sauce, but rather it is simply added to it afterwards. The food sometimes gets drowned in the sauce! Some people might like that, but we didn't find it that tasty. Regarding drinks: the selection is quite good, but there is only bottled water. I would have expected that standard soft drinks like Cola Sprite and Fanta would also be available in bottles. Service: the cellar told us straight away that he was responsible for the entire area and had a lot to do. That's why we got a QR code and had to order our drinks ourselves. That was probably the best thing for us because we still had to wait a long time for the drinks. So you can say there was no service. Ambience: In itself it looks very appealing. However, the rows are long and everything is very tightly packed. There is perhaps 30-40 cm of space between 2 rows of chairs. This means you sit back to back and if someone wants to move from the window seat to the buffet, everyone has to move closer to the table. This also makes the work of the waiters who bring the food from the grill more difficult. Even in the passage you have to constantly be careful not to bump into anyone. The noise level is correspondingly loud with so many guests. All in all, you can say that if you just forego the seating and expand the buffet area a little, it would be a nice restaurant. But we found it quite uncomfortable. Conclusion: We were during the Black Weeks promotion period and had slightly reduced prices. If we had paid the regular price I would have been even more annoyed. For us the visit was a failure. We won't go there again.

I visited Xiao today for the first time and, above all, spontaneously. The table reservation was completed via the website in under five minutes. We stayed at Xiao with five people. Despite the spontaneity, it was no problem for the staff to offer us a good table. The atmosphere is very friendly and pleasant. The staff are friendly and attentive. The buffet offering is absolutely amazing. The quantity and quality is very good. If something was out of stock, it was quickly refilled. Reordering drinks can be done quickly and, above all, quickly via the website using a QR code. The invoice can be viewed in the same way. You have to pay when you are served. There is a small point deduction here. Summoning via button didn't work. The Xiao in Pulheim hasn't seen the last of us! Gladly again!

Food was ok. Given the price and the high reviews I did expect more. It was above the typical-buffet-average in terms of the quality, but really the selection was a bit limited. It may be worth going at the lunch rate but at the weekend for 30 euros per person it definitely isn't worth it. Both the car park and restaurant were completely full so it clearly appeals to a certain demographic and maybe that's why something better isn't provided - no need. The staff were absolutely amazing. Atmosphere was akin to a fast food restaurant with loud music and children running around.

I recommend it 👍. You won't be disappointed.

XIAO in Pulheim is simply fantastic! From the atmosphere to the food, everything is perfect. The dishes are fresh, authentic and prepared with great attention to detail - incredibly delicious! The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and ensures that you feel completely comfortable. The furnishings are modern and cozy at the same time, perfect for a relaxing evening with family or friends. I can only warmly recommend XIAO and look forward to my next visit. An absolute asset for Pulheim!

I really like seafood, but the cooking should be better, from the sauces only those who like Asians, unfortunately for us (Ukrainians) they have no options

We recently ate at Xiao in Pulheim and were very satisfied. The restaurant offers a great selection of Asian dishes that are fresh and tastefully balanced. We were particularly impressed by the dim sum and sushi selection. The portions were generous and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant and modern, so you immediately feel at home. The service was friendly, although we had to wait a little longer for some orders, which slightly spoiled the overall impression. Overall, a great restaurant that we would happily recommend and will definitely visit again!

I was actually happy with the visit, but there are a few comments and that's why I can't give it full stars. - 1 star that sushi was too dry, lacked the lightness of the rice and was overall tasteless. - 1 star, as is often the case there are not enough service staff, it took longer to place the first order. The staff was friendly, a little smile is better received by the guests. -1 star, the acoustics in the "hall" are just too loud. Doesn't make it comfortable.

Our waiter, he called himself Hejan, was quick, on the ball and, considering the many tasks (guests), he was very cool. It's very nice how friendly you are towards children and treat them nicely. We have already recommended it to others. Please change: some bowls remained empty for a long time and were not refilled 26 minutes (8:42 p.m.). Parking situation can still be improved. Everything very clean. Food very tasty and without glutamate. Nice view and you don't feel cramped. When the weather is nice, the terrace is also a highlight I always enjoy coming here. Great experience for an all you can eat restaurant. The meals and groceries are fresh and delicious. A bit too big for me with not enough separation options. But that's a matter of taste, just like the music. Unfortunately, there were often no plates or bowls at the buffet and the espresso was usually cold. The 2nd one is perfect for that!

The atmosphere is quite nice and there are enough parking spaces available. But if you expect sushi like you see in the pictures or like in a good sushi shop, you will definitely be disappointed. We came here specifically to eat sushi, but could only find bad nigiri and vegetarian sushi. The rice was completely dry so the sushi fell apart. The rest of the buffet wasn't really appealing to us. Not a good selection of maki or nigiri. And unfortunately there were no inside out rolls at all. There wasn't even edamame like you would find in a sushi shop. We won't come again. Paid over €60 for 2 people. But you can get really good sushi portions elsewhere...

I have to give the review quickly before I burst because it was soooooooo good :-) Great selection, very tasty food, very nice service, nice ambience, beautiful view. For the price, you absolutely can't complain, although there is always something to complain about. If you look at the bad reviews, you can quickly figure out what the actual reason is and what makes people tick. Those who can't move quickly enough also crowd at the supermarket checkout and obviously don't know that there are other people around. Contamination does not come from the staff, but from the people who behave like inferior scum. The restaurants should judge the customers, then the whole thing would look different. We thought it was great and will be back :-)

Stylish shop with delicious and hot food. There is something for every taste. Be it the extensive buffet, the fresh produce counter, the salad corner, the shushi or the dessert department, everything is clean and attractive arranged. The service is attentive and quick. The prices are reasonable, a real bargain, especially during Black Weeks and at lunchtime. Highly recommended, especially since you can sit outside in summer with a view of the lake.

The restaurant is nice. Nice decor and ambience. The food is good in general but I was very disappointed in the sushi corner. There is little variety, and most of them were just made of rice and cucumber/bell pepper (the cheapest things in the market). No sushis with avocado or cheese. Also I did not like the payment system where you have to choose which tip you give. It feels forced even though I planned on tipping.
