Mega awesome all-you-can-eat, especially the chicken is highly recommended. Ambience great, probably even better outside in summer.

It's not a typical Chinese restaurant. The ambience is completely different than that of conventional Chinese restaurants. The extreme size is cleverly concealed by the arrangement of the tables, partitions and the different table sizes. The sanitary facilities are really. Neat and clean. The range of food on offer is huge and goes far beyond the norm. There are a lot of things that I have never seen in a Chinese restaurant. You would rather expect this large selection to be in a hotel. You can also have food freshly grilled. I haven't used it myself. The dessert selection is also huge. The typical Chinese dishes have a fairly spicy base seasoning, which wasn't necessary as there were a number of sauces with spiciness. I can highly recommend the restaurant, also because of the generous time slot when using the buffet.

We've been there more often! Shortly after opening and a few months later! This visit was now after about a year... during that time the food had really deteriorated! Food looked like it had been in the container for hours, noodles were too dry, burnt...everything didn't look so fresh and appetizing anymore...the only thing that looked fresh was sushi and fruit...we stopped at that! If you want to reorder drinks, you should do so using a Qr code... personal service is no longer important!

1A!!! 5 star deluxe! You will be warmly welcomed at the reception. The selection is more than plentiful and a feast for the senses! A must for me when I visit Cologne!

The people in the front were really rude. They told us they are fully booked, which turned out to be a lie because I made a reservation after they told us that for right away and they had plenty of availability online. The restaurant never exceeded 50% capacity during our dinner which means that for some reason they just wanted to turn us away. They kept also asking weird questions throughout the dinner. Side note: the drinks were really bad tasted like perfumes and chemicals.

Typical Asian buffet restaurant in a great ambience and a really great view

A typical branch of the chain, but unfortunately with some deductions. The buffet often had empty stations and we pointed this out. In our opinion, compared to other branches, there is probably not enough staff here. Nice staff but too few. There is definitely still potential for improvement here. Since we already have experience with other branches, we cannot give an absolute recommendation here and something should definitely be improved here.

Guys, we had our funeral service there today. There were 45 of us and we reserved the tables from where. So they knew that we would be coming with so many people and unfortunately there was little to no food, the woks were empty and the selection of food was so poor🤦🏻‍♂️. The Mongolian grill, guys it was so ridiculous I was really disappointed with such a small selection. So lunch was terrible.

We've been there several times. Unfortunately, the experience keeps getting worse. Yesterday it was a complete disaster. It starts at the reception. Reserved, table not available, 30 minute waiting time. Arrived at the table, then waited 20 minutes until someone came to take the order. Then to the buffet, where there were no plates. But there were countless tables that had not been cleared. And not for 1.5 hours. But now the point that doesn't work at all. There was no food. No beef, no chicken, nothing fried, hardly any salads and there was nothing left in the dessert area even for children. So simply refilling doesn't work. The employees simply couldn't keep up. Poor performance. In addition, the clothes smell like a chip shop after the visit. That means the exhaust air doesn't work either. Conclusion: no longer recommended.

I was there for the second time. The first time was an absolute disaster. But I thought, well, not enough staff on the weekend would give the store another chance. Now I was there again on a weekday and I'm so disappointed, it's the worst of these branches. I was hardly able to eat anything from the buffet, which was actually very good, because everything was constantly empty. It didn't matter whether it was a starter, main course or dessert. Everything was empty and if you wanted something freshly grilled, you had to wait 30 minutes. This branch is not recommended.

Aaalso... We've eaten at Xiao many times and it's always been good. Beautiful location. On Shrove Monday, March 3rd, the buffet was constantly EMPTY. The staff seemed to be understaffed, they were clearly trying hard, but the place was full to the last table. EVERYTHING THAT WAS ADDED WAS IMMEDIATELY EMPTY, the finished dishes quickly ran out of meat or shrimp and were not refilled at all during the entire time. The things from the grill took ages and even there some of them were empty. The staff were always nice even though they were so busy, but the tables weren't cleared for ages and the drinks took a long time to arrive. It was just disappointing and they didn't even give us a discount for the non-existent buffet. In the future, if the parking lot is full, we will cancel immediately and never come in again.

It was a great experience! The food was fresh, incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. We were particularly impressed by the variety and quality of the sushi variations on offer. A special thanks goes to Sany for her excellent work and friendly service. You can really feel that the work here is done with passion and dedication. There is a wide variety of food and desserts, where everything is fresh and tasty. The service is pleasant and professional, only the atmosphere is a bit noisy, as the restaurant was full. I advise everyone to make a reservation before heading there.

The food is okay, but unfortunately the service is subpar. We waited for 10 minutes, were then asked by a service person whether we had already ordered drinks, and a waiter was then informed. After another 10 minutes, this service person asked again for service, but that didn't lead to success either. Only a walk through the restaurant and speaking to him again helped. A cozy evening with ordered food on the couch has more service.

We had dinner there yesterday. Selected from my husband's website for a special occasion. We love Asian cuisine. But here we were once and not again. The food wasn't fresh and the selection wasn't convincing either. Most of the dishes consisted only of vegetables and onions; you had to look for the meat or if there was any at all. There were no soups. The fresh produce counter, which you can put together yourself, was cleared away at 2:30 p.m. Sorry, that's absurd when the buffet lasts until 4 p.m. Of course I complained to the branch manager...the answer I got was that you hadn't received any delivery. If that's the case, I won't be able to open the restaurant or inform the customers. I would actually have expected an honest apology, for example. B. a discount on the price or perhaps a drink for free. I work in a service profession myself and would handle it that way because that's the only way customer service works.

The Xiao Restaurant in Pulheim impresses with its modern and stylish interior. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the terrace overlooking the water in particular gives me the impression that it will be a real highlight in the summer. The food was excellent - a huge, quality selection, much more than other all-you-can-eat Asian restaurants. The dessert, including the chocolate fountain, was particularly enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service somewhat spoiled the positive impression. Although you can order drinks yourself using a QR code, we were constantly asked if we would like anything else. That was annoying in the long run. The fact that two people in our group wanted to leave early and were asked to pay directly also seemed rude. The biggest point of criticism, however, is paying. I paid for eight people with a card and an oversized tip field appeared straight away, while the actual bill amount was just small in the corner. The waitress stood behind me, looked at me and said: “Tip first.” Since the lowest preset tip was 8%, it ended up being an unexpectedly high amount – which really annoyed me afterwards. Conclusion: Very nice atmosphere and excellent food, but the intrusive service and the unpleasant tipping situation leave a bitter aftertaste.

I recently went to this Chinese buffet restaurant for dinner but unfortunately it was a disappointment. The quality of the food wasn't really good, and the menu selection was pretty limited. I was particularly disappointed with the grill area - the meat was not well prepared and had no particular taste. The atmosphere was fine, but the price-performance ratio is just not right here. Compared to other Chinese buffets, you get significantly better quality and a larger selection for the same price. Another negative point was the service: the waiter literally pressured us to tip, which left a very unpleasant impression. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

I just picked up a dinner buffet from Xiao for €6.90 at Too Good To Go. A special feature of the evening buffet is that you can usually fill the dishes into the box yourself. However, that wasn't the case when I got there, everything had already been put away and instead I was offered ready-made boxes that didn't really look appetizing. That's not ideal if you've driven an extra 20 minutes to get there. Not cool, Xiao.

Best restaurant in all of North Rhine-Westphalia!!!!!!!!

This was our second time at Xiao and to be honest it was a bit sobering. The prices are quite high and the selection is average, I would say. The grill buffet was good, the sushi selection was rather manageable, and the finished, warm food was not at least actually Chinese. I don't want to complain about the selection at the grill buffet, but you could tell that you were under a lot of stress. The vegetables were very raw but the fish and meat were well fried. The sushi buffet was full but there wasn't really much different. There were perhaps 5 or 6 different ready-made dishes that you would at least classify as Asian cuisine, but there were plenty of European dishes. At the top, chicken nuggets and fries but also pasta casserole, Italian oven-roasted vegetables, squid rings, etc. But at least I don't go to the Chinese buffet for that. Dessert was classic cake, tiramisu, ice cream, fruit and lots of sweets. (Gummy bears, Smarties, marshmallows, etc.) A dream for children. What is still very disturbing is the noise in the restaurant. It is very difficult to converse in a normal tone. Another point of criticism unfortunately has to be the reservation time. The table is reserved for 2 hours after which you are subtly told to leave. For us as a family with children, there is just enough time, but if I imagine that we go out to dinner with friends on a Saturday evening and then have to be ready after 2 hours, then that is an extremely tight calculation. So I would say it's ok all in all, but if you really want to eat Chinese or at least Asian food, it's better to go somewhere else. The prices are significantly excessive for what is on offer.

Apart from the fact that Cologne is a colorful city with a lot of sights, the food in the Xiao all ypu can eat restaurant is the best I've ever been to and we visit these types of restaurants more often, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is great also very cozy and the main star (the buffet) is absolutely amazing, it's all very fresh and above all very, very tasty🤗 I will definitely visit the Xiao again, thanks to the Xiao team
