Woodcutter, Urban Axe Throwing - Berlin in Berlin

Quite a cool location. Especially in winter months. You book a cage for one hour and can get started after an instruction. Axes, shovels and trick shots are easy to use here. Of course there are also drinks on site. Entertaining.

An amazing experience with Chris having great patience with me and my many attempts at axe throwing 🤣. Friendly and very helpful staff, great atmosphere whilst still having a focus on safety. Variety of game options as well to keep it interesting. Would definitely be back often (if we weren't just visiting Berlin). We also got to throw a spade! A big axe and a baby axe are so enjoyable.

Had a fantastic time with my wife! Nice employees, relaxed atmosphere, and clear explanation in advance. And when you think you've mastered it, they come up with variations on throws or other axes/scoops. We were never bored for a moment. Definitely recommended if you are in the area!!!

We were there last night for 1 hour to throw axes. The booking was made online. Payment upon booking. After a short safety briefing we were able to play. The goal was to reduce 24 points. We had a lot of fun, men and women.

I was there with a few work colleagues as an event and we really had a lot of fun. We tried out different games and the atmosphere was really pleasant. The service was great - the team interacted with us and gave us helpful tips, which made the whole thing even more entertaining. It's a cool idea - and in the middle of Berlin?!

I love this place! Everytime a friend or family member comes to Berlin, I take them there and we always have a blast! The personnel are extremely friendly and talented, their English is perfect which was a relief. Would come back again and again, 100% recommend it !!

A (very) queer-friendly ax throwing place! Who would've thought that existed? 😍🙏🏼🔥 We recently had our team Christmas party here and will definitely be back! The instruction from Enzo was great, as was the fact that all groups were constantly given a helping hand to improve their throwing technique and/or learn a few new trucks. The prices are fair and ALL of the employees (at least I can say it for sure that evening) are super friendly! ...and because I think it's important and this probably isn't consciously noted here very often: I think it's really great that this place is noticeably and visibly queer-friendly (this starts with the pride flag at the entrance and is reflected in the staff, among other things reflected, as well as in sensitive dealings with customers). I wouldn't have necessarily thought that and I was a bit nervous beforehand because my association with ax throwing and beer is "unfortunately" more male-dominated (or let's say: because I assume that's the target group) and I usually find myself in such spaces very quickly feel very uncomfortable. Here I was more than just positively surprised and was able to let off steam with my colleagues in a relaxed manner 😇💪🏼 Glad you exist!

Definitely worth a visit. The employees are super nice. The tracks are well maintained. You get extra tips and tricks that you can use right away. If you can't cope at all, there is always a trainer available.

A nice location in itself. Unfortunately, the calculation was incorrect and the suggested solutions were poor.

I booked the Birthday Package for my husband and his friends and they loved it! Great communication during the booking process and a great introduction to the axe-perience while at the location with a variety of axes and techniques. My husband came home happier than he left. Full success!

Super funny, we were there for 2 hours with a group of 12 people. There is a star deduction because each drink was billed individually and payment works ONLY by card! Just the senseless transaction costs that arise and make the big players ever richer. This is not contemporary at all...

A fundamentally great idea and the ambience is also convincing. Security is also very important. However, two things bothered us... The waiting area directly in front of the trains is WAY too narrow. There were only four of us and we were constantly standing on each other's feet in front of lane 5. And there was a bit of a lack of variety. We only had one ax variant for almost 90 minutes and we were only shown one trick shot. It gets boring after an hour... There are virtually no parking spaces nearby. So it's better to travel by train.

A very special experience. We were instructed very patiently so that everyone had a small sense of achievement.

The place seemed very nice, but one of the staff wasn't very friendly. We saw it from the outside and we entered to ask for information, but they only told us to scan a code. When we asked for clarification the girl asked us if we had an appointment, we said no and she laughed at us and said that we cannot expect to just enter and play. Idk, it seemed a bit rude. Maybe some day we'll come back and, since now we know, we'll play. All the people seemed to have fun btw, so we were upset just about the treatment. I suggest you to reserve it in advance, even if it's not specified neither in the entrance door or in the web site.

Fantastic experience in Berlin! My whole family enjoyed it a bit too much and didn't want to leave. Staff were really nice, polite and good fun. We were there on Sunday evening when it wasn't too busy which suited us also, they moved our booked slot forwards too. Would be more than happy to go back, but unfortunately not planning to visit Berlin again in a near future...

It's a nicer rip-off shop where you buy a birthday voucher for €50 and are suggested to pay an extra €10 for drinks. Now we're here and we're told we can't spend the €10 on drinks and we'll only get it back in the form of a voucher... very uncool and the gentleman at the reception with the embarrassing Playboy hat is also more than unfriendly... disappointing

It was a really nice experience overall and made a lot of fun. I can definitely recommend for all the other to try this out. I mean, when was the last time you threw axes? You probably never have, right? Thanks to the Woodcutter team for the lovely evening. I was even able to convince other friends of mine to try it out too.

Was there on my birthday. Was super great. I got to throw balloons and won a drink. So really, apart from the short time (1 hour), MORE than recommended. Come again. A little tip: you should be able to project images from your cell phone onto the target (beamer or quick print). I would know whose face I was throwing axes at. Thank you, you are great. First the good: The team is super nice, makes a great introduction and the fun factor is huge! Unfortunately they weren't prepared for my "Duo Pack" booking (of course mentioned upon arrival). We didn't get any specified welcome drinks, but had to buy drinks and we would have liked if there had been a hint that the game was about to end - because it was a very abrupt end and we quickly took two Polaroid photos here became. That was kind of a big birthday downer. Nevertheless, we would come back because we are confident that things would go better otherwise. As I said, a great team and a cool activity! But I could have saved myself the Duo Pack.

Rustic yet modern. We were only there for an hour, but we were still well briefed and there was enough for a delicious beer. I would plan more time next time, unfortunately it was already over just as we were warming up.

The best place in Berlin. I can’t explain the vibe, it was amazing. Also the staff are so friendly and so helpful, they explain us everything with so much details.

We really had a lot of fun. So much so that our tree disk eventually gave way. The day after we now have sore muscles. Not just from throwing, but also from laughing. Note: I've been going to WoodCutter Berlin for two years now, everything there is great and it's a lot of fun. However, there is one thing I don't like. Customer service outside the store. It is written on the website that you should contact us at least 72 hours in advance if you cannot keep your booked appointment so that you have time to find a solution. I am aware that appointments are not canceled, but an answer as to whether it is possible to reschedule would be good. Especially if you contact us more than 72 hours in advance. To write to me only after the originally booked appointment, saying that I had reported too quickly and that they were basically only accommodating me because half the team was sick and my cancellation was therefore very convenient, is a little uncharming. I would like emails to receive at least one automated response after 72 hours at the latest.

One of the most fun places in Berlin to manage your (potential) anger in a controlled environment. The staff are amazing people, always helpful and chatty, the place is well equipped and safe and there’s always something funny going on. Certainly one of the best places in the city if you’re into stuff like this.

The catering area is quite minimalist. Securing the throwing area to the rear is also not optimal; an offset access to the throwing cage or an extension of the mesh in conjunction with a smaller access would perhaps be better. Otherwise it's a nice change, but not exactly cheap either.

This is something else. I was there with the family - my wife and a 13 years old son. We came without preordering so had to wait a while. I recommend preordering. The ace throwing is really fun. You have almost an hour of throwing time and that is a little short. There is a fine selection of beers and soft beverages. Highly recommended.

What an experience! My colleague and I were on a trip through Germany and had a free Sunday in Berlin. Found this place by accident on Google, turned out to be the most fun I've done in a long time 😁 We were met by a very nice Swede on the staff, who entered us into a competition later in the evening and made our day off great 🪓 Highly recommend trying on this if you get the chance! 5/5 on experience, staff, service, community ⭐️

Very nice atmosphere with great beer! World-class ax throwing and fantastic treatment by the staff! You got really good instructions and you got started with throwing just after a minute or so. Highly recommend a visit regardless of whether you are knowledgeable or not. We also ended up in a tournament that they run on Sundays, wow what a bunch. Even though we were new, we received a warm welcome from everyone who was there and participated. 10/10 possible axes!!

Really puts you in the mood, definitely do it! The atmosphere is relaxed and you can throw axes while drinking beer, what more can you say.

I don't remember having this much fun in a bar in a very long time. Axe throwing is a thing! The bartenders will walk you through the basics of this axe throwing art in a matter of 10 minutes and then you're all on your own. I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of it! Certainly recommend it to a company of friends.

It was our first time axe throwing, and it was so much fun! After some practice, we played a few matches, and the instructors explained the different ways we could throw the axe. It's the ideal relaxation and certainly not difficult!

As searching for activities to do in a sadly short trip to Berlin, we found woodcutter Berlin on the internet. The results showed it as a axe throwing place. At first we didn’t really comprehend how could we find fun in that and how well this activity would reflect. But nevertheless we booked an hourly session and went along. And I must say this was extremely fun. Throwing knifes, axes and spades made you feel like a Viking training for w@r. It just awoken the BC era humans in us. The guy working there was really kind (I forgot his name 🥲) and taught us everything what we needed to enjoy. We played a few games which created tough competition between us. Would really recommend this place even if it looks boring at first glance. There’s no harm in trying something new. The prices are also very reasonable when group bookings are done. Will surely visit again and improve the skills. Might come in handy one day ;)

Such nice staff who take you through this experience. Had never thrown an ax before, but after an hour with a good instructor you had nailed down axes of varying sizes, a sharpened spade, and basic rules. Can be highly recommended for those who want to do something a little different, with a nice group.

I think it was a nice and fun experience, which I can recommend to everyone (no matter what age group). There are also axes of different weights depending on your needs. An hour is definitely enough. That's why it was very worth it for the price. Nobody got hurt and I think you really have to work hard to get an injury. The axes are also relatively small.
