I can't understand the many good reviews, the ambience is not nice, very loud, after 75 minutes you are finally asked to clear the table, the next guests would wait. - Yes, really- The bulgogi I had was average. Too bad

Well, first of all, the service people are so nice and respond to all the wishes of the gesture, I haven't experienced anything like that in a long time, chapeau! The food is exceptionally good and has a pleasant spiciness. I love these steamed dumplings, they are simply delicious, but the kimchi is the best I have ever eaten. The ambience is simple and, I think, due to the high volume of guests, it is kept simple because the restaurant is very popular.

The food was very tasty but it was also the first time I've had Korean service. I thought there could be more. But positive card payment possible

Yesterday we visited Wollkim for the first time and certainly not the last time. Although I had initially zeroed in on street food classics such as Tteokbokki, Jjjajangmyeon or Gimbap, the menu featured more balanced Korean cuisine. The bibimbap, kimchi and cucumber kimchi (!) were absolutely delicious. We also had the pleasure of meeting the manager of the house. Mrs. Wollschläger-Kim lovingly looked after our little daughter, cut up fresh cucumber for her to snack on and showed us the possibility of changing her diaper. In addition, despite the full house, she took the time to give me, as a breastfeeding mother, detailed advice on optimal nutrition. We have never received so much warmth in a restaurant. We'll definitely be back, thank you again! :-)

Super tasty chicken soup and great dish with glass noodles and beef. Bimbimbab with beef is also a dream! Absolutely recommended and also really friendly and courteous service! We'll be back 👍

Very few, but very similar dishes. But very tasty, everything is clean, especially the bathroom. The people are friendly, fast and accommodating. We'll come again. :)

What should be highlighted is the exceptionally magical staff - super super approachable, friendly and approachable. The homemade lemonade with plum was super delicious, I was hyped about the chocolate mochi. Unfortunately, a dessert that was previously advertised was no longer available in the end. And a small negative point, for me it was too much meat, too few vegetables and too little sauce and therefore too dry. I think the price is a bit higher.

Our waitress was very friendly, a young lady who knew the menu very well. Top price-performance ratio!

The first visit to Erfurt and spontaneously came across this culinary surprise. In addition to the delicious Korean dishes, all of which we can recommend without hesitation, we were particularly pleased by the friendly staff. You always had the feeling that, despite a full house, enough time was taken for everyone. We were advised and various dishes were described and recommended to us. Plus the Korean lemonades. A great culinary evening that I can only recommend to everyone.

The two of us were at Woolim today. We ordered bibimbab vegetarian. It looked appealing. The food was served to us lukewarm to very cold (the rice was lukewarm, the vegetables and fried eggs were very cold). Rice and spinach were unseasoned. The other ingredients only tasted spiciness and no aroma). To season we were given a red bottle with no print on it. There was a red sauce in it. We complained about the food and returned it. The complaint was not accepted. We were not taken seriously by the owner of the restaurant. He started a discussion with us. “It's their problem if they don't like it.” Likewise, the untasty lukewarm to cold food had to be paid for. This is the worst food we have ever eaten and we had to pay for it even though it was returned uneaten.

Eat deliciously with a view of the Christmas market

As the name suggests, typical Korean dishes are served here. It was super tasty and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

It was the best family meal we've ever had. The service is always in the right place at the right time. The food is indescribably delicious. The ambience is simply beautiful, the view of the cathedral combined with the delicious food and the service is simply a successful evening.

Really delicious food and super nice service

During my trip to Germany, I tried some unexpectedly wonderful Korean food. Just having a Korean restaurant like this in Erfurt is a huge blessing during your trip to central-eastern Germany. I saw that German people were eating a lot of chicken-type food that suited the locals' tastes in restaurants, and the tuna kimchi stew and soybean paste stew maintained the Korean-style taste and original taste well. In particular, the soybean paste stew had a much richer and deeper flavor than the recent soybean paste stew trend in Korea. That part quenched my thirst as I couldn't eat much Korean food during my trip to Germany. The feeling of feeling tired for a few days has completely disappeared. I think they struck a good balance by keeping the Korean taste in the stew part while also adapting the chicken and meat dishes to some extent to suit local tastes. I hope that the restaurant will develop well while maintaining this identity. The owner's resume was very impressive, and both the Korean manager and local staff were very responsive and nice.

I stopped by by chance and wasn't expecting much. I think it would be a good idea to make a reservation and go with a view of the cathedral in front. The hand dumplings were just like instant dumplings, and the kimchi tuna stew and soybean paste stew were rich and delicious because they kept the Korean style well. I hope that the taste of the stew will not be localized in the future ^^ And the Korean manager who has been working with the male German employee for 6 months is really kind~~ I would like to praise the owner for selecting good employees!

For the first time in Erfurt and was lucky to find a very good restaurant. Centrally located at the cathedral, owner-managed (German-Korean couple), delicious, rich, varied. Map is not too short and not too long, in sharp and in normal. We received friendly and entertaining service and were very well looked after. We were in the front of the restaurant with a view of the cathedral and cathedral square, the restaurant also extends further into the back of the building. The faucet in the men's toilet also deserves a comment. Unusual and surprisingly elegant. Make up your own mind.

Great Korean restaurant right in the city center of Erfurt on Domplatz. Small but nice menu, delicious food (the spicy kimchi soup is recommended) and super friendly staff!!! Absolute recommendation!

Small restaurant but ok. The atmosphere is nice and homely. The service is good, quite fast, nice and friendly. The food looks very close to Korean dishes, but was extremely Germanized. Comparatively as far apart as pizza from tarte flambée. They look similar and the method of preparation is similar but otherwise they have nothing in common. The Korean style of seasoning was completely missing. This was very disappointing as we had been looking forward to it for a week. It's not meant to be bad, but it's not authentic. Unfortunately. Addendum: Yes!!! Anyone who, as a supposed connoisseur of Korean cuisine, believes that an offer (mandus) says something about quality and authenticity is wrong. We have not said anything about the quality or quantity. Only the authenticity (seasoning) can be improved. This also applies to Dolsot. The rice should develop a crispy layer and the egg should be raw (the version with a fried egg is rarer in Korea). In good restaurants, there is some broth separately and at least four side dishes (banchans), which ideally cover the tastes of salty, sweet, bitter and sour to round off the dish and, depending on your personal preferences, give the dish a certain kick. What did you want to achieve by comparing it to Chinese cuisine? We prefer the Korean one. You too? Then we'll stick with it ;-)

Unfortunately, the staff was very unfriendly, so I cannot recommend this restaurant for a visit. Too bad.

It was a memorable meal with everything from the food, service, and the owner's story. The soybean paste stew had a touching taste that is difficult to eat even in Korea ^^

We had a seat by the window on the upper floor, the only problem for us was that it quickly became noisy as all the tables were occupied and it was therefore difficult for us to have a conversation. Still recommended in principle.

A must visit if your are in and around Erfurt, period. Mazing self made kimchi, all the food is neatly presented and are of the highest quality. The staff, especially the owners Jörn and Nami are amazing. You will instantly feel welcome and never alone. Your order is taken fast and the food comes in no time. For this price the restaurant is unbeatable. Perfect 10/10

We were standing in front of the restaurant and accidentally sat on the chairs in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the owner told us to get up in a rude tone. Even an older woman who had trouble standing was not allowed to sit down. I wouldn't feel comfortable in this restaurant.

We were there with 10 people (family) in the afternoon, great service, employee “Peter” offered us small tarts to go with our coffee, told us about the restaurant, etc… Went back the next day. Great again. In the evening the two of us went out for dinner again. Great advice - great service - delicious food. Really highly recommended. Thank you very much for everything Peter……. Loving restaurant, modern, well-kept and clean. The staff is really nice and always up for fun. No McDonald's or kebab prices, but very good value for money. Old summer sunset with a view of Erfurt Cathedral was beautiful. Food was very tasty and fresh. Always happy ❤️

I think it would do really well if you let the owner open it in Korea. It tastes better than most restaurants in Seoul! I ordered bibimbap and was impressed (they made their own red pepper paste, and the vegetables were real Korean bibimbap vegetables, not European vegetables!) It was the most delicious thing I had in Europe. They gave me beef soup as a service, and it was so delicious that I ate it next time. I'll eat that when I go. I'll see you again :)

We had dinner in this wonderful restaurant today. We received a very friendly welcome and soon had our food in front of us. Now we could see that the great scent that surrounded us the whole time promised nothing wrong. The food was extremely tasty and plentiful, my daughter didn't quite finish her portion "for a small hunger", which she regrets very much. Price and performance are in good harmony here, if anything it is almost too cheap. Thank you very much.

Friendly service and freshly prepared food.

I would like to start with the positive: If you like Korean cuisine AND eat meat, you will like this food. The waiter who took over our table for dessert was very nice and in a good mood - which couldn't be said of the first waiter (owner?). Now that big BUT! First of all, about the table: If I reserve in advance, I expect that the flowers on the table are still fresh, the table runners are clean, the cutlery is already in place and the candles are lit. Unfortunately it wasn't like that. Furthermore, I personally cannot make a clear recommendation for vegetarians/vegans. You could offer a lot more. I was absolutely disappointed in the taste. A lot of rice, few vegetables and the whole thing only got flavor with a matching sauce, but you have to be able to tolerate the spiciness if you want to achieve something in terms of taste. Here I describe my personal experiences and impressions from my last visit. Everyone can and should form their own opinion, because there are also many positive reviews. And the “meat eaters” in the group were thrilled with the food.

Very nice little Korean restaurant. The selection of food was numerically small, but sufficiently diverse and, I would like to emphasize, very tasty. Some of the meat dishes can also be ordered vegetarian or vegan. I've never been a fan of tofu, but this is completely different than what I know. Delicious. To top it off, we also had great service (Peter). It was a nice evening 👍

The team was very friendly and accommodating. Since I spent a long time in South Korea myself, I have to say that the food has nothing to do with that and the quality is average. The price compared to what was delivered made us a bit angry. Here you should think about whether it wouldn't be better to increase the prices again and become more authentic. The ramen was a cheeky €7 bag of soup with vegetables and hair-thin beef. Do it right, but don't ruin your reputation. I know it's hard to read something like that as a restaurateur today, but we need to give it some serious thought.

My colleagues and I travel every week to Erfurt since January 2024, we have dinner here 1-2 times a week. The food tastes really good and the people in restaurant are so friendly. I don’t want to say that is the service because the way they talk and service the guests is nice warm☺️ The location of restaurant is in front of Dome place, so nice especially sitting outside 👍👍👍👍 If I visit Erfurt again, I would always come here😊😊😊😊

The food is really very tasty and high quality. The service is excellent. There is only one star deduction because you can't get into the restaurant with a wheelchair. As a wheelchair user you can only come here and sit outside in summer.

We were at Wollkim for the first time today and would come back any time. It's been a long time since we were greeted by a waiter in such a friendly and welcoming manner. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. Our 2-year-old daughter was also given special loving care.

Everything here except the soup is localized, so the seasoned chicken is an unidentified stir-fried chicken and vegetables, and the taste is just so-so. The quantity is appropriate. It's just a foreign average.

The Korean restaurant on Domplatz in Erfurt is a real insider tip. Because the cuisine is not simply Asian in the form that European palates expect. The dishes are actually unusual and take some getting used to in a positive sense. Some flavors may be experienced by guests for the first time. But don't worry, the friendly staff are happy to help you choose the dishes with a large dose of humor. Once you've got a taste for it, you're welcome to stop by again. The price-performance ratio is balanced. It is neither too expensive nor particularly cheap. But the visit is worth it.

The two of us went to Wollkim Essen on a Thursday evening without a reservation. We asked for a table for two and were shown to the back, we sat in the aisle, but that didn't bother us. The order was taken quickly and the drinks came to the table quickly. What then "ruined" the evening was the extremely long waiting time, especially since after 45 minutes I asked the waitress how long it would take - she said "astonished" "the food isn't there yet". She probably went into the kitchen and looked for the order for our dishes, after 10 minutes she said curtly "Yes, something came up or the receipt was missing". After another 25 minutes the dishes came to the table hot. The food was really excellent and definitely sufficient. Unfortunately, we weren't greeted with any gestures, an espresso or anything like that "on the house" and we weren't really apologized for either. It's a shame, there's no second chance to make a first impression.

The food definitely tastes great. Usually the prices in Korean restaurants are too expensive, but I find the prices here reasonable. There were also a lot of vegan options. The chicken dishes had vegan versions. We didn't wait much for kimchi and mandu. The waiters and the owners are very nice and friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very nice. It was my first experience with Korean food and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone

So this was the second time we ate at Wollkim and I thought it was fantastic again. And I can't understand these negative reviews. How can you write something so negative? The Wollkim is always worth a visit. And the bulgogi was again very tasty.... I'm already looking forward to the next time...
