Great beer garden right on the Saar. Service friendly and quick...there's nothing to complain about.

Super friendly service, nice atmosphere. Food is ok, portions are plentiful.

After a hike, we stopped in the beer garden for a drink. Ordering by phone certainly makes service easier, but it still takes some getting used to. It worked well, though. Nice ambiance on the terrace.

We had dinner with the family at Wild Duck on Saturday evening. I've been looking forward to the duck for weeks. Too bad! That was nothing!!!! My piece of half duck was rubbery, tasted like the fridge and dry on the outside, a bit raw on the inside. The red cabbage was extremely peppery, the napkin dumplings (2 thin slices) were dry, so I ordered an extra portion, also because I found the quantity a bit sparse. Our children had a steak and a schnitzel, both of which were "ok". The waitress didn't ask once if the food was ok... but that was wishful thinking. At first we were still thinking about making a reservation there with the family for Christmas, but that's all over now!

Poor service during the meal, no attention towards us, we were charged for desserts that we did not order Bedienung schlecht, keiner Aufmerksamkeit während des Essens, Nachspeise die wir nicht bestellt haben sind uns verrechnet worden.

Duck good, all good! We had a cozy time with delicious food (duck, schnitzel, Brizza, Techtel-Mechtel). Portions were sufficient. Prices reasonable. We'll be back.

The cooking is still done with love and the guest is truly king The food is delicious and there is something for everyone! The menu is fun and invites you to choose! The duck breast is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a delicate jus (5 stars) The wine list also leaves nothing to be desired (Gilg winery and Schmitt-Weber) what more could you want!! We spontaneously visited the Wild Duck on Saturday evening. We were greeted very friendly and were immediately assigned a suitable table. The drinks and dishes came in a timely manner. Everything tasted very tasty, the only criticism I have is that the chef was probably in love, there was actually too much salt on the fried potatoes. My husband had nothing wrong with his duck. Very happy again.

Overall the food was carelessly prepared. Schnitzel frozen goods, sauce from the bag and the fact that a beef steak can be prepared without any roasted flavors was new to me. The best product were the fries!! Sorry, but you could do that in German. do better. Uh. Location: great Service: really friendly and quick Food: Hmm 🤔 There were three of us and we had a schnitzel variation twice and a salad once. The salad looked good and my friend obviously liked it too 🤗 The two schnitzels... Oof. The plates looked good, but the sauces really weren't to our taste. Difficult to describe... I'm not a cook and can only tell the difference between "tasteful" and "not tasty" - I have no idea, maybe they were finished products 😔 The restaurant was almost fully booked and there was apparently an event taking place in the next room. Maybe this contributed to it. Let's take a look next time I try/visit ☺️

I had dinner here with my parents on Christmas Day. We had a slot from 12-3 p.m. Even though the restaurant was fully booked that morning, the service was excellent. The waitresses all ran around like crazy and tried very hard to serve all guests in an equally friendly manner. And they succeeded very well! The portions are also very generous and should not be underestimated ;) With 4 people we paid €200 each for 3 courses and drinks. So the price is also reasonable.

Yesterday we from the Berschfohlen from Elversberg had our year-end celebration with a buffet - the food was simply amazing. We say THANK YOU Michael and his team. Was here again today on September 13th, 2024 - what can I say: it was awesome. 12/26/2024 Duck schnitzel with cheese gratin and potatoes, so delicious. Thank you 😘

Insanely great location with various private rooms in Bavarian style. Very attentive, friendly service… here you are both a guest and a friend. Super delicious food, even small special requests are catered for perfectly. Highly recommended for an enjoyable evening. Will definitely come back. Ate the almöhi there like before. We always used to love food. Great fresh fries especially...the pan of meat always came hot from the oven and cheese was baked with it. And today........pan ice cold, meat tastes like ready-made schnitzel and the whole thing as if it came from the microwave, and the lukewarm sauce was tipped into the cold pan.the fries were thin, fatty parts. After my meat wasn't cooked through and everything was lukewarm, I let it go back and then ordered schnitzel with pepper sauce. The same sauce as at almöhi, only peppercorns thrown in. So all in all, it turned out very bad. It's a shame......perhaps as a boss you should look at the reviews and improve one or two things, or be on site!!! Oh sooo...and the service in the beer garden was always not great. Too bad

Simply top! Food is inexpensive and well portioned, the dishes on the menu have funny names. The service is friendly and quick with orders. Reservation is advisable. On Saturday evening the place was full. A large beer garden for summer rounds off the inn well. All around, great!

Die Qualität der Speisen hat sehr stark nachgelassen. Der Alm-Öhi war immer mein Lieblingsessen. Jetzt nicht mehr zu genießen. In der Vergangenheit war ich öfter hier essen. Auch die Weihnachtsfeier haben wir mit der Firma schon hier verbracht. In Zukunft werde ich nur noch im Sommer auf ein Bier im wunderschönen Biergarten hierher kommen.

Cozy restaurant, large portions, good value for money. Onion soup was great, salad and grösti pan were excellent. Unfortunately, the duck breast fillet was too well done and therefore very dry - but all the other dishes at my table were very tasty. Desserts were good, Dame Blanche was a bit “bland”, soft ice cream and affogato were again great. Service that evening was unfortunately very overwhelmed, all tables were fully booked and you could tell that the team was trying hard and friendly, but overwhelmed. Conclusion: a cozy evening, we'll see if there's a second one :)

A nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the duck breast that was 'pink' according to the menu was not pink at all, but gray... sometimes two main courses were brought out far too late, sometimes the cutlery for the soup or dessert was forgotten and once the dessert was completely forgotten. The side dishes were great and the salad was crisp and fresh. All in all, not a bad evening, but also not one that will be remembered and entice you to visit again.

The restaurant has been loyal for a long time, the food is good at an affordable price. Pretty outdoor terrace overlooking the Saar and in winter there is a wooden chalet with mountain specialties. The atmosphere is pleasant I highly recommend this place Continue like this. 👌

Cozy and very tasty. Friendly service every time. Unfortunately it's very loud inside when it's full. Recommended. ....07.09.24..Today I wanted to go to the beer garden with a wheelchair companion. Unfortunately the ramp has a step. It was still difficult to get up. We had to climb two steps to get to the toilet. Absolutely unfriendly for disabled people. The service does the bare minimum, I would have liked to have been able to ask for more drinks or dessert. It wasn't that crowded. Wine was delicious. Unfortunately no food. Salad was lovelessly huge pieces, tomato huge, little dressing, dry chicken. Unfortunately the duck dish was also nothing. We sat nicely with a view of the Saar. Still found it disappointing.

My steak was not medium rare and had lots of tendons. You can ignore that, but as a guest I can't handle the statement that they don't sell small beers in the beer garden. Above all, the tone in which you communicate this to the guest is absolutely unacceptable. If I could give zero stars for the service I would. That was the last time in the restaurant.

Although I only got takeaway food, I can say that I really liked what I saw. Unfortunately, ordering didn't work out that way. I had pre-ordered to pick it up. I ordered cream schnitzel and I got pepper schnitzel. You should change something again so that the mix-up doesn't happen again. Since I took it with me, I didn't notice the mix-up until I ate it. I ate the schnitzel without sauce. Was also delicious.

To be honest, I have never paid so much money for a cream schnitzel where the portion of fries was so small and no small salad was served with it! You can then get it for just under 5 euros! Otherwise everything is okay.

Terribly deteriorated. Most of the positive reviews were written in the past. Previously (about 4-5 years ago) the food was good and inexpensive. Today the price-performance ratio is terrible. The prices are relatively high and the quality of the food is very, very low. the location is very nice, the staff is polite and the service is good, but the quality of the food is very low and the price is very high. Today a very special experience....there are no conditions in the beer garden....you can order food and drinks online and they will then be brought to the table....so far no problem...but you have to go ahead Pay for the order online by credit card and only then can you place the order.....the second option is basically self-service....you simply go to the counter and order what you would like and then pay there too....me I had a drink and a cappuccino for 9.10 euros... and I was told that they would bring it to my table... so far so good... I just had to ask for change... ...they simply pocketed the 90 cents....incredible...and a shame...a lot of money for so little service

Nice beer garden right on the Saar. Our meal was absolutely good. But what was better was the very hard-working service!

Le restaurant et bien situé : terrasse ombragée en bord de Sarre. La maison élève ses propres canards. Les plats proposés sont bons et copieux. Par contre, le service se fait de manière totalement désorganisée. Plus gênant encore : les nuées de mouches vertes (mouches à m....) qui se précipitent sur les plats dès qu'ils sont servis...

Price performance ratio not ok. I ordered an alcohol-free Cola wheat (€4.90 / Colabier on the menu) or Weizen 4.90 depending on how it is rated. I got a non-alcoholic Cola wheat plus a small cola, which was just €7.10 (unbelievable, never experienced it, actually a case for Peter Giesel from Caution Rip-off). Schnitzel wasn't filling, far too little meat (small portion/€17 for schnitzel without sauce and mini-ready potatoes instead of fried potatoes as requested. This was an expensive evening for these dishes. I wanted to give the Wild Ente a new chance because over the last 5 years it has always disappointed with its constantly changing cuisine. About 7 years ago everything was ok there, but I can't recommend the store. I'm disappointed and will stay away for a long time if I ever go again.

Nice beer garden but the food wasn't good. The schnitzel was hard, the ham on it dried out, the sauce tasted like a finished product. In response to our complaint, they offered to remake the dish, but we declined. No compensation in the form of an espresso or similar. Very unfortunate and not customer friendly

The food is no longer what it used to be. Complaints are not responded to and the main conditions in the beer garden were very unfriendly. We were a group of people and she didn't get a tip from anyone. I won't go there anymore.

Small portions at overpriced prices. Unfortunately, the quality of the food also deteriorated and it didn't taste good at all. I ordered a cream schnitzel, which looked like a frozen schnitzel. The fries were unsalted and looked like frozen fries.

Well...I don't know what such operators think...18 euros for a mini schnitzel with cold fries. Nope....at the prices compared to such small mini portions it's not worth a visit. A pity.

We went here today, unfortunately there is a sign on the terrace saying that seating is not possible without a reservation. Everything would be fully booked because of a large company that wasn't there yet. The open terrace was only half occupied. We didn't even get anything to drink. Please write something like that on your website, then we would have saved ourselves the wwg.

Enjoyed a sunny, beautiful Sunday in the beer garden. The beer garden is a dream, you sit comfortably and can “sink” there😅 we enjoyed the small appetizers as a starter. They were very tasty. For the main course we had the cream schnitzel, the Pfeffschnitzel and the grilled salmon. Everything was very tasty, what was missing a little was the side salad. The waitresses were very nice and the food came quickly. And the drinks arrived quickly too. Can only recommend it 👍🏽

Unfortunately, the food didn't taste good at all. Ordered cream schmitzel. Got the schnitzel with dark gravy. It's done for us. Let's not go there anymore. Price performance is zero.

Nice beer garden, service also very friendly and helpful, Food and price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired, starter salad and potato soup (unfortunately nothing like a potato soup but rather bacon and onion soup), after the starter the first main course came within 2 minutes, after asking my main course also came, Unfortunately it wasn't with the potatoes we ordered but with fries, but the friendly service went straight to taking care of the potatoes after you had pointed them out to them. We found it very confusing with four to five service staff and not even a full beer garden. Unfortunately not convinced...
