Wirtshaus Zum Salzsieder in Bad Salzuflen

Were there again today and it was great again. The waiting time was short, the main meal was great and the dessert was great too! We will stop by again for dinner!

We were there for the first time before Christmas and were very impressed with the food. We didn't have a reservation and, despite the full restaurant, we still got a quiet, comfortable seat at the counter. We had a starter and main course, a good wine recommendation and friendly service. And today we were there for the second time, but this time we ordered food to pick up. That was also very good. We'd love to come back.

We were in the beautiful restaurant for my 40th birthday. We and our two children really enjoyed the food. Especially the fried potatoes and fries were freshly prepared and super tasty!!! The service was very friendly and accommodating. The friendly waitress even lit a sparkler at our children's request and sang "Happy Birthday". That was really nice and very touching! We have never had such a lovely evening in the restaurant!!! Thank you very much again for that :-)

The food was exactly as expected. I had pink fried pork tenderloin and my wife had spaghetti.

Would like to eat something here. Unfortunately there were no vegan options. But the service was super nice and offered an alternative, but it wasn't really vegan. Still a nice place if you like meat

The salt boiler in Bad Salzuflen is convincing across the board! The beer is not only well chilled, but also of excellent quality - a pleasure for every beer lover. Particularly noteworthy is the Wiener Schnitzel, which comes fresh from the pan: crispy, tender and accompanied by an excellent lukewarm potato and cucumber salad, which tastes just perfect. The veal liver that my wife had was also a real highlight. It was fried until tender and served with creamy mashed potatoes, crisp apples and onions fried until golden brown - a harmonious combination that delighted us both. Added to this is the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant and the attentive service, which make the visit a complete success. Definitely worth a visit!

We were looking for a restaurant and then came across the inn. Called in advance and asked if there was room for 2 people on a Saturday evening. The lady was very nice and said something would be available soon and we drove there. The food was very tasty plus the starter. For me, this is a nice pub that suits my taste.

Robust restaurant, very nice and courteous service. Beautifully located in the old half-timbered building. As the name suggests, the food was good, but unfortunately a bit too fatty and salty, e.g. the fried potatoes. The prices are also rather steep, but the food is not necessarily creative or sophisticated. But if you like a solid, well-made schnitzel or similar fare, this is a good place for you.

All in all it was a lovely evening at the Wirtshaus. The dishes were generous and the drinks were ok. We were there on a Sunday evening and we had a lovely spot in the courtyard. Prices were absolutely fine and the service quite on the ball. Definitely a lovely place for dinner.

My rump steak had a lot of tendons that you couldn't bite. Everything else was fine.

A very successful evening, delicious food and drinks. Ambiance is good, centrally located in Bad Salzuflen. For parking, there are parking garages about 400 to 600 m away.

Great location, nice food. However, the customer service... Really bad! We had to wait forever for everything. When we had to leave in a hurry due to an emergency and we had forgotten the receipt in all the excitement, we called the boss who no longer wanted to send us the entertainment receipt. With the statement “they lost the receipt, not me”. Very bad! We urgently needed this for our accounting. We enjoyed being there. But such a service is not possible! Therefore, never again!

We were there today for my dad's birthday. We also mentioned this when we reserved a table over the phone. When we arrived the restaurant was moderately busy. We initially had a table outside. Since it got quite cool when the sun went away, we went to the restaurant. The service came very quickly and the food arrived quickly. Out of 4 people we had 3x the daily special rump steak with pepper sauce and fries. The taste was good, but 2 steaks were completely covered in tendons and that wasn't really tasty. My steak was cooked rather well-done instead of medium. When we pointed out the tendon problem to the waitress when she asked if everything was OK, the only excuse was that they couldn't look inside the steaks. Well, actually you can already see them in raw meat. We found that a bit poor as an apology. Especially since the price is not that cheap at almost €30. We would also have thought at least a happy birthday would have been nice. So the evening there was a bit disappointing.

Were here with two girls on a girls' weekend. Very tasty food, fresh and natural. We were told at the beginning that it could take a while, depending on what we ordered, as everything was freshly cooked. However, I didn't find the wait unreasonable. Very nice and open service, very tasty food. We can highly recommend it. A greeting goes to the kitchen: I'm usually not a big fan of pastries for dessert, but the Kaiserschmarren is delicious. Not too sweet, very fluffy, juicy. Thanks for a great stay.

At the end of the summer we went to the 'Zum Salzsieder' inn. Friendly service, the food was very tasty 😄 we can recommend the inn.

We were there in the summer and were able to sit in the beautiful beer garden. The service was very friendly, and the tarte flambée and tagliatelle with salmon and spinach were very tasty. The cellar beer and the homemade lemonade were also very good.

The restaurant is located in a half-timbered house on the Salze, just a few steps away from the spa gardens. We had lunch in the beer garden. Original tables, probably immovable. concrete. Zander and salmon with salted or diced potatoes, with a salad plate. Very delicious. The service was friendly and accommodating.

Sitzen grad noch hier, beim Getränke austrinken. ;-) Es war sehr lecker. Ich hatte einen Flammkuchen, mein Mann Bandnudeln mit Champignons und Schweinefiletstreifen. Würden wir näher wohnen, würden wir garantiert wiederkommen. Und auch der Service war persönlich und sehr nett, trotz „voller Hütte“. Daumen hoch!

We were here for lunch for the second time, it was very good and tasty. Price and performance are right. Last year we sat in the beer garden and this time we sat inside. The restaurant is not very large and a reservation would be advisable on weekends.

We visited the restaurant with nine people at 8 p.m. (five adults and four children). The table was pre-booked. The atmosphere is rustic. It took a while before we could order and then we waited about 50 minutes for the food. I.e. We ate around 9:30 p.m. When we asked in the meantime, we were told in a curt/unfriendly manner that the other guests had already been waiting for 1.5 hours. The food was ok but not special. The price level is rather high for the quality of the food. We are only guests in Bad Salzuflen for two days, but we wouldn't come again even if we stayed longer. Addendum: I cannot understand the comments from the Zum Salzsieder inn and I strongly reject them. I didn't raise my voice or behave aggressively towards the waitresses. I just asked when the food would come.

The prices are really steep, I had pork fillet with vegetables and diced potatoes. Vegetables tasteless, little sauce and there were no potato cubes, but 1/4 potatoes without spices. The prices for the starters and herbal lemonade are also pretty steep Was very disappointed!!!

We came across the restaurant on TripAdvisor and made a reservation later that day, which wasn't a problem. The restaurant makes a very cozy impression and is also suitable for groups. The dishes we ordered were sumptuous and delicious. The service was good, all in all a successful evening.

We visited the restaurant for the second time and were once again thrilled with the food and service. Whether meat or fish, the dishes not only look great, they also taste just as good. Cooked to perfection and lovingly prepared, in an ambience that skilfully combines rustic and modern elements. The service is attentive and warm, and even the not-so-small dog was perfectly welcomed and cared for. We'd love to come back again. 🫶

Fried potatoes that are more reminiscent of chips, a steak that doesn't justify the price of 28 € even in this day and age (too small, too thin, bad because it's cut unevenly, through on the edge, rather well done than medium...). My friend had a Wiener Schnitzel, which was more reminiscent of the sole of a shoe, with a breading not worthy of a Wiener Schnitzel. There is still a lot of room for improvement here, even if the service worked great.

Cozy restaurant, my partner had a tarte flambée which was probably very good. I had the huge burger which was very disappointing. First of all I was missing a decent sauce in the burger and I ordered extra bacon. I'm assuming this one is nicely fried, mine was brought in unfried (I've never seen that before and it wasn't exactly appetizing). All in all, I will never order the burger again. However, I don't want to rule out the possibility that the chef had a bad day.

Really everything is very, very good. Smart and competent service and great quality from the kitchen. Six of us had dinner on New Year's Day and we were all very satisfied. The Salzsieder is now always on our list when we are guests in Bad Salzuflen. Keep it up dear team

Restaurant wo man auch mit einem Hund hin gehen kann. Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Ambiente ist sehr schön in der Altstadt

Wir waren mit 15 Personen im Wirtshaus. Und jeder einzelne war mehr als zufrieden. Gutes Essen, nettes Ambiente und sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Servicepersonal.

Wir haben uns was anderes vorgestellt. Die Pasta schwamm leider in Sahnesauce. Ich habe sie nicht einmal aufgegessen und hatte trotzdem Magenschmerzen. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön.

Ein sehr schönes Lokal mit gutem Service und hervorragender Küche. Wir waren als Gruppe hier und trotz der vielen Leute klappte alles wunderbar. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, besonders das schon oft erwähnte Wienerschnitzel würde so auch in Wien als exzellent durchgehen. Beim Kartoffelsalat fehlte allerdings noch ein bisschen Feintuning aber das ist Geschmackssache. Ich komme sicher wieder wenn ich in der Gegend bin.

Das Restaurant besticht durch Altbau-Charme und hat eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Der Gastraum wurde liebvoll dekoriert, so dass man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist gut. Das Essen kam zügig, es gab keine lange Wartezeit. Sehr lecker, allerdings für mich persönlich einen Hauch zu süß, waren die hausgemachten Limonaden. Aber das ist eben Geschmackssache und schmälert meinen guten Eindruck des Betriebes keinesfalls. Ich bin zur Mittagszeit am Wochenende dort gewesen. NACHTRAG: Ich war mittlerweile ein zweites Mal dort und mein Eindruck wurde erneut bestätigt. Wirklich ein tolles Restaurant.

Tolles Essen, und noch tolleres Personal! Hier fühlt man sich wohl und geht mit einem Lächeln! Der Kaiserschmarn ist ein Traum!

Wir waren zum 2. mal im Wirtshaus zum Salzsieder. Beide Male haben wir sehr gut gegessen. Das Personal ist freundlich und auf „Zack“. Schönes Gasthaus. Gerne wieder!

Ich hab leider kein Foto, dafür war ich zu "verfressen". Es war einfach lecker und im idyllischen Garten neben dem alten Fachwerkhaus hat man einfach Lust und Spaß am Aufenthalt
