After a long time, I once again felt the need to have lunch with my family at Wirthaus Netzkater. Until now, I had always been surprised by the price-performance ratio and the friendliness of the staff. This time I was also surprised, although the price-performance ratio of the food had actually deteriorated. If you had to pay €17.80 for a Leberkäse with a fried egg, well-greased fried potatoes and a neutral salad, I was surprised. When I went up When I discovered a hygiene flat rate of €0.50 on the bill (unfortunately only afterwards) I was reminded of motorway service stations. You can imagine how much money came together for 4 people, not for a 3-course menu, but for a completely normal lunch . This trip will not be repeated anytime soon, I think it can be done better elsewhere, unfortunately.

I've only been there twice during my day tour🏍🏍🏍 but what I can say or write is that the new owners are really putting a lot of effort into making the space upright for bikers. The bratwurst in the bun tastes really delicious. I always enjoy going there

Not again !! We recently visited the Netzkater again after about 4 years to see what's going on now. One meal was huy and the other was yucky. Anyone who talks about fresh food has never seen fresh food. Everything from the can. Once fish and once roast beef. According to the statement, the fish was OK. The Rostbrätel was a lump of gristle. Since I was hungry and didn't want to ruin my day, I ate the greasy fried potatoes and the canned cabbage. When asked about the sausage meat: “They’re just mixed.” I know Rostbrätel, I said. To compensate, have a coffee or a small soft ice cream. Then I thought, don't get upset today. I just swallowed it. Hence 1 star for service. If they had asked for half the price I wouldn't have said anything, but you can safely call it out of cheek. We won't stop there again. But maybe the cook was sick or we were at the wrong time.

This wasn't the first time we've been to this traditional restaurant, we were well looked after and had a good lunch. To our surprise, we were allowed to pay a hygiene fee for something that shouldn't really be given any attention.

We stopped by this beautiful inn on a Saturday evening and had a delicious meal. Despite the lack of staff, which we were told directly, we were able to enjoy fast and friendly service. We sat outside this charming log cabin and enjoyed the nature around us. Both the cheese spaetzle and the currywurst we ordered were delicious. We would visit the Wirtshaus zum Netzkater again if we had the opportunity.

We always like to stop here after our excursions. In this family-run inn you will receive friendly service and the home-style brewery cuisine tastes great and fits in perfectly with the ambience. The price-performance ratio is completely fine and the quality overall is very reliable. We'd love to come back.

The half crispy duck was very 👍 the meat almost fell off the bone and the skin was crispy. PERFECT 🤤

They are currently being renovated, so at the moment it is only a temporary solution.

Really a nice, rustic place to really arrive in the Harz Mountains. Everything is fresh and homemade, you feel good. Lots of bikers, but nice guys 🍻🤟. Simply an experience. Food is always good to very good!

Food very good. At first we had concerns because our daughter is vegetarian; there was only an excerpt of the menu on the website, which gave little prospect of vegetarian options. We were surprised by the reality, there was a good selection of entirely vegetarian and fish dishes. Note to the operator: feel free to put this on the website, otherwise it's more of a deterrent. Service was great, fast, friendly, open with spontaneous recommendations and a bit of small talk. The heavy motorcycle traffic can be a bit annoying for some people, especially on weekends. Nothing against bikers, I'm one myself, but the fairly high proportion of open roaring pipes may take away some of the enjoyment for some guests. It's a popular biker rest stop.

It's a very nice restaurant. When we went on a trip to the Harz, we often stopped there and had a delicious meal. The service is very good and the ambience is very nice. We will always come back.

04.05.24 I was here today, at the Netzkater inn, for the North Thuringia Police Prevention Day. Everything was well organized and lots of nice people did the honors.

We felt completely comfortable. Very nice service/reception. We both had schnitzel (very good) We were served quickly. Price/performance absolutely harmonious. Therefore 5 stars

I just sat outside, except for the noisy motorbikes. very pleasant. Food was reasonable and reasonably priced (2x adults + 1x child, just under €60). Very friendly. Service.

Was here for the first time in 2019 because my brother had already sent great photos of Netzkater. Four of us came on Sunday at lunchtime without a reservation. We were lucky and only had to wait 2 minutes for a free table. The service overall was nice and attentive. The normal waiting time for the food corresponded to the good quality. Grated Thuringian dumplings and extremely tender meat, whether roulades or game goulash. It was a feast for the taste buds. I can also recommend the Forelle Müllerin. We love coming back here again and again. We have been here more often now and have enjoyed some delicacies. Thanks.

We each ate a very tasty trout. The salad was fresh and crunchy, the fish was cooked to perfection, the boiled potatoes were freshly cooked golden yellow, the butter was clarified - just good. Everything was served quickly and very friendly. We'll be back soon and definitely recommend giving the "Netzkater" a try.

Great restaurant for excursions or definitely nice for a celebration. Furnished with attention to detail. Also good for sitting outside in summer. And electric cars can be charged across the street.

Currywurst und Pommes: die Wurst war säuerlich und die Soße war wässrig und hatte nichts mit einer leckeren Currysoße zu tun. Für meinen Sohn Nuggets mit Pommes: die Nuggets blieben auf dem Teller, die haben absolut nicht geschmeckt. Für Gerichte bei denen alles nur aufgewärmt wird, ist es wirklich traurig. Die Sülze ging. War aber auch nicht das was man erwartet. Nicht Nochmal. Die Bedienung jedoch war freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Rustikales Essen in Urigem Ambiente.

Erst einmal vorweg, als wir das Wirtshaus betreten hatten kam der WOW EFFEKT 😳 eine super schöne Lokalität. Sehr gemütlich und kuschelig warm. Ich hatte das Wildgulasch was sehr schmackhaft war 👌🏼auf alle Fälle kommen wir wieder, wenn wir unsere nächste Runde durch den Harz machen.

Sehr schöne weihnachtliche Wohlfühldeko, wunderbar schmackhafter Glühwein, Essen schmackhaft und sehr großzügige Portionen plus freundliche Bedienung- was will man mehr!!

Wir hatten uns auf Grund von positiven Bewertungen für dieses Restaurant entschieden, kann diese im Nachhinein nicht teilen, die Preis-Leistung für die gebotenen Speisen passen überhaupt nicht, Altdeutsche Rinderroulade, der Klassiker mit Apfelrotkohl und Thüringer Klößen, für über 20 € die Portion bestellt, die Roulade fest und sehr strohig, kaum Füllung, sehr klein, der Rotkohl ohne Geschmack, dazu noch zwei kleine Klöße, im Vergleich, wie Kantinen Verpflegung für 5 Euro. Nichts zum satt werden. Einmal und nicht wieder dieses Restaurant.

Waren heute spontan zum essen dort, nettes Personal, schöne deutsche Küche, faire Preise. Gerne wieder!

Vor 2 Jahren waren wir hier, das Essen war Spitze. Heute das allerletzte. Das Fleisch ein kleines Stück und der Kloß matschig. Die Suppe mit kaum Inhalt und geschmacklich naja. Schade.

Ich kenne das Alte Lokal aus der DDR dieses hatte viel Charm. In diesen Still finde ich es gemütlich von außen sieht es größer aus als es im Inneren ist.

Wir waren zu viert dort. Ich hatte die halbe Ente mit Rotkohl und Klöße. War schon sehr lecker. Heiß, knusprig und saftig. Meine Begleiter waren ebenfalls zufrieden, hatten Ochsenbäckchen und anderes. Bitte weiter so!!! Sanitär sehr sauber.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und hatten nur eine Suppe. Die war aber sehr lecker. Das Ambiente ist toll und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.

Es war ein sehr schöner Ausflug dorthin, durfte ohne Probleme die Hunde mit aufs Gelände nehmen nur nicht in den Kyffhäuser selbst, was ja auch verständlich ist. Aber die Stufen waren schon eine enorme Herausforderung, aber die Architektur war einmalig mit der Aussicht. Gerne wieder 😃

Sehr gutes Essen bei freundlicher Bedienung. Bei entsprechendem Wetter ist der Biergarten sehr zu empfehlen.

Waren nach dem Besuch im Rabensteiner Stollen hier zum Essen eingekehrt. Der Service war sehr schnell, freundlich und nett. Das Essen war gut und auch reichlich. Preislich sicher im oberen Bereich aber im Limit, der exponierten Lage entsprechend. Gerne wieder.

Ich habe bei dem Blick in die Karte große Augen bekommen, wenn ich nicht so einen Appetit gehabt hätte wäre ich weiter gefahren ! Für eine Riesen Currywurst ( normale Größe ) 15,80 € zu verlangen ist mehr als frech ! Einmal und nicht wieder ! Für die gleiche Currywurst zahle ich in Goslar 8,50 €

We kwam dit restaurant tegen tijdens een rondrit door de Harz. Heerlijk gegeten, vriendelijk personeel en leuke atmosfeer. Zeker een aanrader.

Absolut top in jeder Hinsicht. Von Anfang bis Ende haben wir uns hier wohl gefühlt. Bedienung super freundlich, auf unseren Hund Rücksicht nehmend gleich einen Platz am Kamin empfohlen bekommen, wo unser Hund etwas Platz hatte und sich hinlegen konnte. Ambiente sehr schön, Essen super lecker, also wir sind begeistert und werden definitiv wieder kommen.

Leuke typisch Duitse sfeer met gezellige bediening. De "reuze" curry worst deed zijn naam eer aan. De schotel, met pommes und salat was hoofdzakelijk pommes met een schepje zuurkool, kon iets meer aangekleed voor de prijs van 14,50.
