Super tasty, cozy and nice staff.

I wasn't in the inn but at the snack bar opposite.

I have taken back my good rating from 5 years ago. Price-performance doesn't match at all anymore. It has nothing to do with the art of cooking anymore. As a guest you are charged because the waiter wants to go home, I've never experienced that before

Went there specifically to eat. Then a sign outside says “Closed today from 6 p.m.” That’s not possible. And that for Sunday. Not recommended!

Very nicely located... a relatively large house in a rustic style. You can sit inside or outside when the weather is nice. The menu is clear but the food was very good. I think the prices are quite ok for the excursion region. Everything went quickly and the staff was friendly too.

I was in the inn with my children and my husband... great cozy atmosphere and very nice service😊 Only the prices were hefty... we found €16.50 for 2 pieces of cake and two coffees a little too much.. .Our girls didn't want to eat anything, they were still full from the hiking snacks...

Quaint restaurant, we only ate cake and ice cream, it was very tasty, and special requests for ice cream were also happy to be fulfilled.

Since I had a bad stomach upset at the snack bar across the street years ago, I stopped here this time. The atmosphere is very cozy, but unfortunately there are no small snacks on the menu, just very expensive whole dishes. So instead of the planned simple Thuringian grilled sausage, we ordered a late, full lunch. The supposedly typical Thuringian beef roulade with dumplings wasn't really warm, tasted bland and left an unpleasant aftertaste throughout the afternoon, which only disappeared when I got a really good typical Thuringian dish in an upscale restaurant in the evening (for just a little more money). Damage for a lot of money and never again!

Quite an excellent place and ok food but the waiter was a bit grumpy but the building itself was fine. But their food is very expensive...

I came across this restaurant after the wonderful "motorcycle route", 5 stars without exception. I'll be back in the off-season. Had a farmer's salad, just great, not for a small appetite, but the price already says that 😬 and super nice service 👌🏼

Oh guys, that was a failure! I would have liked to order smoked Harz brook trout with fried potatoes for lunch today, € 20.80 something like that - there were no smoked trout, only as a miller with boiled potatoes for € 22.80 something like that, ok, then those! Possible with fried potatoes, yes of course!!! Two small trout arrived, with fried potatoes and a carelessly draped salad with 3 splashes of balsamic cream (nothing else)...everything on a plate, butter melted as usual at "Müllerin" and offered on the menu, didn't come! So it wasn't a "Müllerin" but trout, probably in this size from the discounter for 4/5 €... it wasn't possible to complain, the waiter didn't look, complain inside, fish was only lukewarm anyway, not seasoned at all, so very, very mediocre! Then came the hammer: the invoice amount for 2 of these poor fish, 1 glass of water, 1 glass of cola and a wine spritzer € 65.30, initially without a receipt!!!... I misplaced it and had to get it from inside!!!. The receipt showed 2x "Müllerin" plus plus €2.50 each for fried potatoes... I complained to a blonde lady (landlady?), was told about additional costs for fried potatoes, I pointed out that it wasn't "Müllerin-style", so 2x none Butter, no boiled potatoes and no mention of additional costs in the menu *even the waiter doesn't know about it*...ultimately I got the 5 € back with stupid comments!!! Oh well, the lady kept checking her toilet between bringing food to the table without washing her hands...oh horror!!! The ambience inside was nice though...

Great restaurant with very good service.

The nice ambience distracts from the bad food. We're still groaning after it, six hours later! Were on the way home and were hungry so stopped there. (Looked good) The service staff was slightly confused, spritzer instead of juice and a latte macchiato that was ordered came as a cappuccino. Well, not bad, we thought at first. The food arrived after 10 minutes, roast and game goulash. Everything ready-made and nothing fresh or homemade. Hunger drives it in, it's a shame we won't be coming back. Having to pay €70 for it and eating it all evening because it's like a stone in my stomach. Pooh!

We went on a trip there with 5 bikers. The parking lot was moderately full, but there were only two people there to serve us. The waiting time was correspondingly long. In any case, the pea soup was great.

Was here for the first time in 2019 because my brother had already sent great photos of Netzkater. Four of us came on Sunday at lunchtime without a reservation. We were lucky and only had to wait 2 minutes for a free table. The service overall was nice and attentive. The normal waiting time for the food corresponded to the good quality. Grated Thuringian dumplings and extremely tender meat, whether roulades or game goulash. It was a feast for the taste buds. I can also recommend the Forelle Müllerin. We love coming back here again and again. We have been here more often now and have enjoyed some delicacies. Thanks.

This is where the common biker gets really ripped off, there are still so many stopping, unfortunately!! Stinky ashtrays on the tables, menu very simple and clear. The prices are completely excessive. We just kept driving.

Nice place in the middle of the forest that invites you to rest. Sausage and other snack treats are available to buy alongside all sorts of drinks. And of course to marvel at motorcycles.

After a long time, I once again felt the need to have lunch with my family at Wirthaus Netzkater. Until now, I had always been surprised by the price-performance ratio and the friendliness of the staff. This time I was also surprised, although the price-performance ratio of the food had actually deteriorated. If you had to pay €17.80 for a Leberkäse with a fried egg, well-greased fried potatoes and a neutral salad, I was surprised. When I went up When I discovered a hygiene flat rate of €0.50 on the bill (unfortunately only afterwards) I was reminded of motorway service stations. You can imagine how much money came together for 4 people, not for a 3-course menu, but for a completely normal lunch . This trip will not be repeated anytime soon, I think it can be done better elsewhere, unfortunately.

I've only been there twice during my day tour🏍🏍🏍 but what I can say or write is that the new owners are really putting a lot of effort into making the space upright for bikers. The bratwurst in the bun tastes really delicious. I always enjoy going there

Not again !! We recently visited the Netzkater again after about 4 years to see what's going on now. One meal was huy and the other was yucky. Anyone who talks about fresh food has never seen fresh food. Everything from the can. Once fish and once roast beef. According to the statement, the fish was OK. The Rostbrätel was a lump of gristle. Since I was hungry and didn't want to ruin my day, I ate the greasy fried potatoes and the canned cabbage. When asked about the sausage meat: “They’re just mixed.” I know Rostbrätel, I said. To compensate, have a coffee or a small soft ice cream. Then I thought, don't get upset today. I just swallowed it. Hence 1 star for service. If they had asked for half the price I wouldn't have said anything, but you can safely call it out of cheek. We won't stop there again. But maybe the cook was sick or we were at the wrong time.

This wasn't the first time we've been to this traditional restaurant, we were well looked after and had a good lunch. To our surprise, we were allowed to pay a hygiene fee for something that shouldn't really be given any attention.

We stopped by this beautiful inn on a Saturday evening and had a delicious meal. Despite the lack of staff, which we were told directly, we were able to enjoy fast and friendly service. We sat outside this charming log cabin and enjoyed the nature around us. Both the cheese spaetzle and the currywurst we ordered were delicious. We would visit the Wirtshaus zum Netzkater again if we had the opportunity.

We always like to stop here after our excursions. In this family-run inn you will receive friendly service and the home-style brewery cuisine tastes great and fits in perfectly with the ambience. The price-performance ratio is completely fine and the quality overall is very reliable. We'd love to come back.

The half crispy duck was very 👍 the meat almost fell off the bone and the skin was crispy. PERFECT 🤤

Really a nice, rustic place to really arrive in the Harz Mountains. Everything is fresh and homemade, you feel good. Lots of bikers, but nice guys 🍻🤟. Simply an experience. Food is always good to very good!

Delicious food, friendly and nice service

Food very good. At first we had concerns because our daughter is vegetarian; there was only an excerpt of the menu on the website, which gave little prospect of vegetarian options. We were surprised by the reality, there was a good selection of entirely vegetarian and fish dishes. Note to the operator: feel free to put this on the website, otherwise it's more of a deterrent. Service was great, fast, friendly, open with spontaneous recommendations and a bit of small talk. The heavy motorcycle traffic can be a bit annoying for some people, especially on weekends. Nothing against bikers, I'm one myself, but the fairly high proportion of open roaring pipes may take away some of the enjoyment for some guests. It's a popular biker rest stop.

It's a very nice restaurant. When we went on a trip to the Harz, we often stopped there and had a delicious meal. The service is very good and the ambience is very nice. We will always come back.

04.05.24 I was here today, at the Netzkater inn, for the North Thuringia Police Prevention Day. Everything was well organized and lots of nice people did the honors.

I just sat outside, except for the noisy motorbikes. very pleasant. Food was reasonable and reasonably priced (2x adults + 1x child, just under €60). Very friendly. Service.

We each ate a very tasty trout. The salad was fresh and crunchy, the fish was cooked to perfection, the boiled potatoes were freshly cooked golden yellow, the butter was clarified - just good. Everything was served quickly and very friendly. We'll be back soon and definitely recommend giving the "Netzkater" a try.
