One of the best restaurants I've been to. What should be highlighted is the very varied selection of vegan dishes, which also impresses passionate meat eaters. Because: it is super tasty and fits in very well with the menu. The service is fantastic and so is the ambience. Both inside and outside in the courtyard.

Good middle-class restaurant. Reservation is better. You will be rewarded with good food.

On Sunday, February 2nd, my wife and I enjoyed the most delicious meals we have had in a very long time! The food looked really nice, tasted really good and the portions were just right! Service was also great, but I didn't check the name.

We went here for dinner last night - on the recommendation of our hotel. A very nice meal and a great ambience! We were very happy that we were able to get a table. We had the veal schnitzel with potato salad and the sauerbraten. Both were excellent. Absolutely reasonable portions and everything was very tasty. Before we started, we toasted with the house aperitif - also very tasty. We were very impressed with the pleasant service. Conclusion: We would definitely come back!

My 2 star rating refers exclusively to the grill plate shown that I ate there. And that was by far the worst I've ever had. Three loveless pieces of meat and this little mini deep fryer with fries. That was all. Maybe the chef should get some inspiration from the internet and find out what belongs on a grill plate. In addition to the meat, for example: Djuvec rice Grilled vegetables Onions Ajvar, tzatziki or garlic dip and much more. Maybe just type grill plates into Google and look at the pictures. And paying 26€ for that is already audacious. By the way the service was very good. Update to your answer: I have eaten grilled dishes in many restaurants. Both at Croatians, Greeks, Italians and also in German restaurants. Everywhere there was at least onions, some grilled vegetables or a dip. I assure you that it will be even better received.

We were there for lunch on January 6, 2025. There was already a place specially prepared for our grandchild with painting supplies, so we immediately felt welcome. The staff were all very friendly as was the food and service super. We would love to come back here.

We actually like going to Fegerer and it actually always tastes good - but today, especially at Christmas, it was really OK, SO SO LALA at best. First of all, the service was friendly, the red cabbage was delicious, but neither the roast pork nor the sauerbraten were seasoned. Salt and pepper were completely forgotten. The vegan dish is too salty. Dumplings from the pack, gnocchi from the pack... and for the holiday, not nice. When the waitress asked about it, they promised a dessert or at least a coffee, but that didn't come either. According to the chef, we were "the only ones who complained" - perhaps that's why there was no "compensation" in the end. The goose at the neighboring table (for over 40 euros!) was returned twice... Cold in the cellar, all in all not a nice evening. Too bad.

We have been there many times for various matters. It was always very pleasant to be there. The food tastes good, the service staff can advise on wines and everything goes quickly. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to go for something more upscale.

We had a Christmas party in the basement and it was the coldest party ever. Very very very cold from 6pm to 8.30pm. Then the cellar slowly heated up. The room was full and that's why it was so loud. Not a place to feel comfortable. Hats off to the service team, up and down these stairs 50 times or more. The food was good. Unfortunately, I had flatulence quickly after eating. The chef can't do anything about it, which was probably due to the sauce. (Probably milk/lactose)

What a great inn in Aschaffenburg. Great service! The staff were very attentive and fulfilled our every wish. Despite all the stress, still with a smile and always fun. The food was delicious and came to the tables very quickly despite our large group. A big compliment to the kitchen here! Gladly again and highly recommended!

Unfortunately the seating in the next room was cramped, otherwise everything is nice.

We have been regular guests at the Wirthaus zum Fegerer for over 15 years. Here you can get real Franconian cuisine with fresh and regional ingredients at a fair price. When we go shopping from Frankfurt to Wertheim Village on the weekend, a visit to Fegerer on the way back is a must - but without a reservation weeks in advance, nothing works on a Saturday evening. The classics have been the same for years - we particularly recommend the Viennese veal schnitzel and the turkey medallions with spaetzle. Special requests such as other side dishes or serving sauce separately were always taken into account. The staff is always attentive. The only point of criticism: On our last visit we had a place near the counter/kitchen, there was a strong draft 🥶 and the phone was constantly ringing.

It was more of a chance visit and we would call it a lucky break. When we were looking for a restaurant with lunch, Google didn't even show it to us. We then went in and were completely surprised at how charming it was inside. It's a bit cramped and one less table in the room would be nice, but we found space with our stroller and a high chair was brought to us directly. Let's get to the food: it was an absolute delight. We can't say it any other way, it was just great! Unfortunately, such small gems are now far too rare. But that's exactly what I want when I go out to eat; a meal that I can't do any better at home. There is also a changing table, but everything is very cramped.

Good food is not just about being tasty, but also about the experience surrounding it. That means service, friendliness and ambience. There were five of us, we all ordered one of the daily recommendations (half duck, venison schnitzel) that was offered by the friendly, attentive waiter and we were very, very satisfied. Great food, attentive service in beautiful rooms (we sat in a side room with two larger and three smaller tables). Cleanliness impeccable. Clear recommendation!

We had a great evening there. Starters and main courses were great and there were many vegan dishes but also excellent schnitzels. The venison schnitzel in nut breading has a poem. Pinot Gris goes well with this. We are thrilled. Both in terms of service and the range of food and drinks. Cheers!

Why does the sauce for the steak cost extra (>3 euros)? And then it doesn't even taste good. Steak was okay without being special. The mussels as a starter were also okay, but they were ready pretty quickly, which makes me personally skeptical. Price around 70 euros...you can, but you don't have to.

Very good food and very nice service

Despite arriving late, we were still offered a table. The place was busy because of a big event, but the staff was still super nice and very quick. The food was really good and the location in a quiet side street in the old town was ideal. Highly recommended.

Traditional inn with very nice furnishings, which has carefully adapted to modern times without giving up the well-known charm of such restaurants. Staff was very good and committed. Food came quickly. We ordered vegan. We liked that vegan was clearly marked on the menu and that the staff said again when serving the food that it was the vegan version of the dish (so that as a guest you don't have to look to see if there was a mix-up in the kitchen, which sometimes happens may be the case in other places). We'd love to come back.

Particularly noteworthy: the in-house, freshly filtered water, which is served in an environmentally conscious and CO2-neutral manner. The first time we visited this restaurant. Luckily, we got there early without a reservation. So we got a place outside. The loving environment was immediately noticeable, which was underlined by the friendly and competent service staff. And then came the food... It was simply outstanding!!! Seldom eaten so deliciously, and sustainability and regional products were supported. We will look back on this evening with joy for a long time. A huge shout out to Team 002 between 6 and 7:20 p.m., table 54. The lady made the whole thing a real experience!

We went to Fegerer for lunch for the second time today, we had made reservations both times, and both times we were able to enjoy the beautiful weather with a view of the Mother of God Church. The service was very good, we received a very friendly welcome, drinks were brought very quickly. The homemade lemonade was delicious with lemon and fresh mint. The drinks menu was very large and varied, there is a large wine list with details of the winemakers. If you would rather drink a liqueur or brandy/spirit after your meal instead of the usual espresso, you can get it from distilleries in the region. I'm very picky when it comes to food; it's usually the most expensive dishes on the menu. I was all the more surprised that I found what I was looking for at lunch both times; today it was the fish creation with lobster cream sauce and tagliatelle. And anyone who now thinks that lunch and then relatively cheap can't be anything will be convinced of the opposite: three different types of fish - definitely not from the freezer - very tasty sauce and enough tagliatelle, everything was very plentiful, so unfortunately again No more dessert could fit in. All in all it was very nice here, service, food, drinks, everything was perfect. We'll definitely be back soon, it's a shame for the many other restaurants...

Yesterday at noon we went to "Fegerer" for the first time on the recommendation of someone from Aschaffenburg - it was a very good recommendation! The food from the lunch menu was excellent, the service was attentive and unobtrusive, and the beer garden behind the house was very cozy. We can recommend the "Fegerer" without reservation - and: we'll be back!!!

I can really recommend the Wirtshaus Zum Federer to everyone. From the food to the service to the ambience, there is nothing to complain about. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely reasonable.

The food was really great! It tasted very good and was also beautifully presented. The portions were also plentiful. The prices are a bit high, but I'm happy to pay that if I get good quality for it. The staff was very nice, friendly and open to jokes. Vegans also get a great selection of dishes here. We'll definitely come back. It is strongly recommended to pre-order.

Great food, attentive staff and a visually appealing vaulted cellar. Starters, main courses, desserts, appetizers, liqueurs, schnapps and wines are described in an informative menu. The meat is cooked to perfection and the steak fries are crispy. The salad wasn't fridge cold, but was at room temperature and had a pleasant dressing (not too sour, but it's a matter of taste). The white wine and the homemade lemonade are well chilled and the red wines are at the correct temperature. The chocolate tart was freshly baked and the strawberry tiramisu was not overly sweet. And all of this was done in an extremely pleasing way to the eye Served in one course at a time to all guests at the table. We didn't discover any ventilation shafts in the vaulted cellar and perhaps none are allowed for monument protection reasons. Or they are structurally so well integrated that they are no longer easy to recognize. To us, the air in the basement seemed a bit stale or stagnant for a long time (this is a subjective impression without CO2 measurement). But that is also the only slightly dampening factor for an overall great and, in the truest sense of the word, inexpensive visit to a restaurant. The performance of the service staff, who always have to take the stairs to access the vaulted cellar, was impressive. This adds up quite a bit over a long evening and takes its toll on the leg muscles. Hats off! We'd love to come back.

Great restaurant in a cozy atmosphere with an extremely appetizing menu and excellent wine selection. There is also a varied weekly lunch menu, with something for every taste. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and attentive. All in all very recommendable!

Mushroom soup was really good. Then we ate lamb tenderloin. The cooking rate of the lamb was superb. The service was successful compared to Germany in general.

Wir waren am 7. Mai zu einer privaten Feier mit 7 Personen in diesem Lokal. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend. Nach einem kurzen Augenblick bekamen wir bereits die Speisenkarte. Kurz darauf wurden die Getränke notiert, welche wir von der freundlichen Bedienung auch kurze Zeit später erhielten. Die sieben bestellten Gerichte waren alle sehr lecker und auch sehr schön angerichtet. Hierher kommt man sehr gerne wieder

We were just standing outside in front of the daily menu and found a meal that we liked. When we entered the inn, which advertises its Franconian "HOSPITALITY", we were told that we would only get something to eat if we had reserved in advance. (All tables outside were free) You have to know, and a day ticket really makes sense.

Very tasty and rich dishes, beautifully prepared and served by friendly service. There are many offers marked as “vegan” on the menu, in addition to the classic highlights. The restaurant is definitely suitable for vegetarians, but also for anyone else who would like to eat well and in a nice atmosphere. In any case, a table should be reserved - we don't seem to be the only ones who enjoyed it.

Closing down the trip we stopped in Aschaffenburg for dinner and found this place. The host and staff were very kind. Most German places will want a reservation (you can make one online) for dinner but we were a walk in on Thursday. Food was great, as were drinks and sides. The host bid us well and said see you soon—I’m in CA and my friend is from SG so while it won’t be soon, I look forward to going back there on a next-visit. Worth a visit!

We had made reservations for a big birthday party. We came in with a small dog and 9 people and some of us were immediately told in an unfriendly tone that: “Dogs are an absolute no-go here and are not allowed at all”. I wasn't even given the time to inform the group in peace, because the "nice" service employee came running right after us and said in a stern tone that dogs are expressly not allowed here. We were put in an extremely unpleasant situation and then tried to find a more dog-friendly alternative as quickly as possible. Even if the other service staff tried to defuse the situation, we will not set foot in this restaurant again. In retrospect we were glad that it happened that way, the ambience and atmosphere were stuffy and old-fashioned.

Very good selection of vegan dishes

Even though there was nothing wrong with the food, ambience and service, we probably won't be coming back. Of course, every host has the right to apply their own house rules, but we cannot understand why we were not allowed in as a family party of eight with a small dog despite the rain and wheelchairs, as dogs are forbidden. After all, it is an inn (official name) and there are tiled floors everywhere…

Auch wenn es an dem Essen und Ambiente und Service nichts auszusetzen gab, werden wir wohl nicht wiederkommen. Natürlich hat jeder Wirt das Recht sein eigenes Hausrecht anzuwenden, warum wir aber mit kleinem Hund als achtköpfige Familienfeier trotz Regen und Rollstuhl nicht eingelassen wurden, da Hunde verboten sind können wir nicht nachvollziehen. Schließlich handelt es sich um ein Wirtshaus (offizielle Bezeichnung) und es ist überall Fliesenboden…

Service excellence und einzigartige kulinarische Kompositionen im urigen und stilvollen Ambiente. Das Restaurant war noch geschlossen, ich hatte nicht reserviert. Ein Zuruf durchs Fenster und ich erhielt einen tollen Platz, ein aussergewöhnlich zartes Lammfilet mit Datteln und Gewürzen und immerzu die volle Aufmerksamkeit. Hier passt einfach alles.

Unfortunately the overall package didn't fit. The service staff speaks loudly and privately about things that guests shouldn't hear. For example, about the dishwashing staff coming later, hoping that it wouldn't be that one particular person. The potato couldn't come out that way, it would be "disgusting" brown. Maybe it was because the boss wasn't there, something that was discussed loudly. The roast pork was partly very tough and there was no longer any demand for drinks. Unfortunately, the beautiful atmosphere doesn't outweigh the negative events, which is actually a real shame!

We were there for dinner with a large part of the family. We had a great long table by the window. Service: the service was top. Right from the start she was super friendly (but not fake), very personable and was able to answer our questions. She laughed with us and didn't stress us out while making the decision. Food: The selection is very good. Lots of vegetarian and vegan dishes, good meat dishes. You can also read where the meat and other food supplements come from. Price: the prices are totally reasonable considering the quality of the food. But you should just be prepared that the evening will cost a little more than at the Italian restaurant in the village. Children: there was a high chair for the smallest of us. But then she preferred to sit on the bench. There was a children's menu with 5 or 6 dishes. Our little mouse was also able to color the card directly with the colored pencils (various animal motifs). The size of the children's portion was as much to more than the adult portion. She had cheese spaetzle with salad for €6.50. They didn't even grab 1/8 of the spaetzle. The rest was packed up and served for lunch. There is also a changing table for small children, which is always practical ;). Each of us enjoyed it. And just because of the friendly, friendly service, I would go there again. But with a good meal and a delicious wine, an evening can of course be spent even better :)

Mein Freund und ich waren beim Tierarzt in Kleinostheim. Und sind dann nach Aschaffenburg zum Mittag rüber gefahren (8km).Wir hatten großes Glück, das die nette Dame vom Tresen noch was frei hatte. Nach 10 min Wartezeit, bekamen wir einen Tisch zu gewiesen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Speisen waren heiß und frisch zubereitet. Der Service und das Preisleistungsverhältnis waren einwandfrei. Wir kommen gerne wieder zu Ihnen.
