Service was great, schnitzel was crispy and the ambience in the open-air museum did the rest. At most, the fried potatoes could have been crispier, but that's so close that it remains 5 stars.

Very nice restaurant in the Hessenpark open-air museum. The food is very tasty and the service is also friendly. A visit is worth it.

Full marks with full conviction. There is nothing, really nothing, to complain about here. Our stay as part of a family celebration contributed to a wonderful day that I will not forget.

Very good restaurant for a restaurant in a museum. Clear menu, friendly service, very nice atmosphere. The 2 roulades turned out to be rather small, but tasted excellent. The dumplings are more of a convenience product for commercial kitchens, but the red cabbage is again very good. The price is about what I usually pay here in Munich, so a bit over the top for Neu-Anspach. Beer from Licher is probably mandatory, but otherwise of course completely out of the question for beer connoisseurs. Nevertheless, the only small point of criticism: price/performance doesn't quite match.

It's really nice to sit in and the service is friendly. However, I had the saddest salad for a whopping €12.90. There is a small carrot and some radish hidden under the ready-to-pick lettuce from the supermarket freezer. There was a quarter of an unripe tomato and at least a slice of cucumber. A sunflower seed could be spotted from us. Here you probably pay the price for the beautiful view of the Hessenpark. But the apple spritzer is great!

Go for a delicious meal right on the Hessenpark market square - you can do it at the Wirtshaus Zum Adler. Hearty & regional dishes that are served in a friendly manner. The ambience? - inside and outside, just great. And: the price-performance ratio is also absolutely fine.

Einrichtung ist ganz ok. Bedienung ist zwar nicht unfreundlich jedoch das Engagement lässt zu wünschen übrig. Hier fühlt man sich leider nicht wirklich sehr wohl. Das Essen ist ok.aber auch hier ist das Preis Leistung Verhältnis nicht gut. Des Weiteren hätte ich mir bei den Preisen zu einem Schnitzel auch einen kleinen Salat gewünscht was meistens schon " STANDART" ist. Mich würde es hier nicht wieder hinlocken. Sehr schade😪

Food, service and ambience was very good. We were with the FeG Dautphetal with the bus companywege with c. 40 PEOPLE with them. Everyone was very satisfied.

Unfortunately we didn't get to order because we left beforehand. We regularly visit the Hessenpark and have enjoyed eating at the Wirtshaus zum Adler. Til today. We had our 11-month-old baby with us and asked the waitress to heat up a baby porridge for us. This was refused to us after consultation in the kitchen. This has never happened to us anywhere. We are very shocked by the child-unfriendliness.

A dignified atmosphere in a well-kept ambience.

We were there with a group of people for our silver wedding anniversary in May for lunch and coffee in a separate event room. We really enjoyed the service, the food and the ambience. Food a la carte was great. Afterwards, our guests with small children were able to visit the Hessenpark. The kids enjoyed the playground. We went back for coffee. Here too a la carte. The waiter was very attentive and nothing was missing. Many thanks to the team and the excellent cuisine. We had a great and very family day. We can only recommend the inn. Very tasty, the price was right, good service, the food came quickly and a nice location including a beer garden.

Well eaten, once excellent schnitzel with green sauce, fried potatoes and very tender beef roulades (really very, very soft) with salad instead of apple red cabbage and small dumplings. The only drawback was that the butter crumbs were slightly cool and a bit mushy. It still tasted 😊

We ate there privately, both for lunch and brunch. Far from the usual restaurants, food is a welcome and delicious change in a wonderful ambience. Tip: If you just want to go to the market square, i.e. "to the Adler", you can do so on normal days without paying an entrance fee. I also work as an external service provider and can highly recommend working with Hessenpark Gastronomy. Friendly communication at eye level and joint planning went well. Thanks for that!

Das Restaurant befindet sich im wunderschönen Hessenpark, direkt am Marktplatz. Das hessische Essen ist sehr lecker, die Bedienungen durchweg freundlich, zuvorkommend und humorvoll. Die Preise sind angemessen. Obwohl es zur Mittagszeit reichlich besucht war, kam das Essen doch zügig und ohne lange Wartezeit. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können es weiterempfehlen.

For a restaurant in a museum it is really recommended. The menu is not overly crowded, there is regional food, some organic, so you can expect good quality. The food is delicious and fresh. However, you should reserve in advance or be there on time to get a seat. I personally find some dishes, like the chicken breast salad, a bit overpriced for the (small) portion, but overall everything is ok, hence 4 stars. The ambience is also pleasant and the service is well organized, even when it is busy.

Super nice service, the menu consists of seemingly simple, home-style dishes, but they are prepared and served in a sophisticated and creative way. And the ambience is fantastically beautiful! If you like it rustic, traditional and cozy and love Hessian cuisine, you should just try it out.

I had lunch at the “Wirtshaus zum Adler” with a privately organized tour group (coach 55 people). Very accommodating from the booking in advance to the stay on site - everything went perfectly. We sat separately in the "gallery" - great atmosphere, there's no other way to say it. The food was excellent, especially the typical Hessian dishes. Price/performance ratio is completely okay and the quality is very good because local products are used. We were able to incorporate the meal into our stay at the open air museum, which was ideal. I would come back at any time.

We went for Easter brunch. The reception was nice, but afterwards the service was very slow and attentive. The Easter brunch was rather bad for the price category. Some of the food was only lukewarm. Not flavorful. Dessert selection was small. We were disappointed.

After a beautiful sunny day in the park, we were attracted by the cozy rustic atmosphere. First a delicious rosé Äppler on the terrace, then we continued inside great Hessian specialties. The conditions were super friendly and the delicious food was served very quickly, even though the shop was busy. All four of us were thrilled and will be back on our next visit to the park! Went to the wine tasting today in the vaulted cellar of the Wirthaus zum Adler. It was a wonderful evening with great food, excellent service and a great wine pairing that was complemented by in-depth specialist knowledge. 5 stars in all areas! Our visits to the tavern have always impressed us. We'd love to come back. P.s. Vegetarians will also be happy here 😉

Cozy atmosphere, friendly service - but why is the quality of the food not right? Warm cheese spaetzle, burnt fried potatoes and (that's not possible!) schnitzel made from pressed meat for 22! This still has a lot of room for improvement!!!

We just stopped in for a drink at Christmas time. The service was quick and very friendly, and she also took the time to answer my questions about the beautiful old inn. We would be happy to stop by for dinner on our next visit to Hessenpark.

Wir waren am Wochenende im Hessenpark zur Weihnachtszeit. Meine schwangere Frau benötigte dringend etwas Wasser und ist hier rein gegangen. Nachdem sie von oben bis unten gemustert wurde und man sie trotz leerem Lokals warten ließ, hat man ihr widerwillig eine 0,7 Flasche Selters für 6,80 € verkauft. Gelinde gesagt, hat uns dieses Verhalten nicht zum Einkehren eingeladen.

Sehr schönes, rustikales Restaurant. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und Platzierung. Aufmerksames und nettes Personal. Das Essen ist gutbürgerlich- hessisch geprägt. Sehr lecker, sehr gute Qualität.

Wir feierten ein Familienfest mit Buffet. Räumlichkeiten sind sehr angenehm, Essen war lecker und vielseitig, die Location ist toll. Großes Highlight war der Service - kompetent, flexibel, hilfreich und richtig nett - alles hat einfach super geklappt. Gerne wieder.

Tolles Gebäude in toller Umgebung-unschlagbar eigentlich! Der Service war freundlich und schnell, die Speisekarte übersichtlich und gut gestaltet. Das Essen mittelprächtig, für mich wirkte das wie Convenience food. Ordentlich, aber wirklich nicht besonders lecker.

War am Samstag den 16.9 zu fünft hier essen ,wir hatten bei sehr schönem Wetter noch ein tollen Platz im Gastraum bekommen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Gastraum sehr gemütlich die Speisen frisch und sehr lecker ,die Soße meines Jägerschnitzels war einfach ein Gedicht ein Super geschmack mit frischen Pilzen. Der nächste Besuch ist sicher. Dann muß das Zwiebelschnitzel dran Glaube, sah auch sehr gut aus. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Tag bei tollem essen in einem sehr schönen, freundlichen und gemütlichen Lokal .

Vorab: 5 Sterne für Essen vergebe ich nie, hier spielt der eigene Geschmack zu sehr rein. Ich hatte die Handkäs-Bratwurst- sehr leckeres Füllsel und die Bratkartoffeln ein Gedicht. Aufmerksames, sehr freundliches Personal. Die Lage der Gaststätte am Marktplatz ist herausragend. Die Fotos Speisekarte mit Stand vom 11.8.23 poste ich mit.

Restaurante que está dentro de Hessenpark. Es como una cabaña de dos plantas de madera con grandes mesas de madera y bancos corridos. Tiene platos de temporada con setas de la zona y platos típicos alemanes. Las tartas y el pan son caseros, la tarta de queso y la de manzana están espectaculares. El precio medio de los platos es 17€. Las bebidas más caras, una copa de vino riesling 7€, una cerveza alemana de medio litro 5,50€.

Es war super gemütlich, der "junge" Mann, der uns bediente: lustig, zuvorkommend und freundlich; und was das Essen betrifft: es war bei allen Anwesenden supergut und ICH habe schon lange nicht mehr sooo gut gegessen.

Historisches Gebäude mit ansprechenden Räumlichkeiten (schicker Keller!). Guter Service, Essen war sehr gut (Tafelspitz, Schnitzel mit Pommes). Bier: Benediktiner und Licher - 😋 lecker!

Als erstes.....ganz grosses Lob an den Service!! So nett und aufmerksam findet man nur noch selten. Das Essen sehr lecker zu den jetzt marktüblichen Preisen. Man sitzt sehr schön im Biergarten, ab dem frühen Abend ist ein Tisch auf dem Marktplatz zu empfehlen!

Sehr schöne altertümliche Kneipe das Essen ist lecker und die Getränke auch. Die Bedienung die wir an dem Abend hatten super nett zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Sie hatte immer einen lustigen Spruch auf den Lippen.

Ich hatte einen Handkässalat mit "gemischtem Salat der Saison, Gurke und Tomate". Der Handkässalat im Glas mit feinen Apfelstücken, war sehr lecker und gut abgeschmeckt. Der sogenannte Beilagensalat war eher ein Witz, bzw. als Dekorationen zu bezeichnen. Eine Gurkenscheibe, ein viertel Stückchen einer Miniroma-Tomate und vier kleine Salatblättchen. Da hatte ich etwas mehr erwartet. Das Brot dazu war sehr gut, wenn auch von der Menge etwas knapp für den Handkäs. Der Service war zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich, da wollte ich meine leichte Enttäuschung über den "Beilagensalat" nicht rauslassen und mich damit nicht selbst in schlechte Stimmung begeben. Mit ein bisschen mehr gemischtem Salat und etwas größeren Brotscheiben wäre es wirklich eine perfekte Brotzeit gewesen.

Schönes altes Wirtshaus am Marktplatz vom Hessenpark. Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr fleißig, auf zack!!! Sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre!! Essen war super genau richtige Portion. Man konnte auch orgial regionale Speisen essen aus der Umgebung!! Habe mich dort sehr wohlgefühlt!!!

Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe hier am Ostersonntag zum Mittagessen. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht und ohne Reservierung wäre es sicher knapp geworden. Das Ambiente ist rustikal und urig. Es passt sehr gut zum Hessenpark. Leider ist es zumindest im Erdgeschoss sehr dunkel. Bei schönem Wetter kann man auf der Seite zum Marktplatz draußen sitzen. Auf das Essen mussten wir recht lange warten, was sicher dem Andrang geschuldet war. Unser Kellner schaute aber immer wieder nach uns und brachte Getränke. Wir aßen typisch hessische Gerichte, die alle recht deftig waren. Alles war einwandfrei. Es war ein schöner Abschluss unseres Besuchs im Hessenpark.

Im herrlichen Ambiente des Gewölbekellers eine Weinprobe mit begleitendem Menü genossen. Hervorragende Weine und sehr gutes Essen und dazu auch sehr kompetentes und freundliches Personals.

Gestern Abend gab es im schönen Gewölbekeller eine Weinverkostung plus 4 Gängemenue. Es war sensationell gut. Wunderbare Weine, perfekt zubereitete 4 Gänge (es gab auch ekne vegetarische Alternative zu der Vorspeise mit Thunfisch und dem Hauptgang mit Rinderfilet), ein aufmerksamer freundlicher Service und unterhaltsame informative Erklärung zu den Weinen, alle aus deutschen Lagen. Ich komme sehr gerne nächstes Jahr wieder.

Wir und unsere Gäste haben einen wunderschönen Tag bei Ihnen im Wirtshaus erleben dürfen. Wir haben uns in der speziellen Atmosphäre im Gewölbekeller mit tollem Essen (Hessisches Buffet) sehr wohlgefühlt und bedanken uns für den tollen Service. Es war schön bei Ihnen die Zeit verbringen zu dürfen und können es nur weiter empfehlen. Alle getroffenen Absprachen im Vorfeld mit den freundlichen Mitarbeiter/innen wurden umgesetzt. Bei Problem wurde sofort reagiert und eine Lösung gefunden.
