Sehr empfehlenswert! Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker, die Zutaten frisch und hochwertig. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat absolut überzeugt. Freundlicher Service und eine angenehme Atmosphäre runden den Besuch ab. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder! 😊

Grauenhafter Service. Von zwei Getränken kam nur eins. Auf mehrmalige Bestellanfrage wurden wir zuerst auf „gleich“ vertröstet und danach komplett ignoriert. Am Ende sind wir gegangen, ohne etwas zu Essen bestellt zu haben

Montagabend im Wirtshaus im Schloss: Es war gut besucht, doch trotzdem nahm sich der Service viel Zeit für jeden einzelnen Gast. Und was dann auf den Tisch kam, war rundum überzeugend! Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert haben unser der Geschmack und die Qualität des Essens überzeugt. Die Portionen sind großzügig bemessen, aber das ist nicht der Grund für die 5 Sterne. Es war des Gesamtpaket, was stimmte. Das für einen kulinarisch gelungenen Abend!

Wunderbare Atmosphäre im Wintergarten. Das Servicepersonal ist absolut souverän, sehr nett, aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Das Essen, wie immer, sehr gut und reichlich. Wir gehen dort immer sehr gerne hin, auch mit größeren Gruppen, da immer alle sehr zufrieden sind. Man kann dem Team um Nadine und Michael nur gratulieren zu diesem guten Konzept VG Bert und Hilde

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant, bei dem man alles auf der Karte empfehlen kann. Egal ob Steak oder Schnitzel, sehr lecker. Sehr zu empfehlen ist das Rumpsteak mit Pfeffersauce - kommt eher einem Filet gleich! Netter Service mit Humor und hoher Motivation. Viele unterschiedliche Sitzgelegenheiten mit schönem Ambiente, im historischen Gebäude, im neuen Wintergarten, im historischen Gebäude oder an der Bar. Von der Martins-Gans und den Zutaten waren wir leider etwas enttäuscht. Dafür kann man Steak in allen Varianten sehr empfehlen. Auch die halbe Ente war tip-top. Bewirtung wie immer super!

Wir waren zu einem 90 Geburtstag zum Mittagessen im Wintergarten. Es war alles rundum stimmig.

Tpo Adresse u.a. weil wenig Veganes/Vegetarisches, dafür sehr gutes Fleisch (in jeder Form und Art) und sehr gemütlich und angenehme Atmosphäre! 😉

Es hat alles sehr gut geklappt und das Essen und die Bedienung waren toll. Großes Lob auch für die Räumlichkeiten.

Wir hatten in der Weihnachtszeit 2x "Gans to go" - wirklich genossen. Zartes Fleisch, leckeres Rotkraut, perfekte Klöße, geniale Soße und oben drauf noch Maronen. Ganz fantastisch, super unkomplizierter Service, zwei tolle Momente mit Freunden und Familie - bei uns am großen Esstisch. Ein Extralob auch in Bezug auf die Menge. Schönes Lokal, aber stolze Preise.

Es gab viele freie Parkplätze und wir haben nicht auf unseren Tisch warten müssen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Die Portion der Gericht war sehr groß, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis Top! Außerdem war das Essen geschmacklich sehr lecker. Eine klare Empfehlung!

Das Cordon Bleu war nicht durchgebraten, und dann wurde mir ein Espresso und eine 5€ Gutschrift angeboten. Sehr unbefriedigend. Ein Kunde weniger.

We had very friendly and courteous service. We would gladly return.

A very nice inn with good, rustic food. We had cordon bleu with fries and salad and braised beef with dumplings and red cabbage. Everything was delicious. The service is particularly noteworthy. Despite the stress of a packed house on a Saturday evening, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Overall, we were very satisfied.

But twice, a rump steak was cooked incorrectly and the starter wasn't prepared as requested (substitutions). We later learned that the chef was on vacation. We'd be happy to come back.

Wait! They don’t accept Credit Card and they don’t tell it in advance. For a Tourist like me I found it Negative. The foods is good. I suggest it 💯 % , for German Foods. The Service was ok. Bur the bread portion in my salad was to miserable, so thin Like a Carpaccio.

Yesterday we were guests at a large family celebration. In addition to the delicious food and the cozy setting, we were struck by the impeccable service. We were served attentively, quickly, and friendly.

Everything is just right here, we were guests here in the beer garden today. The location is a dream, the service is extremely friendly and totally accommodating, all wishes were implemented very precisely! For dinner we ordered asparagus with schnitzel 😋The asparagus was just super tender, just as it should be! In terms of size, we had at least 1 pound of asparagus on the plate, whereas at many other restaurants there are often only 4 spears on the plate. We can only recommend this great restaurant for the reasons mentioned! Dear operators of the inn in the castle, it's great that you exist! You and your team showed us how good gastronomy can work, thank you very much for that❣️

Very disappointing for the price. You come hungry and leave hungry again. The deep fryer fat was old. The waitress had no comment on this service. The veal schnitzel is not even half a centimeter thick. The breading is twice as thick as the piece of meat. It is very doubtful whether the asparagus was even from Germany. There is one star for the beer light and dark The carbohydrates have to come from somewhere. Oh yeah and it's a shame there was no salad. That would have at least shown some goodwill. All in all, it's better to get a pizza from your neighbor, it's worth the money.

The staff is very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is more reminiscent of a village pub, not very appealing and cozy. The food is very different, but overall too expensive. We had, among other things, liver that was underdone, spare ribs that lived up to their name because they were sparse, i.e. h. Almost no meat, the baked potatoes were okay. Only the sea bream was really good, as were the cocktails. We won't be coming back any time soon.

Too bad. We don't think this is sustainable and no longer up-to-date, because the leftovers are thrown away. This hasn't been a problem for the last 2 years. *personally angry, sad and bitterly disappointed*

After making a reservation by phone, we got a seat, the food was A1, only the side salad wasn't up to par with the rest. To make matters worse, the dataphone did not work with any of the 3 cards with which we were going to pay. In general bad service. After reading their response in which they do not recognize the facts, I tell them that the reservation was for 16 people but only 14 could attend, the facts are as they occurred and I sent it to a young brunette waitress. On Sunday we were back in the castle to eat, as always, our first "goose" of the season in the castle. We were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The sauce and red cabbage were great, the dumplings were good, but unfortunately the goose was far too tough and not tasty. Breast and leg should be served, which would also justify the price. On the plate there was only a small piece of breast, which was still hanging on the bone of the leg (without leg meat) and a small wing, which was sold to me as a leg or half a leg. We enjoy being in the castle, have always had a very good meal there and have always felt comfortable. Today, however, that was nothing. So, finish complaining and hope that next time it will be as delicious as usual.

We had a very nice evening in the inn. Since it was quite crowded on Friday evening, we had to wait a long time for the menu, drinks and food, but the food was very fresh and tasty. Despite a reservation for lunch, the veal goulash was no longer available an hour after opening. This is very annoying because we only reserved because of the court and had a long journey. Location: right in the small but nice center of Wehens, in the front of the glass annex overlooking the busy main street, there is always something going on. The main entrance is directly behind the house on the cozy, quiet “Schlossplatz”, where in summer there are outdoor tables, a large lawn, beautiful trees and a view of the (rather small) castle building. You can also stop by by bike in summer.

We sat and ate in the rustic castle courtyard with a beer garden character in the best weather. The waitress was super nice and greeted us by saying if our dog was thirsty, there was a dog bar inside. Drinks and food came quickly, were very tasty, individually garnished and freshly prepared. We only moved to Taunusstein a year ago and are still looking for a good restaurant and the Wirtshaus im Schloß is a bright spot in the less than pleasant Restaurant Portfolio in Taunusstein. Finally a chef who knows something about cooking and doesn't scare away his guests with run-of-the-mill food. I would easily recommend the inn in the castle, good food in a nice atmosphere and very friendly service, what more could you want.

We had reserved in advance and explicitly pointed out that one person in our group was vegan for health reasons (cow's milk allergy). Nevertheless, we were only offered a salad, which is no longer appropriate in 2024. To top it all off, the salad also came with parmesan cheese. I complained about this and when the "boss" (or so it seemed) came back with a supposedly vegan dish, I asked again whether there really was no butter in it, otherwise I could suffer an allergic shock. Her answer was that of course only oil was used. She said this in an incredibly unfriendly and, in my opinion, arrogant tone. After I started eating the salad, I noticed from the first bite that it contained cheese again (video recording available) When I complained about this again, I was told in a very unfriendly manner that she was under a lot of stress because the loud babies at our table were stressing her out. She continued to be very rude to everyone at the table. Absolutely no recommendation! The only bright spots were the two male waitresses, who were always friendly and tried very hard. Thanks for that. Unfortunately, due to the allergy, I had to inject medication with an emergency pen, which fortunately I always have with me in an emergency bag. Finally, I can only say that I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. A pity!

Leider war unser Besuch sehr enttäuschend. Die Chefin war sehr unfreundlich und machte deutlich, dass sie von den Kindern, die laut ihrer Aussage andauernd schreien und herumlaufen würden, genervt war. Wir verstehen, dass Kinder manchmal lauter sind, aber wir hatten erwartet, dass ein Restaurant, das Reservierungen für große Gruppen annimmt, darauf vorbereitet ist. Das Essen war leider auch nicht zufriedenstellend. Außerdem schmeckte das gesamte Essen nach nichts, es fehlten überall Gewürze. Ein weiteres Problem war, dass das Restaurant nicht mit Kritik umgehen konnte. Auf unsere höflichen Anmerkungen zur Qualität des Essens wurde sehr gereizt reagiert. Zudem war es im Restaurant sehr warm und es gab keine Klimaanlage. In Anbetracht der großen Gruppe war die Hitze extrem unangenehm und machte den Aufenthalt noch weniger erträglich. Wir hatten uns auf einen angenehmen Abend gefreut, wurden jedoch sehr enttäuscht. Ein Nächstes mal wird es nicht geben!

There won't be a next time!

There were 20 of us plus children and we left around €800. The boss is an arrogant, rude young lady who cannot handle criticism. The steak that was ordered medium was still very bloody and they politely asked me to correct it. This was followed by a rude reaction from the operator. When confronted, she complains about the children just have an urge to move and walk around. Das Restaurant ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet aber das war es leider auch schon....Das Mittagessen hier ist hier nicht gut gewesen...Die Mittagskarte besteht nur aus 4 Gerichten....ich hatte das Hähnchen Curry mit asiatischen Gemüse....Der Geschmack war mehr als flach und hat mit Curry nix zu tun...Die Hähnchenstücke waren ok aber neutral im Geschmack...Das Gemüse waren 5 dünne Streifen Paprika und ein paar verlorene Champiostreifen mit ein paar Mungobohnenkeimlingen ...was ich persönlich gar nicht mag als Liebhaber der asiatischen Küche ist, wenn man Langkornreis dazu serviert...ich finde das passt gar nicht...und dieser war noch sehr weich und unter der Sosse mit Gemüse und Fleisch bedeckt und ertränkt und richtig matschig...Der Nachtisch war ein Vanillepudding mit Melonensalat....tut mir leid aber das war kein selbstgekochter Pudding mit Milch wie ein Pudding schmecken soll...der Melonensalat schmeckte nach nix und das alles in einem Schüsselchen war sehr matschig wässrig und geschmacklich ein Flop. ..das Schweinefilet der anderen war trocken und wenig ...das war leider nix....wie gesagt schade es wäre ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen wenn das Essen gut wäre

A wonderful and delicious Sunday lunch on the occasion of a birthday invitation in Wehener Castle. Zander was fantastic, as was asparagus, the Cordon Blue's were just missing a bit of spice, otherwise everything was great. The friendly service was attentive, quick and competent. We would love to come back...
