Sehr kunden- und hundefreundlich. Wir waren zu dritt mit zwei großen Hunden da und wurden herzlich empfangen. Die Hunde bekamen Leckerlis und Wasser. Das Essen war köstlich. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Ein aufmerksamer und sehr freundlicher Service - eine vorzügliche regionale Küche - ein stimmiges und stilechtes Ambiente - alles in allem seeehr empfehlenswert - wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

Sehr schöne Lage am Marktplatz, gemütliches Ambiente, sehr freundliche, aufmerksame Bedienung und das beste Schnitzel, das ich seit langem gegessen habe! Vorbehaltlos zu empfehlen!

Spontan hier eingekehrt und eine gute Entscheidung getroffen. Der Empfang war freundlich und das zog sich durch den Aufenthalt. Bei dem urigen Ambiente ein leckeres Cordon Bleu gegessen.

Schöne alte Wirtschaft mit super netten Service und feiner Küche.

Wirtshaus am Markt Ottobeuren – absolut empfehlenswert! 🍽️😊 Wir haben auf unserem Zwischenstopp in Ottobeuren das Wirtshaus am Markt entdeckt und waren begeistert! Die Bedienung war super nett und ging wirklich auf alle Wünsche ein. Besonders die hausgemachten Schnitzel waren ein Highlight – unsere Jungs waren total begeistert! Auch die Ofenkartoffel war richtig lecker und gut gewürzt. Das Essen schmeckt authentisch bayerisch, die Portionen sind gut und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Dazu kommt die wunderbar gemütliche, traditionelle Atmosphäre – genau wie man sich ein echtes Wirtshaus vorstellt. Fazit: Wer in Ottobeuren ist, sollte hier unbedingt einmal einkehren. Ein richtig schöner, unkomplizierter und leckerer Stopp! ⭐ 5 Sterne – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Mein persönliches Lieblings Restaurant hier im Ort. Super leckere bayrische Küche, im traditionellen Wirtshaus Ambiente. Holzboden, holzvertäfelung, Barbereich, alles ausgezeichnet.

Angefangen bei fast 45min Wartezeit fing es schon schlecht an. Die Spätzle schwammen im Fett und das Fleisch war total versalzen. Wieder zuhause merkte man dann das die komplette Kleidung nach alter Frittenbude stanken. Einmal und nie wieder!

Tolles Klassentreffen, freundliche Bedienung und sehr gute Küche. 👍😊🥳

Sehr sehr nette Bedienung, gestern und heute, zwei verschiedene Damen. Essen super lecker,von Salat bis Fleischspeisen,alles zu empfehlen. Gästekontakt ist hier Priorität. Lokal sehr zum empfehlen.

Wir sind öfter hier und kommen auch ganz sicher bald wieder. Mega Cordon bleu, auch der Rösti mit Garnelen von meiner Frau war super lecker 😋 eigentlich ist hier alles zu empfehlen.

Wir waren heute zum zweiten Mal hier zum Essen, dass uns sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Chefin sehr aufgeschlossen, besonders zu unserem Vierbeiner. Es grüßen die Gollers und Böhms insbesondere Blacky.

We didn't even get a chance to try the restaurant's cuisine. A visibly overwhelmed waitress simply said, "No! No!" at 8:40 p.m. on a Friday. I interpreted it as a refusal to seat us at the table. She didn't even greet us, by the way. Is it called antisocial these days? Do we need to be more understanding because they lack staff? Or does the lady simply not want to earn money since it's not her own restaurant? Better go straight to the next door to the truly amazing Italian restaurant. It was a truly enriching discovery! P.S. Note: The "restaurant" is stuffy and reeks terribly of food (anything you're wearing has to go straight into the washing machine afterward!) – and the food we noticed looked more like supermarket produce. Conclusion: A completely unnecessary place – and best forgotten as soon as possible. Ugh!

A small menu with simple dishes, no drinks menu. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio isn't right at all.

We were here for the second time. We were looking forward to the delicious dishes from the old menu. However, we weren't offered cheese spaetzle or chicken. They weren't on the menu. The waiter offered them at every table, but unfortunately, not at ours. What a shame.

A cozy inn, right on the market square. A small menu with a select, rather simple selection. Each dish is perfectly prepared and perfectly seasoned. The service was very friendly, and despite a full house, we were able to get a seat at short notice on a Sunday evening.

We happened to be there this afternoon and were thrilled!👍 Since there was a concert in the monastery church at 3 p.m.... we were lucky to get a table! Despite the stress, the service was very friendly, the small lunch menu was appealing... and after a short wait, the food was delicious, fresh! The owner even came personally to apologize for the wait... 🙏 An inn that is highly recommended! Thank you so much 😊

A traditional inn with modern decor. The service was courteous and friendly. The cook personally greeted us and our young dog because our dog briefly barked and complained about the schnitzel being pounded. After she was calmed down with a treat, they were able to continue preparing our meal. It was very good. The Wirtshaus am Markt is highly recommended.

Service overloaded. But no wonder given the staff shortage

No, unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. We were here a few years ago, and it was great then. Now: small portion sizes, food quality not exceptional, and service unfriendly. Judging by the faces of the other guests, the latter didn't seem to be something only our traveling companions noticed. Perhaps a bad snapshot, but unfortunately, we won't be going back.

It was very crowded. That's not a problem in itself. However, we were there at 8 p.m., and about eight tables besides us hadn't gotten their food yet. Since we expected it to take longer, we ordered an appetizer: a salad and three fried mushrooms. We waited an hour for those. Then another 30 minutes for the main course. To make up for it, we got two apple fritters on the house. That was nice. But all in all, the wait wasn't really worth it. I wouldn't go there again.

Unfortunately, we were extremely lucky that a table just became available. Reservations would be advantageous on weekends. We had to wait a long time for drinks, and we waited 50 minutes for the food. Unfortunately, the food wasn't exactly my taste. The croquettes were very salty, and the sauce solidified when it cooled. One thing that was very good was the side salad, hence the 2 stars.

We were on a short trip to Ottobeuren/Allgäu with our camper van at the campsite. We cycled into the small town for dinner. We found a great restaurant on site. Small menu, great prices, great food, super friendly "world-class" service, and a wonderful hostess. What more could you want? 6 stars ****** would also be appropriate. A very generous portion of the Wirtshaus Schmankerlplatte (Tasty Plate) for 18.90 was very filling. The sour cream and white bread provided made sure you were full.

Baked potato with shrimp skewers was delicious. Cheese spaetzle with good cheese. Cordon Bleue homemade. Everything was really good. Price level normal. Service polite, friendly and uncomplicated. If I ever come back to Ottobeuren I will eat here again with my family. Ambiance 4/5 - Chairs too high. My legs didn't quite fit under the table. But I'm also taller than average.

Incredibly great service and very good food. The furnishings are a very successful mix of old and new. - I assume - the boss welcomed us and explained the daily specials, which made me think that it was really individual cuisine, where things were really cooked by ourselves. The apple fritters were also fantastic. I would say that they really weren't just the ready-made things that you can buy frozen wholesale, but rather "real", homemade ones. We'd love to come back!

The receptionist and lead to the place were extremely friendly. The ambience and the food selection were varied and carefully chosen - a small improvement: 1-2 more vegetarian dishes. :) The service and stay were excellent at all times! Thank you!

I had a cordon blue with fries. The fries were too salty and the cordon blue was seasoned with a spice mixture that contained curry and other things, so it no longer tasted like a cordon blue should taste. Everything was good. The food somehow lacked the final kick for 5 stars. But it was really good. Service and ambience 5 stars.

It was incredibly tasty and the service was very friendly. The guest room is totally cozy and furnished and designed in a traditional style. My tip: there is incredibly delicious duck from Friday to Sunday. For dessert, me and my family recommend the apple fritters. Bon appetit: Nick 13 years

We sat outside in the market square. The portions were not very large but sufficient. The lemonade was totally overpriced. Too sweet and the glass was 3/4 full with ice. Toilet was clean. Next time I'll drink a Coke. Then I know what I have😁

The staff is friendly, there is also seating outside in summer. Located right in the center of town. Parking spaces within walking distance.

Incredibly good! 10/5 would describe it quite well. Great service, nice atmosphere - but the food is amazing. All the dishes were simply top. Not just good, but really so delicious that you really wanted to enjoy it. Big compliments to the cook! 😊 It was also nice that there were several vegetarian dishes and you didn't have to limit yourself to cheese spaetzle. Portions just right so you're full, but not too much. And the price is awesome. The good reviews are more than justified. Thank you very much and keep it up!

Dear restaurant critics, If a nice ambience is important to you, you might have the chance to overlook the mediocre food... The service staff do a good job, but “even I can prepare a schnitzel faster”. Furthermore, I have the unclouded feeling that the Jägerschnitzel served to us could have come from a Netto branch.

Leckeres, frisch zubereitete Speisen, deshalb etwas längere Wartezeit. Nichts für mal schnell schnell.... Freundliche Bedienung.
