Once again in the Wichtel Ditzingen. I have known the Wichtel Ditzingen since 1998, so from the very beginning.

Historic brewery and restaurant in the middle of Ditzingen. Feels like a time travel, and the food is heavenly too. During the busiest times a reservation is recommended.

It's impossible to reach anyone here. When you try to call someone, you wait in vain. I've called 17 times now and it rings every time. The last time I mentioned this, I was also told that I could see what was going on here. Dealing with regular customers. Under the weather for years. You have lost us. The food is good, but it's no use if I can't order it.

Einmal im Jahr anlässlich der Messe CMT kommen wir nach Stuttgart. Dabei ist ein Besuch in einem Wichtel (zu 90% in Ditzingen) eine willkommene Abendveranstaltung. Immer sind wir mit Freunden da. Dieses Jahr war es aussergewöhnlich lustig. Das Essen war super, trotz großem Andrang haben die Servicekräfte gute Laune versprüht, die Speisen, insbsondere aber die Getränke kamen sehr zügig. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt. so kam es, dass wir dieses Jahr als letzte Gäste das Restaurant verlassen haben. Imm wieder gerne, freue mich schon auf die CMT 2026.

Good restaurant, rustically furnished. Very good food, friendly staff. Went there spontaneously at 5 p.m. and got a table. Parking garage free for 3 hours just around the corner.

Grundsätzlich ist es im Wichtel nett, gutes Ambiente, gutes Essen. Aber ich kann nicht empfehlen, im Winter dort hinzugehen, es ist eiskalt in den Gasträumen. Ich bin mit Winterjacke und Schal da gesessen, ebenso wie meine Begleitung sowie andere Gäste, die sogar noch Hut und Mütze trugen. Wir sind relativ schnell wieder gegangn, um uns in einem Café weiter zu unterhalten.

Delicious but not outstanding food in a very nice location, nice atmosphere and attentive service. Personally, I thought the food was good but not special. Anyone who likes to discover something new, including in terms of taste, is in the wrong place here. But if you're looking for good, solid food without any unpleasant surprises, this is the place for you

Was Jahrzehnte sehr gut war, gibt es leider nicht mehr, z.B. Salat mit Schinken und Käse sowie Hausdressing. Bewährtes tolles Essen, was den Wichtel besonders machte, wurde gegen Einheitsmampf ausgetauscht! Dazu kommt noch eine saftige Preiserhöhung, welche in keinster Weise gerechtfertigt erscheint! So kostet etwa ein Salatteller (Blattsalat, ein bisschen Kartoffelsalat, ein paar Karottenstiftchen, ein Klecks Krautsalat, ein wenig Dosenmais und ein wenig Thunfisch mit Joghurtdressing - wohlgemerkt "ohne Brot") 15.40 €! Unverschämtheit!

Very cozy restaurant. Wichtelflambkuchen and Wichtelbräu are a must every time.😊 The service is friendly and you are usually served quickly and don't have to wait long for your food. Parking in the underground car park right next door. Everything fits! 👍

Preciosa cervecería, ambiente acogedor, excelente cerveza, personal amable… todo lo que hace que un lugar sea especial. Me encantó, y volveré seguro. Buenísima la Currywurst y la ensalada de patata.

Our absolute favorite brewery with fantastic beer and very tasty food. The service is great and very fast.

The gnome is always worth a visit. The food is ok. The beer was excellent. The service has to run a lot because it is understaffed. But it's super friendly. The atmosphere is really cozy and inviting. Come again.

Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the food. Three people at the table had the schnitzel, which was very large. Unfortunately it was very dry and had hardly any taste. Even with the lemon that was served with it, it couldn't be saved. The sauce was brought to the table in a nice gravy boat, but unfortunately it couldn't add any flavor to the spaetzle and gave me the impression of a somewhat bland standard ready-made sauce. I also had the pumpkin soup, which had little taste despite the oil and wasn't enjoyable even after seasoning. It's a shame, I had better memories of the gnome.

The food at the Wichtel is good, the beer and the juice spritzers are great. That was also the case when we visited yesterday. The ambience suits a brewery restaurant. What only partially worked was the service. As soon as we arrived, everything was great: we were taken straight to the table, someone took our order promptly, the drinks and food came quickly, the empty plates were quickly cleared away. So far everything is good. Only when we wanted to order drinks again a little later did the service staff walk past our table, even though the empty glasses were clearly visible... After a while, someone came to clear away at the neighboring table. We said to her as she was about to leave with the plates that we would like to have something more to drink. She rolled her eyes and said she would come back. But that didn't happen. After a while another waitress came and brought food to the next table. We have also addressed you. Despite the tray of glasses, she took our order and brought the drinks quickly.

I don't know how to express that the service is poor and the portions are on the smaller side because there is a new trend of restaurants filing for defamation. Three years ago I gave it five stars, but the last two times it hasn't been as diligent...

Had reserved a table for 6 people. Unfortunately, this was very narrow and the half-height benches (with iron struts for the footrest) very uncomfortable. After a short while we preferred to take turns standing. Unfortunately we didn't like the beer. That was definitely better before. Neither the light nor the pilsner appealed to everyone. Both overly spicy with strange aftertaste. We will test the wheat at the second chance. We can't say anything about the food, we just drank. We had to report the (re-)order to a service person several times until we received something. The empty glasses were not cleared away either. There were around 10 empty glasses on the table when we paid.

Relaxing and peaceful setting. Doesn't matter if you are eating inside or out, the decor will not disappoint. Outside has beautiful seating in a historic courtyard. Interior is high ceilings, amazing wood beams and wood work. If you want some good food with great beer, this is the place to be. Staff is friendly and attentive and the ambiance is inviting.

We ate schnitzel with fries. The meat was tough and had a lot of dry breading, the fries were floury. The waitress wanted to pass the information on to the kitchen.

Great location in the heart of Ditzingen. We especially recommend the various gnome cakes...it's a type of tarte flambée. Of course the beer is great too. Therefore, a visit to this small, pretty town is almost mandatory for every guest. I'll definitely come back.

Cozy and rustic brewery in the city center of Ditzingen. I think the food is very tasty and there is a large selection. Value for money is good. Good service. One star deducted because the toilets are on the first floor and are not accessible to walkers and wheelchair users.

As always the service was awesome! At times - evenings and weekends - the place gets busy and it pays to make a reservation. The beer is very good. If you prefer non-alcoholic beer they offer two choices: Pilsner and Weizen. When we are in the area, we often go here because if the relaxed setting. Thank you!

Unfortunately it has diminished significantly. I wanted a turkey salad “we don’t have it anymore”, then a Jägerschnitzel “oh, that’s out too”. eigentlich war alles OK und wie immer, seit vielen Jahren... eiegntlich! Vor wenigen Jahren haben wir den Spargelwichtel noch zwischen 11 und 16.30Uhr für 5€ genossen. Jetzt gibt es das Angebot weder an Sonn- und Feiertag, noch für Aktionswichtel! 15,40€ kostet der auf einmal mit etwas Schinken! 15,40€!! Nein Danke, das war's, sehen wir nicht ein, machen wir nicht mehr. mehr als 3x so viel ist..... Wem das egal ist und weer das Geld ausgeben will, der bekommt was gutes für viel zu viel Geld

We stopped in spontaneously and were pleasantly surprised by the great ambience of the lovingly restored brewery with a beautiful inner courtyard and a spacious restaurant on several levels. Delicious beer and "Wichtelkuchen" (pizza) and although the only service person outside urgently needed support, she was extremely friendly to 2 hungry children and a dog. Recommended for staying in a relaxed atmosphere.

Unfriendly service, you are rudely thrown out of the house when you ask for a free seat. They don't even bother whether something is free or will be free, even though they emphasized that you would only have a small drink and then leave straight away. I have never experienced anything like that in a restaurant.

Delicious food and good beer at fair prices. I like the Viennese style schnitzel with Swabian potato salad best. Plus the Pils, which has a similar taste to the Helle (which, funnily enough, is darker), but is more powerful in the Pils.

Hello everyone, The schnitzel was terrible. Just breading, super thin, hardly any meat, dry and just really bad. Spaetzle is a mass-produced product (not homemade) but you often can't expect more. But the schnitzel was really the worst of my life. The waiters were great 👍🏼 Otherwise I would have given 0 stars if that were possible 🙏

Nice and courteous service. Orders were taken and fulfilled quickly. A small selection of daily meals/lunch and also the normal menu. So - something for everyone.

I've been a regular customer at Wichtel since the beginning. Good food and good beer always draw me back there. Participated in a beer tasting for the first time. The brewer and maltster from Wichtel personally guided us through the two hours. It was very entertaining and interesting. Thank you for the nice evening.

We ordered schnitzel, unfortunately frozen goods. It wasn't bad, but unfortunately not the quality you would expect when you look at the place. And yes: the food was on the plate in less than 10 minutes after ordering, which can only be achieved with frozen food!

When we arrived we asked for food and drink. Just wanted something to drink first. Then they never asked again. After a while we became noticeable. It said that the kitchen closed 7 minutes ago. Well....no food then unfortunately. At least attention was drawn to the last round of drinking orders. It would have been better if we hadn't gone into the annex, then we would have been more visible.
