The hotel and café recently underwent new ownership, and unfortunately, the quality has declined. I had reserved a table for a surprise breakfast by email, noting that it was an anniversary and requesting a small table decoration (for an additional charge). We were seated near the entrance, even though there were plenty of more comfortable tables available, and as some of the first guests, we saw a dining room that hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. My request for a small (extra) decoration seemed to have gone unheeded. The breakfast was lovingly prepared but lacked any highlights. The rolls didn't seem to be fresh, and we were only offered filter coffee as a hot drink.

We were there today, Boxing Day. The service was extremely friendly, and everyone went out of their way to welcome us and provide excellent service. The food was absolutely fantastic and very plentiful. Every dish was served with great care and attention to detail, without a long wait. We all felt very comfortable and will gladly come back.
