An excellently successful evening. My first recommendation is to make a reservation and, if possible - and weather permitting - sit outside. You can confidently get advice from the service staff when it comes to wines. I would recommend skipping the starter and treating yourself to dessert (for three dishes you should fast at least a day beforehand). The prices are appropriate for the quality of the food. Everything I was able to try tasted fantastic. The toilets are clean.

Relaxed atmosphere, very nice waiters, in keeping with the slightly more expensive menu, the food was appealing and extremely tasty. All in all worth a recommendation. If you have the opportunity, it's best to enjoy your meal outside.

We sat outside in the yard because it was very warm. Unfortunately, it was not possible to look into the fields. We ate a winter steak. It was very well prepared, the lead layer salad we also ordered was very delicately and deliciously dressed with a vinegar and oil marinade. Overall, the food is very expensive. At Logel, Hainfeld, you get significantly more for your money with at least the same quality.

Ate delicious flamed salmon again today. Very nice, emphatic, courteous service. It was absolutely wonderful.

We went to the kiln for dinner. Unfortunately we couldn't get through by phone in advance, so we couldn't reserve a table. That's why we first had to wait at a small table for a place to become available. During this time we were able to choose from the menu and order. The service staff were all very friendly and really on their toes. It's rare to get such good service! Kudos for that! The food was served quickly and was also super tasty. The garden is very spacious and beautifully designed. Even though there were a lot of guests there, it wasn't loud and you weren't disturbed by cigarette smoke from another table or anything like that. All in all, we were very satisfied and left the restaurant completely happy.

We celebrated our wedding in the kiln and can only say it was the best decision we could have made! From the arrangements made in advance, to the beautiful rooms, to the great service, the incredible, delicious food and the loving execution :) we would do it again at any time and would like to thank everyone who contributed to this This celebration was unforgettable for us!

We went to the kiln for dinner. The service was very good, polite, accommodating. The food all tasted very good, as did the drinks (spritzer and various red wines). Not too expensive, good value for money. Payment with EC card possible without any problems.

Rustic atmosphere, especially the interior area in the old brickworks combustion chamber. Spacious terraced outdoor garden area. Very friendly staff, small but very good menu. The food is excellent, as are the in-house wines, and I and my wife were particularly impressed by the labels. The raven motif runs like a common thread through the wine list and the outdoor area. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, friendly service. That's it already. There is not much left of the quality of the earlier years. The quality of the Metgers' friends regarding the bratwurst and the sausage stomach was poor in taste. Worse is the 38 rump steak, which was apparently prepared in plastic foil. (I would like to know that beforehand) The problem was that the payment by credit card or Visa Girocard was not requested.

Based on positive experiences, my wife and I decided to have our wedding celebration take place in the kiln in Ilbesheim. From the first contact to the clean up the next day everything was perfect. With her commitment and experience, Maren Belger made it possible for us to have a perfect celebration. Maren Schmitt also offered us an unforgettable wine tasting in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The ambience in the garden and also in the restaurant is simply fantastic. In fact, if you want, you can sit in the old kiln of a former brickworks. Given the garden, this might be something for cold winter evenings. A small, ambitious menu, wines typical of the Palatinate, as well as newer grape varieties and unusual wines (Blanc de Noire, Schwarzriesling) - it's worth stopping here! The rest is also really good, no mayonnaise or other heavy sauces. With the salmon there are also baked potatoes with herb quark. Very attentive service, we feel really pampered by the crew and the great food! The salmon grilling takes place at certain times on one or two Thursdays a month. Dates can be found on the website. Be sure to reserve in good time! In June 2024 we were registered with 10 people for salmon grilling. As always and in short: great! 10 enthusiastic guests cycled to Rhodt more than satisfied. The food selection is minimalistic, and the fact that you have to pick up the chosen side dishes yourself from the buffet is not entirely okay given THE prices. The rump steak (which was very small for 35 euros) tasted excellent. The waiter was super friendly.

It was again very tasty. I hardly know of any restaurant in the Southern Palatinate that offers such fine vegetarian main dishes. There is a lot more here than the obligatory sheep's cheese.

When you visit again, it feels like coming home: a wonderful room in the attached domicile. A welcome bottle of water. Spacious and clean maisonette room with terrace. Dinner: Salmon grilling - a beautifully seasoned and prepared piece of salmon, with a large selection of salads, baked potatoes... Matching wine from our own winery - something for every taste. In the past we have also had excellent a la carte meals. Definitely a recommendation: the domicile - the restaurant - the wine!

Yesterday on Good Friday a fish buffet was offered, which for me is unsurpassed. A selection that was definitely large and extremely tasty: from fried salmon fillet with soy-honey varnish to steamed halibut in lobster foam sauce, further with pollack in a crispy coating, to sea bream fillet fried on the skin, to name just a few highlights, everything was there and simple just delicious. There were also various side dishes and a starter buffet beforehand, which was a pleasure in itself. We are happy to have been part of this great event 🥰

The fish buffet every year on Good Friday is always fantastic! But the kiln is also worth a visit on other days.

Visited the Brennofen restaurant yesterday. Ordered the beef cheeks, the venison chop and the rump steak. At first I was “slightly shocked” by the prices. But the food was definitely worth it. The chef knows his craft, the service was very attentive and friendly. We can only recommend the restaurant.

We waited 1.5 hours for our food. The food was okay but nothing special. You can expect more for these food prices. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right. Here in the Palatinate we have much better wine bars where you get significantly more for your money.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Southern Palatinate. Very good food, very nice atmosphere and very good service. Absolutely my number 1. The attached hotel invites you to stay overnight. In spring and summer you can sit outside very nicely. There is a very pleasant, calm and relaxed atmosphere. So definitely stop by when visiting the Southern Palatinate.

From the wine tasting to the subsequent meal, everything was perfect. Very attentive service. Great wines and very good menu.

Kurz etwas zu essen war ja beste Devise u d ab nach Hause. Aber wir haben ein ganz tolles Restaurant gefunden. Service war Spitzenklasse, Essen war sehr gut (bis auf das Sauerkraut da fehlten Wacholderbeeren für den letzten Pfiff). Ambiente sehr sauber und überhaupt nicht laut. Sogar zum spielen war eine kleine Ecke vorhanden. Was ich persönlich ganz toll fand, sind die hausgemachten Rieslingkekse, die zum Espresso schmecken, aber auch hervorragend zum kräftigen Grauburgunder. Wäre schön wenn man die auch kaufen könnte.🙏🏻 Der Weinverkauf direkt am Tisch ging so einfach und der Grauburgunder wird nun auch ein paar Freunde erfreuen. Wir freuen uns auf ein nächsten Mal im Sommer.

In summary, I think the price is a bit too expensive in relation to the portion size. If rump steak was 300g I would accept that

A friendly welcome started a thoroughly enjoyable evening in the modern wine bar. As is usual in the region, there is a large selection of wines, but you will be given good advice. There are also wine recommendations for the food and a small wine tasting that you can put together yourself. The dishes range from Palatinate classics to modern game dishes. In terms of taste and quality, it really hit our nerve. Special greetings to Harald our waiter. I have rarely experienced such a good waiter. Ich war aufgrund der guten Bewertungen im Internet nach meinem Besuch doch etwas sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen war vom Geschmack und der Zubereitung her eher durchschnittlich und der Service nicht sehr aufmerksam. Die Preise für den Wein finde ich nicht angemessen. Ich werde daher nicht wiederkommen

Man sollte hier reservieren. Parkplätze sind vor dem Restaurant genug vorhanden. Das Essen war hervorragend und ebenso der Service. Auch Hunde dürfen mitgebracht werden, nur nicht in den Garten, aber im Hof oder in der Weinstube. Die Gestaltung der Räume ist sehr liebevoll und der Rabe zieht sich durch das Weingut.

Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt. Service, Ambiente und Essen wirklich gut.

Ein schöner Abend zu sechst mit einem tollen und aufmerksamen Servicepersonal. Es gab einen Gruß aus der Küche, leckeres Brot mit einem Dip. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker, reichhaltige Portionen. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr stimmig. Empfehlenswert!

Die Auswahl an Speisen ist auf die Tageskarte begrenzt, Qualität war leider nur befriedigend (kalte Bratkartoffeln). Service bei größeren Gruppen leicht überfordert, mussten mehrfach dem Servicemitarbeiter hinterherlaufen. Räumlichkeiten großzügig.

Leider waren bei meinem Winzer Steak mit Bratkartoffeln die Bratkartoffeln nicht wirklich gebraten und auch nicht heiß... Bei anderen Gästen war das genauso. Wir hatten 4 mal Bratkartoffeln als Beilage. Schade eigentlich denn die Steaks (auch Rumpsteak) waren echt lecker

Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier hin. Toller Service, schönes Ambiente (insb. draußen) aber die Küche ist ein echtes Highlight. Raffinierte, auch wechselnde, saisonale Speisen, die nicht nur bezaubernd angerichtet sind, sondern auch stets eine gewisse Finesse haben und immer hervorragend munden. Sehr empfehlenswert! Wir verbrachten einen netten Abend in schöner Atmosphäre mit aufmerksamer Bedienung. Meine Gnocchis waren jedoch überhaupt nicht nach meinem Geschmack und erinnerten mich eher an riesige Klumpen aus geschmacksneutralem Grießbrei und die Weinpreise sind "recht stolz" bemessen. Unser Feldsalat war aber sehr lecker angerichtet. Der Besuch und das Ambiente haben sich gelohnt.

Zunächst einmal freut man sich über einen großen und kostenfreien Parkplatz. Mehrere teils kleinere, teils größere Gebäude sind zu einem Komplex verbunden. Diese beinhalten Gästehaus, Vinothek und das Restaurant. In dem daraus entstehenden Innenhof und dem Garten kann man wunderschön und ruhig sitzen und das leckere Essen genießen. Bereits bei der Ankunft fühlt man sich durch das durchweg super freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal willkommen. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar, aber völlig ausreichend. Vom klassischen Flammkuchen bis zum perfekt gebratenen Rumpsteak dürfte hier für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei sein. Selbst eine separate Speisekarte für Kinder ist vorhanden. Die großzügige Weinkarte verlockt zur Weinprobe. Auch im Restaurant besteht die Möglichkeit zur Verkostung der Weine. Alle Zutaten wie Ambiente, Geschmack und Service vereinen sich hier zu einer perfekten Melange.

Die Mitarbeiter sind etwas kühl zu den Gästen das bin ich von meiner Heimat anders gewohnt. Preise sind schon sehr happig. Kann man mal essen gehen aber nicht jeden Monat.

Wir waren jetzt schon öfter im Brennofen essen. Der Service war immer extrem zuvorkommend und das Essen spitze! Kompliment an die Küche! Hier wird noch mit richtig guten Zutaten gekocht! Wir kommen wieder!

Wir hatten uns recht spontan entschieden dort zu übernachten und waren total begeistert. Sehr freundlicher Empfang, dass wir ohne vorherige Reservierung kamen war kein Problem. Wir bekamen ein gemütliches, helles Zimmer mit einem schönen Bad. Donnertags wird draußen im Hof Lachs am offenen Feuer gegrillt. Nun war uns auch klar warum am frühen Abend des Donnerstag zahlreiche Gäste anwesend waren. Leider hatten wir bereits am Mittag gegessen, so dass wir nur eine Kleinigkeit bevorzugten. Flamm-Kuchen, ein tolles Salatbuffet mit ausgefallenen Salaten und Kartoffel mit Kräuterquark. Alles frisch und sehr lecker. Dazu ein ausgesprochen freundlicher Service durch Frau Leonie, die uns auch mit Informationen aus der Küche versorgte, weil uns das Rezept eines besonderes tollen Salats interessierte. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und mit allem, was man gerne mag. Im hellen Gastraum mit Ausblick auf den wunderschönen Garten, in dem man gemütliche Stunden beim Wein verbringen kann. Sollten wir noch einmal in die Pfalz kommen- wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder im Weindomizil Brennofen einkehren.

Wir waren zum Geburtstag eingeladen. Es war im Raum links am Eingang, es war laut beim unterhalten. Das Essen war sehr gut, der Service auch ganz toll. Es war ein rundum schöner Abend.

Das Ambiente im Garten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Speisen sind liebevoll zubereitet und für mich war der Flamkuchen perfekt, dazu ein feinherber Rosé vom Winzer des Hauses. Danke für den gelungenen Abend.

Wir haben 2 Nächte im Brennofen bzw. Weingut Schmitt übernachtet. Ganz tolle neu renovierte und große Zimmer. Der Garten ist wirklich traumhaft schön, eine richtige Oase zum Wohlfühlen. Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Das Abendessen war richtig klasse. Wir waren 10 Personen und hatten mehrere unterschiedliche Gerichte. Alle waren total begeistert, super Qualität, vollmundiger Geschmack und sehr schön angerichtet. Alles in allem ein perfekter Abend. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung, weil sich das Restaurant deutlich von amderen abhebt.

Schöne Räume, toller Garten. Jedoch sind die aufgerufenen Preise überteuert. Für Rumpsteak nur mit Brot, ohne Salat 25 Euro zu verlangen, ist nicht angemessen.
