Sehr leckeres Essen, Menü für Kinder gibt es auch (Nudeln, Schnitzel, Pommes...), schneller Service, sehr guter Espresso und Kuchen. Mit vielen Gästen wird es etwas lauter, aber kann sich trotzdem normal unterhalten.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Das Essen war schön angerichtet, von guter Warenqualität aber nur durchschnittlich im Geschmack. Als Familienausflug zu empfehlen, da viele Tiere zu bestaunen und zu streicheln sind, auch Pferde. Da schlägt jedes Mädchenherz höher. Die Preise sind ok für die Bioqualität.

​Unser Besuch war bedauerlicherweise von einer Atmosphäre geprägt, die uns bereits beim plumpen Empfang vermittelte, als Gäste nicht willkommen zu sein. Nach einer zehnminütigen Wartezeit ohne Speisekarte mussten wir diese erst proaktiv anfordern, als das Personal bereits die Bestellung aufnehmen wollte. Ein spezifisches Anliegen bezüglich der Verpflegung unseres Kleinkindes – die separate Bestellung eines Eises, das explizit vorab serviert werden sollte – wurde trotz zweifacher Erwähnung ignoriert. Da die Servierung erst zeitgleich mit dem Hauptgang erfolgte, stornierten wir diese Position, die jedoch später fälschlicherweise dennoch auf der Abrechnung erschien. Den Schlusspunkt bildete die demonstrative Ablehnung unseres Trinkgeldes, welches uns wortlos zurück auf den Tisch gelegt wurde. Aufgrund dieser mangelhaften Servicekultur können wir das Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Wir waren heute Mittag in der Hofküche essen und sind rundum begeistert. Schon am Eingang wurden wir sehr freundlich und ausgesprochen höflich empfangen – ein wirklich gelungener Start. Auf unsere Anfrage nach einem Tisch für zwei bekamen wir einen wunderschönen Platz draußen an einer sonnigen Stelle. Das gesamte Team war durchweg aufmerksam, herzlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war einfach fantastisch: Der Burger war perfekt zubereitet, der Wein exquisit, und zum Geburtstag gab es sogar ein Stück Rüblitorte mit einem liebevollen „Happy Birthday“-Stecker – eine sehr schöne und aufmerksame Geste. Auch der Espresso war hervorragend. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir unseren Service durch Seydi: äußerst höflich, professionell und aufmerksam – ganz im Sinne der „alten Schule“. Er hat regelmäßig nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist und ob wir noch Wünsche haben. Auch die anderen Servicekräfte waren stets präsent und haben sich erkundigt, ob es uns gut geht. Insgesamt war es ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt, der durch den Anlass des Geburtstags noch einmal besonders geworden ist. Vielen Dank für diesen wunderbaren Tag insbesondere an Seydi – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wir waren dort Sonntags zum Essen, daher keine Beurteilung der Zimmer. Essen sehr gut, Ambiente ganz toll und Service sehr aufmerksam und höflich. Ich war das erste Mal dort und werde jetzt öfters dort Essen gehen. In der Woche sind auch die Verkaufsräume Markthalle, Metzgerei, Bäcker und Käseverkauf geöffnet. Werde ich unbedingt testen. Alles Bioqualität. Im Restaurant werden auch preisgünstige Speisen angeboten und auch vegetarische und vegane Gerichte.

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, warum dieses Hotel hier zur Bewertung auftaucht. Also, es ist nicht gerade günstig, aber man bekommt kostenloses Brot und große Portionen. Das Essen ist wirklich gut, aber ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher, ob es wirklich „vom Bauernhof auf den Tisch“ kommt, also sollte man darauf vorbereitet sein. Ich gehe trotzdem gerne hin und werde wiederkommen.

Das Essen könnte besser sein. Die Champignon Rahmsauce schmeckte wie aus der Tüte und wie zuvor schon in Imbissen gehabt. Meiner Meinung nach nicht selbstgemacht.

Tolles empfehlenswertertes Restaurant. Tolle Gerichte die Mega zubereitet serviert werden. Sehr freundliches Personal ud i tolles Ambiente. Die Preisgestaltung für solch tolle Gerichte ist mehr als in Ordnung. Wir kommen wieder 😍🤩

Wir bestellten die typische Weihnachtsgans. Das Gericht wurde uns innerhalb einer Minute serviert, lauwarm, mit sehr wenig Soße, das Sauerkraut war roh und trocken. Preiselbeermarmelade und Apfel fehlten. Wir hatten uns nicht für Brust oder Keule entschieden, sondern bekamen wahllos verschiedene Stücke. Die Qualität an sich war gut, und man konnte die Bio-Qualität schmecken, aber es war kein traditionelles Gänsegericht. Der Preis von 40 Euro pro Portion war dafür relativ hoch. Das Restaurant liegt zwar schön, aber die Bedienungen waren fast alle sehr unfreundlich. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Die DOMÄNE Mechtildshausen ist eine -auch optisch- gute Einrichtung. Aber hat der Chef der ganzen Anlage noch nie die schlechten Bewertungen gelesen? Ein paar wenige der Bedienungen sind für den Serice einfach untragbar - hier muß echt mal jemand für Ordnung sorgen !

Besuch der Gaststätte "Hofküche" in historischem Gebäude. Freundliche Bedienung. Gutes Essen auch für Vegetarier. Gerne wieder.

Das Essen war so weit ok. mehr leider nicht. leider kam die Vorspeise mit dem Hauptgang und einzelne Gerichte waren lauwarm. Geschmacklich ok.

Es handelt sich nicht um ein Hotel, sondern ein Restaurant. Wir sind öfter dort, weil es bis 16:00 warme Küche gibt und bisher immer zufrieden gewesen.

I haven't been served so rudely in a long time. I was immediately turned away. The entire place is empty, but there aren't any free seats for another 30 minutes. Then a horde of people leave, and even when we asked, they very rudely told them to wait 30 minutes. A couple arrived shortly after us. They were just as rudely told they would have to wait 20 minutes. Such a beautiful place. Unfortunately, the staff paints a different picture. They turned around on the spot.

Yes, I highly recommend this place. The service was friendly and attentive. The food, as well as the cake, were very good! I'll be happy to go back.

We celebrated our small family wedding in the farm kitchen. We were extremely pleased with the entire offering and the collaboration between the various craftspeople. From the decor and bridal bouquet from the florists, to the wonderful little cake from the pastry shop, to the friendly service and delicious food, everything was perfect for us on that day. The preparation and planning were also very pleasant in every respect! The price was completely justified and fair for us, and even exceeded our expectations.

The portions are very generous and incredibly delicious! It's best to reserve a table, as it's usually very busy. One server was a bit rude and caused a bit of drama, but the others quickly escalated the situation. Still, highly recommended!

We spontaneously visited the farm last Sunday and enjoyed a wonderful lunch there. To finish off, we tried our luck in the farm kitchen. Even though we were a large group (5 adults and 3 children), we got a wonderful, round table inside. First of all, that's no problem – we had wonderful, cool, and protected from wasps. Since my grandmother was in a wheelchair, they immediately brought us a ramp so she could easily go down the few steps. Very thoughtful. The menu was great. Not too overloaded, with something for everyone. We had the serviette dumplings with mushrooms, the tagliatelle with lemon sauce, the beef bourguignon with spaetzle, children's portions of pasta with tomato sauce, and chicken nuggets. Everything was incredibly delicious. We couldn't stop marveling at it. My son fell over while rocking his chair, luckily without any serious injuries. But a young waiter quickly came over and brought him an ice pack – again, super thoughtful. It was a fantastic experience, and I can recommend the farm kitchen to anyone. I'm looking forward to the next time. All the best to all the staff.

I'm reviewing this restaurant. The food is usually quite good. The service is sometimes a bit harsh—it's clear that some people are a bit hard to communicate with, and their tone is sometimes a bit off-putting. This doesn't match the location's pricing. At the Cafe Bohne next door, the management has a better handle on this.

The food didn't convince us, it was more like canteen food with an increased price!

I had called ahead about seating in the café. It said: enough places and no need for reservations. We took 2 guests with us when we were there, even though the tables were empty, there shouldn't be any seats/capacity available. We should go to the restaurant area! There was coffee and cake on hand and no seats available. It wasn't a nice start to the season. I had heard a lot of negative things since last year about the staff being dissatisfied and therefore not well-mannered towards the guests. So in 2025 for us, family, my company employees no domain. I hope there is an improvement in this regard.

We're always happy to come back! We always enjoy coming back. The food is delicious, the ambiance is perfect. The ingredients are often organic and from the farm. So far, we've always been satisfied and enjoyed our time. The service could be improved, but that's due to the concept. That's why we overlook this minor issue. Whether inside or outside, you can enjoy your meal here. There's often a special treat that suits the season. 👍 A walk can be easily combined with your stay.

No one in the bakery is wearing gloves. An employee swept the floor and then served a customer without washing his hands. He touched a loaf of bread with obviously dirty hands. This is not only a potential health hazard, but simply disgusting. I don't even want to imagine what the kitchen must be like.

We recently celebrated our son's baptism and then my birthday in the restaurant of the Domain Mechthildshausen - and it was simply unforgettable! From the first contact to the end of the event, we were accompanied by an extremely professional and friendly team. The great planning exceeded all of our expectations and allowed us to enjoy the day stress-free. The service staff was more than attentive throughout the day and evening and read our every wish from our lips. A particular highlight was the incredible cuisine. The dishes were not only a visual delight, but also exceeded all expectations in terms of taste. Our guests were consistently enthusiastic and praised the culinary experience highly. The selection of dishes was varied and presented with great attention to detail. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Domain Mechthildshausen. You made our special day an experience that we and our guests will remember with joy for a long time. Absolutely recommended for any kind of celebration!

Expensive but tasty food, service is a matter of luck. Some are totally courteous and smart, others bring the main course without drinks and the starters that were previously ordered separately...

On my first visit 14 days ago, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience and service. The food at this point was very good. Unfortunately, this impression was no longer fulfilled on the last visit. The drinks came well after the starters salad. Then it took a long time until the main course was brought. Three main courses were served here for two people. Among other things, something that wasn't ordered. The items ordered are missing the trimmings. These had to be reordered. Unfortunately, the schnitzel still met my expectations. The breading was not crispy but rather limp. Very unfortunate.

Very idyllic in spite of being right next to a military base. If you enter the courtyard you are greeted by this relaxing safe haven. Food was really delicious and the prices were adequate.

Insane potential that unfortunately, like many things in public hands, is not properly utilized. We were greeted with a shake of the head at 4:30 p.m. when we asked if we could sit on the terrace.

The service was very good. The staff was friendly, attentive and professional. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and helped us with great recommendations which turned out to be a hit. The ambience, the service and especially the food were first class. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality and enjoyable meal.

Went to the domain this afternoon to show my guests this beautiful facility. The enthusiasm was great, the shopping in the cheese shop, the bakery and the vegetable market was done with wide eyes and, stimulated by the wonderful smells, a feeling of hunger also became noticeable. So, spontaneously the 4th went to the “court kitchen” and were warmly welcomed. Outdoors or would you prefer indoors? We took advantage of the good weather and had plenty of space at a large table. Service from the staff and the boss was top notch! The selected drinks and food came quickly, very tasty and fresh. We would have liked to stay longer, but the journey home was imminent and that was still several km away. Thank you and happy to come again on your next visit.

Everything is quite expensive, which can be understood by the fact that some things are made in-house and organic. It's nice to sit outside, it's ok inside too, definitely a matter of taste. But! With a few exceptions (especially the trainees/young employees), the staff is very inattentive or simply ignorant. Despite making eye contact with a waiter (who was standing inside) when I was standing at the front door, he turned around and left again, even though I had been standing there waiting for a few minutes. At some point a young woman took pity on me. We just wanted to buy ice cream from the front of the car.

Here the guests' wishes are read from their lips!!! Really great professional service and very personable!! We felt very comfortable and the food was simply delicious and fresh. Absolutely recommended, thank you very much… we will be back.

Today, on Sunday, the two of us had lunch at the Domain Mechtildshausen - Hofküche Mechtild. After our aperitifs had been served, the schnitzel from Domain Schwein with lemon, capers, cranberries and potato salad arrived surprisingly quickly. Unfortunately, the schnitzels weren't really warm and were too firm to be fresh from the pan and the potato salad tasted quite neutral. We complained immediately and the service responded promptly and understandingly, apologized several times and the menus were re-served to us as a complete replacement, this time freshly prepared and hot. They tried very hard and were friendly to make us happy and were genuinely interested in asking about any further points of criticism. To make up for it, we were offered two espressos and we were also allowed to choose two pieces of cake from the cake counter, even though we didn't want to accept this offer. The service and management of the house are really first class and exemplary. Thank you very much again for that!

Das Restaurant ist in einer schön restaurierten Wandelhalle untergebracht, die einen fast schon mittelalterlichen Flair verströmt. Leider ist die Akkustik eher schlecht: es hallt sehr stark. Unterhaltungen werden daher etwas anstrengend. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommen und ehrlich gemeint am Gast interessiert. Sehr praktisch: direkt vor dem Eingang befinden sich 4 Ladesäulen. So kann die Zeit zum Laden des Fahrzeugs genutzt werden.

Wir wollten uns eigentlich nur die Hofläden anschauen und sind dann spontan noch essen gegangen. Obwohl wir keine Reservierung hatten haben wir noch einen Tisch auf der Terrasse bekommen. Das Essen war gut, wenngleich geschmacklich durchaus noch Luft nach oben ist. Dafür, dass ausschließlich Biozutaten (mit wenigen ausgewiesenen Ausnahmen) verarbeitet werden, gibt es trotzdem volle Punktzahl. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Die Hofküche Mechtild bietet in schönen Räumen sehr, sehr leckeres Essen mit höchster Bio-Qualität der Zutaten. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist für die Größe der Portionen und die Güte der Zutaten schon fast zu günstig, wenn man es mit den allgemeinen Preisen in Wiesbaden oder Mainz vergleicht. Die Karte ist übersichtlich und bietet eigentlich für jeden Geschmack etwas. Dazu kommen noch vielfältige Tagesgerichte, die die Auswahl schän ergänzen. Service war auch immer zufriedenstellend. Wir kommen weiterhin gerne.

Das Essen war sehr schön angerichtet und hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Die Servicekräfte waren sehr aufmerksam und sind auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen.Auf der Terrasse war sehr schön und fast wie im Urlaub.Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

War heute mit meiner Familie zum essen in der Hofküche Domäne Mechthildhausen, schon die Begrüßung hatte uns sehr beeindruckt, das Personal war war trotz der großen Hitze und voll besetzter Terrasse sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Es dauerte etwas bis das Essen kam aber es war alles frisch und lecker 😋 Werden die Hofküche bald wieder besuchen ( aber mit Reservierung) erspart die Wartezeit)

Ich war letztens mit meiner Mutter in der Hofküche Mechtild zu Mittag essen. Wir waren beide sehr begeistert. Der Service sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Bei Fragen bezüglich des Essen, ob man eine Veränderung machen könnte ,oder ob es eventuell kleine Portionen gäbe, ist man uns sofort entgegengekommen. Das Essen war hervorragend und hat wundervoll geschmeckt. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen :-)

Die Lage des Restaurants ist traumhaft in das Hofgut der Domäne eingebunden. Optisch ein wirklicher Hingucker! Allerdings lässt die Qualität des Essens sowie Kompetenz und Freundlichkeit des Personals zu wünschen übrig. Kommunikation zwischen Küche und Servicepersonal ist mangelhaft und geht auf Kosten des Wohlfühlfaktors für die Gäste. Mehrmals werden Änderungen / fehlende Produkte bei Gerichten erst nach Bestellungsaufnahme mitgeteilt oder einfach Alternativen serviert, sodass das ursprünglich bestellte Gericht gar nicht so wie gewollt beim Gast ankommt. Unkonzentriertes Personal - wir haben auch die Fähigkeit vermisst, sich für Fehler zu entschuldigen. Hier werden wir definitiv kein zweites Mal Gast sein..
