A great place to watch football matches.

Very crowded on Saturday nights. A nearly endless selection of sports with numerous screens. The fish and chips were very good, as were the accompanying sides. The fast service was commended, despite the crowds and the dismal situation.

Quite the atmosphere. Disco fog, well chosen 80ies pop bangers, lots of sports screens and a labyrinth-ish pub world (in a good way) with lots of corners for you to choose where to hang out exactly. The explicitly announced sports events were nowhere to be followed with commentary - which still would've been ok to me. What really turned me off then was my game being switched off without any announcement or commentary somewhere in the middle of the 2nd quarter. Along with all the screens in the pub jumping to random accompaniment animation mode. Mind you, the "NFL Thanksgiving Games" were an outspoken point on Waxys' events announcement for the day. What also would've been nice: beeing made aware of the place's special offers for the day when I checked out the website 2 days in advance - as opposed to only discovering them when hovering to the qr-menu's food section again upon wanting to order a last drink.

We landed there on a friday evening during football games. It was complicated to get a seat, especially we had to look everywhere by ourselves to find a spot. After this it was okay, drinks come quite fast, but the food came much after. It was tasty and after some time it turns into a night bar/club which is cool.

A wonderful evening with friends. Friendly staff and a fantastic party with great music in the evening. I'd gladly come again.

The place is good, but security’s attitude so bad, i forgot my bag and they just didn’t allow me to get in! I was about to put 5 stars to this place, but the guard were so unprofessional

Very good bar/restaurant, excellent atmosphere. They broadcast various sporting events on the TVs. Very good food and they have a wide variety of beers.

I was there at 10:30 PM, but after waiting 10 minutes, they said the bar was closed. We came in for a beer with friends, and it said the place was open until midnight. The service was so-so. I didn't understand the business's logic.

We arrived at 10:25 PM. We waited 15 minutes; the waiter kept walking around, saw us, and didn't come over. When we called him, he said the bar was closed. He didn't even apologize.

Really nice and lively atmosphere. The service was excellent and super friendly — especially the Spanish lady who was very kind and patient. However, I wasn’t happy with the dessert. The carrot cake didn’t taste fresh and seemed a bit old. Still, overall a great place to hang out and enjoy the vibe

Warning to sports fans: Unfortunately, there's no sound for the broadcast after 9 pm. Otherwise, it's a good pub. We wanted to watch a rugby match here. Unfortunately, only the picture was being shown, not the sound. We were told that the "Club" started at 9 pm and therefore only loud music was playing. This was very annoying, because if an Irish pub claims to be showing a specific match, then you should expect the sound to be available as well. Otherwise, the pub makes a good impression, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious! However, the experience described above was quite frustrating.

Cool place, but it was way too crowded!! They let everyone in even though the place was already packed. It's a real shame. You should try to keep people calm and sell fewer tickets.

The lady with all the earrings is very rude and gets overwhelmed pretty easy, creating a toxic environment and bad experience not only for customers but also for her colleagues which were all nice and trying to find solutions.

There are screens everywhere, and at peak times it's very loud and crowded. The food was delicious and came very quickly. Drinks took a while, but the place was also packed. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.

We had reserved a table for four for an Eintracht Frankfurt game. Unfortunately, we didn't make it until around 8 a.m. instead of 7:30 p.m., so we contacted the phone number listed on the website. When we finally arrived at 8 a.m., we were told in no uncertain terms at the door that our reservation had expired, why were we too stupid to read the posted time (despite the change), and to please leave. After several minutes of discussion, the mistake was finally recognized, but neither an apology nor anything else followed. Next time I want to be insulted at the door, I might give the place another chance; otherwise, never again!

In from Buffalo NY, wanted to watch a Bills game. Manager was quick to get a table and a tv with the game on. Food and drinks were good, great atmosphere. Good place to watch a game.

My absolute favorite Irish pub for watching football and enjoying a relaxed evening with a freshly tapped Guinness! 🍺 The atmosphere is always warm and cozy, just what you'd expect from an Irish pub. Whether you're coming with friends to watch the football or just want to spend a good night out, you'll immediately feel welcome here. The service is friendly and attentive, and the drinks selection leaves nothing to be desired. For me, this is definitely the place to go when it comes to a good atmosphere, sports broadcasts, and an authentic pub experience!

I have been a fairly regular customer at Waxy's for the past 22 years and, for me, it's like a home from home and will always hold a special place in my heart as that's where I met my husband! The service and food are good and they show lots of different sport. Even if your match/event is not pre-announced on the website as being shown, ask in advance and they can normally organise it for you on a screen (with a table booking). It is very easy to make contact and book a table/area. They communicate well and are very organised. Even if they are often super busy, they are friendly and cope well! This will always be my favourite place to go for a post-work/pre-dinner drink or to watch Crystal Palace beat Liverpool. ;-)

Waxy's Irish Pub is, in my opinion, one of the best bars in the city! A super cozy atmosphere, delicious drinks, and a truly authentic Irish pub feel. I'd especially like to mention the bartender, Kai – he's incredibly attentive, friendly, and has a real feel for his guests. Thanks to him, I immediately felt at home and received excellent service throughout the evening. If you want to experience a great evening in an Irish pub, definitely come here!

One of the finest guiness I've tried, good for watching sports as they have number of screens both indoor outdoor. Fast service and Amazing Vibe.

Plenty plenty plenty of screens . They showed English, Italian , Scottish , Bundesliga 2 when i was there. Fantastic crowd and atmosphere. Edit: I came back the next day(Sunday) , they opened at noon, and where Germany takes a break , Waxy opens and even showed F1 , I really appreciate these champs for keeping people who follow sports sane on a Sunday !

Fun place. Friendly bouncers, good dance floor, clean restrooms, cheerful cashiers, very good drinks, and a cool atmosphere.

Great spot for watching sports. I came to watch the Steelers game, and the EuroBasket final between Germany and Turkey was on too — the atmosphere was electric. The staff are really friendly and even made sure I had the Steelers game on one of the screens.

Great place to watch NFL football in Frankfurt. The guy running the TVs had no issues changing one to the Lions game. They also play NFL Redzone on quite a few TVs which was awesome. Fish and chips were great, as well as the beer.

Disappointing experience! The chicken was cold, likely pre-cooked and not fresh. They didn’t provide forks or napkins, assuming we’d eat with our hands, which felt dismissive. Service needs improvement, and food quality should be fresher.

I was staying in Frankfurt and wanted some food from home and while sitting in the bar I ordered fish & chips, the fish was perfect but the chips was under cooked and I think it was suppose to mushy peas but it did not resemble or even taste like mushy peas. I had also ordered a beer but even though it was put through I never got it and waited for about 15mins before asking another server I then received the beer. In all it has bad service.

I would not have thought that an Irish Pub has great food. But this one actually had. I had the most delicious goat cheese salad. It came with a very generous amount of goat cheese which was very delicious. The dressing was flavorful. Well made Salad! The Guinness was chilled. They have a DJ at night on the weekends that start around 11pm. Mixed music. No entry and it gets crowded.

Pub is fine. I went in for food and to watch the tennis. Food was good and plenty of screens to watch sports. There's a lot of random guys sit on their own at tables who clearly aren't customers, who look like they just stopped in for a rest, but that's the only issue.

Nice place to hang out, but i get the feeling they think their customers are on the low side of the intellegence spectrum, or they are cheap. Ordered a whisky no ice, they brought one with ice, asked them to correct the order, they just filtered out the ice and gave me the same drink, hence watered down whiskey. Ordered a 2nd no ice, obvious color and taste difference. They are just too cheap to pour it out. Food is great, location is great, i just dont like my intelligence being questioned.

I had made a reservation for 5 last saturday night to watch the french Top 14 Rugby league final. The owner was very accomodating and gave us a perfect spot so we could also come with our dogs without too much hassle. A big thumb up for the kindness and the food as well!

We wanted to sit at a free table, which the staff said would be available after 30 minutes. An hour later, the table was still empty. When we politely inquired, the "manager" rudely addressed us and even threatened to throw us out. Apparently, he wanted to keep the table free for friends. Quote of the evening: "You say one word and you leave the place, I dare you one more word." Incompetent, arrogant, and completely out of place. People like that have no place in the restaurant industry.

Stopped by with a group of friends for a pint and chow. My wife ordered a bacon cheeseburger and was presented with a chicken bacon cheeseburger. The waitress apologized and offered to bring a beef burger within five minutes. My wife said she would try the chicken cheeseburger. Next time she will be more specific about what burger she orders. I ordered the fish and chips and was presented with the biggest piece of fish I’ve ever eaten as a fish and chips meal. I’m certain this is not to be expected all the time but it made up for the soggy potato wedges. We’ll be back.

A lovely Irish pub with good food and beer. The outdoor seating is a pleasant place to sit when the weather is nice, and its location makes Waxys Irish Pub an ideal spot for an after-work drink.

Food: The Guinness BBQ was okay. The meat was juicy and flavorful. The fries were well-fried. Sauces were served separately: ketchup and mayo. The fish and chips looked great. I would recommend them. The drinks are varied and served quickly and freshly. Service: We had great servers. Super friendly, authentic, fast, and fun. Ambience: The outdoor area is cozy and adequate. Inside, it's very authentic, and the feeling of being in a real pub is fully present. We'd be happy to come back and recommend the pub :)

Very friendly and nice staff. If you want to watch football in various leagues, this is the right place for you. Drinks are great and so are the snacks. You can stay in a tent here. If you ask, every drink will be explained to you. At the end we also got a shot on the house. Clear recommendation if you are here.

The pub was great, nice music but the menu of food is not wow, you don't have so many options. We had fish&chips and the grilled chicken Caesar ( salad) and was good.🤗

The Waxys is centrally located in the city center. the location looks very modern and inviting. The food tastes good, but the portions are quite small for the prices. The service is attentive but it takes a long time to bring the order to the table. Even if there isn't much activity. Conclusion You shouldn't necessarily come here to get full, to watch football and drink a few beers, the location is ideal.

Unfortunately, our visit was horrible. The behavior of the staff is appalling and particularly reflected in the fact that we were lied to and confronted with false accusations. What was even worse was that employees became violent for no reason. Personnel consequences are imperative.

Nice two story Irish pub. The usual types of beer on the menu. Service was quick and good. I had a burger with fries and didn't think it was good value for money. It's difficult to entertain when there are various parallel sports broadcasts on TV.

Great pub with good food and drink. Shows all football available across various leagues including UK Spain and Germany. Decent fry up and all the food is good quality and big portions. Chloe was especially kind and helpful but all the staff were too, highly recommended.

Very good selection of beers, the Snake Bite tasted really good 😊 unfortunately 2 stars deducted because one guest smoked one joint after the other and the service simply ignored it, it really doesn't have to be exposing the rest of the guests to passive drug consumption, legality or not.

Our evening at Waxys was a disaster. The employees were extremely unprofessional, responded rudely to questions about orders and ultimately even became violent - very frightening.

Never again, made a good impression at the beginning, but then there were so many very negative aspects. The highlight was that the person was lying in a very blatant way.

Can you also give 0 stars? A terrible place where the staff attacks visitors for no reason and also lies to them. The only recommendation for this place: keep your distance.

There was no response to repeated reservation requests for my birthday. Neither by phone, via WhatsApp nor via the normal request on the website. Unfortunately really sad because I would have liked to celebrate my birthday there. Ultimately we had to go somewhere else.

I was here with friends to watch rugby 🇮🇪🏈🍀 it is a cozy Irish pub in the middle of Frankfurt (near Hauptwache in the Schillerpassage) Here you can, among other things, watch Rugby (Six Nations), eat and drink very well and deliciously 😊 there is also live music and karaoke evenings... We would love to come back 👍🏻😊

Great place to watch games, recommend to make a reservation. Saturday nights turns into a millennial club with 5€ entrance.
