The Wasserwirtschaft is without a doubt a special place that's definitely worth a visit due to its exceptional location. The ambiance right on the water is beautiful and makes for a very pleasant stay. Especially in good weather, it's a great place to sit outside, enjoy the view, and take a little break from everyday life. The location is definitely a huge plus and sets the restaurant apart from many other restaurants in the area. I'd particularly like to highlight the service. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and always strives to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. You feel welcome, receive warm service, and questions or special requests are handled with patience and professionalism. This positive impression contributes significantly to the overall feeling of well-being. The food, however, unfortunately didn't completely convince me. The selection on the menu is solid and offers something for every taste, but the taste and quality are rather average. You get decent dishes that are okay, but they're not exactly standouts. For the price, I would have preferred a bit more refinement or at least a special taste experience. It's not bad, but it won't stay in your memory for long. In summary, one can say: The Wasserwirtschaft scores highly with a truly fantastic location and outstanding service, both of which make a visit worthwhile. However, those who place great value on culinary excellence will likely experience only mediocre results here. It's a good place for a relaxed outing with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service, but less suitable for a true gourmet experience. Therefore, I give it a fair 3 out of 5 stars overall.

Good food, unfortunately waited forever for the food

Four of us went out to eat yesterday. We made a reservation online in advance for the garden. Confirmation followed shortly after. Upon arrival, we were told they didn't accept reservations outside. Okay, we waited 10 minutes, and a table became available. Service was super friendly and quick. The drinks arrived at the table after 5 minutes. Unfortunately, the roast pork and shoulder of pork were really dry. The duck and goulash were delicious. The prices for the dishes are reasonable. The wooden folding chairs in the garden don't invite you to linger for long.

I only ordered a sundae, so I can't comment on the rest of the menu. I drank a Pepsi with it (3/5 ⭐). The ice cream was really delicious (4/5 ⭐). The restaurant looked pretty good outside, but the chairs were hard and uncomfortable. It's a nice place for a drink, but there are better ones.

I can't recommend this place between 3 and 5 p.m. The vegetarian dish was a disgrace (it was supposed to be cheese spaetzle). The chef should try to eat it himself. The excuse is that the apprentice did the cooking. Believers will be blessed.

An all-around feel-good place. Very friendly service. Steak with superb herb butter, colorful salad, grilled salmon fillet, baked potatoes: everything was top-notch, fresh, and very attractively presented. Great value for money. After a partial renovation, the interior is very well-designed and modern, yet cozy. The beer garden is very large with a great outdoor area. Almost like being in Upper Bavaria, only without the mountains, but instead located on the beautiful Regen River. A wide variety of self-service options, an outdoor bar, a grill, a large children's playground, and a mini zoo. EVERYTHING IS VERY NICELY DESIGNED! We would definitely come back. We were in the beer garden again recently. It's still a great place to be. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was really good again. However, the sharp price increase is something we've rarely experienced to this extent elsewhere! That's a real shame...

Very nice restaurant with delicious food.

We had a schnitzel cordon bleu. The schnitzel was freshly prepared, the fries were typically industrial, as in most restaurants, but tasty, and the salad was fresh but a bit overseasoned. On the day we visited, the beer garden was very crowded, so the service was barely able to keep up, but the food was delivered quickly. The restaurant is highly recommended.

My review is based on a visit to a beer garden on a Wednesday afternoon. There weren't many customers in the beer garden. The menu arrived after 10 minutes. After that, no one else came. I had to signal my presence several times to place an order. By the time the food arrived, my beer glass was empty. Unfortunately, I wasn't asked if I wanted another drink. So, service was really likeable: I ignored the customer. The second beer I ordered arrived 15 minutes after the meal. Oh well. The roast pork was okay. But at €17.50, it was too expensive. Note: The tables are on a concrete surface. You might like it, but you might not.

We arrived as part of a very large group (2 buses, a company outing) as we had registered. Unfortunately, we couldn't sit outside due to a thunderstorm. The interior is very nice, with tables that provide enough space for everyone to eat. The staff are very friendly, but of course, given the size of the group, everything took a long time. The roast pork we ordered in advance wasn't ready until 5 p.m. It was too late for us; we had to change our minds. I thought that was a bit of a shame, as we had announced we were coming (with a time limit). The wait for the food was quite long. My schnitzel was very good and generous, and the salad was fresh and tasty. All the other dishes looked very appetizing, and my colleagues were very satisfied. I heard that the salads at the table next to me were generous and very tasty, both vegan and with turkey strips. I will definitely go back.

The beer garden is beautifully situated. The staff is very friendly. There's plenty of parking. Unfortunately, the prices are steep. We wanted to make a reservation for a larger group, but we didn't do so because of the prices.

We've been here several times because everything is just perfect. The food is very good; I like the lumberjack steak with homemade herb butter. A few years ago, they renovated and expanded the place extensively. It was definitely worth it. The large beer garden is an experience. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely recommended! Nice atmosphere, friendly service and very tasty food. We had onion roast beef, cheese spaetzle, side salads and Kaiserschmarrn. You can park right in front of the door.

We went to the water department again at lunchtime. We found a pleasant, quiet place. The friendly waitress quickly took our order. The roast pork with very tasty sauce and the cordon bleu were exactly what we expected. A really good choice! A return is a given.

Very disappointing - I'll never come back I was very disappointed with this restaurant. We ordered a roast pork but it was totally dry and hard. A roast pork is supposed to be juicy and tender - this one was the opposite. We tried to talk to the boss about it in a friendly manner. But she just said that it was a matter of taste and that roast pork was dry. A refund was refused because “no one complained today.” She was very rude and put herself above us. She kept saying that she was packing the roast to take away - even though we made it clear that it wasn't good and we didn't want it. No solution was offered, no different food, no discount, nothing. That's not how you treat guests. I'm definitely never coming back.

We had lunch in the restaurant, after 20 to 25 minutes we were noticed by the service staff and upon request we were also given the menu. We had schnitzel Viennese style and cheeseburger with fries, The schnitzel was top notch in terms of processing and temperature. Unfortunately my burger 🍔 had already lost a lot of temperature and the fries 🍟 weren't at the best temperature. The soft drinks should be noted, my cola was missing carbon dioxide in both drinks, that's not possible, just syrup and water. With 32 outdoor tables and an average of five seats, 3 people are not enough service staff. I also didn't like having the food served without a tray. Perhaps it would be more effective to serve several dishes at the same time instead of bringing each dish and drink to the table individually. We would like to try a Mittastisch with you again.

You're looking forward to a delicious roast pork - but what you get is dry, tough meat. Something like this should be juicy and soft. You could hardly eat it. We barely ate the meat... You try to talk to the boss in a friendly manner. You explain that the meat is too dry. But she reacts unfriendly and condescendingly. She just says: “It’s a matter of taste, roast pork is just the way it is.” No apology, no understanding. You ask to cancel, but she refuses. She says all the other guests today didn't complain either. Then she wants to pack the roast for you to take away - even though you say you don't want it because it's not good. You get no alternative, no discount, no accommodation. Just rejection and a rude tone. This is not how you treat guests! I won't come anymore.

Six of us had lunch in the cozy beer garden on May 1st. All the guests at the table were full of praise for the very friendly, competent service and especially for the excellently tasted fresh cuisine (roast pork, farmer's duck, cordon bleu, lamb shank) Simply good! Despite the very high number of guests, the waiting time was kept within limits. A stop here is recommended. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately I can't enter 0, terrible service. Roast pork sher dryer I complained about the dish and not only did he not cancel it as an uneaten dish, he also said that it was. I practically go home without eating anything. never again!

On February 16, 2025, I visited the water management in Cham with four people. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, the service staff were very nice, courteous and quick. The food was freshly prepared and served very promptly. The only downer came with the bill. For sales of over €200, a fee of one euro and fifty cents per change was charged for changing the side dish from “Spätzle” to onion roast on “fried potatoes”. Surcharges for supplements changes are a relic from the last century. This action turns everything positive about the visit into discontent. If the host needs to carry out such actions to maximize profits, then keep it up. As long as this sentence is on the menu, we are unfortunately no longer able to visit the restaurant. And to be clear: This is not about the one euro and fifty cents, this is purely about the principle.

The food was great 😋 and the portions were huge, a thank you to the chef and the waitress... very attentive and quick service... Always happy...

"Der" Topp Biergarten in Cham. Herrlich am Regen gelegen. Ganz nahe an der Altstadt. Auch "drinnen" ab im Wirtshaus, im Stadl immer einein schöne Zeit. Super Schmankerl. Nette und flotte Bedienungen.

Die Wasserwirtschaft ist schön eingerichtet und hat eine nicht zu große ortstypische Karte. Wir waren mit 2 Familien dort und hatten u.a. das Thai-Curry, den Rinderbraten mit 2erlei Klössen, Wiener Schnitzel und den Veggie-Cheese-Burger. Alles hat gut geschmeckt mit Ausnahme der Klösse. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Dogs not allowed - when asked whether a cute little poodle was allowed in the empty restaurant at 2:30 in the afternoon, the waitress could only explain "I can't decide that". It didn't occur to her to consult someone who could decide. Unfortunately the restaurant has now lost us as guests. Also my husband's associated business lunches.

Unfortunately, you have to say that eating is a mess. Especially at the price. Wasn't great at all. The ambience is just right. Two stars because it could be worse...

We recently visited the water industry twice and unfortunately had two completely different experiences. My boyfriend and I went to the water industry on Valentine's Day and it was really nice. The restaurant was full, but the service was still very prompt and the food was very good. It was just a shame that we couldn't stay longer, even though it was so nice, because the table was given to another couple. The next day I went there again. We were a larger group and all ordered the same dish (onion roast). The waitress who served us served the food without asking what degree of cooking it was intended for whom and simply held the food out to us. We assumed that she knew who should receive which plate. Unfortunately, this blind trust meant that the person who wanted their roast roast well-done received a pink-roasted piece. When we brought this to the attention of the waitress, she was not very forthcoming and said we had ordered onion roast and she brought it. That's right, but she just gave each of us some random plate. You should probably also say the degree of doneness. There was no correction or offer to solve the problem. Not even an apology and that really bothers me in retrospect. We were simply dismissed nonchalantly with just a few words. In addition, communication was extremely difficult because the waitress spoke very poor German. I explained the problem several times, but maybe she just didn't want to understand me. In a private setting, exchanging dishes is not a problem, but in a more formal setting - especially given the prices - such negligence in service is not acceptable. I thought for a long time whether I should write a review, especially since our visit on Valentine's Day was so nice, but it still bothers me today. Especially that the waitress didn't even try to make up for her own mistake. This leaves a particularly negative impression on me. It's a shame that in a traditional Bavarian restaurant it's now better to order directly in English to avoid misunderstandings and explicitly ask again whether that's really the order that's placed on my table. All in all, I can definitely recommend the food, the young waitress on Valentine's Day was also very accommodating, so I don't want to lump the service together, only the mistake on Saturday unfortunately marred our visit considerably.

We have rarely been treated so unkindly in a restaurant. The older, dark-haired waitress gave the impression from the start that our presence was an imposition. Friendliness? None. The height of impudence was her reaction when we ordered another drink from another waitress. Instead of doing her job, she groaned in annoyance, “Kruzefix, I was just here” – as if a simple order was too much to ask. And so loud that we heard it. If you're going to complain about your guests, dear waitress, then please stand a few meters away from them. Is this the service you can expect here? If the waitress doesn't like her job, then she should look for another one. It was definitely the last time for us. Such disrespectful treatment is absolutely unacceptable.

No dogs inside... Ok, that can be the case... Gladly outside... standing at the door... waiter sees you... no card after 15 minutes... bye 😤 It's interesting, instead of apologizing or asking questions, people are constantly trying to erase this recession by giving false information.

Preis/Leistung leider weiterhin sehr schlecht. Holzfällersteak = ein kleines Schweinenackensteak von mäßiger Qualität, dazu kalte Bratkartoffeln ohne Salat für 17,90 € sind halt für eine Kleinstadt nicht nur frech, sondern unattraktiv.

The atmosphere is really very nice, I've been to the beer garden before, and today I was in the restaurant for the first time with great furnishings! The food was very, very tasty, we also had a dessert (Kaiserschmarn), which was also excellent! The service was also great and super accommodating and friendly! Unfortunately, our service was anything but helpful. It all started with the fact that the waitress (who looked Asian) spoke very poor German, which is problematic. She seemed incredibly unfriendly and kept us waiting forever. After ordering the first drink, we were left stranded, even though we tried several times to draw attention to ourselves and our further drink request by showing our hands and speaking to the waitress. Unfortunately there was no reaction from the Asian woman, we were simply ignored. Another waitress probably took pity at some point and brought us drinks. We were ignored in exactly the same way when we finished eating. We sat in front of empty plates for ages. Here, too, there was no interest from the service. Once again, after about 10 minutes, the other condition took pity and cleared away. The Asian woman was then ready to collect again. We didn't get our change until we asked, apparently she expected a tip. The food was really good, the portion was very sufficient and the shop itself is nice, but we prefer to keep our distance, this service scared us away!

We were in the water industry last week and would like to share our experience here. The location is really very nice, rustic and comfortably furnished. The ambience is generally very appealing and invites you to stay for a longer period of time. My companion had the onion roast and I had the Thai curry, both tasted very good and were beautifully prepared. Our visit was generally quite nice, but our service that evening gives rise to this review. We have rarely been served so unfriendly! We weren't given any menus for ages, our order was taken very curtly and rudely in broken German and we were practically ignored by the Asian waitress during the meal and treated like nothing, even though we would have liked to have ordered more drinks! Another waitress took pity on us and later cleared our plates too. Only when it was time to collect did she become quick again and cheekily asked what was wrong? I assume the request came because she didn't receive a tip. Who is surprised by the service? It's a shame, the food was really very good, but not again.

I ordered a Munich schnitzel today, which visually looked very good, but unfortunately the meat was so thin that you could only taste the breading, so I had it go back, the boss replied, all of our schnitzels are the same thickness! For almost 18 euros I would have expected more!

We had cordon blue with fries, it was good. I have mountaineering schnitzel with mushroom sauce and spaetzle. Spaetzle 2 stars, mushroom sauce probably water covered with flour, the plate was probably take mushrooms. E include none. No taste. The schnitzel was gratinated with cheese, so salty it wasn't edible. For me everything KV. Each dish for €17.90
