My first time eating here and oh man, where has it been all my life in Germany. I think this is the best Chinese food I’ve had so far here. Authentic cooking style. It took very long for the food to come today because we didn’t know it’s a particularly busy day due to Chinese Valentine’s Day. But they warned beforehand that it will take very long and we decided to wait anyway. They did their best to serve everyone despite limited server. And the food tastes amazing! I highly recommend! And better to call and book first, if you can. Edit: sadly, my favorite menu Knuspriges Huhn mit Teebaumpilz (Crispy Chicken with Tea Tree Mushroom) is discontinued.

The lady boss is not good. Let’s not talk about her stinginess. She doesn’t comment on the taste (she always brags about how good her chef is). Anyway, she is not good on her own. Ordering takeout, they called us at 19 o'clock and told us that it would take 40 minutes. After waiting for an hour, they told us that it would take another ten or twenty minutes. Then we went there half an hour later and had to wait for more than 20 minutes. It took two hours to cook a total of six dishes. I just didn’t cook them when no one was there. The six of us are all old customers and will not go there again. We really might as well go to Seng. If you don't welcome us to dine, we won't go. I went to order Guobao Pork, but they said there were too many people and it was too troublesome to make it. If you can't make it, why don't you put it on the menu? Also, when I ordered Sprite before, I poured half a glass of the sprite that was almost empty and then opened a new one to add in. I was wondering if the profits from drinks are so high, could you stop being so stingy?

The takeaway is not good. If you order takeout, the boss will deliberately not make your order until you go to the store to pick it up, which wastes a lot of time because you have to go to the store and wait.

The worst take-out experience in history. After ordering, I asked the waiter how long it would take to pick up the food. The waiter said it would take 40 minutes. When 40 minutes came, I called to ask, but only two were ready. Then I waited for another half an hour at this speed and went to the store to pick up the food. As a result, it was not ready. I asked the boss lady why it was so slow and took two hours? She actually said that we didn't come to pick up the food after 40 minutes, so she served the food to other tables first. What kind of logic is this? The dishes were not all ready at once, and then they waited for us. We didn't come, so they took the dishes out of the take-out box and served them to other customers who were dining in. If this is the case, what do other customers think? Are they eating reprocessed meals? So according to this logic, this is just an excuse for the boss lady. She didn't prepare meals for us during the time we didn't go to the store to wait!

Everything was super delicious! Authentic Chinese food is served, including fish, eggplant with garlic sauce, grilled potato and cabbage. Definitely recommended!☺️

Very tasty, authentic Chinese food. Large tea menu, and also a good selection of vegetarian dishes (tip: the eggplant!). The five of us were able to stop by on a Tuesday evening without a reservation, and the food came quickly. There was also a plum liqueur after the meal :) will definitely go again :)

I just realized today that I didn't successfully submit the last review I wrote. This shop is really, really good, its Guobaorou is really the best in all of Europe, highly recommended! You definitely have to try it. I wanted to cry when I took the first bite because I didn't know there was such a good Guobaorou here in Karlsruhe!

The food was sensational and authentically Chinese. I ordered the lamb with cumin. The jasmine tea with honey was very soothing. It's worth studying the menu here. There are common dishes but also ones that you couldn't order from every Chinese restaurant in this country. I would love to come back.

Well, since the price is the same, I would definitely choose the larger fish. When the agreed meal arrived, I arrived as promised. But I found that there were very few customers in their store. I didn't know why. The boss smiled and explained to me that the weather was too cold and all my customers had run away. (I don't know if it's really the cold weather). During this time, a German couple came into their shop and asked if they had sushi. The owner was very unfriendly and strictly refused: “No! I’m a grilled fish restaurant!” During the meal I noticed that there were customers who could pay by card. When I wanted to pay the bill after dinner, I politely asked the boss if I could pay by card. At this point, she immediately became impatient and unfriendly, frowned and said sternly: “I don’t usually accept card payments!” Although I was finally allowed to pay by card, I was very uncomfortable with the manager's inconsistent logic and attitude towards customers! A few words of advice to this boss: Don't think you're irreplaceable. Do not think that all customers can be deceived by smiles and nice words if they are contradictory in words and actions. A boss without a big heart usually can't make much money. I will never again go to a restaurant owned by someone who is not honest. Ask other customers to also pay attention to any seemingly “smiling boss.” In the message to which she replied, the owner of this restaurant not only made jokes and avoided important things, but also did not mention the topic of paying with a card at all. This is the best and most authentic Chinese food I have had in Europe in the past ten years. It is really delicious and the Waitress is very friendly. The restaurant in Karlsruhe if you are looking for authentic Chinese food. We've been there a few times now and will definitely come back. The selection is huge and the portions are pleasantly large. Price-performance ratio is right here. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The waiting time can sometimes be a bit long, depending on what time you come, you should bring a little time with you. We will definitely come back.

Unfortunately I can't say anything good about the restaurant. All in all, the service was ok, as was the food in general, but one thing completely ruined the whole visit. The three of us ordered a few things, a mix of things. Then the rice was added. The rice was completely overcooked, basically consisted of three large lumps and you could eat it with your tongue on the roof of your mouth - inedible. We pointed this out to the waitress and asked for new rice. Instead of apologizing and bringing new rice, there was discussion. This is the normal rice here and you don't have any other rice now, a new rice would take 40 minutes. We said no, had the rest of our food packed up and went home to cook some proper rice ourselves. Now for the even spicier part: all the other guests in the restaurant had perfectly fluffy rice, even the guests who arrived well after us had perfect rice. How can that be? What was striking was that all of these guests were Chinese (speaking Chinese and could be read that way). I don't want to imply anything here per se, but that was pretty obvious... I will avoid this restaurant as I did not feel comfortable as a guest on many levels. Maybe it was just a bad day, the other reviews say good visits, but it definitely wasn't a good day for me. At least there was a goodwill payment of €1.40 (€70 instead of €71.40 for three people)

Unfortunately, absolute disaster. We had dinner at Wangji yesterday and what can I say... The service is a complete failure. When we were finished eating, the entire staff, including the waiters, took their lunch break without even checking on the customers. I then had to loudly draw attention to myself so that we could finally pay. The food is at best fast food quality and I have even eaten much better at some Asian bistros. The dirty cutlery and plates from other guests were lying around on the table for an hour. Disgusting! The price-performance ratio is underground, far too expensive for poor quality. The map is completely confusing and really a pain in the ass. I can't recommend anyone to eat here, there are far better Chinese restaurants. You'd better take a look around the Passagenhof...

We came here because of good reviews. For us it was a wrong decision. We went in and had to wait 20 minutes until we could finally order. The starter came after 1 hour but we still didn't get the drinks. the food came afterwards. the food was ok. but not the burner. We've eaten better elsewhere. Service here is at zero! all tables are with empty plate and glasses. They just walk past instead of cleaning the tables. No one at the counter makes drinks or even at the table to ask if everything is ok, or something else to drink... nothing! the floor sticks everywhere! from the front to the toilet! disgusting!!! The table is cleaned with a dirty cleaning cloth! you can even smell how dirty it is. Pooh!! the menu sticks together. You can tell that they don't clean properly here. That was our first and last time here! never again!!!

Hello, I just ate sea bass with chili sauce and rice at Wangji. The fish was perfect, the service was super pleasant and attentive. If you fancy authentic Chinese cuisine, you should have a good time there. A little tip, this isn't a dish I would order 😉 Fish is a hit so it's definitely worth coming there.

We absolutely had to go there after Google said it was one of the 3 best Chinese restaurants in Karlsruhe. Since we love Asian food, it was obvious. Well, not great from the outside, ditto inside and the beer garden in the courtyard urgently needs to be renovated. There was great skepticism. Regardless, the first impression was underwhelming at all. Okay, choosing food and drinks, we thought that was cool. Unfortunately there is no cappuccino. 1- Minus point from my wife 😂. Instead, the best, hottest, seasoned shrimps with hoisin sauce, prepared so deliciously that I even burned my gosh. It hissed, it sizzled, it was absolutely delicious. Chef had duck with peanut sauce, vegetables and rice, I had to try it. It was pure enjoyment. It seems to be an insider tip among the Chinese in Karlsruhe. The kitchen gets ‼️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ >6 stars excellent 🥰. The price-performance ratio fits… We would like to have one wish: create magic in your ambience! We'll definitely be back

The three of us were here today on the recommendation of Chinese friends and ate wantan, jiaozi, then roasted duck, teppanyaki and mapo tofu as well as baozi 🐰 and drank golden chrysanthemum and sour plum. Teppanyaki was well seasoned and Mapo Tofu was spicy and everything was very tasty!! The back garden is nice, even if the path to the back is long and a bit back yard. Service very good and friendly and with waiting times.

Soooooooo cool! We recently went to Wangji by chance and didn't regret it! The food is amazing! Very authentic, very tasty! My Chinese wife was equally thrilled. The service was super friendly, but the atmosphere could be nicer. We are already looking forward to the next visit 🥰.

At first glance, the restaurant seems very empty and dark, but you shouldn't judge too quickly. The service is very, very friendly (that really needs to be emphasized) and the food was always served quickly. The starters were all very good, except for the stuffed wang tangs. Unfortunately they were a bit too crispy, but the skewers and the BBQ pork dumplings are very tasty. There is absolutely nothing to complain about when it comes to the main courses and we can particularly recommend the sweet and sour pork. Overall, the restaurant is much better than I think at first glance.

The Dongpo pork elbow is even more amazing, the meat is crispy and melts in your mouth, and the aroma is overflowing. The fried duck is crispy and delicious, and every bite is full of rich aroma. Stir-fried pork sausage is a real representative of Sichuan snacks. It is spicy and fragrant and whets your appetite. In short, this restaurant is definitely a must-visit for gourmets. Whether you are trying authentic Sichuan cuisine or enjoying the delicious food on the tip of your tongue, you will leave with a full meal.

Was there for lunch. Empty restaurant, almost everything is dark. I was about to turn back when the waitress came and said they were open. Just thought "Oh dear, where did you end up here?" But my doubts were quickly dispelled. Tables were clean and the food came quite quickly. Spring rolls and fried noodles with vegetables. Tasted good. Price was okay. Service was friendly. You can definitely do it.

Erstklassige chinesische Küche. Hat alles wunderbar geschmeckt. So gut habe ich in einem Chinarestaurant in Deutschland noch nie gegessen. Preise für die heutige Zeit sind normal. Das einzige was nicht gut ist, ist die schlechte Parkplatzsituation, aber dafür kann das Restaurant nichts dafür.

Toller Chinese, viele Speisen die man vom gewöhnlichen chinesischen Restaurant nicht kennt zum probieren. Wirklich lecker. Preisleistung passt. Wirklicher Geheimtipp in Karlsruhe.

Ein Freund hat uns das kleine Restaurant empfohlen. Küche soll wirklich typische chinesische Küche anbieten, nicht das, was sonst gerne in chinesischen Restaurants angeboten wird. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Das Essen war sehr und die Auswahlmöglichkeiten zwischen unterschiedlichsten Gerichten sehr groß. Bedienung war sehr freundlich und schnell. Viele asiatische Gäste, auch ein Hinweis auf authentische und gute Küche. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😃👍.

Man darf sich von dem etwas eingestaubten Ambiente nicht täuschen lassen. Hier kann man sehr lecker chinesisch essen! Vorspeise sowie Hauptgericht (Ente) waren sehr lecker! Auffällig viele Chinesen im Lokal (meiner Meinung nach immer ein gutes Zeichen). Die Karte kann etwas verwirrend sein, aber auch das gibt in der Endbewertung keinen Stern Abzug. Sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service!

The food is very authentic, seasoned perfectly, and tastes amazing ❤️ Especially the guo bao rou, dou ya, and fish!! The inside of the restaurant is deeper than you think and includes a beautiful back garden! The decoration is cute and pleasing with little bunnies :)) Visit this restaurant because the chef is the best and the family that owns the restaurant is also very nice and welcoming 🤩🤩🤩

Wow! The BEST Chinese/Sichuan food I've had in Germany in 12 years (and we're always looking!). Lovely place with a friendly and hard working server. The back garden is really nice. But the star is the food, we ordered way too much but everything we had was amazing, fried chicken with dried chilis, sweet and sour pork, and fish fragrant eggplant all some of the best versions we've had of these dishes anywhere including London and San Francisco. The dumplings we're tasty but did seem to not be homemade (they didn't claim to be) but two people couldn't eat all this food but we enjoyed leftovers for lunch very much the next day. Definitely a top visit in Karlsruhe, we'll definitely make the trip back to try more!

Нас было 5 голодных посетителей и 10месячный ребенок который за эти полтора часа уже умотался. К счастью еда была вкусная, но второй раз не вернусь, впечатление испорчено. Два официанта на два зала , тут явно плохая организация.....

菜的价格很高，但是份量真的很少，而且味道也就一般般。辣子鸡里面都没几块鸡肉，辣椒真的比鸡肉还多。芋头鸡里面都没几块鸡肉，一份还要快20欧。点的可乐3欧一杯，就是大瓶的饮料倒了一杯在玻璃杯里，杯子感觉也不是特别干净。性价比太低，不推荐！

很适合和朋友一起聚餐，尝到了各种地道的中国菜，不太能吃辣的我也觉得很好吃😋，小朋友点的馄饨也说超好吃，去的时候老板娘在做粽子。

Zu Mittag dort gegessen, von draußen sah es zu aus. Keine Beleuchtung, nichts was darauf hinweisen könnte, dass es offen war. Drinne war wirklich kein Gast, Kellner kam aus der Küche, musste erstmal fragen ob die geöffnet haben. Draußen gibt es eine Terrasse, die ist wirklich nett. Essen war auch ok. Gut die Vorspeise aus den kleinen Frühlingsrollen, jooo... Hauptspeise war ok. Werde es mal wieder vielleicht Abends testen, mag den Außenbereich.

Last time we were there we tried only the starters and this time we tried the regular dishes. Both times we were fully satisfied.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Mal dort. Das Essen ist einfach klasse, echt Chinsisch. Die Karte ist sehr umfangreich, wenn auch teilweise lustig aus dem Chinesischen übersetzt. Auch unserwn Kindern hat es sehr gut geschmeckt, können wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Wir hatten 5 verschiedene Gerichte. Von Tofu mit Hackfleisch über Tepanyiaki mit Huhn bis zu Sehnen mit Stangensellerie. Eine authentische chinesische Küche wie ich sie in Deutschland noch nicht erlebt hatte. Alle Gerichte hatten unterschiedlich geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Bin mit meiner Familie spontan ins Lokal essen gegangen und wir waren mehr als zufrieden. Das Essen war hervorragend und die Bedienung war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns vieles empfohlen.

Das Essen authentisch mit einem Touch der traditionellen Sichuan Küche. Preis Leistungs- Verhältnis passt. Wir kommen wieder! Weiter so WANGJI-Team (und bitte keine GeschmacksAnpassung an die europäische Küche)!
