Wang Lai in Bad Honnef

We found this place through Google during a trip and it was simply perfect! Wonderful food, good price and great service!

We were on vacation nearby and were guided here by Maps while looking for Asian food with takeaway options. Our first impression: a small food truck in front of a hardware store. They probably have some seating if the weather cooperates. Considering it's in the parking lot, it's really nicely decorated. However, it's not an "Asian restaurant" as the Google search suggests. Once you know that, everything's fine. I was thrilled with the food. It was truly delicious. My son and I had two vegetarian dishes, and everything was definitely fresh vegetables and very delicately seasoned. I've never had such a delicious meal at an Asian snack bar. The service was also very friendly and accommodating. We arrived at 5 p.m. sharp, very hungry, and yet we didn't have to wait long. At the same time, the food was freshly prepared right in front of my eyes. Unfortunately, I can't come more often. Truly delicious and highly recommended.

Originally just a mobile snack bar, the two have transformed it into a little gem for eating there, with lots of plants, even a small shrine, and the food is simply fantastic. The crispy ducks deserve their name...

Our little family love this place, we rarely skip a week of eating here and it's always our go to when we have visitors! A little flower oasis, so beautifully decorated, delicious food and the owners are super welcoming (their dog is very cute too )!

It's a bit hidden, in a very beautiful spot. The food is amazing! I eat here often; the Szechuan Artisan steak was so good.

A great food truck; we always enjoy coming here. The food is very good, made with fresh ingredients. My favorite is the hot shrimp platter. When the weather is nice, you can sit in the lovely, planted outdoor area.

After a very long drive from Austria, we arrived at a small culinary paradise surrounded by flowers and plants, warmly welcomed by the owners, and tucked away in a large garden center parking lot. Within moments, a delicious, freshly prepared meal was waiting for us. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

It tastes very tasty and the waiting time was great considering we didn't pre-order. It could perhaps be better signposted from the street. We only knew from friends that the “restaurant” existed. The portion was just right for me, but it might not be enough for taller people or men.

The food was very tasty and still warm even after the drive home. The food is inexpensive and was prepared quickly even without pre-ordering. Gladly again!

I simply have no words for the most incredibly delicious Asian snack food. We were passing through by chance and made a quick stop at the snack bar. Wow just delicious!!! I've eaten in many Asian and upscale restaurants but this is simply next level. It's a shame that we live 140km away. PS also the couple who run it, compliments, you are just great.

You haven't gotten out yet and are already being asked about your order. The food is undoubtedly good. The price is just okay for a street sale.

I am absolutely thrilled with this Asian snack bar! The operators are incredibly friendly and warm - you immediately feel welcome. The food is freshly prepared and the quality of the ingredients is truly remarkable. I would particularly like to highlight the Tom Yam soup – by far the tastiest I have found far and wide! Everything tastes authentic and the prices are more than fair. I am very happy to have discovered this takeaway and will definitely be coming back regularly. See you next time!

Delicious food! I couldn't find it at first because it was dark and raining. Yet it is really there, in the large parking lot. I was helped by extremely friendly and sweet people. I soon noticed that more people were coming by by car to get food. Several people came off the highway to get food here. I understand why because everything is freshly made and tastes great. Therefore: 5 stars. *****

Various delicious Asian dishes to pre-order online and pick up or eat there, various payment options. Very friendly owner. There is green curry, which is rare. Creating such an oasis with a shady pavilion and small garden in a small area in a hardware store parking lot deserves special praise.

I ordered food there for the first time yesterday and I was very impressed. The duck was just right, neither fatty nor dry and the vegetables were varied and on point. Gladly again.

The snack bar can now be found in the parking lot of the Advantage Center hardware store. The food is excellent, the operators are very nice and the prices are cheap (compared to the other Bad Honnef snack bars, they are actually very cheap).

exactly like the previous reviewer: mini portions. Ate there again today because of hunger and Sunday. red thai curry: afterwards the same hunger as before for 9.50 euros. no napkin. The food wasn't spicy despite the very spicy order and when I asked if I could get sambal olek there was a mini dollhouse spoon spread on my plate! even ed v laughs. lick in the freezer. actually zero stars. Oh yes: to pay you have to go to the closed window hatch and only after calling “pay” will it be lifted

The price-performance ratio is very bad! Fried noodles with crispy duck. We got a portion that was far too small for the price! After the meal we had to prepare something else at home because we weren't full. In addition, the food didn't taste like anything except oil. The ambience is somewhat ok.

A really good address when it comes to food. The owners are very nice and sustainable. When ordering and picking up, you will be asked if you can bring a bowl for rice. This saves packaging. Feel free to eat there or pick up.

Price performance 3 stars. Organizationally it's a disaster, always long waiting times of over 60 minutes, even when ordering online you have to wait another 40 minutes on site... This has nothing to do with a "quick" snack

Sehr nette Inhaber.Essen ist lecker und wird frisch zubereitet(deshalb etwas Wartezeit einplanen).Preis/Leistung ist völlig ok meiner Meinung nach. Portionen sind ausreichend und man wird satt. Waren jetzt schon öfter dort und werden noch öfter in Zukunft dort essen. Nur zu empfehlen.

Ich kam durch Zufall an diesen Imbiss! Aber defenitiv nicht das letzte Mal, obwohl ich nicht aus der Gegend komme... Super leckeres Essen, sehr freundlicher Service, toll angerichtete Speisen. Ich hatte die 78! Mein Highlight an diesem Tag. Ganz klar 5 Sterne, klare Empfehlung!

Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend... das Essen war ok... das Ambiente ist leider nicht ganz so toll. Unkraut etc könnten einfach mal entfernt werden, dann sieht es auch gleich ordentlicher aus.

Ein tolles Streetfood Erlebnis mit absolut leckeren asiatischen Speisen. Auch Sonderwünsche wurden erfüllt. Wir werden jetzt immer bei einem Besuch in Bad Honnef ein wenig Zeit zum Essen dort einplanen.

Ein Imbiss neben der Tankstelle und direkt an der Hauptstraße… das kann ja was werden 🙈 Und es wurde was: außerordentlich freundliches Personal, wirklich ausgezeichnetes Essen, ausschließlich aus Frischware - man kann beim Kochen zusehen, schließlich wird das ganze in einem Wohnwagen zubereitet. Wir können uns nur bedanken.

Also wir haben uns was hier geholt. Das Ambiente ist natürlich nichts. Neben der Tankstelle und direkt an der Straße. Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet. Für mich persönlich war es ein bisschen wenig gwürzt(eher laff) aber wie gesagt das ist Geschmackssache. Der Reis ist dagegen eine Katastrophe. Total verkocht und matschig. Sehr freundlich wird man behandelt.

Vor allem muss ich sagen: das Essen ist sensationell. Qualität, Zubereitung und Geschmack: hervorragend. Gut Ding will aber Weile haben, daher am besten bestellen und abholen. Absolute Empfehlung.

Wir haben dort jetzt schon öfter bestellt und waren immer sehr zufrieden! Viel Gemüse, frisch zubereitet und immer sehr gut gewürzt. Am Wochenende sollte man etwas mehr Wartezeit einplanen, das ist aber überall dort, wo frisch gekocht wird normal.

Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Ich habe bisher 2 mal hier gegessen und es war lecker. Es ist ein chinesischer Imbiss und man nur draußen (überdacht) sitzen oder mitnehmen.

Wir lieben Wang-Lai und sind froh, endlich so einen guten asiatischen Imbiss in der Nähe zu haben! Das Essen ist sehr frisch, mit viel Gemüse und super gewürzt. Die negativen Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Wer die volle Glutamat Dröhnung braucht ist hier falsch - wer freundlichen Service (ja, auch manchmal mit Wartezeit) und leckeres Essen sucht, ist hier richtig!

Sehr lecker und frisch. Auch angenehm gewürzt, sodass man bei Bedarf noch nachwürzen könnte- nach meinem Geschmack aber voll i.O. und nicht erforderlich. Sehr freundlich. Man kann auch mit Karte bezahlen. Sitzmöglichkeiten liegen in der prallen Sonne. Mittlerweile gibt es teilweise auch einen Sonnenschutz. Dauert manchmal etwas länger, da nur 1 Koch vorhanden. Gut besucht. Man sollte daher sicherheitshalber vorher anrufen. Insgesamt : Lohnenswert. War nun schon ein weiteres Mal dort. Das Essen war wieder geschmacklich ohne Beanstandungen, sehr, sehr lecker und auch qualitativ wieder sehr gut u d frisch. Kein Ölgeschmack. Kein Glutamatgeschmack. Magere Sossen. Ich bin absolut zufrieden. Fazit: Suchtgefahr!!!😁🤗 Bitte Qualität und Freundlichkeit beibehalten ! Ich bin ab heute dort Stammgast.

Habe auch letzte Woche zufällig beim vorbeifahren Samstags Abend um 21 Uhr gesehen das noch offen ist. Klar der Preis ist "recht hoch", wenn man aber zeitgleich die momentane Lage sieht kann man sehr zufrieden sein. Super freundlich, sehe gute Portion. Ich persönliche empfehle es sehr.
