Just great! Anyone who likes a cozy and good restaurant will like it. The food and service were top. There is good home cooking there. I'd love to come back.

After a lovely hike we stopped at the Sattelei Hut. The sausage salad that we ordered tasted very good. The delicious beer also gave us refreshment on the warm summer day. Nice, attentive service. We felt comfortable here. Great atmosphere in the middle of the forest. We will definitely come back on the next hike in Baiersbronn.

After about 10km of hiking, in the heat, this hut was a revelation. Service is still very important here and in a hut. Great selection of food and very appetizingly prepared. This was one of our best hiking breaks ever 😉

Very good food, taste wise 10/10, the portions were very fair, ready for the price. The price is very fair for this quality. and the staff friendly and helpful We paid €66 for 3 bottles of water (0.75 ml), 2 lemonades and 2 apple spritzers, a tarte flambée and a snack plate, which was very justified. Great place that invites you to linger. In the middle of the forest! Simply wonderful! Very friendly and attentive service. Upscale, but still very down-to-earth Black Forest cuisine! Special requests are also catered for! Very tasty wine. And cake. The tarte flambée is also highly recommended!

What an unexpected surprise, I didn’t expect to be able to taste delicious food in the mountains and forests. This is one of the best German meals I've ever had! The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very good. The wooden house always gives people a relaxing, warm and comfortable feeling.

Far from the town and at the foot of several hiking trails. A great place where you eat very well. The service is fast and very professional. The waiters are very friendly and all in costumes

Very nice hiking hut where you can eat very well after a hike. You can either sit outside in the shade or inside. Very nice waitresses. We were there with two dogs, which wasn't a problem at all. Food is very tasty and beautifully executed. We had a tarte flambée and the Leberkäse with bread and potato cucumber salad. The bread in particular was very good. For dessert there was a very good ice cream with strawberries, which we shared. We can definitely recommend the hut.

The guest service was extremely good, our waitress was called Jonas and he gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. He was always courteous and wasn't above nice small talk. Coffee and cake were very tasty and appetizing. The rooms were also very tidy and well maintained. Overall, an excellent experience that we will repeat soon.

Arrived 4.30 pm. Ordered a slice of black forest cake & a 0.3l pills beer. Had to eat fast as closing time approaches towards 5 pm I had a picture taken with the waitress 'cos of her wearing a Bavarian green traditional dress

We were there at lunchtime during the week. You can sit there very nicely, both outside and inside. There are many ways to hike there. You can also reach the hut by car. The hut was very well attended. We didn't eat anything, so we can't rate the food. Visually, however, the food was very appealing.

Great location.. super food. You have to walk here, cant come by car.. but it is sooooo worth it!

The spring salad with fried chicken breast with French dressing and wild garlic did not meet expectations for such a restaurant. The salad was overwhelmed with the dressing that was too thick, the chicken breast was not fried, but slightly fried if at all and then heated in a convection oven or cooked in broth (dry) and unfortunately also cold. The meat didn't see any spices other than the too many and too strong dressing. The farmer's bratwurst with sauerkraut was good, as was the farmer's bread that was served with it. The service was okay, as was the ambience, but because of the food I wouldn't recommend the Sattelei, it could be better!!

Truly the most beautiful hiking hut in Germany, both inside and outside with the best delicacies from the Bareiss and excellent service! We always enjoy coming back every year.

We have been coming regularly to the beautiful hiking hut since it opened. Unfortunately, the sausage salad no longer tastes like it used to. It's just salty, which may be due to the dressing. I've tried it so many times now but it doesn't get any better and I'm not the only one with this impression. Something new on the menu would be nice, especially for regular customers. Otherwise we are always happy to come.

We were warmly welcomed and had delicious food for lunch. After our hike we couldn't reach our car without stopping for coffee and delicious cake.

Very nice, well-kept, clean cabin. The food was really delicious and very attractively prepared. The service was super friendly. She also directly asked if she should bring our dog fresh water. All in all, a visit here is definitely worth it.

Yesterday I went hiking with my 85 year old neighbor. We wanted to walk to the saddlery to have lunch there. Unfortunately the hut is closed from February 15th to March 2024. There was no indication that it was closed either on your information page, on the signposts or on your sign along the way about opening times. That's why I only give negative points!!!

Very good cuisine, very professional friendly staff. The prices are reasonable. Located in the middle of the forest, this is a very beautiful place. The fact that no cars can drive here is a blessing on the one hand, but it is also a real disadvantage for people with walking difficulties.

What a great hiking cabin! The cozy interior, the beautiful beer garden, the surrounding nature, the traditionally dressed, friendly service, the very well prepared and seasoned food make a stay an unforgettable experience.

Very nice hut with a cozy atmosphere, just like you would imagine a stop after a hike. Very friendly service, incredibly tasty food and also dishes that you don't get everywhere (pumpkin bread dumplings with nut butter) Very, very good, we'll definitely come back on our next vacation!

Lots of wood in the hut ;-) I stopped there on a hike and was thrilled. Very friendly staff, very helpful, nice and competent. The selection of food is good and regional. The quality is at a high level and it tastes delicious. Worth mentioning is the excellent draft Pilsner: Alpirsbacher on tap, perfectly chilled with good carbonation, delicious in taste. The atmosphere is rustic, homely, warm and cozy, like a typical northern Black Forest restaurant, with lots of wood that creaks beautifully when you walk over it. The architecture is also successful and everything inside has been furnished with attention to detail. Simply great and always worth a visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️➕️

Such a nice place! We went there on Sundays at rush hour. Nevertheless, we still found a place. (Dogs welcome) and the waiter didn't take long to arrive. The food was served quickly and the service was attentive at all times but never intrusive. The cake, what can I say, a dream. The atmosphere before is cozy and rustic - simply very cozy! I recommend this hiking hut without exception.

Für "verwöhnte" Gäste des Hotels Bareiss leicht gewöhnungsbedürftig: man steht -zumindest bei Hochbetrieb - vor der Theke, wartet auf die Platzierung und wird einfach nicht wahrgenommen. Man muss ausdrücklich nachfragen. Ein Hinweis am Eingang zur Gaststube, dass "freie Platzwahl" angesagt ist, wäre für beide Teile sehr hilfreich!! Der "deftige Rindfleischeintopf" enthielt m.E. vergleichsweise wenig Gemüseeinlage und ich habe leider auch kein Rindfleisch feststellen können. Vielleicht war es in dermaßen winzige Stücke geschnitten dass ich es mit meiner Grobmotorik und -Sensorik nicht bemerkt habe. Gerade auf einer Wanderhütte (sehr rustikal mit absolut stimmigen Ambiente und Atmosphäre!!) hätte ich einen wirklich kräftig mit diversen Einlagen versehenen (über die in der Speisekarte aufgeführten Kartoffeln u. Möhren hinaus -ich hatte das nicht als abschließende Aufzählung wahrgenommen- bspw. auch Sellerie, Lauch ff.) in etwas stückigerer Konsistenz erwartet. Schade, ich war aufrichtig enttäuscht. Ansonsten ist die Lokalität unbedingt eine Wanderung und Einkehr wert, wenn man Gemütlichkeit und heimelige -ans Skifahren erinnernde- Stimmung mag und nicht auf Einzeltischen besteht. Aber das macht ja gerade den Charakter einer Hütte aus (und versöhnt wieder etwas mit dem etwas zu "schlanken und ranken" Eintopf.

Sehr schöne Wandergegend bei Baiersbronn, mit Rinkenturm, Rinkenbach und Einkehr in der Wanderhütte „Sattelei“. Wir waren zeitig genug dort, um uns einen Platz im Biergarten aussuchen zu können. Sehr gepflegte und angenehme Wanderhütte, in allen Bereichen, wie unten schon mehrfach beschrieben. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Wunderschön! Super essen, die Kartoffelsuppe war sehr fein, frisches Brot. Sehr gemütlich, warm. Vielleicht etwas Bargeld mitnehmen, bei unserem Besuch war es nicht möglich mit Karte zu zahlen.
