It's a shame that a restaurant as renowned as the Walkmühle is declining in such a way. We ordered two schnitzels: an "XXL" pork schnitzel and a Viennese veal schnitzel. However, XXL was only the packaging in which the small, poor, half-burnt schnitzel for 18 euros seemed completely lost. As a special attention from the chef, there was a little addition on the salad: a dollop of some other dish with rice (yuck, the salad ended up straight in the trash). The portions of salad and fries were also quite small. I'm happy to pay a few euros more (18 euros for a pork schnitzel!), but then I expect the same quality. A little tip: Instead of the fancy, personalized stickers that indicate that the Styrofoam packaging can be put in the oven (probably only when it is switched off, because the packaging itself says "max 90°"), it would be more helpful if to write the dishes on the packaging. At first glance, pork and veal schnitzel were indistinguishable from each other. It's a shame about the good old fulling mill. We won't be ordering here again.

I celebrated my 70th birthday there today with my whole family. The food deserves 5 stars, the service was excellent and d Has ambience as well. Since we had 4 small children with us, the playroom was just right. They conquered it straight away and we were able to spend a relaxing afternoon. I will definitely recommend the restaurant.

We celebrated our wedding at the Walkmühle in June and were thrilled. The wedding celebration was actually planned in the beautiful garden. Due to the weather, we changed our mind the day before to celebrate the wedding celebration in one of the rooms with Irina from Walkmühle. I can only say that Irina exceeded our expectations by a lot. Not only did she decorate the room beautifully with a lot of love and heart, we are endlessly grateful for that. She always had an open ear for us when we had questions and fulfilled all of our wishes. Thank you so much for that, she also made our wedding something special. But I would also like to thank the other service staff who were very friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic, all of our guests were thrilled with the delicious food. We really had nothing to criticize and were thrilled with everything. That's why we can recommend the fulling mill and its staff 100%.

Finally an old school restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and so was the ambience. Can only be recommended. The price is a little higher but that's just due to the quality. We are from the catering industry ourselves and will be back. Spaghetti with Parmesan cheese was particularly good

The service was exceptional - the staff were friendly, attentive and very professional. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and inviting, which made the evening even more enjoyable. So at the culinary mile the octopus was horrible. More appearance than reality. 14 euros for an octopus that tastes stale with a bit of salad. No grill aroma, nothing! Never again

We celebrated a big birthday here and had a wonderful, relaxed and enjoyable evening in a small group. Josepe served us the most delicious meal and filleted the fish at the table. The oysters were the freshest I have ever eaten in Mülheim. Overall a great evening with delicious food. An absolute recommendation is the truffle pasta made from a parmesan wheel.

Nicely located restaurant. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate so we had to sit inside. But it didn't detract from the whole thing. The food was incredibly harmonious and delicious. We had asparagus which was super fresh and aromatic. Spaghetti made from parmesan and liver. All dishes were convincing. The highlight was the dessert. A lemon sorbet, what a dream!

The service was very friendly, courteous and personable and the food was really tasty and lots of it. There are enough parking spaces available and directly at the restaurant. The furnishings feel very loving both inside and out.

Today was the second time we went to the Walkmühle for the rehearsal dinner for our wedding in July and we can clearly say that it was the perfect decision to do so. We have tried a few dishes so far. We have been very satisfied so far. In short: the food and service is top notch, the toilet is clean, the garden and outdoor area are very well maintained and invite you to drink a beer. Highly recommended from our side.

Terrible! The two of us spontaneously ate there for the first time (and last time) last week. You immediately notice the run-down atmosphere, old furniture, old lamps, worn floors and old wood everywhere in the form of paneling and beams. Apparently nothing has been invested here for decades. Incidentally, the annoying lounge music throughout the restaurant, which is more suitable for a chillout club, is inappropriate. We were almost the only guests and had to wait a long time even for the starters... I can't imagine how long you would have to wait if it was full. About the dishes: Portions too small, poorly seasoned or not seasoned at all, little spice The salmon was frozen and the fried potatoes were burnt for the Wiener Schnitzel, nothing was really convincing in terms of taste and the prices don't match what you get. You can also cook this quality at home! However, the employees were always very friendly. All in all a failure.

First of all, the food was really tasty. We ate directly in the restaurant and didn't order. Delicious good meat, with good side dishes and delicious desserts. But a big BUT! “Begging” for a 5 star rating at the end of the meal, which is then rewarded with a grappa on the house, is unfortunately really unnecessary. Here you really ask yourself which reviews are real and which are begging. You really didn't need it because the food was delicious. It could perhaps be a little more, for example the tiramisu was only 3 spoons, there are more elsewhere for the same price.
