I don’t know, the food is not bad at all, although the price is steep, but the service lets us down! We stood in line to board, they had already begun to serve us, but were immediately distracted by the newcomers and we waited again... the waiter gave us a menu card and left without asking about drinks, and then we sat for a long time with dirty plates... all these shortcomings greatly spoil the overall picture!

Very nice and large beer garden! Self-service applies here with a wide range of options. Empty plates and jugs were cleared away very quickly by the staff. We came here on a Sunday and even got to enjoy live music (jazz). 100% recommendation!

Simply one of the best Biergarten in Munich. You can easily spend a whole day there and have everything you need. A small commute from Munich out here is always worth it.

Lots of hustle and bustle, self-service, food offering "well", high prices typical of the area. Ambiance very chic. Next door there was a trampoline and swing boat for a fee. There is also a restaurant in the same place where you can be served. There is a different menu there and more expensive.

A little bit like heaven on earth just at the diorstep of Munich. Looking over the Isar at its more serene parts, the setting is relaxing and marvelous. Which might be in part inspired by the jazz band which plays on each day of fine weather in the middle of the garden. The food is definitely above the beer garden standard. Never mind you can bring your own food and just buy the reasonably priced drinks, if on a tight budget. Other so so beer garden in the city may be easier to reach, but a beer tastes more heavenly after you have sweat on your way out of the city and climbed up the hills on a bike:-)

Very nice beer garden with live music. Lots of seating in the "open" area. There you can put together your own food and get drinks at stalls. Payment is made when leaving the area. Large selection of dishes, especially typical “beer garden dishes” are highly recommended. There is also a restaurant with table service. The food is good here too. But the beer garden is more rustic and cozy.

After swimming on the Isar, this place is just great, certainly a better kind of beer garden! The selection is typically nothing special, except that they always cook the food fresh! Very old or very outdated beer garden Here you get pretty much ripped off for everything My impression was that there were parking fees plus the overpriced prices and the low quality of the food The constant presence of a music group in Wiesntracht doesn't help; it's more of a hindrance to a visit. The adjacent leisure area with mini golf and trampoline are also very outdated and overpriced. You can save yourself the experience because a trip there will leave a big dent in your wallet without any associated feeling of happiness. An extremely bad impression and the traditional roast pork is pure horror and you should really be very ashamed of it. Under no circumstances can you recommend kebab, just warn against it

Beer not cold, but rather cheap at 11 euros. Food very expensive, not really justified by the music. Tarmpoline jumping costs 3 euros - expensive or inappropriate. But very nice beer garden and nice people. Accordingly, my recommendation: bring your own food and make sure you get a cold beer

Large, very nice beer garden that we reached after a walk of around 2 hours along the Isar. On Sundays a small group of musicians plays jazz which makes the place even more pleasant. Usual local food and drink as in all biergartens, although a fancier restaurant also seems to be available adjacent to the biergarten. A charming place to go on weekends with friends or family and a must-do for tourists who like to live real Munich experiences :)

We came especially for the American Octoberfest. It was postponed because of the weather and now we're back at the rescheduled date with dream weather: Still no celebration. We are totally annoyed. No burgers, no nice music and overpriced food and drink. No program for the children either. Big failure and big disappointment for everyone. Posters still hang...

It's a shame that the roast pork has deteriorated so much. The coleslaw tastes old and there is a slice of bacon on it. The dumplings are out of the package. You get 3 cm of crust. Where's the rest? €17.50 for a bitter disappointment

Not easy to get to via public transportation or even rideshare! It is in a forest. Very large. live music. We had a Welcome party/night before a wedding. Beautiful charcuterie plates, veggies, dips, pretzels. Staff was attentive to our party needs. Kept the beer flowing.

Beautiful beergarden in an amazing spot. I can definitely recommend walking by foot or taking the bike to this place to enjoy the surrounding nature. The beergarden is spacious and has live music (jazz was played when I was there on a sunday) The food is typical for a beergarden and neither better or worse than other gardens in munich but its the atmosphere that makes it absolutely worth it to take a trip I can recommend the Steckerlfisch or the classic Schweinsbraten

This beer garden is a must in southern Munich. The place is magnificent with a view overlooking the Isar valley. The jazz orchestra rocks us or....makes us want to sing Armstrong.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Munich.

For me it's the best beer garden in Munich, also because it's a little further out and so the classic beer tourists don't find their way here. Idyllically located on the Isar between the Solln and Grünewald villas, this institution offers everything your heart desires at very reasonable prices. There is also an outdoor area assigned to the inn with service if you don't like the self-service. A special treat is the music in the middle of the outdoor area, which has a lot of slow jazz in its repertoire. The cigar roller (10€ / piece) rounds off the fine offer. For those who refuse beer, there is of course also a fine selection of wines and bubbly. Parking space €2.50.

Large beer garden, very spacious, located a bit “off the beaten track”. If it's full, you may not find a parking space. Prices like in all other beer gardens, not cheap, but that's how it is. If you want to save money, don't go there anyway. Food is good, staff too.

It was already better! Nice beer garden, but the food in the self-service area today was subpar. Tomatoes taste like fish, but the ketchup has never seen a tomato and tastes like pure chemicals. Everything was very greasy and bland. Sorry, but it has to be said.

For me it's one of the most beautiful beer gardens in all of Munich, because it's super authentic! Very tastefully decorated inside and out. Live music outside is a wonderful way to round off a meal. The food tastes great and the service is extremely attentive and friendly!

Great location, high quality. A visit is always worthwhile. However, you pay as much for a snack (pretzel, beer, Obaztda, Radi) as you would for a full warm dinner elsewhere.

We stopped here on the way to Pullach on Saturday afternoon. Very friendly waitresses. Dog friendly. It was a bit cool, but there are heaters available and we were offered blankets. Even the band has already played in the beer garden. Preparations were just underway for public viewing. Only one point deducted because it is relatively expensive and there are few cheap dishes on the menu.

I am a regular guest in the serviced area of ​​the Wawi and have always been looked after by the friendly staff ever since. Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience with a service representative today. My sisters and their partners were visiting. Since I wanted to show you the Wawi beer garden atmosphere, I initially decided on the unattended area. When we still fancied a Kaiserschmarren, we wanted to move to the serviced area. In order to prevent unnecessary problems, I asked an employee in this area in advance whether this was possible. After we sat down, another waitress came and very rudely asked if we had just sat at his table without asking. When I wanted to order Kaiserschmarren for the round, this employee suddenly became very loud and said if we were just coming for coffee. And that guests often first go to the beer garden and then go to the served area for dessert. I then explained to him that I had specifically asked his colleague. The person did not respond to this at first and left the situation. When I tried to talk again, he offered to bring us a Kaiserschmarren. Since the employee's appearance devastated the mood and made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted, we decided against it and left. Assuming we had come directly to the served area just for a Kaiserschmarren, then that wouldn't be a problem? And if this change from the beer garden to the served area happens often and is not welcomed, the landlady must communicate and mark this accordingly. Nevertheless, that does not justify such a rude, disrespectful and unfriendly behavior towards a guest.

First you have to pay €2.50 parking fees to even get into the beer garden. You also have to pay for the trampoline and swing. Otherwise there is a very small playground for children. No non-alcoholic Helles from Spaten is sold in the beer garden. Plug fish alone cost €20.00! Live jazz music in the beer garden without a dance floor takes some getting used to and, in my case, is too loud.

For 2 people with currywurst/fries and bratwurst/potato salad as well as two halves a whopping 32 euros. Hello, this is a beer garden! And the big shame: they now charge EUR 2.50 for parking on weekends. Even if you are only there for 1 hour. Pfffft!

Prinzipiell ein schöner Biergarten mit Live Musik. Das Essen ist leider einfach unterirdisch. Noch nie so schlechte, lieblos gemachte Käsespätze gegessen. Für schlappe 12€. Das war nichts anderes als ein Batzen Teig aus dem Bain Marie mit ein paar billig Röstzwiebeln. Der Steckerfisch furztrocken und ungewürzt. Kein gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis.

Very nice for a little stopover

We were there at a Sunday’s afternoon so it was full, even so the service was not slow. The place is gorgeous with those huge trees. The jazz band sounded nice. I ordered a veggie burger that look disappointing but actually it tasted good; the pommes, obazda and bretze were yummy. It is more expensive than most of the BG we know.

Hired for beer, so far everything was ok. Afterwards I wanted to pour some rhubarb spritzer, but it was empty. The attendant behind the tap couldn't do anything and sent me back to the beer, i.e. to queue again. Then it still took a while for rhubarb to work again. The beer was never fresh. Sh. Photo. An incompetent servant results in a huge star deduction...

Erste Sonnentage, Zeit in der Wawi vorbeizuschauen, nicht an den Biergartentischen, einfach mal ein Lieblingsdessert und einen Cappuccino draußen, aber eben an gedeckten Tischen, mit freundlicher Bedienung. Apfelkücherl mit Eis! Hm, das erste in diesem Jahr, in dem der Frühling schon einmal Sommer übt. Die meisten Tische sind schon besetzt, die Geräuschkulisse nimmt zu, die Kinder stürmen auf den Spielplatz, gut so. Wir hören die Vögel zwitschern und freuen uns über die Begleitung. Dann aber - leider und völlig unnötig - kommt eine `Konserve`dazu, die den Vögeln arge Konkurrenz macht. - Gerne hören wir die Jazz-Varianten in der Wawi, da spielt eine Kapelle, macht Spaß zuzuhören, aber heute: Konservenmusik schallt über den Biergarten, über die Restaurant-Tische und die Vögel kommen nur schlecht dagegen an. Bin ich im falschen Film?! Konserve beim Einkauf ist alltäglich, alle sind abgestumpft, so scheint´s, aber hier?! Geht´s noch?! Frage ich auch ganz freundlich die Bedienung: Muß das sein, diese Konserve in der Natur?! Das Verständnis, na ja, reicht nicht für die Vögel, nicht für unser Anliegen! Leider!
