Als Vegetarier ist das Essen okay aber alles andere ist wunderschön und einer meiner liebsten Biergärten!

Die Lage ist gut. Die Preise hoch. Selfservice beim Bier. Die Hendl kloa. Das Unterhaltungsprogramm ging so.

Die halbe Ente bestand aus einem Bei und einem halben Bruststück. Vermutlich war es deshalb eine halbe Ente. Oder der Küche ging der Nachschub aus ...

Seid langen wieder mal hier gewesen, im Biergarten. Sehr feines Essen - nicht gerade billig aber dafür stimmt die Qualität ! Jazz Band ist auch super - schön das sie nicht zu laut sind 😎 man kann sich super unterhalten. Sehr schönes Ambiente

Fernab vom Trubel der Münchner Innenstadt liegt dieser wunderschöne Biergarten ganz idyllisch unter alten Kastanienbäumen. Trotz seiner Größe wirkt alles angenehm entspannt, gemütlich und typisch bayrisch. Besonders schön für Familien ist der große Spielplatz, während die Erwachsenen die Atmosphäre genießen können. Heute hat sogar eine Jazzband gespielt und für eine richtig stimmungsvolle Untermalung gesorgt. Das Essen war für einen großen Biergartenbetrieb wirklich sehr gut – natürlich kein Fine Dining, aber ehrlich, lecker und absolut passend zum Ambiente. Auch die Preise sind völlig fair. Insgesamt ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Wiederkommen.

Feiertags im Biergarten (Wirtschaft geschlossen) Diximusiker spielten im Biergarten auf der Bühne live. Biergarten (Sebstbedienung) sehr gut organisiert Es gab frische, sehr gute Schnitzel mit Pommes Zwiebelrostbraten - Roastbeef, wurde vor mir frisch zubereitet mit Bratkartoffel, Tages-Angebot: 18,50€ sensationell und hat sehr gut geschmeckt mit sehr gutem Rindfleisch.

Einfach legendär, ich liebe es hier! Tolles Bier, tolles Essen und tolle Zeiten.

Herrlicher Biergarten mit Tradition. Oberhalb der Isar immer noch DER Biergarten. Tip: Brezen -Auszogne - Kartoffelsalat. Livemusik (Jazz) und Kinderspielplatz. Und....das Bier schmeckt natürlich auch. Update 05.26: Immer noch mega.👍

Die Lage ist super und es könnte einer der schönsten Biergärten sein, aber wenn das Personal gerade nicht motiviert ist, hilft das gar nichts, ist aber nicht mein Problem. Auch wenn höflich gestellte Fragen nicht beantwortet werden oder wenn auf ein "Danke schön" kein "Bitte sehr" folgt, tun mir die Leute nur leid, weil sie einen Job machen müssen, der ihnen gar nicht gefällt.Aber wenn ich ein "Russ" (also alkoholfrei) bestelle und mir wird dann ein Radler (also mit Alkohol) vorgesetzt, das geht dann gar nicht. Ich dachte, es wäre Einbildung, aber unterwegs auf der Wanderung habe ich den Alkohol eine ganze Weile gespürt. Schade !!! Der eine Stern geht an die Dame, die die WC's sauber hält, sie war sehr freundlich..

Kein Jazz Biergarten mehr.... Die Musiker waren langweilig und unprofesssionel((( Schaaaade(((

Schöner, trotz Größe noch gemütlicher Biergarten, sehr schmackhafte Speisen. Wir waren heute 5 Personen im Bedienbereich des Biergartens. Das Essen und die Getränke kamen schnell, da um 12 Uhr mittags noch viele Tische unbesetzt waren. Zur Nachspeise bestellten wir dann noch Kaffee. Das Dessert kam, der Kaffee, den wir dazu trinken wollten wurde auch nach ca.20 Minuten noch nicht serviert. Inzwischen war das Eis geschmolzen! Als ich den Kaffee anmahnte, wurde erst noch der Nachbartisch bedient und ein Tisch abgeräumt. Anschließend verschwand der Ober einige Zeit im Selbstbedienungsbereich. Als ich mich an die zuständige Dame wandte, benahm er sich wie man es nicht im billigsten Lokal erwarten würde. Meiner Tochter gegenüber äußerte er sich : ,,Wir sind hier nicht bei McDonald's und servierte uns endlich den Kaffee mit der Aufforderung sofort die Rechnung zu begleichen. Später, nachdem ich den Kaffee noch gar nicht getrunken hatte, kam er wieder und fragte wie lange wir wohl noch bleiben wollten. So ein Benehmen dem Gast, der immerhin für fast 200 € gespeist hatte, ist eine Frechheit! Deswegen gaben wir, das erste Mal überhaupt, kein Trinkgeld!

Ich hoffe wir haben einen schlechten Tag erwischt…mit Abstand die miesesten Spare Ribs in München, die anderen Speisen auch weit unter Durchschnitt..schade, war mal viel besser 😥

Schön gelegener Biergarten an der Isar mit einem sehr guten SB Service. Angemessene Preise. Am Wochenende mit Musik und Gesang.

Leider wird mittlerweile ein halbes Helles im Weißbierglas ausgeschenkt. :/ Und die Soße von den Rips ist leider auch geändert worden…

Toller Biergarten mit Bäumen und eine Band und reichlich Schatten!!!!! Leider keine fotos aber es geht nicht um das Essen sondern dass das Essen nicht frisch gekocht wird! Ich kam mir vor wie bei eine Kantine. Alles fertig gekocht hingestellt und bitte bedient euch. Plus selber wieder alles aufräumen. Dann brauche ich ja kein 30 Euro bezahlen für eine Mozzarella ne Brezel eine Apfeltasche Pommes und ein Radler wenn ich mich selbst bedienen muss!!!

Wir haben die Waldwirtschaft von Freunden empfohlen bekommen und unser Besuch war rundum schön. Waren mit vier Kindern im Restaurant und alle Mitarbeiter waren superfreundlich. Das Essen war toll! Wenn wir nochmal in der Gegend sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Ein wunderschöner Ort mit leckerem Essen und toller Musik. Direkt am Isarufer gelegen, zählt er zu den schönsten Biergärten in und um München. Absolut empfehlenswert! Freundliches Personal.

Toller Biergarten mit Livemusik

Ein Klassier mit langer Tradition. Nicht unbedingt ein Schnäppchen-Laden, aber solide.

Wir waren am Samstagabend zu fünft in der Waldwirtschaft – eigentlich hatte die Küche bereits geschlossen. Trotzdem hat sich der Koch die Zeit genommen und uns sehr freundlich noch Kartoffelsuppe, Fleischpflanzerl und Carpaccio angeboten und frisch zubereitet. Das ist absolut nicht selbstverständlich! Der Service war herzlich, aufmerksam und das Essen wirklich hervorragend. Genau solche Erlebnisse bleiben in Erinnerung. Vielen Dank an das Team – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

We had a fantastic meal. Duck and Wiener Schnitzel. Amazing dessert. The waiter was incredibly friendly. We'd barely sat down when he came with a treat for our dog. Incredibly thoughtful. We've known the WaWi for a long time, but always "only" from the excellent beer garden or the outdoor terrace. But being inside in winter was a new experience. We've decided to come back again in the future, even on our trip from Garmisch. It's worth it!

A beautiful forest inn, far removed from Munich's everyday tourist crowds. In summer, a jazz band plays in the beer garden. Sometimes a bit too loud, but oh well ;) They offer a wide variety of dishes. There's also a playground. I haven't been inside yet, but the beer garden is fantastic :)

Great atmosphere at Georg Kalbstrasse 4 in Pullach, either in the self-service area or on the wall in the service area. Warning: Do not feed strange dogs, neither ham hocks nor spare rib bones, even if the dog likes them. ✓ In one afternoon, I was almost sued by 3(!) left-wing, green, woke vegan dog owners, saying I wanted to kill my dog. Poor dog!

The food wasn't anything special, but the terrace is truly beautiful and offers a relaxed atmosphere. A visit is especially worthwhile in summer: good service, friendly staff, and live jazz music make the evening a special experience. So, if you come here less for the food and more for the atmosphere, you'll definitely be satisfied.

It was always there 30 years ago. It's still worth a visit. Prices in the beer garden are still reasonable. And the Auszogne ​​beer still tastes good. Relax in the afternoon with jazz.

Hello – we're from Pullach and often go to the wawi (a beer garden) – today, Sunday evening, we wanted to quickly go to the beer garden with friends. But I didn't want to pay the €2.50 parking fee for an empty parking space and an empty beer garden on principle. Fortunately, there are other beer gardens whose business model isn't based on pointless parking fees.

For me personally, the most beautiful beer garden in the Munich area, always with music, top.

Very poor quality food. Would not recommend. Ribs and chicken were very dry. 3€ for 10 mins (per kid) on the Trampolin! There are better Biergarten around Munich and the surrounding area.

Beautiful beer garden with live music in the summer. Especially pleasant during the week, as finding a seat is easy and queuing for a beer is quicker. It's a great place to walk to. Anyone arriving by car is either handicapped or naive. Parking is limited.

Wawo has been a good destination for decades!

Our first visit to a Munich beer garden. We were very surprised by so many visitors at lunchtime on a normal weekday. The service was friendly and courteous. The music started out a bit slower, but after a short while, the musicians warmed up and started playing accordingly.

Just ate the worst spare ribs ever in a beer garden. Oven-cooked to death, grilled for a maximum of 2 minutes. The special sauce is a curry sauce, which is probably also poured over the currywurst. It tastes artificial, below fast-food level. How can you trample on Bavarian beer garden tradition like that? A long shake of the head...

Beautifully situated beer garden above the Isar River with comfortable benches. A jazz band usually plays. The selection of drinks and food is extensive. Unfortunately, the grilled fish and, occasionally, the chicken have been kept warm for a while and are therefore a bit dry.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Munich. Directly on the high bank of the Isar River. Well-maintained and of good quality. Benches with backrests. Music (jazz) daily. Prices are upscale but reasonable. Be sure to try the Auszognen beer (€5). A liter of beer is €11.

We visited the Waldwirtschaft today (Friday lunchtime) and had a super-relaxed visit. The beer garden was pleasantly empty, we found a nice spot in the shade, and a small jazz band was playing – subtle and very atmospheric. The half chicken with coleslaw was truly delicious, and we didn't have to wait in line. The parking lot was also empty; it's free during the week (€2.50 on weekends). Highly recommended!

The beer garden with live music and a restaurant on the edge of the Isar Valley is the perfect place. We were lucky; after a hike along the Isar River, it started to rain. So it was quiet and there was free parking.

A very nice, always popular beer garden. A great location in the countryside on the high bank of the Isar River. Unusual for a beer garden: There's live jazz music. As is traditional, food is allowed, but drinks must be purchased on site. A playground for children is available. Parking is subject to a fee.

We love this Biergarten. You can reach it comfortably from Munich (~5 miles). The food, service and offered selection is regular for a Biergarten. Prices are a bit higher but ambience is best.

A paradise for all these years, with Dixieland, a wonderful location, and very friendly staff. It's worth the trip from the north of Munich.

As a DJ, I was able to provide musical accompaniment for a birthday party at Wawi Großhesselohe, and I was absolutely thrilled! The food was outstanding—a feast for the eyes and taste. The service was simply top-notch; the staff was attentive, friendly, and always there to help. The atmosphere was perfect for a lively celebration, and the guests clearly had a fantastic time. I would love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend Wawi Großhesselohe!

We always enjoy going to the beer garden. It's one of the few places where there's music every day. We've even celebrated birthdays here.

Recommended for a break with a drink

The beer garden and restaurant are good. The service is also very friendly. What was absolutely outrageous, however, was the parking attendant. It's a complete two-tier system there. We drove up in a small car and weren't allowed to park in the parking lot, so we had to turn around. My friend, who was two cars behind me in a Mercedes, was allowed to park. The parking fee was €8.50.

It's a very, very beautiful, pleasant, and wonderful beer garden with a great place to relax. The service and staff are really friendly, helpful, and simply excellent. You should just visit once, then you'll understand, for example, that I'm not exaggerating with my praise and satisfaction... The price/performance ratio is simply top-notch (great). Hopefully, it stays that way! We'll always enjoy a trip there. Best regards, until next time.

Nice, large self-service beer garden, with mostly ample parking. Good location. Well-tapped, decently chilled beer! The food, however, generally has room for improvement! The sausage salad could be better seasoned; the vinegar-oil mixture is NOTHING, but unfortunately, I've seen that from other beer gardens: too much oil, too little vinegar, and too little seasoning. The freshly prepared (!) beef burger was unfortunately completely overcooked, hard. Almost black, and if I had noticed that when I checked it out, I would have sent it back immediately! Next time, I'll check it out before I pay for it and take it to my table! At least the pretzels were fresh, and the Obazda (traditional Austrian sausage) was okay. Otherwise, the food would only get 2 stars! The staff often seem very listless, business as usual; there could be a lot more positive energy! Somehow, you feel like you're disturbing people. Then you could just close the bar and sell only bottles! 4 stars just about because the beer was decent and the location and atmosphere, also thanks to the music, are good. But opinions may differ here... not everyone likes Dixieland. Update 2025: Parking now costs €2.50, so paying guests continue to be charged. This could be addressed better, hence the downgrade from 4 to 3 stars.

A very pleasant brewery to hang out in, with a wide variety of food and drink options. We didn't eat anything but would love to try. There's live music, and the place is quite spacious and attractive.
