Very friendly, unfortunately understaffed, which is why the menu cannot be fully implemented. Nice playground, good parking, great vending machine for dogs on site, drinking bowls for the dog. I would like to give more stars and hope for more scope for more staff.

THE BIERGARTEN!!! They are wonderful to be able to visit them when the good weather arrives, to be able to take a walk through the forest and end up in one of these spaces is priceless…. In Backnang, every time I have been here I have had the opportunity to visit this place, and now that I know that summer is ending, I decided to visit it for the last time since the weather is back this week, and why not take advantage of it by eating here... . Its menu is varied with dishes of German origin and some others of Balkan origin, I imagine because its owners are from there…. The last two times I visited I got hooked on the schnitzel with cheese and jalapenos, it seems like a very good amount and I love the combination ❤️, the place, as I have already mentioned, is very good and so is the atmosphere... so don't hesitate to visit it... The only small criticism, but without harm, is that sauces such as mayo and ketchup are paid as an extra, and if you order a portion of fries, the truth is that with one of each you will fall short…. And it wouldn't hurt if they didn't have to pay separately... it's just a small criticism but I respect the venue's decision... Let's hope to see each other next summer ❤️. Thank you!!

It's always a highlight to be there and enjoy the pizza schnitzel. The service is also wonderful and I'm always happy when I'm told that today we're going to Vesna and her team in Backnang :-)

The forest cemetery is a walk away. The catering is currently good, there is adequate food and drinks at a suitable price. Self-service is available and waiting times are pleasantly short, even at peak times. The facility is only partially handicapped accessible and the seating is very simple and does not invite seniors to sit for long periods of time. ————————— A popular beer garden on the edge of the forest in the local recreation area for decades. The beer garden is really very nice. But the operators are overwhelmed on this sunny Saturday, as they have so often been. Unfortunately, stocking up on the food will probably not work again. A third of the offerings on the menu have already been pasted over. At the checkout you find out that the other dishes are no longer available. A bad-tempered cashier completes the situation. You shouldn't necessarily come here to eat.

It's a shame that there haven't been any 🍔 for weeks - but it's always worth spending a few hours in Waldheim

Located on the edge of the forest, with old trees, you can sit in the shade and enjoy your food. As is often the case in Waldheimen, self-service is the order of the day. But it works great. Service is friendly and helpful. The prices are within normal limits. The classic is the schnitzel, which ends up on the plate with good breading and satisfies even the most hungry. The burgers are a particularly tasty plus point😍. I would be happy to come by again 😊

We were here on Sunday and the food was freshly cooked. Everything tasted delicious. Today, on Saturdays in August 2024, the food was also delicious, but the portions have become smaller and the prices are quite high for a beer garden. But the quality is okay.

Nice place that deserves better. Self-service with sometimes unbelievable waiting times (only 1 place for orders) - simply poorly organized. Forced to pay in cash for every drink, as card payments are only accepted for orders over 10 euros (we probably still live in the 90s here). The prices are already years ahead, the food is average at best, but attention is paid to the slim line of the guests and the portions. What a shame!!

Bad surprise on Sunday lunch: the side dish for the schnitzel, mixed salad, was missing potato salad. So asked the woman at the bar if the side dishes were now without potato salad? Answer: “a mistake was made in the kitchen, potato salad is always there, it was forgotten”. That's it. No apology, nothing. The portions are getting smaller and smaller anyway and with the prices “forgetting” some of the side dishes is not a good thing.

Cozy beer garden with enough shade in the hot summer. The food may not be cheap, but it is very tasty and of great quality. Price - performance is right! And when live music plays on Saturdays, a good atmosphere is guaranteed 👍

I've been there about once a month for several years now. The beer garden is a Rubeoasis in itself. Yes, you slow down, but that's exactly what I like. Sitting under the canopy of leaves on rustic benches, listening to the murmur of voices, bustling around and laughing... A great stay with friends. In winter, inside at tables like those found in traditional taverns. Over time I got to know and appreciate the team. And their Waldheimschnitzel is always a hit at our friends gathering!

Unfortunately this time we had a portion of fries that was too small and the Cavapcici were a bit too light. It still tasted good.

Saturday night. Long queue. 40 minute wait for mediocre food. Overpriced food and drinks and then self-service. That's what the band was good for.

Live music in the beer garden with 300 visitors due to a shortage of skilled workers. With just one cash register for drinks and food orders, the pressure on the bar and kitchen is reduced. The only reason the queue that forms in front of the checkout doesn't get any longer is because after hours of queuing, a drinks machine on the beaten path relieves the completely overworked staff at the checkout, bar and kitchen. The decision to eat a little later at the drinks machine was no longer necessary after 3 hours. The only reason the queue at the checkout has decreased is because the kitchen has now closed. The four-legged beer garden visitors are better off with the new automatic feeder from an innovative company. They don't have to go home hungry, they are already provided with food from the automatic machine in the beer garden. How long will it be before the two-legged beer garden visitors are supplied with the ready meal from an innovative company from the automatic feeder with an integrated microwave, but are no longer sent home hungry after visiting the beer garden.

Too few staff at events. It was not possible to order anything to eat or drink in a reasonable amount of time during the two hour stay.

A bit inconspicuously located, but then you will be won over by the great ambience and the delicious selection of drinks and food 😊 Whether alone, with family and children or as a group, there is something for everyone here.

I haven't been here for a while. All in all, nice beer garden, simple kitchen, but the sanitary facilities are shockingly dirty.

Casual with a good price-performance ratio. Regardless of whether you are cycling with friends or for families. The food was okay (we had currywurst with fries and chicken sticks). Friends the sausage salad, which was unfortunately a bit small. Not great in terms of taste, but okay for the price. The kids can move around freely, there is a small playground. You can go there again.

The food was quite good but 45 minutes of waiting time is very long, even though many 1/4 of the seats are occupied. Especially since the prices for self-service are quite high.

Cozy beer garden, lots of seating, quietly located under beech trees. Play equipment is available for the little guests to keep them entertained. Not handicapped accessible, which is difficult to do in the beer garden. The food was very tasty, freshly prepared, well seasoned. A large selection of drinks and also ice cream when it gets hot. A nice restaurant on the edge of the Plattenwald of Backnang with a nice interior ambience and a nice large beer garden in summer. Suitable for regular tables and e.g. Birthday events. Everyone is welcome there and treated equally.

Wir haben unsere standesamtliche Trauung mit über 50 Gästen hier gefeiert. Vesna und ihr Team waren sehr kompetent und gut organisiert. Sie waren sehr freundlich und waren für jeden Spaß zu haben. Man hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen hat allen richtig gut geschmeckt. Es hat von A-Z einfach alles gepasst, vielen Dank dafür und weiter so!

Schöner Biergarten am Waldrand mit Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder, Boule-Bahn, Futterstation für Hunde. Gute Speisen, auch Vegetarier finden etwas, gute Getränkeauswahl.

Speisen und Lage des Waldheims sehr gut. Für Familien mit Kindern zu empfehlen.

Essen exzellent. Trotz Hinweis auf Wartezeiten wegen Personalmangel war die Wartezeit absolut o.k. Einziges Manko: Der DJ, auf den man hätte getrost verzichten können, war entschieden zu laut. Normale Unterhaltung war leider nicht möglich, wir mußten fast brüllen. Auch als er angesprochen wurde, keine Einsicht. Auch die Wirte wurden leider nicht tätig. Daher nur 3 Punkte, sonst wären es 5 gewesen.

Super Biergarten mit Selbstbedienung, Spielmöglichkeit für Kinder, Preis/Leistung ist super und geschmeckt hat es auch sehr gut.

Essen war ok aber nichts besonderes, am Eingang des Biergartens hängt eine Speisekarte die leider nicht ausweist, dass es sich hierbei nicht um die Biergartenkarte handelt. Preise sind für einen Biergarten eher hoch. Die Kraft an der Kasse war nicht gerade freundlich und hat nicht dazu animiert nochmals etwa bei ihr zu ordern. Das Ambiente hingegen ist echt toll und verdient 5 Sterne.

Wir sind öfters dort und kommen immer wieder gerne.

Hatte gestern einen Wurstsalat für 11€ und muss sagen das es eine sehr kleine Portion war, ich denke das waren vielleicht 200gr. Echt ein sehr stolzer Preis dafür.

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend hier. Komisch war nur, dass nach Küchenschluss es keine Möglichkeit mehr gab ein bereits fertig abgepacktes Eis aus der Tiefkühltruhe zu bekommen. Dafür wird kein Koch benötigt 🤣 Vielleicht sind auch die gesetzlichen Regeln in Deutschland anders

Sehr gutes kroatisches Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Auch die Schnitzel konnten überzeugen. Sowohl scharfes wie auch "normales" Waldheimschnitzel waren reichhaltig und gut zubereitet. Leckeres Essen. Service nett.

Chefin ziemlich mürrisch auch zu den Bediensteten, bei 2 Besuchen. Sie kann wohl nicht anders. Essen war nicht übberragend aber ok. Die Bediensteten sind im Gegensatz zur Chefin immer sehr um Freundlichkeit bemüht.

Selbstbedienung, dafür hohe Preise. Sehr unfreundlicher Service an der Theke. Das Geschirr muss selbst zurückgebracht werden, wird aber dann nicht weggeräumt, weshalb es sehr unappetitlich aussieht. Es gibt kaum vegetarische Speisen, das Essen hat Imbiss-Qualität, sieht allenfalls etwas besser aus. Die Kartenzahlung funktioniert außerdem nicht kontaktlos.

Der Service war trotz vollem Restaurant schnell und zuvorkommend. Die Gerichte alle sehr gut. Besonders zu empfehlen sind die Balkanspezialitäten vom Grill. Aber auch die verschiedenen Burger (die es so nicht überall gibt) sind klasse. Und der schwäbische Klassiker (Rostbraten mit Spätzle) kann sich sehen lassen. Der Biergarten ist das Highlight und für mich der schönste in Backnang und Umgebung. Auch das Allgäuer Büble Bier und die Teinacher Genusslimo sind empfehlenswert.
