The host (innkeeper) seems to be a choleric person. He shouted at the staff several times, which we as guests also noticed. The entire atmosphere was extremely unpleasant. Our waitress was very friendly and should look for a new employer as soon as possible. The highlight was his comment about a guest falling who seemed to be recovering from his fall: (staff tried to help him) “leave the man alone - he just fell and is not severely disabled”. The man who fell was visibly shaken, which didn't impress the innkeeper and he preferred to drink a beer at the bar. We will avoid this restaurant in the future and would not advise anyone to visit this restaurant again.

The service is super nice, flexible (vegan), good-looking. Non-alcoholic cider is a discovery. The fried potatoes were particularly good, the boss is great, the location and the view are unbeatable. Thank you!

A forest pub that has been in operation for many decades. If you like it, try a game dish!

Good middle class, in the middle of the forest.

An institution in Kronberg, great location, very good home-style cuisine. Beautiful outside and inside. From the terrace there is a great view towards Frankfurt, over the forest swimming pool.

It's actually been a regular pub for many years. But unfortunately that was it. As in many restaurants, the dishes are becoming increasingly expensive. Okay with the price spiral somehow. But the plate keeps getting bigger. For a beef stroganoff you now pay 30 euros for a tablespoon of meat and some chanterelles and the slice of meatloaf is served carelessly without any decoration with a handful of fries. A pity No longer recommended.

Spontaneously discovered this great place on the edge of the forest above the Kronberg forest swimming pool on Sunday. Actually the 5 stars are with rough edges and a smile.... 1. Unbeatable view over the swimming pool to the Odenwald. 2. You can sit cool and pleasant in the beer garden at the edge of the forest. 3. The food is good, home-style and plentiful. Everything worked when we ordered and tasted good. A delicious asparagus soup. A poacher meatloaf with fried potatoes. I would have preferred to eat one of these schnitzels here, they looked really great. Apple cake for dessert with espresso, fresh and good. The two girls at the service were nice and friendly and you have to constantly walk the route to the beer garden. You have to bring time, but ultimately this is a place where you should have time. Pay card only in the restaurant. ?! I don't think the girls need to clarify that in advance, it brought some intellectual brows to light. The boss has his age and can be grumpy sometimes, unfortunately he said that he will be closing at the end of the year. No staff, etc. It's a shame, that's all I can say. We'll come back again and have some time with us. Great rustic forest restaurant with character.

Very tasty food in a beautiful beer garden with a view of Frankfurt from above. We came here after hiking with our dog and felt very comfortable! The schnitzel with fried potatoes was great, the beer was nice and cold. What more do you want? We will be back!

At first we were greeted with an unfriendly “PLEASE GET OFF YOUR BIKE!” As we were looking for a place to park our bikes, the waitress added as she walked past, “we are a restaurant and not a playground”. Then we left. The food and atmosphere cannot therefore be rated.

Everything is just right here! Exceptionally good service and very tasty food. When the weather is nice, you can relax on the large summer terrace. Splendid! Price/performance TOP.

Very tastefully decorated, food tasty and the quantity was ok (just about that), service was nice to a bit too crazy, prices at the upper acceptable end. Super pleasant that dogs don't bother you here, overall always a nice visit.

Small but delicious restaurant. Steak and schnitzel are fresh and absolutely recommended. The goose is also great.

Were there for the Christmas party, the food and service were top. We had goose that was perfect. The only deduction is that you were “kicked out” at 11:45 p.m. Good but not bad if you know it's a restaurant. But it's definitely worth a visit, and not just at Christmas time.

Ich gehe zu jeder Jahreszeit gerne in den Bürgelstollen. Im Sommer kann man schön draußen sitzen und im Winter ist es drinnen sehr gemütlich. Auch große Hunde dürfen mit rein. Es ist immer nett, nach einem Taunusgassi hier einzukehren. Der Blick auf Frankfurt ist wunderschön. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Bedienungen freundlich und auf Zack. Parkplätze sind vor der Tür. Was will man mehr! Allerdings sollte man vorsichtshalber anrufen und fragen ob offen ist, da oft Feiern mit geschlossener Gesellschaft stattfinden.

Grandioses gut bürgerliches Essen in toller Atmosphäre. Der Wirt Bernd hat einen sensationellen trockenen Humor!!! Wir gehen super gerne dahin

Ein bezaubernder Ort! Das Bürgelstollen in Kronberg hat mich positiv überrascht. Die Atmosphäre ist äußerst nett und urig, was einen besonderen Charme verleiht. Der Blick auf Frankfurt ist einfach atemberaubend und verleiht dem Besuch eine zusätzliche Dimension. Die Kombination aus einer angenehmen Umgebung und einem spektakulären Ausblick ist wirklich einmalig. Ich war von der Gastfreundlichkeit des Personals beeindruckt und habe mich während meines Besuchs rundum wohlgefühlt. Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach einem besonderen Ort sind, sollten Sie definitiv das Bürgelstollen in Kronberg in Betracht ziehen!

Flammkuchen nicht besonders. Schnitzel war gut. Ewig gewartet und zum Schluss zuviel auf der Rechnung. Wurde natürlich korrigiert. Luft nach oben. Wir waren wandern und daher in der Nähe. Würde nicht extra hinfahren.. .

Wahnsinnig griesgrämiger und unfreundlicher Chef; pfeift nach seinen Angestellten, die den Laden am Laufen halten. Freie Platzwahl Fehlanzeige, man wird nach Gutdünken platziert. Essen langweilig und teuer. Wird Zeit für einen Generationenwechsel dort oben

Essen ist in Ordnung. Service für die Füße. Schade.

Vor 10 Monaten schonmal dagewesen. Aber diesmal war der Service einfach nur wow. Ich war mit meinen beiden Enkeln und meiner Mutter dort. Die junge Dame mit den langen Haaren (leider weiß ich ihren namen nicht)tat einfach alles um Wünsche zu erfüllen. An dieser Stelle nochmals ein ganz herliches Dankeschön. War sehr schön dort. Der Ausblick ist fantastisch. Das Essen war sehr lecker.

Personal sehr nett und sehr bemüht. Wartezeit auf das essen war recht lange.

Poor service with a view. went there for dinner at a sunny Sunday evening - waiters hopelessly unorganized and snippy. We ended up with just a drink and dinner at another place. Atmosphere, view and location are superb though.

Waiting times are very long. Firstly, we waited to get the menus about 15 minutes and after ordering about an hour to get the food. The food itself was good (Schnitzel, Salad and Flammkuchen) but the service is slow and not very pleasant. The prices are too high for the service received.

Beautiful location at the edge of the forest and spectacular view of Frankfurt in the distance. We have enjoyed several celebrations there over the years, in summer and winter, for which our hosts booked the whole restaurant. Very friendly service, also for children.

Sehr schön oberhalb des Waldschwimmbads von Kronberg gelegen. Bei gutem Wetter Blick bis zum Odenwald. Service war äußerst freundlich und kompetent. Essen sehr frisch und schmackhaft, dürfte etwas mehr gewürzt sein.

A good restaurant serving traditional German dishes. The service was good and especially the schnitzel was delicious.

Idyllisch gelegene Gaststätte mit Sitzmöglichkeiten im Freien. Habe einen gemischten Salat mit Putenbrust gegessen, der war gut, aber mit 14,00 Euro recht teuer, da nicht besonders groß. Die Bedienung hat ein Getränk verschüttet, das kann passieren und ist nicht weiter schlimm, unangenehm war der Wirt, der sie dafür vor den Gästen heruntergeputzt hat. Am Ende wurde bei einer Rechnung von 20,00 Euro Barzahlung eingefordert, obwohl ein Kartenterminal zur Verfügung stand und andere Gäste sehr wohl mit Karte zahlen konnten.

Essen war wirklich schlecht. Wir hatten das Spanwerkel, welches weder saftig noch knusprig war sowie das Wildgericht. Trotz weniger Gäste hat die Bedienung lange gebraucht um Karten zu verteilen und Bestellungen aufzunehmen. Einzig positive ist der Ausblick.

Hier wird Qualität grossgeschrieben. Wir kommen sehr gerne sowohl im Sommer im schönen Garten als auch im Winter zu der super leckeren Gans. Deswegen 5 Sterne ;-)

Waren ausserhalb der sonntäglichen stoßzeiten zu Besuch. Alles ging schnell und war lecker. Service war auch fitt. Tolle Einkehrmöglichkeit nachem Spaziergang oder Wanderung. Im Sommer mit großem Biergarten und Blick Richtung Frankfurt. Gerne wieder.

Wir lieben den Bürgelstollen seit vielen Jahren und kommen sowohl im Sommer als auch im Winter immer wieder gern. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, es ist gemütlich und der Service ist professionell, freundlich und herzlich. Immer eine gute Wahl für einen schönen Abend.

Leicht rustikales Ambiente, Bedienung kompetent, freundlich und vor allem aufmerksam. Essen sehr gut, komme gerne wieder.

Fast wie im Urlaub, tolle Aussicht und zum Einkehren nach einer Wanderung im Taunus genau das Richtige. Die Speisekarte ist nicht überladen und was wir bestellt hatten war sehr lecker.

Für ein kurzes Bierchen war es ok. Im Sommer auf der Terrasse ist es bestimmt ein besonders schöner Ort.

Heute gab es außer anderen leckeren Speisen auch Sauerbraten auf der Karte. Eine außergewöhnliche Speise, denn wer macht sich noch diese Arbeit. Es war auch sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Und wer noch etwas braucht, bekommt noch Soße, etc. nach. Angenehme Atmosphäre, wir fühlen uns immer wohl.
