The Wailtl Bräu restaurant in Dorfen is a firm favorite for me when it comes to good food and a relaxed atmosphere. I keep coming back – and for good reason. The steaks from the charcoal grill are always a highlight: juicy, flavorful, and prepared right in front of your eyes. The grill is located in the middle of the restaurant – that's something special and creates a real pub atmosphere. The service is always friendly, attentive, and professional. You just feel like you're in good hands here. Sure, you'll take a bit of the smell of smoke home with you – but that's exactly what makes it special. Where else can you get a real wood-fired grill in the middle of the dining room these days? For me, that's part of the experience. A definite recommendation!

Normally, I don't let anything go wrong with Weiltl. Satisfied. The service is always top-notch, but on this Saturday (July 5th), I'm really disappointed. Weiltl is open until midnight and the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. That's absolutely unacceptable. Tomorrow is the city run in Dorf. People want to get out, and then there's nothing left except dessert.

A top address in Dorfen! Excellent food and a beautiful building with a terrace in the front and back, surrounded by greenery. I don't think the latter is always open. The beautifully decorated dining room has a large grill for preparing meat. It's also perfect for events. For example, we celebrated our civil wedding here a few years ago.

The ambiance is wonderful, and the open fireplace makes the interior very cozy. There's a rustic side room that's perfect for family or Christmas celebrations. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The wine selection is fantastic, and of course, the cuisine is sophisticated and delicious. We always enjoy going to this traditional restaurant in Dorfen's town center.

We celebrated our communion today at Wailtl. From the service to the food and the atmosphere, everything was top-notch. We felt very comfortable.

We were on the way back from Vienna and discovered the restaurant by chance while looking for lunch. Our old family rule, if you don't know your way around a city, drive to the next church and you'll find a good restaurant there, worked again. The food was absolutely great, the service was very good and the atmosphere was particularly inviting. Meat is seared over an open fire in the dining room (yet no unpleasant smell in the dining room) and the portions are just right. Price performance is also right. Since we probably won't be in the corner in the future, I can recommend the Wailtl with a clear conscience and recommend it to everyone. Thanks and regards

We had the zander, schnitzel, and roast beef with onions. The food was good, and the service was friendly. My absolute highlight, however, was the ambiance, with an open fire in the middle where the food was grilled, and there are many beautiful details to discover in the dining area.

We went there for steak this week because there was dry aged steak. From the starters to the aftertaste, everything was delicious and prepared with a lot of love and dedication. Especially the main course was a poem and left us all speechless. Thanks for the lovely evening!

The open fire in the guest room is really impressive. The beef was cooked to perfection and the quality was so good that medium rare is absolutely recommended. Service was quick and very friendly and personable.

Nice little beer garden in the morning sun and particularly recommended for hot days. Since I was traveling by motorbike, I ate a nice Viennese-style schnitzel for 20, with home-made fries. Next time I will eat steak as it is made over an open fire. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The Gasthaus Wailtl is of course famous and popular for its fantastic meat dishes on an open fire. But today I ordered a dish of the day: Geschnetzeltes with spaetzle. As expected, the dish was terrific: a mixed strip of beef, pork and turkey. The meat was cooked through but not dry and the vegetables were cooked but still nice and crunchy! The sauce with cream was strong and went very well with the other ingredients (actually the spaetzle with sauce would have been enough for me as a dish in itself). This shows that the creative, sometimes home-style and sometimes more upscale dishes on the daily menu are also worth a visit to the Wailtl restaurant.

Absolutely recommended. We were a Christmas party group of 13 people. It is usually not the case that everyone actually gets the level of doneness of their meat that they ordered and the side dish they ordered. That worked exactly here. Just being able to keep track of this order size and pass it on correctly all the way to the kitchen deserves the greatest respect. Because experience shows that things like this go wrong often enough. On the other hand, you could tell from the top service that you put your heart and soul into the matter. The team was on top of their game and despite the hut being full, no one ever ran dry (particularly important at Christmas parties). The food was fantastic and the ambience with the open fire was sensational. The prices are also absolutely reasonable. An all-round successful evening, to which the great Wailtl-Bräu team made a huge contribution. Thank you for that. It was really cool. We'll definitely be back. Great house. Keep it up.

The Wailtl restaurant is highly recommended, great ambience, very tasty food and very friendly, attentive service staff, we are always happy to come back.

This restaurant is awesome, when you walk in you can see the joy and you immediately feel right at home as a guest. You are shown to the table and warmly served. In between, people always ask if everything is okay and joke around, so you get the feeling that they still enjoy their job. The food was simply great, large portions and beautifully prepared. It's not cheap, but it's worth it to me if everything fits. I would like to thank the staff for the great and friendly hospitality. Please stay like that, because that makes it so cozy and unforgettable. Your furnishings are also brilliant, especially the chairs and the bench, I've never sat so comfortably in a restaurant before. We'll definitely be back. Kind regards to the whole team.

I'm in Dorfen every now and then and when I have time, I always have lunch at Waitlbräu. Then always order the turkey salad. Totally delicious. Large portion and with lots of fruit. One of the best salads I know. The ambience is very nice both inside and outside in summer. Order comes quickly, service is super friendly. I can only recommend it.

I have come through Dorfen many times. I knew about Waitl but had never been there. Today the time was ripe for the experience. It was really worth it because I had a lot of time to do it. So you can enjoy everything about this restaurant. Incredibly attentive service. Thank you, I felt so attentively looked after. The atmosphere is rustic. The open grill in the middle of the room also contributes to this. But now to the most important thing, the food. Starter: garlic cream soup, I was alone, you can enjoy such sins. The soup was the finest served in unusual dishes. I like it. Main course: sirloin steak; very tender, to the point, I think the specialists for excellent meat can be found here. I had salad and steak fries with it. Dessert: I have to admit, I was more than full. Ordering something else will endanger your well-being later. But the liquid chocolate cake is what the child in me wanted. What can I say: I melted. Thank you for this wonderful evening

Incredibly average. No menus were brought to us when we arrived, we got one from the table next door, at a time when there were hardly any guests there. The prices are an absolute disgrace for what is on offer. For a salad with chicken skewers and salmon, you got a maximum of 10 grams of chicken and 50 grams of salmon, a radish, a tomato, a few strips of pepper and two slices of cucumber, all of which was spread over a huge pile of iceberg lettuce leaves for €20. Grill plate - seared meat €25 without side dishes. Cheapest fries for €5 small portion. Garlic baget floating in butter, Service is friendly, nice cozy atmosphere, good wine.

Steak tastes great. Only the portion size and price are not right at all! 40 euros for steak (very small) and a few potatoes (still looking for them without dip). You won't really get full of it! Otherwise very nice restaurant.

Bin seit vielen Jahren Gast im Hotel Waitl und mega zufrieden … vor allem, die Frühstücksfee Heidi ist so unendlich lieb … So nun zu meinem Abend im Gasthaus Waitl. Auf meine Frage, ob es ok ist mit Hund ( 3kg ) zu kommen, und meiner Bitte um einen Platz in der hinteren Ecke, um meine alte Mini Hundin auf die mitgebrachte Decke zu setzen, wurde von einer sehr lieben jungen Bedienung nachgekommen. Hund schlief ganz lieb auf der Decke. Dann wurde mir das Essen serviert … mit Kommando „Hund runter“ … worauf ich sagte, dass mir das erlaubt wurde ?? Er sagte ziemlich schroff, er hole jetzt den Chef ? Wieder warten… Essen war mittlerweile schon relativ kalt … Chefin kam und sagte mir, auch recht unfreundlich das ich hier nicht mit Hund essen dürfte … Ich muss sagen… ich verstehe eigentlich alles… nur der Ton macht die Musik.. hätte ich das von Anfang an gewusst, hätte ich mir einen Salat to go mit aufs Zimmer genommen. So musste ich gehen.. Getränk blieb voll am Tisch stehen… Salat war matschig im Zimmer angekommen und teuer wars auch noch … Salat und eine Apfelschorle 23 Euro … Hervorzuheben ist das wahnsinnig liebe Verhalten der jungen Bedienung … sie hat sich mindesten 3 mal entschuldigt für das Verhalten … ich hab ihr auch noch Trinkgeld gegeben… sie konnte ja nichts dafür…
