Viet Village Asian Streetfood in Halle (Saale)

I was here today with a friend, the food came quickly and the waiter was nice. I had tofu with vegetables and rice. The tofu seemed fried even though the menu said braised tofu. I thought the food was okay, not as tasty as I had hoped. Reasonably priced.

Food was quite good, one dish was drowned in sauce, one meal wasn't quite the taste I was hoping for. But the breaded chicken strips for the child were super tasty. Service great. What I don't like about the ambience is that there are only stools/benches without backrests.

By far the best Asian in Halle for years! Great ambience and super tasty, beautifully prepared food. Always happy ☺️

Absolutely excellent food. I had a pork dish with rice noodles and salad that was better than any Vietnamese food I've had in Berlin. Very attentive and friendly service. Wonderful. It's a shame that I'm not in Halle more often, otherwise I would be a regular and try out the promising menu. Really highly recommended!

Very extensive menu, something for everyone from vegetarian to duck, chicken and beef. Fancy drinks. You should reserve a table in advance. The food was on the table incredibly quickly. And it was very tasty. We'll be back, with a little more time to explore the menu further.

NOT SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS/VEGANS Yesterday we came for dinner and had the worst experience ever. They bring me a dish we didn't order (my friend ordered in German, so it is not a mistake because of the language). We told them we didn't order it and the waitress was literally shouting to us and forced me to take the dish. The big problem actually wasn't the mistake but the attitude of the waitress, you know, you are not supposed to shout to the clients.. Moreover the dish was with fish and I am a vegetarian, so couldn't eat it. Please, I understand that there was a mistake, but I encourage you to be nicer with your clients.

You can still eat well and cheaply here, although the quality of the food is not always consistently convincing. Unfortunately, the last visit no longer corresponded to the good experiences of the past. The tofu was dry and rubbery, as if it had been prepared for a long time and had only been in the fryer for a short time. The crispy duck was in no way inferior to the tofu described. But as already mentioned, we were always satisfied until this evening and hope that it was the exception.

Food okay, hygiene too. Service was quick, but after everything that was ordered was served, no one paid any attention to us. We wanted to order drinks and desserts again, but that wasn't possible. In addition, cutlery was being cleaned in the Sèparèe next door and music was being listened to very loudly. Somehow we didn't feel welcome.

Very tasty and close to the original taste as you get to know it in Southeast Asia. 👍

Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed. Waiting despite reservations. The service was overwhelmed and the food was unfortunately not good at all. Too bad.

Visited with a Vietnamese friend who said the food and atmosphere was very authentic. Very good food and reasonably priced. Really good service from the staff who spoke English. Would definitely recommend.

It's a shame, nice atmosphere, but as already mentioned, unfriendly staff that could even be ignored. The summer roll was huge and wrapped in rice paper that had not been properly soaked, making it tough. The sauce is unrecognizable. The satay skewer wasn't a skewer but pressed meat and the satay sauce didn't see a single peanut. Too bad.

Were there today and will probably come back more often to browse through the very extensive map. Interestingly, there are not just 1 or 2 sides for vegetarian. There's almost a complete menu here, from starters to main courses! Attached is the complete current menu because I only saw individual photos.

Favorite restaurant! Inside it's bursting with ingenious furnishing ideas, which is only surpassed by the selection of food. Service is friendly and on the ball. Tip: wonton soup

I was extremely disappointed. I arrived at the above establishment hungry and burnt out with my girlfriend and a very handsome buddy. We had to wait until we were starving for our order. The waiters preferred to smoke or stay indoors. Please don't come here.

I had a dinner with my girlfriend in this restaurant. 1)They always came with our food to another table and we had to call our food. 2)The waitress forgot to put the right order even tho I asked to repeat the order to be more sure. 3) In a warm evening, drinks were warm. The ice cubes arrived after 10 minutes. 4) I had to ask for Cutlery because they forgot them. Very bad experience.

Im Vorbeigehen haben wir gesehen, dass im Aussenbereich direkt an der Strasse noch ein Zweiertischchen in dem ansonsten vollen Lokal frei war. Erstmal haben wir unseren Bargeldbestand gezählt ( Kartenzahlung war nicht möglich) und entschieden uns dann für einen Besuch. Die Karte ist im Format eines Schreibblocks gestaltet, sehr groß, unübersichtlich und fällt teilweise auseineinander. Wir mussten relativ lange warten, bis wir endlich unsere Bestellung aufgeben konnten. Das Essen kam aber dann recht zügig - und so leid es mir tut - ich kann die Begeisterung bezüglich des Essens , die hier geäussert wird, überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen, Als Vorspeise hatte ich die Hähnchenspiesse mit Erdnusssosse und Salat. Das Fleisch der Spiesse war knochentrocken, die Erdnussssosse nicht flüssig, sondern eine Paste und die Salatmenge nicht der Rede wert. Die Wantan-Suppe meines Mannes war ganz gut, jedoch war auch das Hähnchenfleisch seines Hauptgerichtes staubtrocken (ich möchte das Wort mit dem *f* vermeiden) und zusammen mit dem Gemüse und dem Salat in einer scharfen Brühe lieblos auf den Teller geklatscht. Der Reis wurde separat serviert. Auch mein Lachs zwar deutlich zu durch, allerdings haben die Süsskartoffelpommes und die Garnelen ganz gut geschmeckt, ebenso die dazu gereichte Sosse. Zu den Garnelen hätte ich mir aber ein feuchtes Tuch gewünscht, um mir hinterher die Finger säubern zu können, da diese mit Schale serviert wurden. Ausserdem fahren die Autos in der Strasse nur wenige Zentimeter an der Balustrade vorbei, an der die Tische stehen - auch nicht gerade angenehm. Vielleicht haben wir ja einen schlechten Tag erwischt, aber wir kommen nicht wieder. Da gibts bessere vietnamesische Restaurants - bestimmt auch in Halle

The decoration actually gives the impression that you are sitting in a restaurant or bistro in Vietnam. Large selection of different dishes, all very tasty in their own way.

Unexpected place during our walk, took us back to Vietnam

I've been eating here for years and have always been satisfied. Now I've been negatively surprised lately. Beautiful dishes were exchanged for other (older?) ones that were chipped and damaged. Paying with a card only starts at €20…pretty annoying. The portions (sauces, dips, etc.) are getting smaller and the prices are rising. The service also leaves a lot to be desired... staff stand around and chat instead of checking on the customer.

The fried pork was a banger. The same applies to the homemade drinks. Come on everyone! ❤️

Disgusting! This was the third time, but it looks like it will be the last. Having chosen a table near the window, they moved us and told us that this table was reserved. The waiter seated us at another table, also near the window. Having already chosen a dish, we were asked to move to the next table, which was in the middle of the hall and not cozy, saying that that table was reserved for five (then why weren’t we told about this right away?!!). We saw that people had accumulated at the entrance and they simply wanted to move us from a better place. Disappointed, we left and it looks like we won't be back.

The ambience, service and quality of the food are good. Not exquisite but solid and recommended. Reservations are also recommended during the week.

It was such an experience! I was amazed by the food here especially the one i had today: Bun Cha Nuong. It was so real, and so close to the vietnamise authentic because I can smell the smell of smoke. Seems like the meat was actually grilled. The drink is also great but not special. I love how the waiters and waitress here treat their customers. Thank you for this experience for the first time I’ve been in this city

Wir waren an einem Mittwochabend ohne Reservierung spontan auf der Suche nach einem Tisch für zwei Personen hier. Nach sehr kurzer Wartezeit bekamen wir einen Tisch Im Nebenzimmer. Vorspeisen (sehr zu empfehlender Papayasalat) und Hauptgerichte (Curry mit Gemüse, Rindfleisch und Reis sowie Pho Bo) kamen schnell und waren unheimlich lecker. Als Getränk passte die hausgemachte Limonade mit Limette, Minze und Ingwer ausgezeichnet dazu. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich freundlich und fix, das Essen fantastisch bei einem guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir empfehlen es gerne weiter!

A very cozy restaurant. The food is very tasty and relatively large portions. The cocktails are made a bit sweet for me (tastes and slaps), but other than that they are very delicious! I've been there 4 times so far, but I'll definitely go again.

Stopped in spontaneously while walking past and were totally pleasantly surprised. The food is very tasty and what I was particularly pleased about was the fresh ingredients. Amazing food, horrible service. Everyone in my dinner party loved our meals, very very good food here. Unfortunately the service was awful. We arrived on time for our 19:30 dinner reservations and we were seated immediately, but at about 20:00 a server made us get up and move to another table after we had already been served drinks. The server was rude and snobbish about it, did not offer us an apology, and did not carry our drinks for us even though our hands were clearly full carrying our jackets and bags. Totally embarrassing for us and unprofessional of the restaurant to mess up a dinner reservation seating and treat us like the problem. Would not recommend, which is a shame because the food is some of the best I've had in Halle.

If you want to enjoy good Vietnamese food, with great service and a rustic atmosphere, this is the right place for you. My favorite is undoubtedly the coconut soup. Too spicy for me, but that's exactly why I keep going there. 😁

Nice atmosphere with tables that are too flat. It is very tiring for taller people to sit there. The wontons were great. The curry was bad. I ordered a mango curry, which had a very strange sauce. There was also pineapple in it, which according to the menu wasn't excellent. The menu is too big for my taste, you're a bit overwhelmed with the selection. Staff was friendly.

Were there on Saturday evening and therefore made a special reservation. Nevertheless, we (like everyone without a reservation) had to wait until a table became available. I make a reservation for that so I don't have to wait. Unfortunately, the evening didn't start off so well. Food and drinks came relatively quickly and tasted good on average. Only something with duck is not recommended as it was riddled with bone splinters.

The curry sauce was oversalted, the vegan "mock chicken" is expensive and bad: it consists of an also oversalted crust with a filling of an indefinable consistency (liver sausage?) and no taste. In addition, the presentation is unsuitable, the narrow plate is far too small for the rice portion. The drinks (lychee iced tea and black tea with fruits) were delicious. Service friendly and quick. Seating is mostly benches without backrests, some of them awkward in the middle of the room. Throw away the sauce if you slip on the salt! The waiter seems to have already known!

Etwas später am Abend bekommt man ohne Reservierung dann wieder Plätze. Wir wurden nett empfangen und die Bedienung war flott. Die Speisen sind wie immer absolut lecker und ein Hochgenuss.

Everything was wonderful, only one star deducted for the ambience because not all benches have backrests, but ok, if you know that you can adjust to Drau, otherwise everything is very nice.

We thought about changing the restaurant right from the start. The service wasn't that great. Drinks and food came quite quickly. The seating is quite uncomfortable if you sit for longer ;) I actually don't understand the hype but it's definitely worth a visit.

Die Reservierung hat gut geklappt und wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Nach kurzer Zeit erhielten wir unsere bestellten Getränke und kurz darauf kamen die Speisen. Nun ja, zügig war es schon, aber immerhin besser als ein ewiges Warten.

Picked this restaurant to eat out with the family. Food is not particularly freshly prepared. Very pricey for the quality. The cocktail I took was not good and I asked for a change. I was given another one with less ingredients than the first one. This is a bad practice. I will not visit the place again.

Das Essen ist sehr gut. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal, die Sitzbänke auf Dauer ziemlich hart. Am Besten reservieren! Es ist immer ziemlich voll.

Schlechter Start gleich am Anfang. Trotz Reservierung bekamen wir keinen Tisch. Man wird offenbar so platziert wie man kommt. Kleines Restaurant, voll und viel Lärm. Das Essen würde ich als geschmacklich gut bezeichnen, jedoch nicht als hervorragend, besonders am Gemüse wird gespart. Ich werde nicht mehr hingehen.

Ich liebe diesen Laden und das Essen. Es ist immer frisch und sehr lecker. Man merkt den Streetfood Einfluss, was aber durchaus positiv ist. Sowohl zum Abendessen als auch zur Mittagszeit kann man hier schnelles, frisches und sehr leckeres Essen bekommen.

Sehr gutes und leckeres vietnamesisches Essen, keine 08/15 Karte und sehr gute vegetarische/vegane Optionen. Gemütliche Atmosphäre und das Personal war sehr nett. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut, große Portionen für einen angemessenen Preis. Man kann das Essen auch mitnehmen, wenn man nicht alles schafft.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes vietnamesisches Restaurant. Es steckt viel Liebe im Detail und genauso kann man das auch auf die Auswahl der Speisekarte übertragen. Die Speisekarte ist geteilt in normale Vor- & Hauptspeisen und dann noch einmal extra vegetarische Vor & Hauptspeisen und Vorspeisen. So findet wirklich jeder und jede ein passendes Gericht. Die Pho war wirklich sehr gut und schmackhaft. Bei den vegetarischen Sommerrollen muss ich trotzdem anmerken, dass so gut wie keine Kräuter drin waren und der Tofu einfach nur geschmacklos hinein verarbeitet wurde. Da könnte man durchaus noch etwas verbessern. Ansonsten wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Dem Treiben auf der Straße kann man hier nett zusehen, während man angenehmes Essen genießt. Leider trotz Reservierung lange gewartet, um einen Platz zu bekommen. Das fühlt sich dann nicht nach Wertschätzung gegenüber dem Gast an. Wäre das Essen schlechter würde ich wegen diesem Erlebnis nicht wieder kommen.
