The food at this restaurant is excellent and very healthy too! I love eating here and order in often. It's a real boon for people with lactose intolerance. There are also plenty of vegan options! I highly recommend it!

We spontaneously decided to eat there in the early evening. We hadn't reserved beforehand, but we were lucky and got a table after a short wait. The food was extremely tasty and the portions were more than generous. Very good value for money and attentive staff. We enjoyed it very much.

Very tasty vegan and gluten-free pasta, and very attentive and friendly service. When ordering, we were even asked if we had any gluten allergies. This suggested they would also be on the lookout for contamination in customers with celiac disease.

The chairs outside could be more comfortable, especially with lumbago. But the food, the pink pasta, is incredibly delicious! I've been there twice now and had it both times. 🤤 I'd love the recipe! If they also had vegan Parmesan (I highly recommend the one from simplyV), it would be even more perfect!

Vegetarian food cafe, which was recommended to our company to try. We all chose different dishes, and we tasted each other. Everything was very tasty. Compliments to the chefs! I chose pink pasta - with beetroot, zucchini and walnuts and mint. It was very tasty!

Delicious antipasti. Unfortunately, they no longer offer a variety of hummus. The bread wasn't as fresh or tasty warm as usual. The friendliness of the service outside could really be improved. It's a shame, I've been coming back for many years. Not anytime soon.

From the Mediterranean starter plate to the main courses and dessert, all the dishes were truly exceptionally delicious. It's hard to imagine the diverse flavor nuances that can be created when the chef truly knows his craft—which is absolutely the case here!

I ordered an Asian crepe, and it was an interesting experience. If you like fusion cuisine, this is the place for you :) It's popular on Saturday evenings, so expect a wait.

Very nice place, with tasty vegan food! I tried and then the next day I went back cause I wanted to taste the other food too :) The staff is so nice, they smile everytime!

I had spaghetti with olive oil, and the garlic was burnt, which ruined the whole meal's flavor, something that shouldn't happen to a good chef. The hard wooden folding chairs were incredibly uncomfortable, but at least the service was friendly. Overall, though, it's not something I'd recommend or visit again.

Vegan-friendly and how!!! I never get full from the variety of food. Even when I ate more than my stomach would tolerate, I still felt quite full. Everything tastes excellent, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I've rarely been to a place where I can happily mix starters, main courses, and desserts and show off my happy-eating dance with all my heart. Thank you! I'll be back :)

I really enjoyed everything. The rice pudding and pasta were great. A tablecloth or table runner would have been great for outside, though. Unfortunately, I dropped my spoon through the cracks in the table twice.

Ich war sehr zufrieden mit meinem Besuch bei Vengo! Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend – frisch, kreativ und richtig lecker. Auch die Getränke konnten überzeugen, und das Dessert war ein echtes Highlight. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis: Für die Qualität bekommt man hier wirklich viel geboten. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen: Leider konnte ich nicht mit Visa zahlen. Das kann – gerade wenn man das entsprechende Hinweisschild übersieht – zu unangenehmen Situationen führen. In der heutigen Zeit wäre es wünschenswert, wenn auch Visa akzeptiert würde. Nichtsdestotrotz: Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die gutes vegetarisches Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre genießen möchten!

The food was so good I went back 3 times on my visit to Bremen. I ordered the Mediterranean mezze , gluten free soy bolognese and avocado mousse. Everything was delicious and the staff are so kind and welcoming, I will definitely be back!

This restaurant has one of the best eggplant dishes I have ever tasted. Absolutely cozy with a great selection of plant-based food items and the service is pretty good. I would definitely go back again specifically for that eggplant dish. The cakes are way too sweet for my taste and the coffee is mediocre imo but the food is totally worth it

Only German credit cards accepting, not convenient for tourists at all

After there was nothing for me on the Alexander von Humboldt, the small but beautiful Vengo was the rescue! I arrived there half-starved. It was packed but my companion and I were given a table outside with cozy blankets if needed. There was a lot going on on the street (Saturday evening) and there was a lot to look at. The food came quickly and was very tasty! There was even a gluten-free dessert. The service was top. My companion said the toilet wasn't that inviting. Otherwise great, please keep it up

Nice restaurant in the district, delicious food. However, you can only pay with a Girocard or in cash. When paying in cash, people tried quite intrusively to get a tip. Otherwise quite good.

Went to Vengo for the first time and loved it. Nice service and a large selection of vegan dishes. After a delicious antipasti plate and a large portion of pasta, there was unfortunately no more room for the delicious-looking desserts. Happy next time! I'll be back.

Absolute recommendation if you are looking for good vegan food. The price-performance ratio is hard to beat.

You can really only find that good if you compare it with the rest of Bremen. Inappropriate vegetables thrown together in random plates with random (far too sweet) sauces, boring pasta with boring sauce, boring salads... Tragic. And the ugliest art of all time on the wall (what are these "Mona Lisas"...)

This vegetarian restaurant can only be recommended. I ate a vegetarian bolognese and a Mediterranean starter plate. I was absolutely thrilled with both of them, I'm not a vegetarian but I was absolutely thrilled with both. And the service was super nice and accommodating. 🥰

People who don't feel like working. One employee who tried to save what could not be saved. Instead of ordering water, I was offered wine. Well. How can you hear wine instead of water when ordering? Food is low-priced. You can eat it but not worth repeating. You can't pay with foreign bank cards! Had to get cash first.

The seats outside are great and you have a great view of the district. Unfortunately the service on Saturday afternoon seemed very haphazard. 3-4 employees tried to serve us and we still waited longer for the drinks. The coffee wasn't that tasty. The cake was okay!

Delicious. I had the Fungi Crepe. It was totally good. My friend had the potato casserole, which wasn't bad either. Everyone was super friendly!

Vengo is highly recommended - every visit so far has been great. The vegan menu is filled with delicious, sometimes unusual dishes. The food is really something special and you'll be full too. The cakes and Snickers cake are particularly recommended. There is also a fresh juice of the day, which I really like. The price-performance ratio is good. The service is always friendly, courteous and usually quick. The furnishings are lovingly and uniquely designed. In the warmer months you can dine outside here - although it is a little noisy because the seats are right on the sidewalk and street. However, this is completely normal for the location (Bremen district) and is the same in all shops.

Nice little restaurant. We were only here for a coffee and a piece of cake, but it was absolutely enjoyable. The rest of the food also looked delicious and the faces of the other guests also said so.

Vengo is really good and tasty. The antipasti items are a culinary delight and highly recommended. The green Thai curry, yummy. If you want to complain at a high level, it's because the portions are a bit small. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio is right. Small cozy restaurant with nice staff. I always enjoy coming and can recommend it to others.

Hello, it's been a long time since I've been to Vengo, today when the outside temperature was 1 degree. My husband and I were cold, we sat there in winter jackets, the candles were all out and not lit even when asked. For me it needs more care on site. The food was very tasty and the service was very nice!

Great food and great atmosphere, worth it and definitely recommend - only downside et the struggle for payment as they told us at the end they don’t take foreign cards…. Well this should be mentioned before and the lady taking the payment was not understanding not seem to care about the struggle. Apart from that we would come back again !

Unfortunately the food is nothing special at all. I think everything tastes somewhat similar. Vegetarian cuisine is hotter. Service was okay. One service person was very nice, the other didn't smile. The store itself is quite nice. So okay for simple vegetarian cuisine and antipasti.

It was a very mixed experience. We had called in advance to make a reservation and were told it wasn't necessary, so we came spontaneously and unfortunately had to wait a few minutes, everything seemed very hectic and not very inviting. We were then seated at a large table without being asked, but still with a strange couple, so far so normal. But then I was asked to slide again because a man wanted to sit at the table. Now I was sitting between two completely strangers and I didn't feel comfortable at all. The ambience and the service somehow topped it off and we left after a drink. I wouldn't recommend it. The food looked appealing, but what good is the best meal if the surroundings don't invite you to enjoy it. Never again for me. I have never walked out of a restaurant in my life because I felt uncomfortable. Until today

We have been to Vengo several times because the service and food are really great. But there is one star less because the entrance area and the first two tables should not actually be occupied. People are constantly walking and standing next to you, behind you or at the counter. Some are waiting for their food, which is pre-ordered or spontaneously taken away, or someone is constantly coming and going past. It's loud, hectic and drifts through the constantly open door. Accordingly, we did not have a relaxing evening and would not recommend these two tables to anyone and would not reserve them again. A little tip: thick curtains and a partition as a waiting area, especially in the cold season.

The food was delicious. There were different alternatives. Since Turkish and Mediterranean-style food is naturally vegetarian, there are many options. The environment is pleasant. The employees are caring and friendly. It is useful to make a reservation. It was full when we went.

This time there was pumpkin soup and avocado chocolate mousse. It was very tasty again 😋 Even though I'm not vegan, I had a delicious meal here. It wasn't exactly cheap. I had half an eggplant filled with tomato rice and tomato sauce with salad and mint dip for €13.90 and for dessert a chocolate mousse with avocado. The waitress wasn't very motivated and we couldn't get a smile out of her.

The vegan snickers cake is very tasty, but unfortunately you are not welcome there. I had an appointment there with a friend. There were still a few large tables free in the large room, but I deliberately didn't sit there because there were only two of us. There were still two free tables in the smaller bar room next door. One in the middle of the room, so you sit with your back to the entire restaurant. This may not be a problem for some, but I am not comfortable with people breathing down my neck. I then decided on a table on the side and sat on the bench there and waited for my friend. I sat there for a few minutes, and during that time no group of 3-4 people came that needed the table. Nevertheless, I was approached by the staff and asked me to please sit at the table in the middle of the room as it was intended for 2 people and the one I was sitting at could accommodate 3-4 people. But I just felt uncomfortable there and left because of that, the staff didn't care. Will not come back and will also tell friends about my experience.

Super delicious pasta with cream sauce and mushrooms. There was still no fruity surprise. Great combo. The service seemed a bit cold. Maybe had a bad day. The ambience didn't really appeal to me. But I can imagine that others will like it very much.

there were two of us. The 2-seater table could have been a little bigger...we thought at first, but...last but not least...it was enough. Extremely nice staff. Very attentive, always asking (subtly) whether we were still well looked after. The food was very tasty. We had pasta and the recommendation of the house. Then a delicious piece of cake. The prices are moderate. Be that as it may, anyone who goes "meatless" in Bremen will not be "served" here 😉, but will be served to their satisfaction. At least that's how I rate our stay. A next visit to Bremen could, to put it bluntly, make us repeat offenders 🙋‍♂️

Bevor wir in die nahegelegene Heldenbar (unbedingt hingehen!) weiterzogen, holten wir uns im Vengo eine (fleischlose) Grundlage für den Abend und die Getränke, die noch kommen sollten. Was soll ich sagen? Ich esse gerne Fleisch, aber hier hat es mir so gar nicht gefehlt. Wir haben gemütlich gesessen, wurden gut versorgt ("magst Du Überraschungen?") und verließen diesen Ort satt und zufrieden. Zu viert haben wir uns zwei große Vorspeisen-Tapas (mediterran und asiatisch) geteilt und bei den Hauptspeisen war von Buntes Dal Curry über die gefüllte Aubergine bis zur Asia Pasta alles dabei. Ach so, aufs Bierchen (Störtebecker) mussten wir auch nicht verzichten. Muss man ja inzwischen erwähnen, da es immer mehr Läden gibt, in denen kein Alkohol ausgeschenkt wird. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines erneuten Besuchs bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Bremen ist groß.

Da immer wieder Veganer , in Steakhäuser gehen und dann in der Bewertung bemängeln das es zu wenig Vegane Auswahl gibt, frag ich, wo war hier die fleischliche Auswahl???

Very pleasant atmosphere in the heart of the Bremer Steintor. I really liked the extra spicy green Thai curry. The taste of fresh coriander was positive. The price of the meal was also absolutely fair at €12.90 and is therefore definitely recommended. There is only a deduction for the watery mango lassi. The taste was okay, but it was very carelessly prepared and the price was at best "satisfactory".
