We felt very comfortable with you again. Very nice, relaxed atmosphere and really tasty, vegan food. Very good value for money and a very appropriate selection. The boss is very friendly and you have the feeling that this is his world. We ourselves take a long drive from Braunschweig to visit you every now and then. Kind regards, Nadine and Malte

Excellent lunch buffet for a good price. There was a good selection of food for different tastes. Warm dishes, Lentil soup, salad bar and dessert options. The ambiance is very eclectic with warm vibes. Service was a bit slow, but friendly and knowledgeable, so not a big deal if you're not in a rush.

We were there for Christmas dinner yesterday. So first of all the beautiful, the ambience was very, very nice, that has to be mentioned. Friendly staff when they think about serving you or bringing you drinks that you have to wait a long time for. The buffet was delicious, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. The salads are fresh and the dessert is really delicious. The dishes are served fresh and different dishes are always offered. Unfortunately, you have to say that the places were not well distributed, you shouldn't place dogs directly at a buffet, even two, even if they are under the table but they still came out to shake themselves at every second person. Unfortunately the roulades weren't a hit; we discovered that the roulades were rather rubbery and the mustard was very dominant. Unfortunately, the meatballs also tasted a lot like Seitan, which was still very intense. I have made vegan roulades myself and think that they can be made much better. We had high hopes for the vegan roulades in particular and were really disappointed.

I came here wanting to eat a dish from the menu. Apparently this only works from 5 p.m., I was told by the waitress. So we had to go to the buffet. A note on the website would be nice. It was disappointing. We were served only after a good 20 minutes, even though only 5 tables were occupied. The food was generally okay, but was more like a side dish buffet than a lunch buffet. A lot of things are very salty. Unfortunately, the Brussels sprouts were over-seasoned and inedible. There were no real main courses like patties, seitan, stuffed vegetables or or or. Overall very sobering. There are also no signs or descriptions in front of the food. However, the desserts were all delicious and the atmosphere is pleasant. We're still not coming back.

We wanted to go out for a delicious vegan meal with a larger group at the end of November. The Hiller in Hanover was highly recommended to us. It is probably one of the first vegetarian restaurants in Hanover. Unfortunately the first impression wasn't particularly nice, everything seemed dusty and unkempt. It's also not particularly nice having your forearms stuck to the wobbly tables. We were kindly asked to go to the buffet as the drink service would take a while. The buffet, if you can call it that, was a disgrace. The salad buffet was the most tolerable, at least the cucumbers, peppers and bulgur were actually fresh, and there was also red cabbage, which was ok too. There were also two indefinable pastes or dressings that could not be assigned due to their consistency. Bread was also missing for a long time and when it came it was hard to bite, even for young people. Now to the main courses. You would expect fresh ingredients and crunchy vegetables in a vegan restaurant, but not here. There were seven containers of food that probably came from the weekend business and were now warmed up on Monday, but in fact everything was overcooked. Sometimes you couldn't tell what was in the containers. The food also lacked any concept. There was red cabbage, probably straight from the jar, without any spices or ingredients like apples. Then there was a white mass with green dots, which turned out to be cauliflower and broccoli mash at the table. Due to the poor lighting, the dishes on the buffet could not be seen. Both are clearly side dishes, but there was no main course to eat them with. Red cabbage just doesn't go well with curry soup. The plates were piled up on the tables because the only waitress, who was also the cook (heater) and had to bring the drinks, was completely overwhelmed. When asked whether the dishes could be removed, he replied, we don't see it as a big problem here, but you can also bring them to the counter. Maybe the Hiller was once a good restaurant. Or you shouldn't visit it on Monday when the leftovers from the weekend are being sold. We actually got our drinks as we ate dessert. The dessert was really very good.

Was here for my employer's Christmas party. Food from the buffet was okay. Service underground. Waited 90 minutes for drinks. Checked with service every ten minutes. Finally we got supplies at the kiosk around the corner. I've never experienced anything like this before.

Very disappointed! Ordered vegan chicken thighs and waited an hour for the food (it wasn't particularly busy). The food was lukewarm, the red cabbage was tasteless and the rest was too salty. There was a wooden bone in the chicken leg that was already past its best. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit, 50€ for 2 main courses and 2 non-alcoholic drinks, far too expensive for the poor quality. The service was slow, unfriendly, inattentive and incorrectly allocated reserved tables. The menu online, in the restaurant and at the door were different and there was still only one thing. On a weekday there was only one main course, everything else was out. The view into the kitchen was unpleasant, dirty floors and a lot of other dirt.

I come to this restaurant with my granddaughter at least once a year and we have a good time. This time we took the buffet offer again and we were not disappointed. Everything was so delicious, the salads, the different vegetables, the soy slices, the tagliatelle, potatoes, the desserts and so on. Yes, it tasted really good and we were more than full. We'll definitely be back next year, greetings from Schaumburger Land :-)

There was a lunch buffet for 15 euros per person, we were invited. The food was very good. Bread a bit greasy and the fried potatoes also looked quite greasy.

Me and my girlfriend went to the lunch buffet today, it was incredibly delicious! Great desserts, especially the mango cream... Fantastic food, good selection of dishes, delicious drinks, the owner very accommodating and incredibly friendly! The dog in the restaurant was really cute. I definitely recommend the restaurant and will gladly come again myself. A dream even for non-vegans.

I used to be a regular here. The food was delicious, simply unbeatable. Today I stopped by Hiller after a long time and was so excited about the fine taste. Unfortunately I was bitterly disappointed. At lunchtime there is now only a buffet. The taste is bland and without any kick. Instead, the mushy ratatouille was floating in the oil. The special thing that previously distinguished Hiller has been completely lost. Too bad

Very nice cozy restaurant with great food. We had the buffet and there really is something for everyone. I enjoyed everything very much. And it's really very cozy and specially furnished. If we're in Hanover again, I'll be happy to come back.

It was our first visit to Restaurant Hiller. Our daughter invited us there. A great atmosphere, the boss is very friendly and the employees are very accommodating. The food was very tasty and the wines tasted very good.

After a VERY disappointing buffet evening at the beginning of the year, another try today. The service was slow and inattentive. So the service hasn't improved. The main course came very shortly after the starter, which was not even half eaten. An absolute no-go. The 'skin' of the chicken leg was partly inseparable with a knife. The fried potatoes were far from crispy, some large pieces were mushy inside and very moist. Some of the onion pieces weren't even translucent. The Seitan Schnitzel was tasty and had a good consistency. The Edek mushroom ragout was mediocre and contained a few pieces that weren't chewable - reminded me of a frozen mix from a discount store that I would never buy again. We should have given each other the tiramisu. Since the waitress never looked over at us and didn't respond when she did, I went to the counter when we wanted to pay. When we asked whether it was tasty, we only responded briefly; as expected, no questions were asked. It's a shame, I still have very fond memories of Hiller. We went - despite slow and completely unprofessional service - because the food was so delicious. Unfortunately, this has no longer been the case for a few years.

Went here with a friend. We choose the buffet. Lots of different kinds of food. Soup, potatoes, veggies, salads, dessert. Nice atmosphere.

We chose the buffet and were satisfied with our fill. I can't rate the dessert as it was late and had already run out. Which I also think is ok - less disposal. Price-performance is good. Service is friendly, but I found the ambience at reception to be a bit restless.

Totalreinfall! Bedienung sah uns zwar, aber brachte keine Speiskarten, habe ich nach 10 Min. selbst geholt. Büffet: Speisen zerkocht und wenig originell, vor allem lauwarm, Bratkartoffeln sogar kalt. Mit 22,50€ völlig überteuert. Am Nachbartisch war Decke zur Hälfte umgeschlagen, Besteck war darauf verstreut, das wurde während unseres ganzen Aufenthalts nicht in Ordnung gebracht. Es roch penetrant im Lokal nach Kohl, offensichtlich keine Lüftung. Wir können nur abraten.

As a pure meat eater, I went to a vegetarian/vegan restaurant... everything tasted delicious and I didn't miss meat... the lunch buffet was very tasty, especially in terms of the spice... nice attentive service and the ambience It's funny too... the shop has existed since 1955 and I only found out about it a few days ago... hmmm... 😉

Nice restaurant that now only has vegan dishes on the menu. The food tastes good, but the service could be a little better, or more attention should be paid to ensuring that the buffet is replenished and the white wine was unfortunately a little too warm. The prices are not unreasonable, but you can take it as often as you like. All in all, a good restaurant, albeit a bit expensive.

I have known Hiller since my early childhood and I have so many wonderful memories with it. As vegan families, we love the food, the people and of course Kacy at Hiller most of all. I am proud and happy to have such a great and beautiful restaurant in our city and I will continue to eat at Hiller's for the next forty years.

Very cozy and chic atmosphere. The buffet was extensive, from a variety of salads to varied main courses and delicious desserts. . Non-alcoholic drinks include intense lemonades and spritzers from Limoment and Lütauer. . We will come again. :) . . . P.S.: a signposting of the dishes at the buffet would be the icing on the cake. ;)

For the first time we enjoyed a vegan buffet. Many delicious variations of warm dishes as well as delicious salads and sweet desserts. In addition, the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Can only be recommended!

It was a vegetarian attempt - too dry for me personally, but still delicious. Very cheap lunch buffet, definitely try it and then form your own opinion. Have fun and please keep an open mind.

We came for lunch and when we asked we weren't sure what was on offer, so we left. The variety of vegetables is very extensive because I can cook them myself at home using old recipes from Grandma. As a vegan, I also expect interesting alternative parts in a restaurant that taste like fish or meat like before but are made from vegetables. In particular, there are interesting ingredients here without tofu or soy, because they simply taste worse than peas or champions... and also more sustainable because they are produced here...

The "Hiller" is beautifully decorated and exudes a relaxed, serene atmosphere. The vegetarian buffet is varied and very tasty. Today, however, it took about 20 minutes at 1 p.m. until the fried potatoes and mushroom ragout were added. The landlord is also relaxed, very friendly and knows many of the guests personally. Relaxed and well-fed, I started the 15-minute walk to the main train station at 2 p.m.

Wir sind 3 Personen zum Mittagessen im Hiller heute 19.07.24 ,zum 3 mal in diesem Jahr es war sehr schön, die Gäste waren entspannt, die Musik war leise im Hintergrund , das Essen sehr lecker, die Temperatur heiß , von Salat bis Nachtisch alles dabei , der Kuchen Nachtisch war aus ich habe es der Bedienung mitgeteilt es dauerte nicht mal 5 Minuten und schon war der leckere Apfelkuchen da, wir werden öfters hinfahren, der Besitzer ist Super nett , wir freuen uns ein pläuschchen mit ihm zu halten, kann es gerne weiterempfehlen, Nächte Woche fahre mit 2 Freundinnen dahin ich freue mich sehr .Magdalena Müller

Hugely popular -- reservations are definitely recommended. The number of people made the atmosphere rather overwhelming for me. The buffet dishes are typical buffet food -- hearty, if not very sophisticated. The set menu seems to be much higher quality.

I went to Hiller for the lunch buffet with my son. Even though I'm not vegan, everything tasted great and I didn't miss meat. Service super friendly and very warm. I will go to Hiller more often now. 🥰🥰🥰

Ate the menu for the third time today, and I'm still really impressed.

Since there are a few small celebrations coming up this year, I'm a vegetarian and don't want meat to be eaten at my celebration but also don't necessarily want to ask guests to limit themselves to the meat-free dishes on the menu, I thought of a vegetarian/ vegan restaurant is the solution. After a test visit to check out the restaurant, I wanted to reserve a table for 10 people. At that date (Saturday lunchtime) there is only a buffet, but that doesn't matter because I wanted to take that anyway. The buffet is ok. Some components didn't look so visually appealing, but the taste was fine. Now comes the difficulty: a larger, connected board is apparently only possible on the benches on the wall. But this is unfortunate because everyone approaches the buffet differently and those sitting at the edge always have to get up when someone in the middle wants to go to the buffet. This is even more impractical, especially for older guests. Alternative 1 would be to leave the tables partially spaced apart, which isn't particularly nice for a birthday table. You want to sit together, talk and celebrate. Alternative 2 would be to put the round tables together in the middle of the room, but that is also more of a temporary solution and less suitable for sitting together. Unfortunately, there was no flexibility to swap the square tables from the edge to the center of the room and form a table. If the restaurant is packed, I understand. But we were there at the same time for the rehearsal date (also Saturday lunchtime) and we had the restaurant to ourselves, so there doesn't seem to be a big crowd at the time. It's a shame that the restaurant is no longer able to accommodate us and we now have to look for another location for the celebrations.

The Hillers is simply unbeatable... a top address for connoisseurs of vegan cuisine! The unusual, changing course menus are particularly fantastic. We are happy to accept a journey of 60 minutes or longer! Always worth it... 😋

They offer an afternoon and evening buffet - I had the afternoon buffet (12-3pm)! In the afternoon it’s 15€, after 5pm (dinner time) it increases to 22.50€, and always is all you can eat. There are 9 main course components, 6 salads, 1 soup and 3 desserts. Everything was delicious. They also offer a la carte dining! Plus there’s a cute dog that belongs to the owner

Actually a very good restaurant and a delicious buffet. Unfortunately it didn't work at all last time. When we arrived it was very empty and we had to get up 3 times and come back with empty plates because there was still nothing there. Everything was only refilled 30 minutes before the buffet was over. Even after asking several times, there was no reasonable answer. We hadn't experienced it like that before

We were there for a buffet meal. As a "part-time" vegetarian, the salad buffet alone pleasantly surprised me - unusual, extremely seasoned salata. The buffet was rich and filled with a wide variety of dishes. My only criticism: the dishes were very simple in terms of craftsmanship. Everything was super tasty, but nothing blew me away. So next time we'll come back à la carte (definitely)!

That evening there was a choice between a multi-course menu and a buffet. The menu at the neighboring table was very lengthy and the vegetarian buffet (unfortunately mostly simply prepared/cooked vegetables with various cans) was only refilled hesitantly. When many tables are occupied, the room is quite loud and the people going to the buffet make it very busy and uncomfortable. I think Hiller's focus on vegan/vegetarian food is a good idea, but the atmosphere and service can clearly be expanded. Unfortunately, price/performance wasn't quite right either.

We found out about this restaurant from a television report. Among other things, a vegan buffet is offered. We were there during the week. I would have liked more selection for a buffet. There was a lentil soup, ratatoulle, red cabbage, gnochi, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, soy schnitzel and two desserts. Although the restaurant was not busy, ordering drinks took a long time and refilling at the buffet took far too long. It's a shame everything was very tasty, but as I said, I would have liked more choice at the buffet. I'm not a pure vegan, but I enjoy eating the food and actually wanted to expand my knowledge of the food through the buffet. Since the food available was delicious, I will visit the restaurant again on another day. Maybe then the buffet would be more varied. Despite all this, we can recommend the restaurant if you want to eat vegan or vegetarian!

Nicht mehr vergleichbar mit der Zeit vor 2019. Die Auswahl beim Buffet ist nicht so groß und die meisten Speisen werden nicht nachgelegt. Wir kamen um 19 Uhr dorthin und ab 20 Uhr wurde kaum noch aufgefüllt ( nur die Beilagen wurden nachgelegt). Die Menge an Kuchen für den Nachtisch war auch knapp. Die Bedienung muss sich dafür einfachen Ausreden ausdenken. Die Bedienung ist leider nicht aufmerksam. Für 22,5 eur/p.P. war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis schlecht.

Super delicious food with friendly staff. Except that the sweet potato dish was not refilled promptly at the afternoon buffet. As a fan of it, I thought that was a shame. By the time it came I was already paying. But otherwise everything is very good quality! The young staff could be a little more courteous, but are not unfriendly. I'd love to go there again!

The food was delicious. It's a bit of a shame that you have to pay the full €22.50 for the evening buffet when there is no more dessert.

Unfortunately we were disappointed by the buffet for the second time this evening. Contrary to what the service said, most of the hot food was not freshly prepared. The fried potatoes (just warm potato pieces with fat) were lukewarm (like everything else), some were very dark and dried out, the (presumably) Seitan parts were very heartily seasoned, which was too salty when I picked them up because they weren't covered were and had lost water. The vegan currywurst was noticeably dried out and bland. The red cabbage was well seasoned, as were the mushroom sauce and the lentil vegetables. But these are also dishes that can be kept warm for longer without losing much of their taste. The sweet potatoes in mango sauce were boring. The raw food (salad) was okay, but was also significantly better. The "fresh" dessert consisted of two large bowls; in a cheesecake cream (or something similar), strange consistency - gritty, flavor cannot be determined, and the shell only contained a relatively small residue, which cannot be explained at 6 p.m. (the restaurant opens again at 5 p.m. after a lunch break ) and didn't really look appetizing. The contents of the second bowl of mango cream were only half full and had clearly dried out from the top edge to the mixture! Both tasted very artificial. When I criticized the service, according to which everything was fresh, I was told that it wasn't that busy today. For me there is no excuse for poor quality. The service today was unusually fast.

We were at the restaurant around 2 p.m. Only a buffet was offered, which was okay in quality, but nothing more. The main course (soy schnitzel with fried potatoes) was not refilled, fried potatoes were just cold leftovers during our 45-minute stay. Overall, the service seemed slightly disinterested. A pity......

The lunch buffet is a dream! The waiter collected the money without being asked. Reason: shift change. Someone probably didn't want to give the transfer fee the tip...

It was our first time at Restaurant Hiller and we chose the winter 5-course menu. The food was really good, the vegan goose was amazing. So so delicious. I've rarely eaten better. Next time we'll be happy to come back for the buffet, it looked incredibly tasty.

In terms of atmosphere, the shop is something between India, an eco-village and a good farmhouse. Somehow charmingly old-fashioned and strangely incongruous but still warm. My expectations of getting mediocre, rustic German cuisine were more than fulfilled! That's exactly what I was hoping for! The tastes of childhood but in vegetarian and vegan. This is rare and difficult to obtain in this form. I'd love to go there again!

So, the food on the buffet was partly empty or almost empty. One can say that one has had enough. The waitress was busy chatting, yes, very important in English, was definitely a British C-celebrity, so we only had one drink. But I had somehow already thought that when I came to the restaurant. It was at least worth a try.

We were here again after a few years and immediately knew why we hadn't been there for so long. It's just not pretty. The chairs are old and unstable, the food is overcooked and poorly seasoned. The bottle of Staatl.Fachinger was replaced with Harzburger water without any notice and there was no dessert even after waiting 15 minutes. It's also way too loud and definitely too crowded. Less is more after all. Sorry. It's not worth coming here from outside. Then we'd rather cook ourselves. It's nice that the boss hasn't lost his warmth yet - he runs the place as personable as ever and even greets the guests personally.

Very tasty food, pleasant atmosphere, pug included 😉. We tried the Reibach voucher from 2024 and then discovered a very tasty new gin. Will definitely come back… oh yes, the menu and buffet looked delicious too.

The taste of the food was ok to good. Unfortunately, the service and the waiting time left something to be desired. Despite reserving a table, there was a 3/4 hour wait before the drinks were even taken and until the food was completely served, a total of over 3 hours passed. So if you have the right budget and enough time, you can definitely get a delicious meal here, but you should plan for the time required.

We had the lunch buffet. I was very disappointed. Everything was just lukewarm, bland and hardly seasoned. There was also no labeling, which is very strange with one-pot dishes. If you cook vegetarian/vegan yourself, you shouldn't expect anything. The service is actually non-existent. I also find it unprofessional when the service eats at a table. I had to go to the counter for my cappuccino and it was still forgotten. The restaurant has a lot of potential, which in my opinion is completely wasted. The food and the limited staff seem like the restaurant is in financial difficulties. On the other hand, the lunch buffet isn't really good advertising either. I will try the a la cart meal again as I would like to support a vegan restaurant. But I hope the reviews are taken seriously (since everyone complains about the same thing). I'm coming back just because of the nice owner and the cute dog.

We had a wonderful evening in the Hiller restaurant. Not only did we receive extremely friendly and attentive service, but we were also treated to culinary delights. We had the Winter Magic menu and each of the five courses was great. The plates were beautifully presented, creatively put together and simply delicious.

Ein sehr leckeres Restaurant mit einem tollen Konzept. Ich habe das weihnachtliche Gericht, vegane Ente mit Rotkohl und Klößen, gegessen. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war super. Das Personal war ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
