I have known Hiller since my early childhood and I have so many wonderful memories with it. As vegan families, we love the food, the people and of course Kacy at Hiller most of all. I am proud and happy to have such a great and beautiful restaurant in our city and I will continue to eat at Hiller's for the next forty years.

Very cozy and chic atmosphere. The buffet was extensive, from a variety of salads to varied main courses and delicious desserts. . Non-alcoholic drinks include intense lemonades and spritzers from Limoment and Lütauer. . We will come again. :) . . . P.S.: a signposting of the dishes at the buffet would be the icing on the cake. ;)

For the first time we enjoyed a vegan buffet. Many delicious variations of warm dishes as well as delicious salads and sweet desserts. In addition, the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Can only be recommended!

It was a vegetarian attempt - too dry for me personally, but still delicious. Very cheap lunch buffet, definitely try it and then form your own opinion. Have fun and please keep an open mind.

We came for lunch and when we asked we weren't sure what was on offer, so we left. The variety of vegetables is very extensive because I can cook them myself at home using old recipes from Grandma. As a vegan, I also expect interesting alternative parts in a restaurant that taste like fish or meat like before but are made from vegetables. In particular, there are interesting ingredients here without tofu or soy, because they simply taste worse than peas or champions... and also more sustainable because they are produced here...

The "Hiller" is beautifully decorated and exudes a relaxed, serene atmosphere. The vegetarian buffet is varied and very tasty. Today, however, it took about 20 minutes at 1 p.m. until the fried potatoes and mushroom ragout were added. The landlord is also relaxed, very friendly and knows many of the guests personally. Relaxed and well-fed, I started the 15-minute walk to the main train station at 2 p.m.

Wir sind 3 Personen zum Mittagessen im Hiller heute 19.07.24 ,zum 3 mal in diesem Jahr es war sehr schön, die Gäste waren entspannt, die Musik war leise im Hintergrund , das Essen sehr lecker, die Temperatur heiß , von Salat bis Nachtisch alles dabei , der Kuchen Nachtisch war aus ich habe es der Bedienung mitgeteilt es dauerte nicht mal 5 Minuten und schon war der leckere Apfelkuchen da, wir werden öfters hinfahren, der Besitzer ist Super nett , wir freuen uns ein pläuschchen mit ihm zu halten, kann es gerne weiterempfehlen, Nächte Woche fahre mit 2 Freundinnen dahin ich freue mich sehr .Magdalena Müller

Hugely popular -- reservations are definitely recommended. The number of people made the atmosphere rather overwhelming for me. The buffet dishes are typical buffet food -- hearty, if not very sophisticated. The set menu seems to be much higher quality.

I went to Hiller for the lunch buffet with my son. Even though I'm not vegan, everything tasted great and I didn't miss meat. Service super friendly and very warm. I will go to Hiller more often now. 🥰🥰🥰

Ate the menu for the third time today, and I'm still really impressed.

Since there are a few small celebrations coming up this year, I'm a vegetarian and don't want meat to be eaten at my celebration but also don't necessarily want to ask guests to limit themselves to the meat-free dishes on the menu, I thought of a vegetarian/ vegan restaurant is the solution. After a test visit to check out the restaurant, I wanted to reserve a table for 10 people. At that date (Saturday lunchtime) there is only a buffet, but that doesn't matter because I wanted to take that anyway. The buffet is ok. Some components didn't look so visually appealing, but the taste was fine. Now comes the difficulty: a larger, connected board is apparently only possible on the benches on the wall. But this is unfortunate because everyone approaches the buffet differently and those sitting at the edge always have to get up when someone in the middle wants to go to the buffet. This is even more impractical, especially for older guests. Alternative 1 would be to leave the tables partially spaced apart, which isn't particularly nice for a birthday table. You want to sit together, talk and celebrate. Alternative 2 would be to put the round tables together in the middle of the room, but that is also more of a temporary solution and less suitable for sitting together. Unfortunately, there was no flexibility to swap the square tables from the edge to the center of the room and form a table. If the restaurant is packed, I understand. But we were there at the same time for the rehearsal date (also Saturday lunchtime) and we had the restaurant to ourselves, so there doesn't seem to be a big crowd at the time. It's a shame that the restaurant is no longer able to accommodate us and we now have to look for another location for the celebrations.

The Hillers is simply unbeatable... a top address for connoisseurs of vegan cuisine! The unusual, changing course menus are particularly fantastic. We are happy to accept a journey of 60 minutes or longer! Always worth it... 😋

Ein so leckeres Büffet, es wird immer wieder neu gezaubert, HERZlichen Dank. Auch mein Fleisch liebender Gast war sehr zufrieden. Ich komme gern zum Mittag- oder Abendbüffet oder auch einfach mal zwischendurch. Als Geschäftsessen, mit Freund*innen oder auch allein, es ist immer ein Geschmackserlebnis❣️

They offer an afternoon and evening buffet - I had the afternoon buffet (12-3pm)! In the afternoon it’s 15€, after 5pm (dinner time) it increases to 22.50€, and always is all you can eat. There are 9 main course components, 6 salads, 1 soup and 3 desserts. Everything was delicious. They also offer a la carte dining! Plus there’s a cute dog that belongs to the owner

Actually a very good restaurant and a delicious buffet. Unfortunately it didn't work at all last time. When we arrived it was very empty and we had to get up 3 times and come back with empty plates because there was still nothing there. Everything was only refilled 30 minutes before the buffet was over. Even after asking several times, there was no reasonable answer. We hadn't experienced it like that before

We were there for a buffet meal. As a "part-time" vegetarian, the salad buffet alone pleasantly surprised me - unusual, extremely seasoned salata. The buffet was rich and filled with a wide variety of dishes. My only criticism: the dishes were very simple in terms of craftsmanship. Everything was super tasty, but nothing blew me away. So next time we'll come back à la carte (definitely)!

That evening there was a choice between a multi-course menu and a buffet. The menu at the neighboring table was very lengthy and the vegetarian buffet (unfortunately mostly simply prepared/cooked vegetables with various cans) was only refilled hesitantly. When many tables are occupied, the room is quite loud and the people going to the buffet make it very busy and uncomfortable. I think Hiller's focus on vegan/vegetarian food is a good idea, but the atmosphere and service can clearly be expanded. Unfortunately, price/performance wasn't quite right either.

We found out about this restaurant from a television report. Among other things, a vegan buffet is offered. We were there during the week. I would have liked more selection for a buffet. There was a lentil soup, ratatoulle, red cabbage, gnochi, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, soy schnitzel and two desserts. Although the restaurant was not busy, ordering drinks took a long time and refilling at the buffet took far too long. It's a shame everything was very tasty, but as I said, I would have liked more choice at the buffet. I'm not a pure vegan, but I enjoy eating the food and actually wanted to expand my knowledge of the food through the buffet. Since the food available was delicious, I will visit the restaurant again on another day. Maybe then the buffet would be more varied. Despite all this, we can recommend the restaurant if you want to eat vegan or vegetarian!

Nicht mehr vergleichbar mit der Zeit vor 2019. Die Auswahl beim Buffet ist nicht so groß und die meisten Speisen werden nicht nachgelegt. Wir kamen um 19 Uhr dorthin und ab 20 Uhr wurde kaum noch aufgefüllt ( nur die Beilagen wurden nachgelegt). Die Menge an Kuchen für den Nachtisch war auch knapp. Die Bedienung muss sich dafür einfachen Ausreden ausdenken. Die Bedienung ist leider nicht aufmerksam. Für 22,5 eur/p.P. war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis schlecht.

Super delicious food with friendly staff. Except that the sweet potato dish was not refilled promptly at the afternoon buffet. As a fan of it, I thought that was a shame. By the time it came I was already paying. But otherwise everything is very good quality! The young staff could be a little more courteous, but are not unfriendly. I'd love to go there again!

The food was delicious. It's a bit of a shame that you have to pay the full €22.50 for the evening buffet when there is no more dessert.

Unfortunately we were disappointed by the buffet for the second time this evening. Contrary to what the service said, most of the hot food was not freshly prepared. The fried potatoes (just warm potato pieces with fat) were lukewarm (like everything else), some were very dark and dried out, the (presumably) Seitan parts were very heartily seasoned, which was too salty when I picked them up because they weren't covered were and had lost water. The vegan currywurst was noticeably dried out and bland. The red cabbage was well seasoned, as were the mushroom sauce and the lentil vegetables. But these are also dishes that can be kept warm for longer without losing much of their taste. The sweet potatoes in mango sauce were boring. The raw food (salad) was okay, but was also significantly better. The "fresh" dessert consisted of two large bowls; in a cheesecake cream (or something similar), strange consistency - gritty, flavor cannot be determined, and the shell only contained a relatively small residue, which cannot be explained at 6 p.m. (the restaurant opens again at 5 p.m. after a lunch break ) and didn't really look appetizing. The contents of the second bowl of mango cream were only half full and had clearly dried out from the top edge to the mixture! Both tasted very artificial. When I criticized the service, according to which everything was fresh, I was told that it wasn't that busy today. For me there is no excuse for poor quality. The service today was unusually fast.

We were at the restaurant around 2 p.m. Only a buffet was offered, which was okay in quality, but nothing more. The main course (soy schnitzel with fried potatoes) was not refilled, fried potatoes were just cold leftovers during our 45-minute stay. Overall, the service seemed slightly disinterested. A pity......

The lunch buffet is a dream! The waiter collected the money without being asked. Reason: shift change. Someone probably didn't want to give the transfer fee the tip...

It was our first time at Restaurant Hiller and we chose the winter 5-course menu. The food was really good, the vegan goose was amazing. So so delicious. I've rarely eaten better. Next time we'll be happy to come back for the buffet, it looked incredibly tasty.

So, the food on the buffet was partly empty or almost empty. One can say that one has had enough. The waitress was busy chatting, yes, very important in English, was definitely a British C-celebrity, so we only had one drink. But I had somehow already thought that when I came to the restaurant. It was at least worth a try.

We were here again after a few years and immediately knew why we hadn't been there for so long. It's just not pretty. The chairs are old and unstable, the food is overcooked and poorly seasoned. The bottle of Staatl.Fachinger was replaced with Harzburger water without any notice and there was no dessert even after waiting 15 minutes. It's also way too loud and definitely too crowded. Less is more after all. Sorry. It's not worth coming here from outside. Then we'd rather cook ourselves. It's nice that the boss hasn't lost his warmth yet - he runs the place as personable as ever and even greets the guests personally.

In terms of atmosphere, the shop is something between India, an eco-village and a good farmhouse. Somehow charmingly old-fashioned and strangely incongruous but still warm. My expectations of getting mediocre, rustic German cuisine were more than fulfilled! That's exactly what I was hoping for! The tastes of childhood but in vegetarian and vegan. This is rare and difficult to obtain in this form. I'd love to go there again!

Very tasty food, pleasant atmosphere, pug included 😉. We tried the Reibach voucher from 2024 and then discovered a very tasty new gin. Will definitely come back… oh yes, the menu and buffet looked delicious too.

The taste of the food was ok to good. Unfortunately, the service and the waiting time left something to be desired. Despite reserving a table, there was a 3/4 hour wait before the drinks were even taken and until the food was completely served, a total of over 3 hours passed. So if you have the right budget and enough time, you can definitely get a delicious meal here, but you should plan for the time required.

We had the lunch buffet. I was very disappointed. Everything was just lukewarm, bland and hardly seasoned. There was also no labeling, which is very strange with one-pot dishes. If you cook vegetarian/vegan yourself, you shouldn't expect anything. The service is actually non-existent. I also find it unprofessional when the service eats at a table. I had to go to the counter for my cappuccino and it was still forgotten. The restaurant has a lot of potential, which in my opinion is completely wasted. The food and the limited staff seem like the restaurant is in financial difficulties. On the other hand, the lunch buffet isn't really good advertising either. I will try the a la cart meal again as I would like to support a vegan restaurant. But I hope the reviews are taken seriously (since everyone complains about the same thing). I'm coming back just because of the nice owner and the cute dog.

We had a wonderful evening in the Hiller restaurant. Not only did we receive extremely friendly and attentive service, but we were also treated to culinary delights. We had the Winter Magic menu and each of the five courses was great. The plates were beautifully presented, creatively put together and simply delicious.

Ein sehr leckeres Restaurant mit einem tollen Konzept. Ich habe das weihnachtliche Gericht, vegane Ente mit Rotkohl und Klößen, gegessen. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war super. Das Personal war ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Das Essen und Ambiente war alles sehr schön und lecker. Was mir aber persönlich nicht gefallen hat ist, ein Hund gehört nicht ins Restaurant. Das muss nicht unbedingt jeder tolerieren, ist jedem selbst überlassen wie man zu Hause mit Tieren umgeht aber ein Hund gehört nicht ins Restaurant.

Wir lieben dieses Restaurant und kommen sehr gerne her. Zu Corona Zeiten haben wir uns öfter beliefern lassen. Alles vegan. Schöne Auswahl und jedesmal wirklich sehr lecker. Egal ob Buffet oder Karte. Freitags gibt es ein tolles Gängemenü. Sehr familiäre Atmosphäre, jeder wird persönlich begrüßt und es ist immer Zeit für einen Plausch. This was my third time at this restaurant. This is probably the best vegetarian restaurant I have been to so far.

Super lecker und nett. Schade, dass wir so weit weg wohnen.

Das Hillers hinterlässt einen zwiespältigen Eindruck. Das Ambiente im Lokal ist gediegen. Im Hintergrund läuft leise Musik und es ist angenehm ruhig. So kann es gerne überall sein. Die Speisen sind allerdings auf eine Sache fokussiert: das Buffet. Die Speisenkarte ist, gelinde gesagt, sehr übersichtlich. Als wenn alles auf das Buffet ausgerichtet ist. Der kleine Rebell in mir hat das Pfeffersteak von der Karte genommen. Frikadelle hätte die Konsistenz desselben besser beschrieben. Dafür waren Gratin und Beilage sehr gut. Der Service, eine Person für das ganze Restaurant, war langsam und obwohl die Getränkebestellung vor dem Essen aufgenommen wurde ist die Vorspeise vor den Getränken am Tisch gewesen. Da nützt dann auch das ganze Ambiente und das Alleinstellungsmerkmal Vegan nichts.

Ein super veganes Restaurant mit mit sehr leckerem Essen und freundlichem Service. Selbst nicht-Vegetarier/Veganer finden hier was leckeres. Meine Familie und ich gehen hier regelmäßig zum Essen hin. Kleiner Tipp zum Schluss: Gerade wenn es etwas voller ist, empfehle ich das Buffett zu nehmen, wenn man schnell essen möchte. Sonst bringt etwas Zeit und Geduld mit und genießt die Atmosphäre und die Gesellschaft eurer Begleitung. Die Köche in der Küche können auch nicht mehr als arbeiten ;-)

Wir haben als Zwischenstopp das Restaurant über Google Maps ausgesucht, weil die Gesamtbewertung sehr hoch ist. Das Restaurant selbst ist ein großer, sehr nett dekorierter Raum. An dem Tag gab es Buffett, pro Person 15,-€.Das war uns recht, so kann man mehreres in kleinen Portionen probieren. Der Service schien ein wenig verwundert, weil wir am Eingang warteten um einen Tisch zugewiesen zu bekommen. Das klappte aber dann, die sehr freundliche Bedienung ließ uns den Tisch selbst aussuchen. Das Buffett sah sehr sauber, schon glänzend aus. Wir freuten uns schon, es zu kosten. Zuerst probierte in die Linsen-Kürbisuppe. Sie war mild gewürzt und sehr fein passiert. Nach den 'göttlichen' Linsensuppen im Urlaub in einem persischen Imbiss und einem israelischen Restaurant, war mir diese fast schon zu sehr Schonkost. Trotzdem war sie gut. Mich reizte das Chile con Verde, das war aber leider eine Enttäuschung. Es schmeckte wie aus Dosen zusammen geworfene Hülsenfrüchte, ohne einen Hauch von Schärfe. Also eher langweilig. Die Bohnen und Maiskörner waren noch sehr bissfest, Soße nur marginal vorhanden. Immerhin konnte ich ein wenig Geschmack mit einer Chile-Mühle hinzufügen. Dazu hatte ich Reis. Zusätzlich habe ich mir noch ein wenig Blattspinat auf den Teller getan. Dieser war auch mild gekocht, Knoblauch oder eine raffinierte Würzung konnte ich leider nicht herausschmecken. Danach habe ich noch Rote Beete in Sahnesoße mit Nudeln und ein wenig 'Sojageschnetzeltes' probiert. Bei der Roten Beete fehlte mir der erdige Geschmack, die Nudeln waren (leicht angebratene) Spaghetti, das 'Geschnetzelte' waren ausschließlich angebratene Sojaschnetzel (schreibt man das so? ), welche durch die Präsentation auf dem Buffett schon lauwarm, leicht trocken und fester mit dem typischen Soja Geschmack aus der Packung waren. Die Kinder hatten Kürbis-Mango-Tomate in Kokos-Mango Soße mit Reis. Sie waren sehr zufrieden. Der Nachtisch hat uns allen geschmeckt. Als Getränke hatten wir stilles Wasser ( die kleine Flasche war Gott sei Dank Gerolsteiner still und nicht wie in der Karte geschrieben das Heilwasser Staatlich Fachingen), einen Latte macchiato mit Soja Milch in einem größeren Teeglas, sowie einen Getreide Kaffee. Der Latte macchiato war lecker, der Getreide Kaffee hätte für den Preis statt einer kleinen Tasse das größere Teeglas gutgetan. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist einladend, der Service war sehr gut beschäftigt, aber immer freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Buffett sieht wunderschön aus, nur die Speisen waren nicht mein Geschmack. Das Restaurant war für Samstag Mittag sehr gut besucht, andere Gäste scheinen also meinen Geschmack nicht zu teilen.

Wir hatten Bufett. Waren um 13Uhr da und es waren einige Behälter leer. Bis nachgelegt wurde hat es sehr lange gedauert und es wurde nicht das nachgelegt was vorher da war. Sonden irgendwas. Wir mussten auch mehrmals nachfragen ob und wann nachgelegt wird. Die Speisen waren größtenteils nicht richtig heiß. Teller wurden zwischen durch nicht abgeräumt. Der Service war Wort karg, sehr langsam,eigentlichnicht vorhanden. Saß selber am Tisch und hat gegessen.Kartenzahlung war nicht möglich der Akku war alle. Zum bezahlen mussten wir an die Theke gehen, da niemand kam. Das Gemüse war sehr weich

Ein besonderer Ort! Sehr persönlicher und hilfsbereiter Service, gemütliche Einrichtung und viele verschiedene Gerichte auf dem preiswerten, leckeren Buffet - alles vegan. Eine wohltuende Abwechslung zu den üblichen Lokalen heutzutage, mitten in der Stadt. Wie bei Freunden zu Besuch!

Immer wieder toll. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und höflich und das Essen immer ganz toll.

Wir haben uns in einer Gruppe von 6 Personen im Hiller zum Abendessen verabredet. Augenscheinlich müssen hier Kosten reduziert werden. Es gab nur eine Dame im Service, die sehr stark gefordert war und sich nicht um alle Gäste kümmern konnte. Weiter waren am Buffet einige Platten kalt und kalte Bratkartoffeln z.Bsp. sind nicht der Hit. Kaltes Wasser auf der Toilette ist ja jetzt schon oft, aber dann auch noch ein kalter Handfön trocknet die Hände nicht wirklich. Das Essen war, bis auf einige Details wieder gut und auch lecker. Es hat auch nicht Veganern geschmeckt.

Als wir um kurz nach 15 Uhr ankamen, trafen wir niemanden an, das Restaurant war leer, einige Tisch noch nicht abgeräumt. Aus der Küche vernahmen wir Bewegungen, nach einigen Rufen ließ sich jemand blicken, der den Kellner informieren wollte. Derweilen konnten wir uns am veganen Buffet bedienen, das ab 12 Uhr dort angeboten wird. Nach 10 Minuten war auch der Kellner da, welcher freundlich und gemütlich war. Die Gerichte, die abends angeboten werden (a la carte) sehen auf der Webseite vielfältiger, kreativer und ansprechender aus. In den Genuss kamen wir nicht. Das Buffet war durchschnittlich und simpel, u.a. Möhren, Erbsen, Reis, Linsensuppe, Sojaschnitzel, Rohkost und einiges war dann schon angesichts unserer späten Anreise aus. Als Desserts nahmen wir das Pflaumenmus und einen Joghurtersatz, cremig und schmeckte sehr sahnig. Das Buffet hat uns nicht überzeugt, auch wenn es geschmacklich okay war. Die Speisen auf der Karte würden wir beim nächsten Mal probieren.

Ich war hier mit meiner Freundin. Das Ambiente ist recht einladend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Essen war gut, allerdings haben wir schon andere vegetarische oder vegane Restaurants getestet und die waren geschmacklich deutlich besser. Insgesamt hat es uns dennoch gut gefallen, daher gibt es 4 Sterne😊

Nettes Restaurant mit einem sehr leckeren, veganen Mittagsbuffet. Waren in Hannover paar Tage im Urlaub und während dieser Zeit täglich hier!

Spontanes Essen mit neun Personen war ohne Reservierung möglich und mehrere Tische wurden schnell zusammengeschoben. Das Buffet war klein aber fein und sehr schmackhaft, der Service sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und höflich. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen.

Das Hiller stand schon länger auf unserer Liste der Restaurants, die wir gern ausprobieren wollten. Zu unserem Jahrestag, an einem Samstag, zum Mittagessen hat es dann geklappt. Es gab nur Buffet, was für uns aber kein Problem darstelle, da wir sowieso für das Buffet da waren. Wir wurden vom Essen nicht enttäuscht, im Gegenteil wir wurden positiv überrascht. Nie war das Gefühl von "da fehlt aber Sahne/ Käse/ Fleisch" o. ä. da. Insbesondere das Dessert (Mangoschaum) hat uns sehr überrascht und begeistert. Schön war auch, dass das übersichtliche Buffet während unserer Anwesenheit variiert wurde. Statt Roter Beete war dann z.B. irgendwann Blumenkohl da oder es kamen zusätzlich Bratkartoffeln und Bratlinge dazu. Auch die Getränkeauswahl fand ich toll. Die Limonaden habe ich bisher noch nirgendwo anders getrunken (und sie waren hervorragend!) und mein Mann war von der ungewöhnlichen Bierauswahl angetan. Gesamtfazit: Wir waren das erste Mal da, aber sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal!

Ich bin mit meinen Kommilitonen in diese Gaststätte gekommen, weil zwei Personen aus der Gruppe Vegetarier sind. Wir wurden von einem sehr freundlichen jungen Kellner in Empfang genommen, welcher uns den gesamten Abend gut versorgt hat. Es gab 11 Hauptgerichte von denen vor allem das Curry sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, da es eine sehr schöne Abwechslung war.

Gutes Essen, netter Service in sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre. Die Ente ist sehr zu empfehlen! Für den ganz großen Hunger bietet das Buffet eine feine Auswahl. Wovor kommen wieder

lieber Hiller, wann bietest du denn endlich dein Gemüse aus biologischer Landwirtschaft an, das wäre ein Riesenschritt in Richtung Nachhaltigkeit und der Förderung einer gesunden Bewirtschaftung der Böden, viele Grüße

Es ist zwar kein Tier gestorben für diese miese Mahlzeit, jedoch mein Respekt für die vegane Küche. Das Essen wat total versalzen und daher fast ungeniesbar. Die Menge an Salz hätte für eine ganze Woche gereicht. Ich hatte danach Bauchschmerzen und musste nacht mehrfach aufstehen um was zu trinken.
