I was really keen to try Vapiano, but we were a bit confused when we were handed cards right away, as we weren't familiar with that system. The young man was friendly enough. But I have to be honest, the overall atmosphere among the staff was a bit odd. There wasn't a single friendly smile. I think the people there are simply too inexperienced or just too young. The food was okay. However, the pasta wasn't seasoned at all, so I had to add some. Otherwise, the music was a tad too loud, and picking up the food was a bit confusing because several orders were going out at once, and we didn't initially know who had what, so I grabbed the wrong plate. With more staff and table service, they could really make something great out of the place, but as it is, I have to say it's just not enough to make me want to come back. And above all, the staff urgently needs further training in customer service. And one last thing about the vending machines. The young man immediately said we should order directly at the counter instead of using the machines. The machines don't make a good impression. They're clearly cutting corners on staff instead of making the place attractive again with table service and a smile on people's faces. It's a real shame!

The pizza was okay. The cleanliness left much to be desired. The table and floor were sticky, and there was chewing gum stuck underneath the table. There's a shelf in the middle of the table for oil, salt, etc., which was also dirty. All in all, it wasn't worth the visit. I will never set foot in that place again...

Today was by no means our first visit to VAPIANO in various cities. We have also been to this VAPIANO several times. Until now we would have given the service and staff 4 stars. Anyone who knows my reviews will know that I almost always speak very positively about personnel. But today there was an employee who completely inappropriately spoke to us. The other two gentlemen were friendly and helpful, that of course also has to be mentioned. But based on the way that one of the gentlemen behaved, we don't know if we will ever visit this VAPIANO again. That's not how you treat customers! We left the store without eating. The 5 stars for the food therefore refer to our experiences so far.

The food used to be really delicious. Unfortunately, that's changed. Instead of sauce in his pasta, it's now just swimming in oil, beautifully dressed. Unfortunately, the restaurant hasn't been able to maintain its pre-coronavirus quality levels; in fact, it's steadily declined. I have to confirm the shortcomings described by previous reviewers regarding friendliness and cleanliness. Upon arrival today, the chip card counter was unmanned for several minutes. Two identical salads were ordered, but upon explicit request, they were seasoned differently. At the food counter, my question about which salad was seasoned with chili and garlic was answered by telling me to help myself from the condiment rack. The ordering process should probably be adjusted. We were exposed to unpleasantly loud music in the outdoor seating area by the parking lot. I gave up on my attempt to ask for the volume to be turned down after waiting for some time without anyone at the chip card counter.

The cashier on September 17, 2025, at around 12:30 PM was truly unfriendly. I've never seen such an unfriendly cashier. You'd think she was about to kill me or something.

I've always been satisfied with my visits here, but unfortunately not this time. We had ordered a soup in advance and wanted to have the rest of the dishes together afterwards. Unfortunately, everything was served at the same time. When I asked about it, the waiter gave me the curt reply, "That's not possible." An explanation or a hint beforehand would have helped me; then I would have ordered differently. Instead, there was no further response, which I found very rude. It's a shame – it spoiled the visit this time.

Unfortunately, I can only agree with the others! What a shame, it was much, much better! The food might look good at first glance, but it definitely wasn't. The portions were far too small and carelessly prepared! As if a toddler had prepared it. And we also found it "dirty"! Both the cutlery and the tables! Everything is done via a kind of check card, which is used to book the meal. Pick up is self-service. Unfortunately, the tomatoes in the bruschetta were very watery and tasteless. Luckily, there's oil/vinegar and salt/pepper on the table.

Ordered for pickup, but the order didn't arrive in the "kitchen," so it had to be prepared first. Small portion (the plates in the pictures are small cake plates), lukewarm pesto, gnocci, and fusilini (10-minute drive). Alio olio without garlic, the laugh of the day. No flavor, just oily. Pasta was found among the gnocci, no pine nuts to be found. Hunger drove it in. Next time, I'll go for frozen from the supermarket; it's no worse.

The food was a disappointment; the pizza and pasta tasted very bland. We got pinsa instead of pizza twice. Communication was a bit difficult. The atmosphere is very loud, and the price-performance ratio is rather mediocre. We won't be back.

The Vapiano in Oldenburg lacks independently thinking staff. I have never had any problems ordering at a Vapiano before and I have always ordered the same thing for years!! Today, July 12th, at around 1.30pm we were there too. The first person to take the order is new and instead of asking someone else how to book it, he simply wanted me to order a standard dish from the menu. I then suggested that he ask someone who could help him book it. You only learn by asking questions and not by avoiding challenges. The next person who came in was completely fed up with his job and didn't want to do what I wanted to order. We're talking pasta in a cream sauce with tuna. He wasn't able to book it and didn't want to. He wanted me to name a dish from the menu and order tuna separately. True to the motto, he apparently doesn't get paid for thinking. A little tip: you could have simply booked cream of mushrooms, for example, and removed the mushrooms, onions, white wine, and parsley. Then you could have simply added the tuna, and that's it. There was nothing going on in the shop, and we didn't hold anyone up. But he simply didn't want to work independently and solution-oriented, preferring to argue with me until I felt really stupid, and we left the shop without ordering anything. I've never experienced such incompetence, and today the spot for not wanting to do his job goes to him.

Relatively disappointing. We hadn't been to Vapiano in a long time, but today we went with friends. The ordering system at the vending machine isn't well-developed; somehow, not everything that was actually available was available. (They didn't have all the regular pizzas you could actually get.) We then selected pinsas, but we couldn't "deselect" the onions, and the employees couldn't help us either. We ended up ordering two pizzas without onions at the order counter. When both were ready, one had onions and the other had salami instead of salmon. The employee then offered to make both new pizzas, which was supposed to take 4-5 minutes. Since we didn't have a mobile phone, we checked the cooking time after about 10 minutes. The situation was a bit odd because the pizza maker tried to remove the onions from one of the pizzas. He was warned when we arrived and then apparently made a new pizza after all. I actually wanted to forgo the pizzas, but the cashier said we'd get both new ones right away, as there had been a problem with the oven. In the end, we got what we ordered; our friends had already finished eating by that point. All in all, I wouldn't go back to Vapiano anytime soon. We were really hungry, were looking forward to the food, and ultimately, we were really annoyed.

Such a shame. This was one of the worst Vapiano restaurants I've ever been to. The staff were all really nice. But that's where it ends, unfortunately. I had pasta with Bolognese. It wasn't very exciting and actually quite simple. But often it's the simple things that are the most difficult. The "Bolo" was really bad. Super oily, carrots still firm to the bite and almost raw pieces of onion, and plenty of them. And then at a price of almost €14 per portion. That doesn't work! Next door is an Italian restaurant where I can get a portion of pasta Bolognese for €13, which is much better quality and comes with table service. I like Vapiano. I find the concept very pleasant, and I've always liked the food. But unfortunately, it's getting worse and worse. Especially for me, who travels a lot for work, Vapiano has always been a good place to eat, but I don't want to sit alone in a restaurant. It always worked out quite well there. At least in Oldenburg I will now have to look for an alternative.

I Order Spaghetti Aglio E Olio but unfortunatly the Food came and had no Tast, no salt, no Garlic, in the Spaghetti.I have spiece up my food before I could eat . The baguette was dry out. My Partner Ordered Ceasar Sald and he also was so Happy what he have gotten. The Stuffs where Stress out and maybe that is why they weren't so Freindly. I personally will not recommend this place .

The food was delicious, and the staff was even friendly when we walked in 35 minutes before closing time. It's worth mentioning that they also serve gluten-free pinsa!

As soon as you open the door, it smells musty. It smells of old oil. The tables were sticky. I was disgusted, which you shouldn't be. The food is massively overpriced. The concept is self-service, but the prices are like a traditional restaurant. The price-performance ratio is completely out of whack here.

The system should be reconsidered, especially when you sit outside, it is very annoying that you have to pay every time.

Food very expensive, staff superfluous as they do nothing

It used to be good. Now the service is absolutely terrible for the price. The pasta was mixed up. The chefs don't really understand you and are a bit grumpy. He gave us three thin slices of free bread for two people. The food wasn't really warm either. The tables weren't clean. The glasses weren't clean either. Charging prices like you would in a real restaurant when you have to get everything yourself is a disgrace. It's a shame; it used to be really good, but now it's just plain old lackluster.

We were completely satisfied. Everything was as it should be. A very friendly team. I don't understand the bad reviews. We also lost a water bottle, and the return and storage process were handled in an exemplary manner. The only thing that could be improved is the ordering station. It displays items that you can select, but then you can't add them to your shopping cart because they're not available, because they're only available during the week, etc.

We found our visit to be very good! The food was outstanding, and the service was fast and friendly. I did find the music playlist a bit strange, but that didn't spoil our impression. Highly recommended.

Overall, it's a very nice place to hang out in a convenient location. However, I no longer feel the value is appropriate. The food was okay, but definitely not high-quality or exceptionally well-cooked, seasoned, etc. We had pasta and pizza, which tasted rather bland. I also ordered something with extra arugula, and my pasta ended up with a whopping six leaves on top of it, which I paid extra for. For that price, we definitely won't be going back.

The concept is barely explained. It's very complicated to make changes when selecting dishes. In general, there was no service at all.

The Vapiano in Oldenburg was new for us. The classic Vapiano concept has been slightly modified; orders can be placed both at the counter and at a terminal and the food is then picked up at the pick-up point. Only there can you express requests such as extra cheese or bread. The food is very tasty, we have rarely experienced a Vapiano where everything really tastes good and even the pasta is cooked through. Unfortunately there is one big drawback... the mood in the team doesn't seem to be the best. The employees are very stressed, some of them are not friendly with each other and discuss this in front of the customers. Nevertheless, there was also an employee who listened to our wishes and was friendly. The second drawback is accessibility. Unfortunately, the Vapiano does not have an elevator, so the entrance can only be reached via stairs. The toilet facilities were broken during our visit and we had to use the changing room, which is also the barrier-free toilet. Unfortunately, sometimes even the employees didn't know this. And - as is so often the case - some guests are little piglets. This looks the same on a single toilet that everyone uses. If we come back, it will probably only be because of the food. Not because of the ambience or rather less because of the service.

The food was good, but you can tell that savings were made on staff costs here too. Glasses were quite stained. Value for money is just about right, in my opinion it shouldn't be much more expensive. The service staff was nice but a bit rude, but that may have been due to their young age.

We've been going to Vapiano off and on for years. But I have to admit it could be a bit cleaner and more people wouldn't hurt either. The food was delicious. The service overall was nice and friendly. Only the young man who prepared us coffee drinks was so slow that we almost fell asleep. We still love the store and will come back.

Today we were at the Vapiano in Oldenburg. We have rarely experienced such an unfriendly welcome. When the drinks were served there was a gentleman who gave us the impression that we were a nuisance. Arrived at the place, dust on the lamps, dirt and leftover food in the stone bowls. Oil bottles completely oiled, impossible to touch without a cloth. If we hadn't already ordered the food, we would have left. All in all, not a great visit. The hygiene was really unpleasant. We would like to give a positive message to the young man at the checkout, who said goodbye in a friendly and warm manner.

After a long time we went to eat at Vapiano again. At the reception - which was very friendly - the good gentleman pointed out several times that EVERY ingredient was made/produced in-house. Came across as strange... didn't fit the situation. Have there ever been any reviews along these lines? I remembered the food MUCH better, the spaghetti aglio e olio with smoked salmon was the worst I've ever eaten: pasta stuck together, had hardly any garlic or peppers and the salmon was so burnt that it almost resembled a briquette. Overall, the noodles tasted like Chinaman's. My wife's pasta had so much pepper in it that it masked the actual taste. The tables were dusty (especially the lamps!) and the stone containers in the middle of the table were dirty and crumbled. It was the last time we were there, what a shame.

We ordered food for takeaway. A little difficult way to order. The pizza was a bit tasteless. We had to return the salad as it was brown and boring. They try again with the same result. In the end it was exchanged for a pizza. The best was the coke.

I initially found the concept at Vapiano in Oldenburg really promising - the idea of ​​selecting and designing everything yourself “on a card” was something new. I also found it positive that you could choose bread for free. The bathrooms were clean and the overall process was well organized. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. My girlfriend and I both had the Pesto Basilico, she with fusilli, I with penne, also with mozzarella. Unfortunately it didn't taste good - for her the dish was very bitter, for me it was totally overloaded with oil (see photo). It really almost only tasted like oil. That was a shame, because the idea and the surroundings are actually good, but you just have to expect more when it comes to food.

I used to go to Vapiano more often, but the concept has now lost a lot of quality for me. Wait times are long even though the store wasn't full. The food arrived lukewarm, and there was really nothing special in terms of taste - the pasta seemed like it came out of a package, the sauce was rather bland. The staff tried hard, but were sometimes overwhelmed and not very attentive. The atmosphere was restless, more like a train station than a cozy restaurant. I definitely expected more for the prices. Vapiano used to be an insider tip - now it's more of a mass transaction without any charm. Won't be coming back anytime soon.

2.5/5 stars Went there 2 for 1 because of the barometer offer. Reception was unwarm, dry and uninviting. I would love to turn around again. Farewell and payment due to other service being nice and friendly. The food was okay, tasted good, was fresh and included bread. We didn't like the atmosphere at all anymore. Floor, showcases, seating very very dirty. The table wasn't even wiped after clearing away. Prices are quite high, but the performance is good. Without offers like barometers etc. we would rather choose other locations.

The noodles were totally sticky and the taste was practically non-existent.

The food consists of 50% frozen onions and cheap fat - the pasta is soggy because it's old, the "fresh spices" on the tables are dead and or overgrown. The waitress does what she can to somehow get something good out of this chain that is doomed to soon die with overpriced prices. But of course they're not professional either, at most temporary level.

2 out of 4 pasta dishes were not edible. We all had different noodles. The spaghetti was overcooked. A sauce was burnt. Bread was hard and old. The two pesto dishes were delicious, hence 2 stars. Toilets were very dirty. Staff very distant. You can only load €70 per card that you get at the beginning to pay for later. A family with 2 children are forced to use 2 cards and cannot load everything on one

I was there with my friend because I had only heard good things. But this was completely different when we were there. Cutlery and glasses and toilets were absolutely not clean. Way too overpriced and not even table service, which is absolutely not my thing

The ordering machine is great. You know it from the chain with the big M. So you definitely get what you ordered. :) Unfortunately, the delivery of the food was very careless. Set up and finished. Not a word and not a look. Too bad. The food itself was very tasty, but nothing special that you have to come back for. Maybe we'll try the pizza again. She looked pretty good at the next table. The farewell and payment was great. Here we asked again whether everything was ok and in a very friendly manner, as one would wish. Thank you very much for that and maybe see you soon for a pizza.

Was there during the lunch break, the food is quite tasty but very unseasoned, no problem you can add seasoning yourself. Staff want to get everything done quickly, so questions are only answered in an annoyed manner. Places were not cleared/dirty. €14.95 for a plate of pasta with two dry pieces of bread and then treated unkindly, I think I'll save that in the future...

Hmm. Were there during lunch. The receptionist apparently didn't feel like it. Overall, the service was rather casual. The food was average. The noodles were rubbery. Kind of a weird consistency. The carbonara had nothing to do with carbonara. But you can't expect that in this price range. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is good.

I've always heard good things about Vapiano, but that was the last time for me. Service was very unfriendly, the pasta was undercooked and the scampi. Afterwards I had a fever, vomited 8 times during the night and there doesn't seem to be a clean kitchen. My companion also had a mutilated stomach afterwards. It's a shame it used to be better. Fast food food at restaurant prices.

Pizza was very good and tasty, lasagna was very burnt and didn't taste good either. But I got a coffee as compensation.

Vapiano was fundamentally very good, but Oldenburg unfortunately dropped deeply in our reputation. Mushy pasta, salads were once better and .... we don't like Pinsa .... - there is an Italian buffet in Cologne, unbeatable better. We used to go to Vapiano every week, but now we haven't for weeks. We order 5 pastas they’re all different. We were 5 guys. The pastas were not cooked properly the gravy in the pastas were too less last time we had pastas from bremen Vapiano.The vapiano in bremen was good. But Oldenburg branch broke our hearts. We complain it with the manager but the manager was not accepting the mistake. He was saying that this is the standard. I would recommend not to try Vapiano Oldenburg. The atmosphere was nice and the sitting area was also clean.

Dishes have become far too expensive. One star deduction for price performance. I had a pasta dish with shrimp spinach and cherry tomatoes that only had 4 shrimp in it. These weren't original cherry tomatoes either... more like small date tomatoes sliced... The dish for €16 and my husband also had a pasta dish with prawns and beef fillet tips for €18. That is very expensive. Two people just under €50 for pasta with a drink. There is a further deduction for the atmosphere. It was really cold without a jacket. So we just ate quickly and left. Maybe you can adjust your prices again or change the dish so that the price-performance matches the quality.

Prices are slowly becoming too expensive for the product

Delicious food and sufficient portions. Are here regularly. Point deduction for the not so ideal ordering system. If I order a coffee and then have to go to the bar to pick it up, the customer has to wait at the bar until the drink is made. If there are more people in front of you, you wait forever and stand around in the area. The pre-selection at the ordering machine is also not ideal. It doesn't matter whether you choose a little or a lot of chili, for example. In the end you always get the same amount. We've noticed it several times. Either you stick to what is ordered at the machine or you leave it alone. Otherwise nice atmosphere and highly recommended for a quick pasta or pizza.

Just don't eat there on Thursdays. It's loud... and "Love Island" Trash TV is on.

I have to praise the Vapiano Oldenburg again today. Me and my wife went for pizza today. My wife had a Pizza Tonno and I had a Pizza Bruschetta. A dream, the dough is nice and thin and crispy. The ingredients were super fresh, you could tell that in the taste. For us, the best pizza in Oldenburg. Thanks to the pizza maker! Keep it up!

Pizza hasn't been around for a long time, these pinsas are just dry and tasteless, hard like stale bread. It's also expensive and there's a different way to clean it. Table wasn't wiped, there were crumbs under the table and the toilets - oh well!

I didn't want to push myself, I just wanted to explain or ask which of the 4 meals out of the house were meat-free. They were unfriendly and the food was all packed in one bag! Now I had to open the food one by one and see who owned which one. The food belongs to different households. 😡
