I'm not entirely convinced by the necessity of ordering, as in a popular chain, using a monitor with displayed dishes - a plus for the English language, a minus - lack of help and answers to questions that appeared in my head... but despite having to use a machine, good organization - you download the pager and you wait... a few minutes, not half an hour or an hour... I was very positively surprised by the dishes themselves - well-prepared pasta and hot! Here you don't reheat something old, it's always fresh and made for the guest who ordered something specific. The choice of pasta type is surprising - you can go crazy! Possibility to choose additions, enlarge portions, etc. Next time I visit the center, I will definitely visit it, being sure that I will receive a fresh and tasty dish. Tables - because this should also be mentioned - there are high tables and high chairs, but you can also sit at a low table. The room is divided into two parts, one is quite noisy - loud music, the other is calmer and quieter. I recommend this restaurant based on repeated visits.

We have always had a delicious meal here in the past, but the new ordering system is very annoying with a large group! We also found the food mediocre. I always enjoyed going to Vapiano, but unfortunately this was the last time.

This vapiano sells pinsa instead of pizza. The vapiano pizza of the past is of course much tastier than a pinsa and also much richer with a better texture. No improvement for me. The pasta was a little too hard. Payment via mobile phone is confusing, the cashier thinks you want to leave without paying. I give you three stars plus one to encourage you to get rid of that pinsa.

Quiet and clean place, well organized and with an open kitchen. Friendly staff. We ate a pasta dish with good tomato; shame about the quality of the pasta, in Italy we would have sent it back. Curious feature: ordered a glass of Pinot wine by the glass and they added soda water 🤔

Everything works smoothly and well, but the restaurant flair is missing

I liked it a lot. Orders are placed via a machine or an app. You pay with a card. Bar probably won't work. Then you take a pager and wait. Pick up food and drinks. Here we go. The food was very tasty. There was a kind of lunch menu and the price was absolutely right. Definitely a place I would visit again.

We ordered spaghetti and the pinsa. The spaghetti was soggy and the sauce had absolutely no taste. The pinsa was bland and unfortunately didn't taste particularly good either. Unfortunately not recommended. What a shame!

Overcooked pasta, carbonara with onion cream... Good bread, quite passable burrata, decent salami, pinsa with mozzarella which isn't mozzarella, well cooked rubbery dough.

Normal food, self-service, the only important thing is that they have gluten free food.

Just as Vapiano should be - of course there is self-service, but the employees are extremely nice and accommodating. The food was ready quickly (we waited about 10 minutes for 3 dishes) and each tasted very good. The sharpness categories should be taken seriously! 😉

There is a "new ordering system". Computer based. The same software as McDonalds. This has the big advantage that the whole meal is ready at the same time and you can't queue in different queues in a group. I don’t miss waiting in line either. Unfortunately there are two problems for me: Firstly, the terminals mean you lose that “individual” feeling that you had when you spoke directly to the chef. It feels more like "McDonalds". But the prices are too high for me. For 16 euros I can easily get a Bolognese in a normal restaurant and we will be served there. Secondly, the team is not prepared for eating to be finished at the same time. My Linda was ready very quickly and then waited under the warming lamp for a little over 20 minutes for the other dishes. The toppings were correspondingly soggy and dried out. Again - this doesn't happen in a half decent restaurant. Dear Vapiano team, why should we still come to you? The Italian restaurant around the corner has the dishes you have. But it's probably cheaper and gets the food hot on the table. Service and flexibility are on top of that. Included. You are too expensive and not fast enough for a fast food restaurant. You are too expensive for a restaurant and have no service. Addendum: Vapiano reacts to my post with a standard comment that doesn't address my post at all but explains that the new system works great because everyone at the table has their food at the same time... Which was exactly one of my main criticisms - that's exactly NOT what it was It works if you can watch your pizza get cold for 20 minutes... Everyone gets their food at the same time, but for some it's no longer that fresh and has just been sitting around for a while. In this respect, one star is deducted for Vapiano's answer.

We were there recently and I hadn't visited Vapiano for a long time. We found the new concept of ordering at the table via smartphone very pleasant, as it brings much more peace and quiet into the store than the old concept with cards. You order after you have found a table and wait relaxed until the food can be picked up. The food was great and ready very quickly, I will eat here more often in the future. Update July 2024: Our first impression was confirmed that the food was again very tasty and freshly prepared. I personally liked the reef and beef salad and the bruschetta with feta cream.

Dark shop, but still quite loud. “Meh” describes the food best. Service is virtually non-existent and to take the leftovers with you you have to pay extra...weak

Staff was extremely rude. Ordered a salad and they forgot the tomatoes and did not put the dressing on the side even though we asked for it several times. The Margarita Pizza was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The dough was still frozen and tasted like an extremely cheap frozen pizza. Highly recommend to not go there!

Food was great and fast, however the staff upon entrance were rather rude and the opposite of helpful.

After a long time I was back at the vapiano today we ordered pasta and pizza. The pasta was ok but we didn't like the pizza at all. When ordering from the machine there is no choice for pasta mushrooms and for pizza artichokes. You have to get everything yourself: food, drinks and even if you get garlic oil or chilli powder then while you're eating, they call from the kitchen to bring the things back straight away which I got from the counter. Self service, expensive and unpleasant for so much money you can get better food and service somewhere else.

Reservations etc. Everything worked out. Staff nice & hardworking. I don't like the concept anymore. You need your cell phone to order. Which in my opinion is very uncommunicative. Especially if the ordering session crashes. But now you don't know whether the order will work. Food is ok.

Pasta with prawns, too delicious!!!

Fantastic food. You have to wither order at kiosk or directly at your table using a phone, but it's pretty straightforward and you can customize your meal as much as you want. Their Iced teas are absolutely delicious. You gotta wait around 15-20 minutes for your food, but it's all worth the wait.

Went back today after a long time. There is a new system for orders here. On the one hand practical, on the other hand unfortunately there is no longer any contact with the cook. The food today wasn't particularly tasty, very few ingredients in the dish, almost only pasta and souse, and very few pine nuts, basil and cheese. I probably won't go there again.

Walked in and got pointed to one of these electronic ordering machines like they have in fast food places.. I wanted a vegan pizza without the cheese because vegan cheese is usually awful, so I picked a pizza with set toppings and tried to remove the cheese, wasn't possible, went back to build your own pizza, worked out i could build the same pizza without the cheese for about 5 euros MORE... So removing toppings costs more okay... got annoyed so went back and bought the set pizza with the cheese and sure enough it tasted awful, like seriously, taste the food u sell, awful. On top of that I noticed I had somehow tipped 1 euro on my bill (apparently you have to opt out and I didn't notice) but seriously who was I even tipping?! I had zero interaction with the staff. How about the staff member who made me a burnt pizza with disgusting cheese on it? Argh. Drinks are overpriced also so didn't even have anything to wash it down

Unfortunately the food was no longer hot. Although we were promised a delivery service, we had to pick up the noodles at the bar. Nobody told us that they had already been ready for 10 minutes. There was almost nothing going on. We were seen from the noodle bar. A pity. The clearing service was impeccable.

So today I ate there for the first time with my friends. We were treated kindly, but the waitress was inattentive and gave my colleague a dirty glass! That's the point where we should have walked out instead he exchanged the glass because we were hungry. One thing I also don't like is that we are served our drinks but are supposed to pick up our food? We all ordered a pizza. Apart from that the pizza wasn't that tasty and for the price it's not worth it!

Quality of Vapiano is quickly dropping down. Unfortunately pesto basilico is not freshly maded as it use to be. They use pesto which taste like the one which you can buy in a glass jar in supermarket. Why they are cooking fresh tomatoes in pesto basilico?!? Terrible. Prices increased and I really dont understand why the quality is dropping down … The staff even didnt know that we didnt pay yet and they say that we already paid … i am really affraid to visit Vapiano restaurants again ….

Pasta Bolognese tasted like a penny finished pasta not recommended but pasta Alfredo was quite ok but I wouldn't recommend it again

Wir waren dreimal zum Abendessen dort und wurden nie enttäuscht. Uns hatte es der Salat mit Rucola-Senfsauce angetan. Dazu ein Gläschen Lugana. Lecker.

Decent food that was fast to get. Great self service stations. Too loud music makes it barely a 2 points score. I'm pretty sure I went to a restaurant and not a discotheque.

It's a shame, expectations weren't met at all. A few years ago we were in Berlin at the Vapiano and had good memories of it and spontaneously decided to visit here in HH. The noodles (linguine) were - I don't even know how to put it - totally sticky, that's not an exaggeration, totally stuck together in the mouth. The taste is okay, but that feeling in your mouth... The pinsa was very dry, all 4 of us left the edge, it wasn't nice and crispy, it was just dry and hard, with toppings it worked like that. We probably don't need to talk about the drink prices... (4.50 for a bottle of Fanta 0.33). There is also no indication that you have to pick up the drinks twice around the corner at the far end and then meet a lady who is not exactly friendly. One glass wasn't clean! Normally I would have at least complained about the noodles, but since we were pressed for time, I decided not to. My mistake!

Nothing worked there, we ordered twice and after waiting 30 minutes we left.

Vapiano Hamburg 3, Kurze Mühren 20. ———— PAYMENT SCAM ———— BE AWARE when paying with credit card !!! Employee added a tip of eur 2 to the payment - without asking nor informing !!! Only when I checked receipt, I Saw this. Feedback was, that payment display informed before I paid. COME ON … What is this ?! Anywhere Else, you place mobile/ credit card and you pay. Employees do not decide tips themselfs with a scam approach. And without permission. Employee continued to argue this nonsens. When I asked for the Manager, the Manager ensured refund. NEVER AGAIN !!!!

We ordered takeaway food. Pasta and salad. We were there exactly at the pick-up time and were able to take it with us straight away. We ate less than 5 minutes after being picked up and the pasta was still warm. The deposit system in which the courts are located is positive. Unfortunately, the food itself is incredibly bad. Pasta Pomodori had maybe 1.5 cherry tomatoes in it if you count up. The pasta itself was so well done that you didn't need your teeth...just about porridge. Parmesan that was specially ordered was forgotten. The salad was okay so far, but for the price you should consider getting one from Edeka around the corner. Overall, the price-performance ratio is not right at all. A pity. We definitely won't get or eat anything here again.

Very long waiting time for Vapiano. When I asked to cancel the order because otherwise the child would fall asleep, I was told that this was not possible. I wouldn't come back.

Italian brother style ranch food, lots of pasta but nothing like a good Italian

The pasta is very tasty, as is the wine. Dessert was great too. The weather was great and the restaurant was incredibly hot. However, no one wanted to turn on the air conditioning or open a sliding door. We have brought it up several times. But no one was interested in it. So definitely avoid it on warm days.

Everything is offered here for the money: - Mediocre food - High prices - Complicated ordering processes - Payment at the table only with credit card - Unfortunately, in the end, chefs don't fight, they just shout at each other Next time please let the chefs fight for the volume and darkness. Would take you out of the valley of mediocrity and really spice up your meal

It was my first time ever in a Vapiano and I was pleasantly surprised by the food, taste and the funny, friendly Spanish employee at the reception. He explained everything to us well 👍🏻 and the ordering was uncomplicated. The food was ready after 35 minutes. What a generous portion and super tasty. We were also recommended the pizzas. We will definitely come back soon. 🙃

The “service” is just catastrophic

Unfortunately you weren't greeted particularly friendly today but with a "that'll take an hour" We thought the waiting time would be okay, and fortunately, like others, we got our food much earlier. Unfortunately, something didn't work so well with our order, so we asked the lady at the front for help: unfortunately her tone wasn't right at all, maybe the lady was a little stressed, next time we hope for friendlier service.

Quite okay. I don't really understand the hype about Vapiano. The food tastes very neutral and not special. Some employees look at you as if you were their biggest nemesis. Unfortunately our glasses were a bit dirty.

I was there today and I'm actually a regular customer. A friend made a typo at the machine where you have to type in yourself. The wrong dish was served, so I asked Mr. Maxin or whatever his name was to change it because I couldn't eat it, but he insisted that he couldn't do anything, what a cheek, of course he could do something!!!! I wanted to talk to the boss but he was of the opinion that he was the boss, which I don't believe. I've never experienced such an unfriendly approach to customers. The star only goes to the people who prepare the food. I'm there often and I always take my friends with me. I'll think twice about going to the store next time it somewhere else. 👎🏽

Like any other Vapiano, I like it very much. Ordering is done digitally at the beginning, very easy. And food is ready very quickly. Yummy :)

After reopening, I had to get used to the new ordering and payment system. It is web-based and works well after a short period of getting used to it - as long as the network is available. Everything can be selected online, such as: B. the noodle of the pasta. Unfortunately, the dish was not adapted to the pasta: the penne (al dente) immediately absorbed whatever sauce there was. The meal was a very dry affair. The Pinot Grigio was served too warm, which was not solved satisfactorily by the service, who pointed out that it had been refrigerated. At least they offered ice cubes. The wooden floor is partially badly damaged and the top layer has holes in many places. If you want to pay online, it would be helpful to be informed about the payment options earlier. We then paid at the exit by pointing out the table number. Overall, not a good comparison to the old Vapiano days.

The food itself is super delicious. Really very great. You can watch how the food is prepared and therefore know what goes into the food. The cleanliness of the oil and salt containers (the marble look thing) could be cleaned more. There was also food from one person on a free table. For the price I would have liked service (but it's not a must) I actually love it there and can really recommend the food 100%. Really great!

It was always expensive and the portions were small, but I still enjoyed eating there. Now the recipes have been changed, probably to save costs, unfortunately the food is no longer edible.

Delicious food with reasonable portions. I find ordering online on my cell phone very convenient, but I think it's a shame that you can hardly find a contact person if you have any questions. You have to pick up the food yourself as soon as you get a text message and then have to wait until the chef gives you permission to take it. If there are several people there, you have to wait for your food even though it is already there, which is a bit annoying. Apart from that, it is really amazing and delicious.

The worst Vapiano in Germany The store used to be great and charming, but the situation now looks a little different: Confusing self-order terminal like at McDonalds or Burger King, but a price increase of over 20% after installing the new system. Food quality for some reason absolutely bottom drawer; The noodles are now swimming in thin sauces and the pinsa is more like a Dr. Oetker homework. It's a shame that they wanted to save money at all costs and had to turn something beautiful into a place without soul and unfortunately also good food.

As a lover of Italian cuisine, I recently decided to visit Vapiano and was not disappointed with the food. The selection of fresh ingredients and the ability to put together your own dish were definitely a highlight. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the food was served quickly. However, I encountered a disappointing practice that marred my visit. Ordering from the machine may be efficient, but the automatic inclusion of tips came as an unpleasant surprise to me. It felt like a hidden fee that I hadn't consciously entered into. The system didn't clearly show me that tip was already included in my bill and it made me feel uncomfortable. The fact that the device even indicated that tipping was given without my conscious decision to do so added to the feeling of insincerity. For someone like me who likes to tip, this hidden fee was disappointing and felt like a dishonest tactic. I prefer to leave my tip consciously based on the service and quality of the food rather than having it added automatically without my knowledge. It would be desirable if Vapiano were more transparent about this practice to avoid misunderstandings and improve the experience for all guests.

Here they have already switched to an ordering system like Mc D. or B.King, which I think is a shame. I know from MS at Vapiano that you give the order to the chef and it is prepared in front of the customer. This means you have more influence on the spiciness/cheese etc. You don't have to do everything new... In particular, older people who are overwhelmed by the system are not considered here.

Super tasty pasta, but the price and the stinginess that prevails here is extreme. I've been here several times before, but this time it was extreme. Can you see a difference between left-wing and right-wing eating? No. Nevertheless, the pasta on the left is €3.90! cost more than the other. There were also mini mozzarella balls in here. But to charge €3.90 for what feels like two of them is really a disgrace! Also there were only 3 measly, thin slices of bread. There used to be at least 4. Even though the restaurant was empty, we had to wait a long time. My friend also got the wrong type of pasta. I would actually give it 4 stars because I really enjoyed the food and the location was nice, but unfortunately I have to deduct one star for that.

Great food, sweet and smiling staff

After all that fried fish this is a much needed change! Just learnt that vapiano was originally started in Hamburg! But be aware the other branch is currently closed for refurbishment.

We were in a Vapiano for the first time in a long time. First of all: I am convinced of the new concept :) The food was good (small deduction because the pasta wasn't quite al dente and the glasses were still hot). We found it a bit loud and busy that evening, so we made a small deduction there.

Very bad development of my former favorite restaurant when I was in the city!!! Ordering process is now like in a fast food restaurant. I had small flies in my salad, which luckily I only ate two leaves and had to!!! explain to me with three people that this could not be…. I got up at the end and paid for the salad. It's really a disgrace. Never again...!!!

The new concept with your own orders at the digital terminal is much more efficient than the old one, where you had to order on site at your station. I rarely waited longer than 10 minutes. However, I find the drink prices too high for the low service. I would also like to note that the storage containers for oil, salt and pepper were not clean. Quality of food good. Overall recommended.

The head chef is extremely unfriendly.. food doesn't taste good.. reordered.. then he actually puts his finger in the food, takes something out, slaps the food in sauce and gives it back? The Iranian waiter bought us coffee, a man of honor who then took care of us.. the one star is just for him.. but unfortunately sorry but never vapiano again

Totally faded away. The self-service thing was stupid before and now you have to order from a machine. They don't even tell you where you can get your drink, because you have to pick it up at the bar in the last corner. The food barely tasted like anything and there was even a hair in it. That was my last time at Vapiano

I'm really sad, I really loved Vapiano, but the consistency of the pasta was so disgusting that I couldn't eat it and the pesto was way too much, the food was prepared without feeling and was also very expensive. There was leftover food on the cutlery and I first had to look for a clean spoon and fork. The two stars are for the employee who was super nice and exchanged my food because it was prepared incorrectly. Unfortunately I probably won't come back😢
