A beautiful, rustic and authentic wine tavern in the Rheingau region, serving typical small dishes that are all delicious. The 2021 or 2022 vintage wine comes from the small vineyard right next door. The atmosphere at the large tables is very pleasant and entertaining.

Great ostrich restaurant, really good home-made food (tastes great) and the family is friendly and authentic. Absolute recommendation if anyone is looking for an idyllic Straußwirtschaft with good food and tasty wine.

Der Wein hat lecker geschmeckt. Und die kleinen Gerichte die dazu angeboten wurden waren schmackhaft.

Anyone looking for an authentic hedgerow restaurant away from the tourist crowds and mass production will find it here. Simple but very good food and a wine free of additives. Definitely worth a visit.

Mediocre at best. The seating is very nice, but the wine is terrible, and there's basically only bread to eat. The staff tries hard, but the service is simply not good.

A rustic and authentic Rheingau wine tavern. It's open until the wine runs out. The wine selection is limited – there's only one type :) The service is very attentive and the food is delicious. We'll be back!

Für einen Pausensnack während einer Radtour suchten wir etwas uriges und fanden auf Tripadvisor Uwe's Heckewirtschaft. Das Ambiente ist im positiven Sinne rustikal und man setzt sich auch in Corona-Zeiten nicht alleine an einen Tisch. So kommt man schnell ins Gespräch und genießt das Vesper und den Wein. Für Freunde von Hecke-, Besen- oder Straußenwirtschaften eine Empfehlung.

Rustic traditional ostrich restaurant, just like it used to be in Winkel. Covered places in the yard. Delicious food (including eggs with bacon, panna cotta) and just one wine, as was often the case in the past. You should visit this cult ostrich restaurant. Open during the Hessian summer holidays.

Eine typische Straussi - so etwas gibt es nicht mehr oft!!!

Eine echte Straußwirtschaft, urig mit Atmosphäre. Einfache, aber sehr gut gemachte Gerichte.

Urig, einzigartig. Nur 6 Wochen im Jahr geöffnet. Wir erwarten jeden Sommer sehnsüchtig.

Will man urigen Rheingau erleben, ist Uwe's Heckewertschaft ein angesagter Treffpunkt. Der Wein ist jedes Jahr anders und enhält keine Zusätze, was ich persönlich besonders bevorzuge. Als aufgeschlossener Mensch findet man bei Uwe immer nette Gesprächspartner. Ansonsten schließe ich mich weekender28 in vollem Umfang an.

Uwe´s Heckewertschaft ist ein echtes Winkler Original. Hat ja nur ein paar Wochen während der Sommerferien auf. Bei Uwe´s "Heurigem" sitzt man im geschützten Innenhof und bei schlechtem Wetter im Wintergarten.

Uwe Bönnhoff betreibt eine typische Heckenwirtschaft. Der gemütliche Innenhof mit dem direkten Zugang zum Weinberg ist nur während der Sommerferien geöffnet. Täglich ab 16.00h- sonntags ab 15.00h. Es gibt hier nur eine einzige Weinsorte im Ausschank- die hat er selbst produziert. Der Innenhof und die Laube ist sehr interessant mit Trödel aus der Region und vielen Schildern aus aller Welt dekoriert: KFZ-Kennzeichen sowie interessante Ortsschilder geben der Weinlaube, die sogar über einen Teppichboden verfügt, einen musealen Charakter. Das Speisenangebot ist typische für eine lokale Heckenwirtschaft: Käse, Wurst und Salate kommen frisch zubereitet aus der Küche. Die Qualität der angebotenen Gerichte und Häppchen ist gut. Die Preise sind günstig. Es lohnt sich unbedingt, dieses Lokal, was ständig gut besucht ist, zu besuchen. In einem Museum müßten Sie dafür Eintritt bezahlen....
