Delicious food in a quaint restaurant

Our second visit, this time in November. The seasonal menu was good and our choice was just right. We'll gladly come again.

We went to the East German rock party. The food was great, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was very friendly. We'd love to come back 😊👍👍👍

We always enjoy returning to this inn. Besides the pleasant peace and quiet, we always find a parking space, a few free seats with cushions, hearty, traditional food from the kitchen, and a consistently warm and friendly landlady. All in all, a wonderful stay. We'll be back. Many thanks to the entire team!

Last week we visited this inn for the first time. It was very busy, which was a first good sign. The menu whetted our appetite, which was a second good sign. The food, from soup to appetizer to main course, was excellent. Finally, the value for money was so convincing that we will return on our next visit to the Leipzig area. Quaint restaurant with delicious food

Good, traditional German food with a touch of East German flair. We were served very nicely by two ladies who served us excellent, hearty German cuisine. The restaurant's decor is very simple, in some parts reminiscent of the East German era. Somehow, though, it suits the robust dishes. Everything was clean, the food was good, and the prices were reasonable. We'll definitely go back. There's a small parking lot right next to the restaurant. Your aalenaa Yoga Team from Leipzig

Very cozy and very nice service with very good and plentiful food

Food very tasty. Cappuccino is a no-go, instant with spray cream

*Eat* I had the fish platter. The fish was well prepared. Spinach and croquettes were also tasty. But the sauce was too salty for my taste. Unfortunately, the cappuccino we ordered was only instant cappu with spray cream. *Service* Everything great. *ambience* Good average. A bit dark inside as there are only a few windows.

We stayed at the Gasthof Holzhausen for a 60th birthday. The food was very tasty, good German cuisine. The staff was very friendly. Two outdoor areas invite you to feast. I'd love to come back

We actually wanted to go to a different restaurant than the usual suspects and happened upon the "Gasthof Holzhausen". In this case, luck was on our side! We had the schnitzel with chanterelles and croquettes and were very happy with everything . The dessert was also very tasty. We will definitely be back, especially because the service was very friendly.

Good home cooking and reasonable portions, so far it has always been tasty. Staff friendly and accommodating. The guest room also has a cozy atmosphere.

Since we are there with the company almost every year, it seems like everyday life. Unfortunately, bowling was already fully booked, but it was still a comfortable group. Food and other service were fine.

Wir hatten unser Klassentreffen Samstags dort, vielen Dank für die Versorgung die wunderbar geklappt hat. Leider sind nicht viele gekommen was dem Gasthof kein Umsatz gebracht hat aber das tat an der Bedienung und dem Essen keinen Abbruch. Dankeschön dafür, es war sehr schön, bleiben Sie gesund 🍀

Waren jetzt schon öfters hier essen und die Portionen. Werden immer kleiner, aber schmecken tut es gut

Wir haben heute meinen Geburtstag mit über 20 Personen gefeiert. Ich möchte mich noch einmal recht herzlich bei dem Chef und bei dem Service- personal bedanken. Es war eine sehr schöne Feier und alles hat gestimmt, Essen sehr schmackhaft und mehr als ausreichend, Personal liebevoll und zuvorkommend. Auf Wünsche wurde auch kurzfristig eingegangen. Vielen herzlichen Dank.

Abseits gelegen und rustikal im Stil eines Bauernmuseums gestaltet ist der Gasthof für alle die zu empfehlen, die es gern gemütlich haben. Das Essen ist preiswert, reichlich und schmeckt !

Für mich ein absoluter Geheimtip, wenn man Lust auf deutsche Küche hat. Man kann Extrawünsche äußern und alles wird erfüllt ... wir hatten in letzter Zeit z.B. Tafelspitz mit Meerrettichsoße und Klößen, gefüllte Hänchenroulade mit einer besonderen Soße , Rindsroulade ganz klassisch, gemischte Fleischpfanne .... Alles ist geschmacklich top aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Portionsgrößen passen und der Preis ist absolut fair...... Da gibt es in der nähe Restaurants die könnten sich ne Scheibe abschneiden ! ..... Ich hoffe den Gasthof gibt es noch ewig !

Super leckeres Essen und immer freundliches Personal,wir sind öfter dort und die Preise sind absolut ok...egal ob drin oder draußen es ist einfach gemütlich!

Tolle Bowlingbahn mit sehr gutem Essen und netter Bedienung. Ein schöner überdachter Freisitz gehört auch dazu. Sehr sauber alles. Ich mag diesen Gasthof und werde noch öfter dort einkehren....

Ich glaube zu diesem Gasthof gibt es nichts negatives zu sagen.... Ich war erst neulich wieder da und wurde wie immer nicht enttäuscht. Weiter so.... Bitte...

Sind regelmäßig dort zum Bowling. Gute bodenständige Küche.

Alles in allem sind wir zufrieden gewesen,das Personal aber leider durch die Menge an Gästen leicht überfordert gewesen. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Man merkt, dass die Gaststätte beliebt ist, weil sie recht schnell voll war und man ohne Reservierung keinen Platz bekommen hätte.

Auf der Bowlingbahn hatten wir viel Spaß. Da wir unser Essen schon vorab auf der Bowlingbahn bestellt haben, ging es ganz schnell. Das Essen war sehr lecker und es gab auch für die Vegetarier unter uns verschiedene Gerichte. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und man mußte nicht lange auf Getränke warten. Es war ein schöner Tag und wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder.
