Urban Masala in Bielefeld

We came all the way from Ennepetal to visit the Urban Masala in Bielefeld and it was worth it! The food was excellent and the portions were just right. We would recommend this restaurant at any time. Kind regards from Ennepetal

The food is really delicious and staff is friendly. But it usually takes some time for the food to arrive, drinks got forgotten a bit chaotic.

The food was pretty tasty. There were four of us and everyone was very satisfied. I had a meat dish called chicken biryani or something like that. I found the amount of meat in it rather poor and too low for the price, but the taste was convincing. Service was okay. The ambience could still be worked on. Addition: points deducted because the entrance door has been broken for weeks and slams loudly. But that doesn't seem to bother anyone because it isn't being repaired - totally annoying!! This will stop me from visiting again!

Great restaurant with delicious food in a very nice environment. My first impression at the door was a bit skeptical, but was refuted as soon as I entered. By the way, there is no pork whatsoever, which can be interesting for some people. Unfortunately, gluten-free food is not possible there. The only tiny little thing that doesn't necessarily have to be viewed negatively: we didn't feel stuffed after eating. Some people might say that they didn't get enough. Still 5 stars!

Went spontaneously for lunch at Urban Masala today while passing through. First-class, fresh food in a great ambience with super nice service. Berlin can pack in. You can eat Indian food in Bielefeld!! We would like to make a detour again in the future. Yummy Yummy Yummy.

The food was good, but unfortunately I didn't like the ambience or the service. The mango lassi was very good! The tomato flavor of the butter chicken curry was too sour for me. It tasted strongly of tomato paste.

Kottu roti was unfortunately very very disappointing. without egg and vegetables. Chicken tikka was overcooked. Unfortunately, neither was edible. Price performance is simply not right.

Great Indian, there has never been such a stylish, contemporary place in Bielefeld. Good atmosphere, well attended, menu well made, several combinations possible, nice flavors, attractively served, very good drinks. On Saturday we spontaneously visited the restaurant. It was not possible to eat in the restaurant without a reservation, but we took our order with us. The food was very tasty, good quality and freshly prepared. Despite the initial inconvenience, the taste was a highlight.

Quite a decent place for Bielefeld. The waitress patiently explained the dishes and talked us through the menu on demand. Food was yummy and quite authentic. Madras could’ve been spicier IMO. Can recommend this place!

Ich war sehr positiv überrascht über die freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen, das nette Ambiente und allem voran das gute Essen. Manches nicht ganz so, wie man es von Indern kennt, aber deswegen kein bisschen schlechter.

Ich hatte ein Madras Curry mit Reis und Paneer. Sehr lecker gewürzt. Gute Schärfe. Das Naan Brot dazu war köstlich. Trotzdem 1 Stern Abzug für die etwas ungemütliche Atmosphäre

Das Essen war SEHR lecker. Mein Freund und ich sind spontan zu Urban Masala gegangen und waren sehr froh darüber, dass wir noch einen Tisch bekommen haben. Die Sitze sind sehr bequem und bei dem kalten Wetter ist es trotzdem warm im Lokal. Unsere Portionen haben uns beide gesättigt, der Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Können es nur weiterempfehlen 👍☺️

Das Ambiente war einladend und die Musik angenehm. Suuuper liebes Personal und leckere, besondere Gerichte, welche schon scharf sein können, wenn man bei der Bestellung nicht aufpasst. 😄

Schöne Atmosphäre, lieber, zuvorkommender und schneller Service. Restaurant wirkt von außen unscheinbar ist aber wirklich ein Abend wert. Super frisches und leckeres Essen. Preislich total fair 😊

Trotz Reservierung mussten wir erstmal an der Bar warten, dann wurden wir mitten in den Raum gesetzt wo wir uns unwohl gefühlt haben und so wenig Platz war, dass die Kellner einen beim Vorbeigehen gerempelt haben. Trotz leerer Tische am Rand durften wir nicht Wechseln, da es auch andere Reservierungen gab und die waren anscheinend wichtiger als wir... Das Essen war top und die Mitarbeiter abgesehen von oben genannten Punkten sehr freundlich. Nochmal hingehen werden wir nicht

Ein gutes, indisches Restaurant. Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist gut, lecker und preisleistungsmäßig passt es auch. Laut Personal ist es empfehlenswert vorher zu reservieren, da es sonst schwierig werden könnte.

Essen war lecker und Portion ausreichend. Leider hat es mit dem Service immer etwas gedauert, aber es war auch einiges los. Hätten uns gewünscht wenn ab und an mal nachgefragt worden wäre, ob alles in Ordnung ist. So beschränkte sich der Service auf Essensbestellung und Bezahlung. An sich aber einen schönen Abend gehabt.

Super Essen, super Service. Das Essen ist eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion gewesen, wie man sich indisches Essen vorstellt. Allerdings sehr viele scharfe Gerichte, teilweise nicht scharf ausgewiesen aber trotzdem leicht scharf. Service hat auch sehr gut bei der Gerichtsauswahl geholfen. Klare Empfehlung, wir werden hier wieder hingehen!

Absolute Frechheit. Wir haben das Essen selbst abgeholt, hier bezahlt man trotzdem reguläre Restaurantpreise, erhält jedoch Miniatur Ausgaben des Essens. Portion für 14.90 war höchstens Vorspeisen Größe. Nie wieder!!!!

Gutes Indisches Essen in relaxter Atmospäre. Zentral gelegen in Bielefeld unweit der Fußgängerzone . Gute, günstige Mittagsangebote.

Eine gute Adresse um indisches Essen zu genießen. Die Einrichtung ist erfreulich individuell und die Bedienung sehr freundlich und professionell. Vorbestellen ist notwendig, das Restaurant scheint immer ausgebucht zu sein. Die Portionen sind sehr großzügig, das Fleisch sehr zart und die Krabben auf den Punkt gebraten. Der Reis ist vorzüglich zubereitet, das Naan Brot ebenfalls. Alles in allem stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Einzig die Salatbeilage ist kümmerlich, zuweilen auch nicht angemacht und eine kleine Portion Yoghurt müsste eigentlich, zumindest bei den wirklich scharfen Vindaloo Gerichten, dabei sein.

Auf der Suche nach einem authentischen Inder in Bielefeld sind wir im Urban Masala gelanden. Leckeres Essen, aufmerksamer Service und schönes Ambiente. Wir können das Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen und werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
