Great service and a very nice atmosphere there

Top place in the city, every time I travel to Achen I have to take a moment to visit this amazing team and their beautiful corner 👏🏼

Very good service. Great elk steak! Spanish starter plate was good. Very good wine. Online reservation did not work and was not taken into account. Price-performance appropriate.

Mix of different Fonds, no clear Concept. Extensive , small portions. Burger meet was almost raw, not asked if you want raw, medium or well done.... when given back to kitchen because to raw, same burger with a bite off was returned (seemed have been in the microwave)

It's certainly worth visiting this location in daylight: great views over Aachen. It's worth a visit for that alone. The downer: you can also pay well for it (Lillet White Berry or Aperol Spritz with a lot (!) of ice €9, as well as the 0.15 l wine). Drinks but otherwise ok. Unfortunately you just have to wait longer for your drink. We had the pleasure of having a DJ play. I liked the music (Afro-House). However, it wasn't for everyone, especially as it became increasingly loud, so that conversation became tiring. One almost had the impression that people over the age of 50 or 60 were no longer welcome. But the service staff was consistently friendly.

Review applies only to breakfast. There were many different dishes, from savory to sweet, with great taste. The view over Aachen was brilliant.

Basically very, very good. The food is great, the people are incredibly friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, an eye for detail is missing here and there. For example, the parasols are not in their stands or 7 rolls are brought for 4 people. It's really just little things. Generally a clear recommendation. The view over Aachen is heavenly.

We were there to celebrate our civil wedding for two in the evening and it was simply wonderful. The staff tried very hard, even decorated our table a little because they were informed of our reservation, and looked after us very well the whole evening. At the end we were even treated to a drink on the terrace. Simply very, very tasty food that was definitely worth the price. Thank you for this wonderful evening!

Everything great! :) We had to wait a little longer for the main course, but I personally won't deduct a star because we were able to enjoy a perfect view and the food was cooked to perfection! The service was nice, friendly and attentive, the toilets were clean and the tables were decorated for special occasions (birthdays).

The visit was definitely a success. The food and drinks were great. The price is just a little more expensive than the Aachen average. Unfortunately the service is not enough for 5 stars. The team didn't really seem well-coordinated and, in my opinion, waited a relatively long time for the order. The store wasn't overly crowded.

Preise sind grundsätzlich in Ordnung. Einzig für das Mineralwasser fanden wir EUR 9 / Flasche unpassend.

We were there for breakfast. Unfortunately, there were problems redeeming the voucher for breakfast. You were then allowed to pay a whopping €52 (normally €60) for this little bit of breakfast. Croissants are only available in mini format, the selection of sausages and cheeses was also limited and, overall, simply incredibly overpriced for that little bit. It's also a disgrace that you have to pay parking fees for such expensive money!!! Soon the price will go up to €40, meaning you'll pay a whopping €80 for breakfast for two people. There are definitely better restaurants where you have a lot more choice etc. for less money. You also pay for things that you didn't take just because they are included in the price. Unfortunately, we are forced to go again because of the voucher so that it doesn't expire.... Which I definitely wouldn't do again otherwise. When I was told to contact the manager, which was done, there has been no response to date (2 weeks later), which says it all. So something like that is really disgraceful. The only nice thing is the ambience, but unfortunately that's not everything.

Average food with top service ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The service is really excellent and the staff is super nice! What struck me was that the staff really knew something about the menu and tested it themselves! Unfortunately, the steak was not asked for medium, done, etc.… I have to say the food was really just average, for the price you could really expect more. As mentioned above, my wife had a steak, it was just cooked through and tough! Speaks for the kitchen when there isn't even a query here... The chicken was okay, but as I said, I've eaten better for the same money! Conclusion: Nice atmosphere, nice staff, don't expect too much from the food! You can eat something here, but there are better restaurants for the price range! But as I said, you can eat here!

We read good reviews so decided to make a reservation at Uptown. What a mistake. - staff is incompetent, service is in disarray, pure chaos. In the meantime, they are happily chatting among themselves as if there is no work to be done. - the food was substandard: little taste, almost uncooked and cold burger, chicken forgotten with the pasta, .... - Needless to say, price-quality is hard to find here

Nice roof top restaurant with a good view over Aachen.

I can only recommend a visit to UpTown. Both food and drinks were delicious. The service was extremely courteous, pleasantly unobtrusive and friendly. The price-performance ratio was reasonable. The menu is not overloaded, but there is something for every taste. The drinks menu is also varied and the drinks we ordered were extremely satisfactory in terms of quantity and taste. The staff was extremely attentive. The ambience was very good: although it was busy, it was neither loud nor uncomfortable. You always had the impression of having privacy. At the same time, the view over Aachen is unique. The audience was diverse: business travelers, couples and private groups. We were welcome with a dog and had a bowl of water at our seat when we arrived (I specified the dog when making the reservation in case that affected the choice of seat). We would like to come again.

It was a wonderful evening. Above all, the service was very good thanks to Ms. Ami, very attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty. We will come back again!

The three of us spontaneously came over today and got a nice corner table. From the service to the food there was nothing to complain about. We felt very comfortable and would come back at any time. Thanks to the whole team.

Beautiful location above the rooftops of Aachen. Very central. Nice menu that everyone should find something on. Very good drinks menu. When we visited, the staff was a bit thin, which led to slightly longer waiting times. Prices are, as expected in a hotel restaurant, on the upper end of the spectrum. The audience is accordingly. There is also a live DJ in the evenings. Due to the inner-city location, the parking situation is rather tense. The hotel has its own underground car park and there are two other public car parks within walking distance.

If you have a little patience with the service (drinks are sometimes forgotten), both the first-class cuisine and the panorama are worth it.

It's a very nice atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and accommodating, the only change I would change but that's a matter of taste is the music, otherwise there's nothing to complain about, I would recommend it to everyone.

The quality of the food was okay, but the prices and portion sizes were not compatible. The service was sometimes unfriendly. However, the ambience was totally fine. In summary, I would not recommend the restaurant for eating - due to the price and the portion sizes. However, it's totally fine for drinking, thanks to comfortable seating lounges and an excellent view of the imperial city of Aachen.

Wenig los für Gründonnerstag, Einrichtung und Ausblick waren schön, Essen gut. Leider war es sehr ungemütlich, weil die gesamte Zeit während meines Aufenthaltes zum Abendessen Aufräum- und Dekorierarbeiten durchgeführt wurden, die ich als sehr störend empfand. Dies erzeugte eine stete Unruhe, auch weil sich das Personal dabei unterhielt und alberte. Unter einem gemütlichen Abendessen verstehe ich etwas anderes. Und das alles hätte auch zu einem früheren Zeitpunkt erledigt werden können. Ich war übrigens um 18:30 h der einzige Gast, und das am Abend des Gründonnerstags. Entweder ich esse viel früher als die üblichen Gäste hier oder es spricht nicht gerade für das Restaurant. Essen war gut und die Bedienung auch. Nur das Drumherum nervte.

The Sky Lounge is a beautiful experience that should be enjoyed. Breakfast there is great. Unwinding on the terrace is simply wonderful.

The service was nice and courteous and gave us good advice on our choice of food. The highlight were the very tasty cocktails that Dominik conjured up for us. I can highly recommend the espresso martini ☕️🍸 All in all a successful evening and we'll be happy to come back!

War mit ausländischen Gästen dort und um es zusammenfassend zu sagen, die Küche hat ein Problem. Die Kürbissuppe schmeckte muffig, ranzig und war versalzen, ging komplett zurück, der Burger hat mir die ganze Nacht schwere Krämpfe bereitet und der Fisch war auch nicht gut. Die Lage und Aussicht ist sehr schön, das Personal ist auch freundlich aber das Essen ist einfach nicht gut und dann auch völlig überbezahlt.

We had a very nice evening in the UpTown Sky Lounge. The bartender's cocktail recommendations were excellent and perfectly suited our taste (with and without alcohol). Someone understands and loves their work!!! The tapas variation and the Caesar salad were awesome, but the desserts (ceesecake and walnut souffle) surpassed everything. The service was very good and very attentive. We would like to thank you and would like to come back!

We were in up town again this morning. We had already been there some time ago and, as already described (but now deleted), it didn't work out with our voucher. We have a bad experience to tell here. The waitress brought us the wrong food. This can happen and was taken back to then serve the real food. But then charging us for everything is outrageous. When we asked, we were told in all seriousness that we had ordered wrong. What kind of impudence is this? My wife even asked when ordering what ingredients were used. I have never experienced anything like it. I'm still stunned. The boss then refunded us the price for the mistakenly brought food. General: The prices are too expensive for the quality. You probably have to pay for the view above all else. In any case not for friendly service...

We went for birthday breakfast and it was FANTASTIC! Discreetly but very lovingly decorated table, a little surprise nibble, great service, very discreet and AMAZINGLY delicious. Somehow I had brunch on my radar, but it's BREAKFAST. So at a quarter to 11 the last lap started, which was completely ok. The buffet leaves little to be desired (unfortunately I couldn't test the infused water because it had mint in it - that's stupid if you have an allergy ;) ). But from different types of bread to teas, quiche, muesli bar, cold cuts and cheese, the advice that you should ask for vegetarian and vegan options, full English breakfast - we were thrilled and will definitely come back.

The view is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. As in many restaurants, garlic is adulterated on everything. When I was finished with my dry lettuce leaves with seeds, balsamic vinegar came. A trainee was probably sent out to get it. My colleagues who don't suffer from allergies praised the food

The service was really great. The tables were always clean, glasses and cups were always full. The buffet was rich and for the first time at brunch we also had beans, which I really like to eat! The ambience........When do you ever have the opportunity to stand on the roof and look over Aachen. Exactly there! It was a really successful event! Again any time!

Die Speisekarte war sehr klein und passte nicht zur Homepage. Bei den offenen Getränken war 0,15 nicht immer 0,15. Der Service und die Leitung waren z. T. überfordert, obwohl es relativ leer war. Das gilt nicht für die Auszubildenden.

Waren bereits mehrfach zum Frühstück/Brunch dort und genießen den netten Service und die Aussicht. Tiefgarage im Haus sogar kostenlos

Wir waren gestern zum abendessen da , der Empfang durch das Personal im restaurant war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen und die Bar hervorragend, insbesondere die Empfehlung von Herr Aboghawi (Lachsfilet mit einem leichten und köstlichen Weißwein). Sehr empfehlenswerte Adresse.

Ich würde gerne 3,5 Sterne geben, aber das geht leider nicht. Das Essen war sehr gut zwar kein WoW Effekt aber gut. Auch das Ambiente ist sehr schön, der Laden ist sehr nett zum sitzen und wir hatten einen schönen Abend. Der Alkohol und die Bar gerade die Cocktails waren sehr sehr auch für Leute die keinen Alkohol trinken. Der einzige Mangel in meinen Augen war das Personal. Ich weiß nicht ob es daran lag, dass Weihnachten vorbei ist, aber das Personal wirkte auf mich sehr verstrahlt und war unaufmerksam. Man hat sich ständig übersehen gefühlt. Es war auf jeden Fall super freundlich aber wenn man selber an die Bar gehen muss, um nach einer Karte zu fragen da man nach 10 Minuten immer noch nicht bemerkt wurde (wir wollten einen Nachtisch bestellen) finde ich das nicht so gut. Trotzdem würde ich auf jeden Fall auf einen Cocktail nochmal wieder kommen.

Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Auf jeden fall Empfehlbar. Gerne wieder.

Hebben iets anders gekregen dan we besteld hadden. Ober komt terug en beweert het juiste gerecht bij te hebben. Na opzoekingswerk op Google gebleken dat wij gelijk hadden en wel degelijk iets anders besteld hadden. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Waren hier snel weg en is niet aan te raden.

Wirklich schickes und modernes Hotel. Sehr zentral, aber ruhig gelegen. Tagungsräume sind gut ausgestattet, das Essen und die Bar hervorragend. Lediglich die Kommunikation ist etwas schwierig, da kaum telefonisch zu erreichen. Und die Ladeplätze für eAutos funktionierten leider nicht. Aber sonst eine sehr empfehlenswerte Adresse

Waren zum Frühstücken da,und es war sehr schön,grosse Auswahl,mehrere Kaffeevollautomaten und tolles Personal. Insgesamt harmonisch.

Die Aussicht und das Ambiente sind außergewöhnlich und das selbst an einem nicht sonnenreichen Tag. Die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam. Kritik verdient die Auswahl an Brotsorten, so fehlte Vollwertbrot völlig. Auswahl an Aufschnitt war sehr begrenzt, kein Fisch zum Beispiel. Die warmen Speisen waren am englischen Geschmack orientiert. Die Abteilung für Süßspeisen war gut repräsentiert. Der Preis von 29,00€ war deutlich zu hoch angesetzt.

Excelent atmosphere. Dj played great music the whole evening, but we could still talk and listen to each other. It was dark and the weather wasn't good so we really couldn't enjoy the outdoors but I would visit it again to enjoy the views. The staff was fantastic. Super nice and patient. We were the last ones leaving, and they still didn't kick us out. 😀 Food was very good, especially the tapas. Perfect for sharing as a starter. We will come back in our next visit to Aachen.

Ich fühle mich hier richtig wohl. Super Ambiente, nettes Personal und auch nette Gäste. Man trifft hier so viele unterschiedliche Leute und kommt oft ins Gespräch. Die Aussicht ist super, ebenso die Außenterrasse. Gute Musik. Ich komme immer wieder und werde euch empfehlen!

Die Qualität und Quantität des Essens in der Sky Lounge entsprechen nicht annähernd den völlig überhöhten Preisen. Einen Cesar´s Salad mit ein paar wenigen Rindfleischstreifen für 31 Euro ist völlig überzogen und kam weder von der Zubereitung noch vom Rindfleisch her in die Nähe des Preises. Unter 20 Euro wären angemessen gewesen. Hummer als 1. Gang waren einige wenige Stückchen Fisch, als Hummer nicht mehr zu identifizieren für 35 Euro. Dann fing gegen 22:00 Uhr ein Discjockey an sich im Restaurant auszutoben. Viel zu laut um sich zu unterhalten, von der Lautstärke her für einen Club geeignet und leider nicht korrigierbar. 2 Bitten beim Personal führten für ein halbes Lied zu einer Verbesserung. Der Diskjockey fand sich selbst aber so toll und in seinem Element, dass es umgehend wieder laut wurde. Meine eigene Ansprache führte zu der Erklärung, dass andere Gäste es gerne lauter hätten, was Quatsch war, den er wurde von Niemanden ansonsten angesprochen. Gäste am Nachbartisch fanden es ebenso zu laut. Weiterhin störend war, daß Heerscharen von Menschen ständig durch das Restaurant strömten, um einen Blick von der Außen Terrasse zu werfen. Insofern eine völlig überteuerte und überschätzte Aussichtsplattform aber kein Restaurant was dem Preisniveau entspricht. Ich kann nur abraten dort zu Abend zu essen. Das Personal war hingegen sehr bemüht.

So, apart from it being expensive, it had wonderful service. The staffs were very friendly, also funny. The view was magnificent and surprisingly, the toilet was squeaky clean, which shows how clean the kitchen must've been. If u are looking for a romantic dinner with your date, this is the perfect place to go!!!

Wir waren gestern mit einer größeren Gruppe da. Die Vorspeise war wie bestellt. Portion war gut. Allerdings gab es beim Hauptgang wohl leichte Probleme in der Küche. Auf die einzelnen Bestellungen der Gäste,wie z.B. Art der Beilagen, Gargrad des Filets wurde zwar vom Service eingegangen, jedoch wurde aus der Küche an jeden das Gleiche ausgegeben. Das Fleisch war nicht mal medium, sondern maximal medium rare und kalt. Da besteht seitens der Küche noch erheblicher Nachholbedarf . Die Nachspeise war sehr übersichtlich und ihr Geld definitiv nicht wert. Ich kann das Lokal so leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Die Qualität des Essens rechtfertigt den Preis. Dazu kommt noch die einzigartige Aussicht über die Dächer von Aachen. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

This place it's amazing a most go to if you in Aachen. The staff is really friendly Maili, Ani, Rizme, and Juria were great providing a service like no other. I been in other hotel restaurants and by far this is the best and the drinks are out of this world. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Aachen or staying at the innside hotel. I would recommend the breakfast or early dinner to see sunrise and sunset

Das Essen war absolut super. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert - rundum glücklich. Besonders zu erwähnen ist der Service, der heutzutage selbst bei gutpreisigen Locations oft mies ist. Absolut top! Permanent freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Nette Beratung bei der Ginwahl und zum Dank fpr den Besuch am Ende noch ein Getränk aufs Haus. Ambiente war auch super, allerdings standen teilweise irgendwelche Leute um uns herum wie bestellt und nicht abgeholt, was kurzzeitig genervt hat. Sehr zu empfehlen! Hat Spaß gemacht und war den Besuch definitiv wert.

Très bel endroit, un des rares rooftop d'Aachen, nous y avons bu un verre , puis mangé un petit bout, top !

Das Restaurant ist in der oberen Etage vom MELIA Hotel, man kann unten in der Tiefgarage gut parken. Leider muss man das Parkticket dann an Rezeption bezahlen und kann das nicht direkt beim bezahlen im Restaurant machen. Das kostet Zeit. Im Restaurant sitzt man gut, mit einem schönen Blick auf Aachen, insbesondere die Terrasse Hat einen tollen Blick auf Dom und Rathaus. Das Essen hat alles einen asiatischen Touch, ist aber sehr lecker und zu empfehlen. Hier kann man einen schönen Abend verbringen.

This place tries to be very fancy and it is actually having a more fancy and higher class feeling than usual bars in Aachen. Therefore I find it suitable for an evening drink after a business meetings. The bar itself is placed on top of a roof with a good view of the city of Aachen, but it's nothing extraordinary. The prices here are quite high and the cocktails are just average and small. I didn't try food.
