Uncle Smash in München

The place is really just okay. The crispy chicken burger was a disappointment. There are much better burgers out there. The cheeseburger, however, was pretty good. The place was a bit small, but okay. Employees are rarely at the counter, but can be reached by ringing the bell. Prices were okay.

Burgers are delicious, fries are crispy. But waiting times of more than an hour are simply too long.

The value for money is simply not good! The burger wasn't convincing in terms of taste. I hate to say it, but I get better quality at McDonald's. I think the predominantly positive reviews (which is why I stopped by) are from earlier times.

The burger was absolutely okay - the fries were too soft. No greeting when we entered the shop. There was no eye contact, nor was there any reciprocation of the conversation. It's sad that you can't even recommend it. I'm sorry to say I have to remove this spot from my Munich list.

An amazing place to get smash burgers! Went there on a Sunday evening around 6pm and it was really packed, also not great that the place was not so big. After a moment we realized that it is packed with food delivery drivers and there were not much people who are wanting to eat there so we actually did get a table even if there were only five tables inside and three tables outside. The food comes out quick enough but they do have some organization issues with the orders, it was very very common to see people getting someone else’s order within the 30 minutes we were there but it was always solved. We tried the hamburger, french fries, and their chicken nuggets. The burger was near perfection with the patty being crispy on the sides and juicy in the inside. Their french fries were also really tasty and their nuggets also tasted well above average. The hamburger was 6.7€. The six pieces of chicken nuggets and the normal french fries were 4.5€. The price to portion ratio here is also not bad considering that we are eating in Munich. Would recommend the place and might just come back to try their other burgers!

The food quality was excellent! The smashed burger was just perfect – crispy on the outside while staying juicy on the inside. The fries were also really good. The place doesn't have many seats, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. I totally recommend this place!

We ordered from Uncle Smash through Wolt. Due to the distance, the fries were a bit cold and not that good anymore. I think it makes a difference locally. The packaging is very large, the burgers are rather normal. The buns were super soft and super fluffy, so really good! We also really liked the sauce and everything. The burger patty also tasted delicious. For us personally, the burgers could be a bit bigger. You almost need 2 cheeseburgers🤭🙈

I ate here for the second time yesterday and had a stomach ache all evening. Quality is more like McDonald’s, only more expensive.

Great shop! The food is high quality and inexpensive, every cent was worth it! I tried a few burgers on my trip to Nuremberg and everyone couldn't come close to this burger. The burger was perfect from top to bottom! Hopefully there will be one in NRW soon! The ambience is also really cool and beautifully done, a bit small but nice!

Very small shop, the aisles and spaces are full of tons of bottle crates. Uncomfortable atmosphere. Not-clean tables. Worn out furniture. Food tasted good. Quality rather doubtful.

I was there today. The shop seems a bit run down, the food was okay. I visited the restaurant because it is considered halal, but there was no label to that effect. When I asked, I only received a nod in response, which didn't give me a particularly trustworthy impression.

The sauces (on the burger/with the fries) were very tasty. Unfortunately, the meat had small pieces of gristle in it and wasn't very tasty. The place seemed clean, but the restroom was unfortunately really dirty.

These burgers are some of the best burgers I have ever eaten. The prices are absolutely reasonable and the staff is incredibly nice. I will definitely go there more often!

My order at Uncle Smash was a complete disappointment and shattered all my expectations of a burger joint. I ordered a hamburger, but what I got was an insulting disappointment. Not only was the burger squashed, but it was also ice-cold and had a rancid taste, as if it had been sitting there for days. Every bite was excruciating. But that wasn't enough – the fries were the icing on the cake. Cold, soggy, and also had that disgusting rancid aftertaste. I literally wondered if the food was intentionally prepared so poorly. After one attempt at eating it, I had to throw it all away. It was simply inedible. And the best part? I paid a whopping €17 for this "culinary" nightmare! That's an absolute disgrace for what I got. The bottom line: Uncle Smash managed to convince me, after just one visit, to never return. Anyone who cares even a little about quality, taste, or their money should avoid this place. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. Never again!

Taste just average and too expensive for what is offered.

I ordered today 3/14/25 at 6:40 p.m. I had to wait 2 hours for my food. That's all well and good and I understand if there's a lot going on on Friday. But when the food arrived it was cold and inedible, even the chocolate sauce at McDonald's was warmer than everything put together!

Burger good close to great,maybe a bit greasy. Not sure. Fries better. 13 € including a soft drink ok for Munich I guess even if we are not in an exclusive area or location.

We had the menu with the cheeseburger and fries. The fries were ok, but the burger (100g) was too dry for my taste and somehow lacked seasoning. Overall it was unfortunately bland and boring. It was ok to try out, but we wouldn't go there again. Addendum: having bad and honest reviews removed by Google and accusing customers of defamation borders on fraud. Therefore now only one star instead of 2!

I had a single chili cheese burger. My burger patty didn't taste good at all because apparently a whole load of pepper was spilled on it. I tried to scratch it, but unfortunately the whole burger was messed up. Since I took it with me, I couldn't complain about the burger.

The burger was dismantled at the time when new ones were opened, it was crazy, today it's become 089 burger, I say make it medium, it cooks completely well, on one side there was just peppery taste from the meat and the meat was no longer good sry, not recommended at the moment, if you improve, I'll take this comment out

I got a 200g barbecue burger with sweet potatoes. The burger was really good. The sweet potatoes were okay.

The cheeseburger is a really good option in the menu. Sweet potatoes are tasty. This place is a good option if you want to eat smash burgers. 🍔 It would be nice if they would have more tables, they only have 4 or outside.

I was extremely positively surprised by my chili cheeseburger and the regular cheeseburger. The sweet potato fries were also very good, but the chili-cheese fries weren't particularly tasty. Relatively small, but enough to eat a burger!! Would definitely come again for the burgers.

Fraud!!!! What an impudence! We ordered a burger with DOUBLE patty (+€3.50) via uber Eats, but only got one patty. Unfortunately it was not possible to contact the restaurant and complain about this. We are deeply upset because the burger was really small and there was nothing we could do about it. Apparently not the first time, so NO recommendation, we will pass this on in our area!

I'm really very very surprised! I'm hardly a meat eater but these burgers are really awesome. I don't understand what some people here say that some burgers are too dry? The meat is grilled until crispy and all the vegetables that go into the burger are very fresh, you can tell straight away, plus the bread is perfect too! I will only eat at Uncle Smash's when we don't cook at home. By the way, fries are great too, as is the sauce. Everything is good in terms of price, please let it stay that way hehe. The employee was also very correct and treated me with respect. I think it would generally just be better if the store was expanded in terms of space because it's really well received anyway and then you don't always have to order take-away. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed by this store, I had a good feeling! Don't think too much, just treat yourself!

Were there because of the INSTA hype. Burger poor, fries good. Service actually 0 stars because it doesn't exist. Had to clear the table ourselves! To be clear: I hope this post helps to improve things. Problem: The uncle didn't apologize to us, but had the negative review of my SUFFERing comrade deleted from Google. SHAME!

I think this is my new favorite burger place. Everything is great. Burgers, fries, taste, prices, friendliness, drinks. Friz Kola and lemonades, Elephant Bay Ice Tea, Adelholzner water. The fries are super crunchy and deliciously seasoned. Deserved 5 stars. There is nothing to improve.

The very best smash burger in and around Munich at absolutely fair prices. There is a menu with fries and fritz for €13.90. And it tastes incredibly delicious. It just didn't taste like I hoped. I had a cheeseburger and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were quite nice (but about €5 for 4 pieces???) and the dip that went with them also went well with the chicken. With the cheeseburger, the bun was just way too soft for my taste, I'm sure there are people who like it that way, but it was too soft for me. What I missed about the burger is that the meat was really crispy on the edge, but that wasn't the case there. You couldn't even really taste the meat because the sauce (which didn't go well with the meat at all, maybe better with chicken) dominated everything. So basically, if I lived nearby, I would definitely order the chicken tenders home, but nothing more.

Well, first of all, the employees are really nice, the burgers are so tasty and really filling. Because of the interior design, you don't feel like you're being stared at in McS, etc. PLUS the fries are perfectly seasoned and the sauce that goes with them is just too delicious. Found this place through a random tik tok account with halal spots in Munich. It’s not your basic burgers! Food is fresh and many options to choose from beef/chicken/falafel and can opt for a meal deal. The lad behind the counter was very patient with us and gave us complimentary sauces. The place itself was our vibe especially with the music choices. If your in the area, why not!

Was finally able to pay a visit to the restaurant. The burger and fries were really tasty and filled me up perfectly. Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't really clean and the entrance door to the restaurant was badly stuck. Along with many other guests, I also had difficulty opening the door to get in and out of the restaurant.

I once had the chilli cheeseburger and once the cheeseburger. Both very tasty and also very freshly prepared. The fries and the accompanying sauce cannot be beaten in terms of taste. The staff is always friendly and very nice. It doesn't take long until the food is ready. We always enjoy coming back and I would recommend it to everyone!! The shop is a bit small but the atmosphere is otherwise very pleasant. 10/10
