Uncle Smash in München

My order at Uncle Smash was a complete disappointment and shattered all my expectations of a burger joint. I ordered a hamburger, but what I got was an insulting disappointment. Not only was the burger squashed, but it was also ice-cold and had a rancid taste, as if it had been sitting there for days. Every bite was excruciating. But that wasn't enough – the fries were the icing on the cake. Cold, soggy, and also had that disgusting rancid aftertaste. I literally wondered if the food was intentionally prepared so poorly. After one attempt at eating it, I had to throw it all away. It was simply inedible. And the best part? I paid a whopping €17 for this "culinary" nightmare! That's an absolute disgrace for what I got. The bottom line: Uncle Smash managed to convince me, after just one visit, to never return. Anyone who cares even a little about quality, taste, or their money should avoid this place. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. Never again!

Taste only average and too expensive for what is offered.

I ordered today 3/14/25 at 6:40 p.m. I had to wait 2 hours for my food. That's all well and good and I understand if there's a lot going on on Friday. But when the food arrived it was cold and inedible, even the chocolate sauce at McDonald's was warmer than everything put together!

Burger good close to great,maybe a bit greasy. Not sure. Fries better. 13 € including a soft drink ok for Munich I guess even if we are not in an exclusive area or location.

We had the menu with the cheeseburger and fries. The fries were ok, but the burger (100g) was too dry for my taste and somehow lacked seasoning. Overall it was unfortunately bland and boring. It was ok to try out, but we wouldn't go there again. Addendum: having bad and honest reviews removed by Google and accusing customers of defamation borders on fraud. Therefore now only one star instead of 2!

I had a single chili cheese burger. My burger patty didn't taste good at all because apparently a whole load of pepper was spilled on it. I tried to scratch it, but unfortunately the whole burger was messed up. Since I took it with me, I couldn't complain about the burger.

Put’s the “fast” in “fast food” but not in a good way…very low quality and it seems burgers are not freshly made but 10-20 mins in advance waiting to be ordered

The burger was dismantled at the time when new ones were opened, it was crazy, today it's become 089 burger, I say make it medium, it cooks completely well, on one side there was just peppery taste from the meat and the meat was no longer good sry, not recommended at the moment, if you improve, I'll take this comment out

The cheeseburger is a really good option in the menu. Sweet potatoes are tasty. This place is a good option if you want to eat smash burgers. 🍔 It would be nice if they would have more tables, they only have 4 or outside.

I was extremely positively surprised by my chili cheeseburger and the regular cheeseburger. The sweet potato fries were also very good, but the chili-cheese fries weren't particularly tasty. Relatively small, but enough to eat a burger!! Would definitely come again for the burgers.

Fraud!!!! What an impudence! We ordered a burger with DOUBLE patty (+€3.50) via uber Eats, but only got one patty. Unfortunately it was not possible to contact the restaurant and complain about this. We are deeply upset because the burger was really small and there was nothing we could do about it. Apparently not the first time, so NO recommendation, we will pass this on in our area!

It's like a run-down American bar... The first time I ate it (ordered it for home), it was delicious, but the second time I ate it, I felt like I smelled the meat. I can't tell from the atmosphere of the place.

I'm really very very surprised! I'm hardly a meat eater but these burgers are really awesome. I don't understand what some people here say that some burgers are too dry? The meat is grilled until crispy and all the vegetables that go into the burger are very fresh, you can tell straight away, plus the bread is perfect too! I will only eat at Uncle Smash's when we don't cook at home. By the way, fries are great too, as is the sauce. Everything is good in terms of price, please let it stay that way hehe. The employee was also very correct and treated me with respect. I think it would generally just be better if the store was expanded in terms of space because it's really well received anyway and then you don't always have to order take-away. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed by this store, I had a good feeling! Don't think too much, just treat yourself!

Were there because of the INSTA hype. Burger poor, fries good. Service actually 0 stars because it doesn't exist. Had to clear the table ourselves! To be clear: I hope this post helps to improve things. Problem: The uncle didn't apologize to us, but had the negative review of my SUFFERing comrade deleted from Google. SHAME!

It just didn't taste like I hoped. I had a cheeseburger and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were quite nice (but about €5 for 4 pieces???) and the dip that went with them also went well with the chicken. With the cheeseburger, the bun was just way too soft for my taste, I'm sure there are people who like it that way, but it was too soft for me. What I missed about the burger is that the meat was really crispy on the edge, but that wasn't the case there. You couldn't even really taste the meat because the sauce (which didn't go well with the meat at all, maybe better with chicken) dominated everything. So basically, if I lived nearby, I would definitely order the chicken tenders home, but nothing more.

I think this is my new favorite burger place. Everything is great. Burgers, fries, taste, prices, friendliness, drinks. Friz Kola and lemonades, Elephant Bay Ice Tea, Adelholzner water. The fries are super crunchy and deliciously seasoned. Deserved 5 stars. There is nothing to improve.

The very best smash burger in and around Munich at absolutely fair prices. There is a menu with fries and fritz for €13.90. And it tastes incredibly delicious. I absolutely loved my visit to Uncle Smash! The chicken burger was to die for - juicy, perfectly seasoned and with a delicious sauce that gave the whole thing that certain something. I also had the sweet potato fries, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - simply heavenly! The service was super friendly and the food came quickly. Well, first of all, the employees are really nice, the burgers are so tasty and really filling. Because of the interior design, you don't feel like you're being stared at in McS, etc. PLUS the fries are perfectly seasoned and the sauce that goes with them is just too delicious. You definitely have to go if you read this review!!

Found this place through a random tik tok account with halal spots in Munich. It’s not your basic burgers! Food is fresh and many options to choose from beef/chicken/falafel and can opt for a meal deal. The lad behind the counter was very patient with us and gave us complimentary sauces. The place itself was our vibe especially with the music choices. If your in the area, why not!

Was finally able to pay a visit to the restaurant. The burger and fries were really tasty and filled me up perfectly. Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't really clean and the entrance door to the restaurant was badly stuck. Along with many other guests, I also had difficulty opening the door to get in and out of the restaurant.

I once had the chilli cheeseburger and once the cheeseburger. Both very tasty and also very freshly prepared. The fries and the accompanying sauce cannot be beaten in terms of taste. The staff is always friendly and very nice. It doesn't take long until the food is ready. We always enjoy coming back and I would recommend it to everyone!! The shop is a bit small but the atmosphere is otherwise very pleasant. 10/10

About Burger : We expected smash but we didn’t get any. It supposed to be smashed bun but the burger bun was just normal as usual. Meat patty was smashed but tasteless, I suppose it is frozen meat patty which is kinda sad because I come to this store because I don’t want to fry burger myself at home obviously. would expect at least fresh meat. Also the feel that I have after the burger is very heavy and uncomfortable. Fries and the sauce were ok. Service: The guys were ok and friendly BUT the toilet was not ready to use and very dirty as if it was not cleaned for weeks 😭 as a girl I just left. They didn’t have any soap or dry towels. Horrible experience really. I would not recommend this place to my friends or Family.

The burger tasted good. The best was the patty. Perfectly seasoned and crispy. Unfortunately the fillings were 0815. Smash Burger is hip and trendy right now, but then you shouldn't top the burger with lollo Bionda leaves, tomato slices and pre-bought cucumber slices like on Burger Day in the university cafeteria. It's a shame, because the bun was juicy and perfectly toasted and, as I said, the patty was also very tasty. The interior design looked like they were trying to be hip but weren't willing to spend money on it. I have to say that I waited 7 minutes even though no one was in front of me, i.e. the counter wasn't occupied and no one saw when someone came in. The order itself went very quickly. For quick hunger and price but fair and good. Conclusion: you could do more if you wanted.

Rate Uncle Smash 5 stars, otherwise Seiten Sifir will come to you at 3am and ring the bell...

During a short trip to Munich, my husband and I, who are big burger lovers, decided on this restaurant. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the decor and the food - it really felt like we were biting into a NYC burger again. There was a lot to choose from as a side dish and each one appealed to the stomach and the taste buds. Of course the service was quick and friendly. Unusually delicious smashburgers

I ate the BBQ burger with sweet potatoes and it was one of the best smash burgers in Munich. The store is also very affordable in terms of price. Employees were very nice and the music and ambience were very cool. Would recommend to every burger fan.

This place is touted as one of the best food spots in Munich, but unfortunately my experience was anything but positive. It was by far one of the most disappointing visits I have ever made. If you really want a good burger, you should try a smash burger in Vienna. I ordered Menu 2 with a cheeseburger - you get a burger, fries and a drink, but no one mentioned the free stomach ache afterwards. My suggestion: A rename to “Uncle Disappointment” would be more appropriate. Kind regards from Austria it means.

The burgers are simple and unpretentious. There were 5 of us, so we had 5 different menus. The fries are average. The waiter is rather unpleasant and makes no effort to communicate with us (tourists passing through). A smile would completely change the mood. The welcome is non-existent, even with other customers. He doesn't move from his counter, not even to take the drinks and open them. The music is way too loud. There are better places elsewhere in Munich.
